Nalibia
Iruka- King Masha Ekene of Gazin declares, this year his capital will host the biggest and most exciting Festival of Lights in the empire. If you remember, last year King Masha faced scrutiny after his grandiose display started a small wildfire in the neighboring parish; though no one was harmed in the ensuing chaos, many worry that a bigger display will lead to a similar disaster. In other news our Imperial Nalibian Rugby team has won it's first game of the year. Obyke and Tariku have more on this exciting victory. Obyke- Yes and thank you Iruka. Last night's game showed that Nalibian Rugby has arrived on the world stage, and come to show what we bring to the sport. Starting off the season, captain Sunbola Ngozi Ezera took to the field with his team to lead them in the Xakrim War Chant. I have to say this pumped up the team and really got the crowd going. Tariku- Oh yes it did Obyke, but what got me excited was the end when The Lightbringers pulled out a victory over the Giovannilandian National Rugby Team three to ten, which is no easy feat. What an exciting match, watching both team play for the win last night. Obyke- Lets hope our brothers and sisters keep that same energy going into the next games. A lot of teams have showed up and they are all trying to be number one at the end of the season. Tariku- Oh make no doubt of it Obyke, this is only the beginning. We will be seeing the Giovannilandian again, and I am sure the other teams are getting ready for what is sure to be an action packed season. Back to you Iruka. Larxia
Larxia 18 - 0 Hertfordia In a stunning show of strength and strategy, the Larxian National Rugby Team opened their Rugby World Cup campaign with an impressive 18-0 victory over Hertfordia. The match saw Larxia dominate from the first whistle to the final play, setting the tone for what promises to be an exciting tournament for the team and its supporters. First Half: From the onset, Larxia asserted their dominance on the field. Their forwards showcased immense physicality, winning crucial scrums and lineouts that laid the groundwork for their attacking plays. The first points of the match came from a well-executed penalty kick by the fly-half Henrique Castro, putting Larxia on the scoreboard with a 3-0 lead. Larxia's backline, led by the inside center Aarón Sánchez and outside center Nathanial Bishop, consistently breached Hertfordia's defensive lines. A brilliantly coordinated move saw Bishop break through to score the first try of the match, extending the lead to 8-0 after a successful conversion by Castro. Second Half: The second half continued in a similar fashion, with Larxia maintaining the pressure and control. Scrum-half Miguel Oliveira orchestrated the plays with precision, while number 8 Lucas Thatcher was relentless in both attack and defense. Hertfordia struggled to gain any foothold in the game, as Larxia's defensive line, led by fullback Aiden Redwood and blind-side flanker Felix Winterbourne, stood firm. Another penalty kick from Castro, followed by a superb try from right wing Gabriel Lockhart, sealed the victory. Lockhart's try came after a swift counterattack that left the Hertfordian defense scrambling. With the final conversion by Castro, Larxia's lead was cemented at 18-0. Pre-Match Analysis: As Larxia prepares for their next group stage match against Rivalfiume, the team will need to maintain their high level of performance. Larxia's backline, particularly the centers Sánchez and Bishop, will need to be on top form to break through Rivalfiume's lines. Additionally, the game management skills of Oliveira will be crucial in controlling the pace of the match. Larxia's comprehensive victory over Hertfordia sets a positive tone for the World Cup journey, but the upcoming clashes will require an even more focused and strategic approach to secure qualification. Nouveau
Organisation Nationale de Radio Publique A Man With A Bionic Arm Just Lifted 50 Pounds Today; What Does That Mean For Mankind? 25/6/1424 | Evening News Erastus Osepheus Ruisseau Rouge - A man with near-total organ replacement stood on his own today at Hôpital Universitaire Tombeau. Calvus Aura, a 32-year-old from Ruisseau Rouge, suffered injuries while in the line of duty as a Viriarma trooper in 1422. Aura was rushed to the hospital, and held in a coma for three months as doctors worked extensively to repair his body. Although he was stabilized, doctors couldn't save his arm, and it had to be amputated. Calvus and his family opted into the RMP Program at Hôpital Universitaire Tombeau. The experimental program would use Calvus’ surviving nerves to control a new kind of bio-electrical prosthetic, controlled by impulses from his mind. It took two years of training, but it all came together today. Aura picked up a 50-pound weight with both hands today. “I live, again,” Aura said with a laugh. He lifted up his 4-year-old son Felix with his own strength. The BPF-05, a prosthetic arm created by the RMP and used for Calvus Aura's surgery “Procedures like this can be very risky,” said Dr. Darien Germignac. Dr. Germignac is a research doctor specializing in prosthetics at Hôpital Universitaire Dusquene, and was part of the Xenogenesis program in 1422. “Bio-electrical receptors can be attacked or consumed by the body. They can also regress, and have to be removed. Mister Aura is incredibly fortunate. I am not his physician, but based on what I see, he can return to a normal life fairly soon.” Commandant Nicholas Etienne “Trooper Calvus Aura served his community diligently,” said Commandant of the Viriarma Nicholas Etienne. He spoke at a press conference on an unrelated matter. “I’m glad we could serve him just as well.” Aura was awarded the Purple Shield for being injured during the line of duty, and the Medal of Honor, both of which will be given at a future ceremony according to Etienne. When asked what he plans to do with his new arm, Aura said, “The first thing is live.” He also mentioned returning to service in the Viriarma, but that will depend on a number of approvals from his physician and the medical staff of the Viriarma. Aura's accomplishment also has impacts for the rest of society. The ability to lift 50 pounds unimpeded means a person with such a prosthetic can return to manual work without exceptions, according to the Ministry of Health. Severe workplace injuries often lead to people who must live on government benefits for the rest of their lives. Prosthetics like the one Aura has lift up people who once lived less independent lives, and now give them the ability to do the ordinary things in life again. G: Glorious new leader? J: Don’t even call her that as a joke. G: I think you worry too much. J: I think you worry too little. Have you actually read her campaign? G: Of course I have, it’s been blasted on every news channel 24/7. J: And it doesn’t concern you? G: It’s not like she’s gonna follow through. She’ll try to pass a crazy law or two, get forced into a compromise bill, and when her base sees she comes home empty handed they’ll drop her. J: She wants to ban meat! G: I don’t have much sympathy for flesh gluttons anyway. J: She wants to send armed fleets into the Darkesian! G: It’s not like she’s going to declare war. J: She might! G: I just think we shouldn’t be too alarmist, that’s all. J: It’s literally the stupid leading the blind. G: If anything, I think it’s good she’s chosen a handful of Blessed as her advisors. Perhaps their sight beyond sight may help temper her. J: I just can’t believe that madwoman was selected in the first place. G: There’s really no need to be so dramatic. She’s all talk, a living fad. Ostronia
Liegen Star Stadium Anders, Overthinkers “And here’s our head coach, Erik Tafa, who played in last year’s cup as the Stars fly-half and team captain!” Karl Olsen announced as Erik took the stage under the dazzling lights. It wasn’t his first postgame interview in front of the press, nor even in front of the world press, but it was his first interview not wearing rugby kit. Erik tugged at his stiff collar and took a seat, pouring himself a glass of water. Karl took the opportunity to pick the first hand. He singled out an Ostronian reporter in the front. “Babatunde Olufemi, Times of Gida. Coach Tafa, when the Stars left Ostronia last week for the cup here in Overthinkers, you said ‘nothing’s certain until we’re on the pitch.’ Now that you’ve been on the pitch and won your first match in the group stage, how are you feeling about the Stars’ chances this year?” Erik forgot to turn on his mic before replying. Karl quickly handed him his own mic. “Ahem, well as you know I only took this job a month ago and to be frank, I was hedging our bets. It’s a new team from last year and a lot of the boys haven’t played together before. Star power makes good magazine covers, but it doesn’t make a good team. Over the past month, we’ve drilled hard together to really build a team to win, but you never really know until you really hit the pitch. Today we did great, but there’s always room for improvement.” Erik surveyed the audience. “You there, on the left.” The reporter from Ryxtylopia stood. “Ferrán Disvexia, 7Notixias. Coach Tafa, congratulations on the win. But it seems like it was a slow start for the Stars on the pitch today—the Denierians had you tied for most of the first half until your breakaway in the second. How are you feeling about your chances in your next match against Mygrdiyah?” Erik scratched the back of his head and shrugged. “Hopefully they’ve used up all their beginner’s luck,” he smiled. The press gaggle chuckled. “But really, I don’t expect them to make it easy for us. They’re going to make us play hard for it just like anybody else. So far they seem to me like more of a defensive team, but I have confidence in our wingers and especially our hooker, Mahmud Aliyu, to overcome that. Today proved our offense can produce. “And you, the one on the right?” “Santino Odom, El Mundo. Congratulations on the win. You mentioned your hooker’s excellent performance today. Given that the Ostronian roster only has fifteen players and no bench, are you worried if someone on the team gets injured?” “It keeps me up every night. Seriously. I understand the budgetary constraints on the Ostronian Rugby Federation,” he glanced towards Karl, “but we could really do with even an extra man. If it does happen, maybe I’ll don my old kit. But I’m fairly certain that’s against cup rules,” he chuckled. “In the end, I’m seeking a balance between our aggressive playstyle and keeping the team healthy. Maybe that means we aren’t as aggressive as some might want, but rugby is a strategic game, not just an athletic one. Playing a little slower not only keeps us safer—it makes sure we have the time to find and exploit all the opportunities in front of us.” “Thank you, Coach Tafa,” Karl brushed off the dig at the Ostronian Rugby Federation with a showman’s smile. “I’m sorry ladies and gentlemen, but that’s all the time the coach has today for questions. Thank you for coming.” United Adaikes, Nouveau, Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia and 2 others
Overthinkers
. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .You lost the game. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . LEGISLATION EV regulations stymied by eleventh-hour amendment, returned to committee By Ronda Bend Landmark legislation that would have introduced much-needed regulation for electric vehicles (EVs) ground to a screeching halt Monday as the bureaucratic behemoth tripped over its own tail yet again. Congressman Thad Jeffers (NUP-Worth) authored an amendment on the floor for Bill 31036 that introduced multiple changes, including but not limited to removing spending restrictions on revenue from the proposed registration upcharges, while simultaneously granting smaller jurisdictions more agency in permitting. Despite being largely unrelated to one another and ostensibly severable, they were submitted as a single package. The amendment launched a lengthy, multipartisan debate which ultimately concluded in a legislator objecting to even voting on the amendment. The objection was denied, and the amendment failed to pass. However, enough Congresspeople were evidently convinced that the bill could stand to be fleshed out further. In a rare move, the body voted to return Bill 31036 to committee. Returning a bill to committee is a rarely-used option for a reason. The bill does not officially die, but is instead returned to the authoring committee for the purpose of further revision. However, nothing obligates that committee to reconvene before the end of the legislative session. In the past 20 years, only 12 bills have been returned to committee, and of those, only 1 was heard on the floor again. Until the amendment was submitted, Jeffers—the sole author listed on it—had yet to comment on the legislation at all. However, he was believed to be an ally of its most outspoken opponent Gina Caeren (ODP-Ient). Jeffers continued to not comment when questioned by media after Congress recessed for the day. Other political figures were more vocal. “To call this a disappointment would be an understatement,” stated senior POP Congressman, Jon Corn. “In the span of twenty minutes, 99 people forgot how to compromise. Not every bill is going to be perfect—we leave room for the executive to hammer out the details.” Caeren herself stated, “It’s a surprising outcome but not an unwelcome one. We already have regulations for cars on the books. We don’t need to complicate it for just a few select drivers.” “How did you people manage this one?” former NUP Councilor Wendy Sharp asked on her BackLog page, without elaborating. The authoring committee of Bill 31036, the Committee on Peculiar Modes of Transport, wrapped up its duties in April, and the chair, Congresswoman Stephanie Could (NUP-Cangham), is on medical leave. JurisJournal will be monitoring this legislation closely as always. Nouveau, Arifiyyah, Zoran and 4 others
Peourouin
Draggis Got concert shakes Mingguang, ground tremor felt tens of kilometers away by Su Peng, Junior Writer Last night, tremors were felt throughout the early evening. Was it an earthquake? A phantom spirit coming to show Esferosians who’s boss? Not quite, rather coming from a famed superstar. Fans of the beloved and well acclaimed artist Draggis Got had shaken the Peourouin Financial Arena so intensely that seismic activity up to 20km away was reported as a magnitude M3.2 earthquake. City-goers posted to social platforms noting confusion and fright during the shaking caused by the concert in the Arena. One woman posted on KeKe, “omg,,, the ground is shaking. Anyone feeling an earthquake coming???????!!” A local news station, MGNN4, was on air when the shaking was starting to be felt. Crew and anchors noticed the shaking and began to issue a tremor alert. While no damages were reported and no injuries were the effect of last night’s jump-fest, the fans gave the city a great shake of modern popular music. Fujai
Fujai Folkskommunarna Fujai (fu:'jaɪ, foo-yEYE) is a small coastal nation of just over 7 million residents, located in the north of the Polari continent. Rugby is the most commonly played sport in Fujai, especially in rural and industrial areas of the country. The Dalimbari are often credited with bringing modern rugby to Fujai during their occupation of parts of the country beginning in 1242. The Landslag The Rugby Landslag, colloquially known as Fnokkirni ("the [snow]flakes") is made up of the finest players in Fujai, a few of whome would be considered of truly international quality. It is sponsored by Fujais Rugby Idrottsforbund (FRIF - Fujansk Rugby Sports Federation), a member of Fujais Idrottsforbund (FIF - Fujansk Sports Federation). Most Landslag players come from Fujai's top league, Højserien, though a few come from the second league, Midtserien. The winningest clubs tend to be from the regions of Jornstrand and Mærte, where the sport is most popular. The Landslag is looking to reclaim its historical winnings, and has an eye out for the prize this Cup. Fujais Idrottsforbund Fujais Idrottsforbund (FIF) is the federation of labor unions representing all sports players and workers in sports-associated industries. It is separate from the Fujansk government, but receives accreditation and financial and infrastructural support from it. Its structure includes clubs at the local level (e.g. a local sports club), which are constituents of fylke organizations, which are a part of the larger federation representing specific sports (e.g. Fujais Fotbollforbund for football), which are then members of FIF. Fujais Rugby Idrottsforbund Fujais Rugby Idrottsforbund (FRIF) is the labor union that governs some forms of football in Fujai and represents all players, related workers, and clubs in the country. The main sports under its purview are rugby union, sevens, and league and gridiron football. FRIF's Rugbyseksjon organizes the nation's rugby union league play, with twelve clubs competing at the highest level. The twelve clubs that currently compete in the top flight of rugby union are: Brattisk IF - Brattfors, Vørreshall, Jornstrand Bruland IF - Keiserholde, Keiserholde, Vestfjordarna Hæreby KRF - Hæreby, Vemselag, Mærte Hafstrand 07 FF - Hafstrand, Keiserholde, Vestfjordarna Havnarbetirs IF - Braskvik, Heldingland, Mærte Kalsborg Fossen FK - Kalsborg, Ekemark, Rannland Lakseåkar IF - Lakseåkar, Oppmærte, Mærte RF Ludde - Ludde, Firsmark, Skolland Rønnon IL - Rønnon, Vørreshall, Jornstrand Solbakken IL - Keiserholde, Keiserholde, Vestfjordarna Tåkstads RK - Tåkstad, Mærtesund, Mærte RF Vemdemning - Vemdemning, Vemselag, Mærte Important Notes (!) Editor's note on gender: Fujansk culture does not have individual gender categories. The five common genders were historically recognized, though categories and classifications of gender expression have broken down in the last few centuries, resulting in today's non-categorical perception of gender. Since the Fujansk language does not have gendered pronouns, most Fujar choose choose to use gender-neutral pronouns when interacting in the common tongue, such as they/them. All players on the Landslag use they/them pronouns in the common language. Translator's note: Landslaget translates to "The National Team," while Landslag translates to "National Team." In the common tongue, one would say "the Landslag did well" or "Landslaget did well," not "the Landslaget did well" (the translated equivalent of "the The Landslag did well"). This is because the Fujansk language uses suffixes to create definite nouns instead of articles. See Den Fujanske Ordboken (The Fujansk Dictionary) for more information. Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia
A "Familar" Foe The players of the ARR after having trained the previous day; were now on the road in the team bus they had chartered, heading to face Zoran for their first match in Overthinkers. The mood onboard wasn't too tense, in fact it was pretty relaxed except for Tivarra who sat with a checklist on the back on the bus, as the bus was followed on the sidewalk by around 100 ryxtylopian fans, with some passing by in cars or taxis, waving flags, being loud and lighting up blue and yellow colored smoke flares. As the bus pulls at the stadium the crowds continue cheering on, whilst from inside Tivarra continues checking the list hurridly preparing for the match, viewing and re-viewing the list, before as the bus parks getting up. [Tivarra]: Alright, we know how they play, we know they're good, so please we have to win, we dont want to start our campaign in the wrong foot like they did with theirs. The players start getting off the bus, heading for the changing room, where Tivarra makes an small brief speech to the players: [Tivarra]: They'll probably try to give us their best game, i dont think this is from them seeking revenge, but rather from having to prove Zoran is still a rugby powerhouse, which as we all know they are. [Tivarra]: They're an agressive team, but i do expect them to start pulling back considering we are also a decent team, they newcomers gave them a surprise and they need to bounce back, we need to secure our first win, im good with a loss, but i still expect you to give your best. [Tivarra]: As for our strategy, im contempt with keeping pressure at whatever pace you can, no need to be quick, we'll seek the try(s) whenever we can. If they're too strong pull back, and seek other ways to push. [Tivarra]: This is the first time i intend for us to be agressive but, not too much, i hope you all understand what im trying to get at here, i already explained it at the hotel, and you should all know your duties. The room goes quiet, as players nod in acknowledgement. [Tivarra]: We're almost the same Ryxtylopia from a year ago, but you all know we're prepared, we cannot dissapoint as the surprise from last year and we wont, we intend to win, and keep outperforming ourselves. [Tivarra]: So... everyone TELL ME ARE WE READY? At this point the room bursts into unison chanting. YES WE ARE. [Tivarra]: THEN LETS TAKE ON THIS RUGBY WORLD CUP WITH THE FLARE AND PASSION WE'RE KNOWN FOR, WE CAN BE CHAMPIONS AND WE'LL WIN, ADILENTÍ RYXTYLOIPIA!!!!!!!! And so the room bursts into one final "Adielentí Ryxtylopia!" before the players head to the pitch to take their spots, ready for the match against Zoran, even if it went badly they still wanted to make a good impression. Whilst Tivarra also went out to watch, and take notes on how to keep improving this already fast-growing team, as there's still a lot of potential that could be unlocked... right? Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia
Ryxtylopia vs Zoran - The highlights. The transmission would start right before the match, after many ads, with both teams entering the pitch, and lining up; Soon the national anthems of Ryxtylopia would play, and after that the Zoranian anthem plays, with both teams shaking hands and taking up their spots on the field. For this match, famous rugby comentator in Ryxtylopia: Pablo Virriscayda would be comentating. The game would soon get underway. "And, it seems the Zoranians won the toss... This looks like it'll be a very intense match ladies and gentlemen, for Ryxtylopia to open our RWC campaign..." The zoranians opted to start the game by kicking off, and after some short preparation the game begins: KICK OFF: The first few minutes prove uneventful with Zoran starting off slow, but Ryxtylopia also failing to find opportunities to make it to the zoranian side of the pitch, until the zoranians got a chance. "And the game has commenced! Ladies and gentlemen, RYXTYLOPIA VS ZORAN, now live from Overthinkers in the 5th edition of the Rugby world cup, come on Ryxtylopia!" 16 Minutes in... (0-0) The Zoranians find their first chance in the 16th minute, as good passes between hooker: Attakullakulla Quegadu and Tighthead prop Salonitah Gelusva lead them to the ryxtylopian defense, leading them to nearly scoring, but after receiving a pass from Salonitah, Attakullakulla would get tackled by Outside Centre Rinaco Patochá, with Ryxtylpia soon regaining possetion and salvaging the situation keeping the score level. "Zoran, here with the ball, its uhh... Salo...ni...tah Gelusva going in, pass to Atta...kulla...kulla Quegadu; zoranian hooker, oh god they're within reach, PASS... NO WAIT, AND... THEY GET TACKLED! Ladies and gentlemen the zoranians were so close! But Rinaco Patochá saves us from conceding the first points." 25 Minutes in... (0-0) The next big chance of the game again came from the zoranians, after bad passes from Ryxtylopia's locks and a ruck which the zoranians faired better in, once again it was Salonitah Gelusva who had the ball in the Ryxtylopian side, but after being surrounded by Patochá and Left wing Marco Va'atí, Salonitah would get tackled, with Attakullakulla sweeping in before passing back to Twah'kohi Agasgani who attempts a drop goal, the ball bearly falling short from the post. "Its Salonitah, with possetion, he's pushing forward, but he's going to get tackles by Patochá, looses possetion, wait- ATTAKULLA-KULLA IN, BACK TO TWAH'KOHI- DROP AND OHHHHHH... Oh my! Just short from the points! Amaizing play, but the reult didn't work out! This match remains 0-0!" 31 Minutes in... (0-0) After playing semi-cautiously for the first 30-ish minutes of the game, Ryxtylopia was finally able to build up a decent chance at scoring points, Nº4 Lock and Captain: Riberto Huilchica passing to Guivina Divarra who was behind him, she would carry the ball forwards before getting tackled by zoranian fly-half Gulkalaski Lemomequa, resulting in a ruck which favored Ryxtylopia as Mirta Palmiras would regain possetion for the Pirates, before passing to Guilbirto who nervously kicks and fails a drop goal, the ball passing a meter or so from the left post. "Ryxtylopia! Its Riberto, Riberto to Guivina, Guivina is in the zoranian's side, she moves forw- OH AND SHE DID NOT ANTICIPATE THE TACKLE, And its now- no wait we have a ruck, ive lost track of the ball, and its... PALMIRAS, PALMIRAS MOVES, PASS-BACK TO GUILBIRTO THIS IS OUR CHANCE- DROP SHOOT AND OOOHHHHHH NO! THE BALL HAS PASSED SO CLOSE YET SO FAR! Ryxtylopia fails its first major chance, this game will remain tied!" 38 Minutes in... (0-3) With half time rapidly approaching the zoranians would come out of a maul with possetion with blindside-flanker: Degataga Dvagahi having the ball, after running fast enough to prevent being tackled by Rinaco Zicha, who falls short of his waist. Degataga would pass to Twah'kohi Agasgani who after running about 3 meters passes back to Ahuludegi Tsiguka who drops and shoots the ball, scoring the drop goal, sending most of the stadium into cheers, and finally breaking the deadlock before half time. "Its... Dega-taga... Dvag- wait OH RINACO! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO DO, RINACO HAS SLIPPED! Degataga to Twah'kohi! The distance isn't long, its to Ahulude-gi, attention... AhuluDEEEEEEEEEEEEGIIIIIIIII!! Zoran has Scored! This match is now 0-3 in favor of the Sun Hawks!" HALF-TIME (0-3) No other major opportunities to score were born out of the remaining minute and half in the game, and both teams went to shake off the sweat and re-organize. "And that's the whistle. Ladies and gentlemen we have reached the 40-minute mark, its Nil-Three to the Sun Hawks, the Pirates must start to play more agressivley if they want to head out with a win!" 56 Minutes in... (0-3) A chance for Ryxtylopia opened when after a ruck, Looshead Prop: Pailo Darrias would pass to Huilchica, who attempts a drop goal, who fails another drop-goal for the Pirates. "Its Darrias, Darrias to Huilchica... SHOOTS! AND... ITS MILES OFF! ITS MILES OFF! THAT BALL MIGHT HAVE ALREADY TRAVELLED ALL THE WAY TO SEKIYA WITH THE WAY YOU KICKED! This means the score remains in favor of Zoran! 63 Minutes in... (5-3) Finally after what seemed like an eternity, after a maul where the zoranians came up with the upper hand, after crossing into the ryxtylopian side of the field, zoranian loosehead-prop: Amo-Adawehi Tsasima would be tackled, and a series of passes lead the ball to ryxtylopian openside-flanker: Marco Xilta, who speedily carries the ball through a hole in the zoranian front, entering the zoranian side of the field before passing to Divarra just as he ran into the zoranian backline, Divarra carried the ball forward before passing to guilbirto a meter behind her, as guilbirto bearly passed around zoranian fullback: Kali Gasohi, landing the try to loud cheers from the ryxtylopian side of the crowd. However in the following conversion Palmiras missed. "Its Tsasima... no wait now its- uh er- That was some fast passing... Its Xilta, Xilta moving up, Xilta going forward, HE'S IN ZORAN'S BACK YARD! Xilta is running ladies and ge- no, wait Xilta to Divarra, Divarra- Guilbirto, and its GUILBIRTOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!! RYXTYLOPIA SCOOOOOOOOOOORES!! A wonderful try by GUIL-BIR-TO!" "Right, it will be Palmiras for the conversion, AND SHE'S- missed... The score remains 5-3!" 70 Minutes in... (12-3) With the end 10 minutes away, after some cautious play on the back, the ball would be for Ryxtylopia's Number-8: Quista Farris, who would dodge some zoranians before reaching the defense and passing to Huilchica who after spotting a gap between Wohali Goyadv and Oconostota Dlanegvotli would run in, bearly missing Goyadv and landing the try, with the conversion this time being landed by Darrias. "Farris, Farris to Huilchica he's hit the road, its HUILCHICA, HUILCHICA FOLLOWING THE ROAD, HE'S A CAR THAT WONT STOP, AND- SCORE! RYXTYLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOPIA HAS SCORED! Its now 12-3 in favor of the Pirate! The Zoranians keep pushing into the back, but they leave holes making paths for the counter attack! Zoran needs to seek a miracle if they want to tie!" 77 Minutes in... (12-8) After a poor attempt at attacking goes bad for Guilbirto, he would commit a knock-on with the zoranians being awarded a scrum about 3/4 of the field in their side, the zoranians wouldn't take too long to regain possetion from the scrum, with Mohe Yvokala acheiving possetion for the sun hawks, before moving up to pass it to Dvagahi who carries it past the half of the pitch before being tackled by Ferrán Lisquerva, luckily for the zoranians their number 8 Sesdi Tsunela was nearby to regain possetion, moving up then passing to Ahuludegi Tsiguka who then moves up to pass to Attakullakulla , blindsiding the ryxtylopian backline and achieving a try, with Salonitah very unluckily hitting the post and failing the conversion, the zoranians moving up on the scoreboard, but with only 3 minutes remaining this basically marked the end of the match. "Guilbirto, OH, that's a knock on, that is a knock on... And its ZORAN! ZORAN with the ball now, Mohe Y-vokala? I need to practice their name pronountiation... Mohe to Dva-gahi... Dva-gahi is moving forward, and meets Ferrán! But wait Sesdi recovers for Zoran! and its now Ahulu-degi... now to Attakulla-kulla they're through! and SCORE! Zoran has scored a try!" "Its Salonitah to convert for the zoranians annnd... POST! That didn't go in Ladies and Gentlemen! Its Ryxtylopia: 12! Zoran: 8!" FULL-TIME (12-8) Not much else happened in the remaining minutes, this handed over the victory to the Pirates after an intense and hard-fought match. "Annnnd... TIME'S UP! RYXTYLOOOOOPIA HAS WON THE GAME! Ryxtylopia has achieved another victory over the Zoranians, ever since the glory achieved in Dalimbar! This is it, the full 80 minutes are up!" "This was an intense match, we saw a lot of passing, rucks, failed drop goals on our side and an equal ammount of wasted chances on the zoranian side, both teams have showed their skill in play, both in attacking and defending, but it seems RYX-TY-LO-PIA! Took the win! This concludes our first day of participating in RWC5. And we thank the organizers of the tournament for allowing us to transmit this signal for you the viewers to watch, only the best quality at TVNC, the official broadcaster for the Ryxtylopian Rugby Association." "But that will be all for today, thanks for watching, and we hope for you to tune in soon, for RYXTYLOPIA AGAINST SAINT MARK! Have a good day." The Transmission ends. Clarkov
James May: Hello, viewers. You join us here at Lake Stour, or Leik Stue in Anglian, or Ezero Ste in Jammbonian, or Staue Lin in Hertmerian, or ... [Hertfordian Sign Language -> Translation: Lake Stour in Hertfordian Sign Language], or- Jeremy Clarkson: James, we don't have time for the name of this lake in all languages in the world. James May: Philistine. Richard Hammond: Anyway, we're here because we are preparing for a race. Jeremy Clarkson: That's right. We are preparing to go see and participate as part of The Youkai in the 5th Rugby World Cup which is being held in Overthinkers, a land that James loves very much. James May: He's right, it may just be my favourite nation in the world. Their organisation and sensibleness is impeccable. Richard Hammond: It's the closest nation to Hertfordshire-Jammbo even if it doesn't border it, which should mean an easy trip in theory, but there's a problem. Jeremy Clarkson: You see, the main road connection between the two is the Barrett-Maxwell International Highway, well that's what they call it, we here call it the Magyacwel Motorway. It's 450 miles at least. James May: The c in that is pronounced like an s. Jeremy Clarkson: ...Anyway, the Magyacwel Motorway is also known by a nickname of the Motorway of Death. Richard Hammond: From what we can gather, Hertfordshire-Jammbo and Overthinkers drive on opposite sides of the road. Here to explain what that means, is me on this howitzer. Now this is really quite simple. Overthinkers seems to drive on the right, so they in their cars go straight on, swerve to avoid a tractor, then crash into a tree or river and die. Hertfordshire-Jammbo drives on the left, so they drive down the same bit of road, see an Overthinkan in their car, but they plough straight on in a tractor, flip over the car and die. Now, our road system is best because you don't know what's going to kill you. Jeremy Clarkson: Very good, thank you Hammond. Richard Hammond: You're welcome, and now you've got to head somewhere I'm guessing by your pose that looks like you're about to do the only bit of exercise you'll do on this trip? Jeremy Clarkson: Yes I have, don't worry it's very important. Richard Hammond: Off you go then. [Clarkson leaves to get something very important.] James May: Back to the task at hand, we couldn't agree on whether to avoid the Magyacwel Motorway or not, so we decided to have a race to settle it. Here's what I'm using, it's a hovervan, and it is the Anglianest of all the Anglian seafaring vehicles. Well, apart from the pirate ships we get across our shores. Richard Hammond: And I shall be attempting to beat him in this, it's a R-34 Magyariv, an armoured heavy cruiser howitzer. It weighs 37 tons, can go 32m/h and will pretty much crush anything in its way. It also has a range of 155 miles and a 77mm high velocity gun, for if any moving obstacles block my path. Like, for instance, a bureaucrat. Speaking of which... [Bureaucracy Stig walks to the duo, still with a tie from the business meeting they had finished.] James May: While I'm going through the Chelmer, the main capital Parndeben and the Medway to the sea, and while Hammond is desecrating the Andolian landscape in his tank, the Stig's Bureaucrat Cousin here will be taking a coach driven by the Stig which will take him along the Magyacwel Motorway to Cangham which is where The Youkai will be engaged in battle in Group A. So are you ready? Richard Hammond: Yes! James May: Ready? Bureaucracy Stig: ... [Bureaucracy Stig is too distracted by some files to hear James.] James May: ...Let's go. Richard Hammond: Excellent. [Clarkson arrives back with an unexpected someone with him.] Jeremy Clarkson: Ah! Hang on, hang ooooon! There is a fourth way. Clarkov Furutani: There's a fifth too. Richard Hammond: Oh god. James May: Don't tell me, a jet-pack? Jeremy Clarkson: No. Richard Hammond: A snow cloud? Clarkov Furutani: What do you take me for, strange? [Hammond and May takes side glances at each other.] Richard Hammond: A plasma-powered horse? Clarkov Furutani: No. Jeremy Clarkson: No, I've got a tractor. This one, it's the JCB Fastrak and this is a tractor that the army use! Richard Hammond: Oh, the army. Well known all over the world as... farmers. James May: I bet some of them are once in a while. Jeremy Clarkson: This has an 8.3l turbo-charged engine, unlike any other tractor. Top speed's unlimited. [Furu bursts into slight laughter.] Richard Hammond: No... no listen, if we want to get to Overthinkers without becoming un-alived or caught up in endless red tape, we need to get there well, not quickly. [Hammond gestures at his howitzer.] Clarkov Furutani: Coming from you, Hammond? Richard Hammond: Alright then crip, what have you got? Clarkov Furutani: A tank, like you, though this Type-17 Sata-Andagi can go in the water. Probably unrelated to that one girl in the team who casually says 'sata andagi' whenever she's holding a sweet food item. Due to my narcolepsy I can't drive without the risk of falling asleep, plus I'm 15. So my mum, Galatea, is driving. Galatea Furutani: That Magyariv's a howitzer, Clarkov. Clarkov Furutani: Oh yeah... James May: Ah, hello there, you must be Galatea. Galatea Furutani: Hello, yeah that's me. I'm here because Clarkov can't function on their own anywhere they don't know. I used to be in the Sensha-do team at Clarkov's school Yamaku Academy, so I know how to drive tanks. I work there as a mental health staff manager now. Richard Hammond: Isn't that that one school for the disabled? Clarkov Furutani: Yeah, though you don't have to be disabled to attend. Richard Hammond: Ah, okay, back to your tank Furu, the what? Clarkov Furutani: A lot of tanks that were used in the Hertfordian War went on to be acquired by schools to be used in a varied sport revolving around them. No, it's not fatal. That's where we got this Sata-Andagi from. Richard Hammond: I thought about using that, but settled on the Magyariv because this only does what, 21m/h on land and 11m/h in water. Clarkov Furutani: I don't think it matters. I imagine there's more than a few swamps for you to inevitably crash into. Richard Hammond: Yes... ha ha. Jeremy Clarkson: ...Hammond? Richard Hammond: Yeah? Jeremy Clarkson: Did you just call Furu a cripple? Richard Hammond: What? They told me it's fine. [Clarkson and May turn to Furu, who nods to confirm that they're fine with it.] Jeremy Clarkson: Hm, fair enough. Bureaucracy Stig: ... [Bureaucracy Stig points at the watch to gesture that it's time to go.] James May: Good point, Bureaucracy Stig, we'd better start. Now to figure out how to start this hovervan. Galatea Furutani: No pre-flight checks this time, James? James May: We're already behind thanks to bureaucracy. I'd rather not waste any more time. Jeremy Clarkson: James in a hurry. Never thought I'd see the day. Richard Hammond: Uh, Furu? We're starting now. Clarkov Furutani: Huh? Coming. [Clarkson and Hammond begin the race.] James May: Why is Bureaucracy Stig just standing there? [Furu shrugs, May and Furu - who was distracted by some dandelions - begin the race.] Bureaucracy Stig: ... [Bureaucracy Stig finally finishes with their MP4-12C document or whatever and begins the race.] The JCB Fastrak of Clarkson, the R-34 Magyariv of Hammond, the Hovervan of May, the Coach of Bureaucracy Stig and the Type 17 Sata-Andagi of Furu. Bran Astor
O Queen of the Dawn by Karl Kallaste O Queen of the Dawn, with eyes the color of hope, Hear the drums of triumph, a weary warrior's scope. This land breathes free, its chains lie shattered and rust, We bathed the fields red and the tyrant's grip turned to dust. Long were the nights, companion to our creeping despair, Hunger gnawed, battles raged, etched on each face a prayer. Brothers fell 'neath the sun, their whispers on the cold breeze, But freedom's fire, my Queen, held us from bending knees. We are your spears, the answer to every plea, From the babe in the cradle, the sailor bent by the sea. We bled for their future, a tapestry woven with pain, But a song of defiance, a chorus that washed away the stain. Now, victory's light paints the clouds in hues of delight, The people, they rise, their faces turned to the bright. They sing of our courage, etch legends in every town, We, the nameless, the faceless, heroes with freedom's crown. My Queen, your name a solace, a whisper on parched lips, Your image, a beacon through battles, on banners and ships. This land, it is yours, a gift so dearly won, And though my strength wanes, my joyful journey just begun. (His voice falters, a final breath escapes his lips) Hold fast to the dawn, my Queen, where the future never clips… (His hand reaches out, a faint smile) …Love, and freedom… forever on our lips. Peourouin
Tuned to local news in Ukecan 乌克灿, HDMGNMN (previously recorded) Anchor 1: Good evening, it is 20 hours on Wednesday the 25 of June. We will start off the hour with our ‘News in 2:00.” Earlier in the day, Peourouin played Einherfell in the Rugby World Cup V held in Overthinkers scoring a 26 point difference, allowing Peourouin to win in a landslide match. The team, only debuting last Rugby Cup, has shown its athleticism in this marvelous feat of achievement. Anchor 2: If you were hoping to drive on the new expressway into the Tuxi suburbs, you are out of luck. Anchor 1: Indeed. City officials stated in an email to NMN 13 that there were several inspections that were not cleared which uncovered a gas line malfunction on a key section of a bridge prompting a delay in the opening of the roadway until further notice. This vital route would decrease travel time by over 30 minutes. Anchor 2: The homeless shelter in the Repulse District has been evacuated in an abundance of caution after an emergency call informed dispatchers of crumbling façade that damaged cars parked on the road. Anchor 1: While the building is being inspected for further investigation, churches and open, public spaces are being set up as temporary refuge for those affected by the evacuation. Anchor 2: The Golong Institute of Sciences has completed a study on how the Oopang Valley has been effected from the double damming resulting in the Heng Resevoir and Taopaolangga Lake. The data collected over the past 40 years shows an interesting trend in the biological changes. Anchor 1: Scientists at the Institute were wary of the various rules and regulations that dictated fertilizer and agricultural runoff seasons. However, they concluded that the levels of contamination from old, more toxic substances in old fertilizers was too low to detect within their range of definition. That about wraps up the headlines, now to our Weather Center with Terek Choi for a look at our forecast… United Adaikes, Dalimbar, Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia and 2 others
Teralyon
On the largest island Thraproy, off the coast of the continental United Adaikes, In the Perthdoches district, lies a Forward Operating Base where militaries from the Mille-Mer work together for the safety and security of the entire region. This base is called Joint Base Echevarría, a fairly decent sized Airbase although the full size is unknown as nothing but the runways, a couple smaller air strips, surface level building and hangers can be seen yet it seems to house more personnel then there's space for and has a full detachment of Teralyon TRL-707’s and UA FA50’s on stand-by at all times. Rivalries form easily here, but so do friendships, during the recent rugby match both the Teralyon pilots and the United Adaikes pilots made several boasts and cheered fiercely for their respective teams. Two pilots, Rowan “Hoover” Sherman, an United Adaikes FA50 pilot and Zelko "Mullet" Lirovic, an TRL-707 pilot had intended to join the rest of their respective comrades and the others foreign pilots that decided to watch the chaos in the mess hall and watch the game but they drew the unlucky straw of patrolling the southern coast that night. Finally after landing the two had a chance to watch the game, there were cheers and boos from both sides and finally after it was over the two friends had a chat about what they just experienced.. Hoover: (Laughing) I still can’t believe it, Mullet! How did Teralyon manage to beat us in rugby?! It's like seeing a bumblebee outmanoeuvre a hawk! Mullet: (Grinning) Oh, come on, Hoover! You know we're full of surprises. Maybe our secret weapon was a diet of extra gyros before the match. Hoover: (Chuckling) Extra gyros? I thought they’d slow you guys down! But seriously, you guys played like you had rocket boosters strapped to your cleats. Mullet: (Shrugging) Maybe we did! Or perhaps your team was too busy thinking about all the victory celebrations they’d have. I saw the bets and the prize pool, overconfidence, my friend. Hoover: (Laughing) Please… You got lucky and you know it, we were even winning near the end too! We were so sure we’d win. I see my Cap even ordered champagne for the flight back. Now it's just sitting there, unopened. Such a waste. Mullet: (Laughing) Sounds like our team should have taken that champagne. We could have used it to celebrate our victory properly. I guess your FA50s aren’t the only things that can be overconfident, huh? Hoover: (Grinning) Hey now, let’s not start comparing jets and rugby teams. But seriously, and begrudgingly, congrats. You guys played well. Next time, though, we'll be ready. Mullet: (Nodding) I’ll be looking forward to it. Until then, maybe you should practise your rugby skills. Who knows, maybe we’ll have a pilots’ match next. Hoover: (Laughing) You’re on, Mullet. But don’t blame me if my jet instincts kick in and I accidentally tackle you mid-air! Mullet: (Smirking) Bring it on, Hoover. Just remember, in rugby or in the skies, it’s all about strategy, a little bit of luck, and a lot of balls! Hoover: (Smiling) Well, here’s to strategy, luck, balls and a rematch. And maybe a few less gyros on your side next time. Mullet: (Winking) No promises, Hoover. No promises. The two pilots laughed while staring at the unopened champagne bottle, both contemplating the consequences of opening it. United Adaikes
March 6, 1424 8:37 PM Polaris Eastern Time (IAT-2) Laguna Bay University Grand Hall, Port Endshe, Ludsport Ludsport University Athletic Association Rugby Season Awards “The Best Player of the Conference is a hooker,” Ludsport University Athletic Association Rugby Overseer Deanne Abbott started. There was a brief silence when Abbott said that. But when she looked at the crowd and returned to her cue cards, some of the crowd thought about the unintended pun and laughed until a sea of laughs erupted around the Grand Hall. “Not what I meant,” Abbott said in between her laughs when the thought also came to her mind. “Ladies and gentlemen,” Abbott continued, “the Best Player of the Conference is from Oakleaf University-” Before Abbott could end, everyone around Mallory Dale roared, clapped, and hugged her. Dale hasn't had the chance to hear the Rugby Overseer say her name. March 31, 1424 11:33 AM Polaris Eastern Time (IAT-2) Elite Rugby Management Executive Hall, Steskia, Thraproy Dale and co-national team player Kaelea Kimberly of Spring Hill University, along with their parents and lawyers, met with top officials of the sports management firm. They had just seen a video package made by Elite Rugby introducing the two college senior players as the new additions to the professional rugby players the firm has been representing. Dale's Oakleaf University and Kimberly's Spring Hill University are top seeds in the UAAUA Rugby Tournament. "We assure you, Mr. Kimberly, Mr. Dale," Garnet Bernard, the President of Elite Rugby Management, said, addressing the two fathers in the room, that while we will extensively promote your daughters starting tomorrow, once we've signed these contracts, we won't be receiving profit from the promotion of your daughters until their last match for their universities. “From tomorrow up until early August, the College Rugby Kings Tournament championship, your daughters will be receiving all the profits from everything we do for them until the last day they will play for their school,” Bernard clarified. “After that, we will make sure that one of the ten teams from the Adaikes Rugby will employ your daughter to play for them professionally,” he added. Everyone agreed after their lawyers provided legal advice to players and families. Mallory Dale and Kaelea Kimberly will be professional rugby players after they play their last match for their university. It is the first time the Oracles will play in the Tournament Championship since Oakland University accepted Dale to the university. After shaking the hands of every player from Palm Valley University she could see, she went to the Iron Bulls Coach, who is also the National Team Coach, Coach Ferne Huxtable. They hugged when they saw each other. Dale felt tears running out of her eyes from every praise Coach Huxtable said. “Is it okay if you can’t play in the Rugby Kings Tournament this June?” Huxtable asked. Dale was confused. “I’m calling you up for the national team again when we play in Overthinkers in the same month,” Huxtable offered while Dale was nodding, on the verge of crying again. “You’ve been excellent this year,” Huxtable added, patting Dale's head and hugging her again. May 12, 1424 9:10 PM Polaris Eastern Team (IAT-2) National Rugby Stadium, Steskia, Thraproy UAAUA Rugby Tournament Championship The 100th UAAUA Rugby Tournament Oakleaf Oracles - 14 Spring Hill Blitz - 10 “It’s the end of the rivalry of the two best college rugby players in the United Adaikes,” the commentator in the televised championship said. “The best defender who can also score, Mallory Dale, and the best scorer of today’s college rugby, Kaelea Kimberly, two promising rugby players who will take United Adaikes to greater heights in international rugby,” he added, as the screen shows the two players hugging out, crying. “These two seniors will be graduating from their universities with their heads held up high, leaving behind a legacy and glory to their respective universities, while they embark on the next part of their rugby careers, the professional competition,” his partner remarked. Dale was also awarded the Tournament MVP for her excellent display in the UAAUA Rugby Tournament. May 25, 1424 4:53 PM Polaris Eastern Time (IAT-2) National Rugby Team Headquarters, Steskia, Thraproy Office of the Head Coach Coach Huxtable heard two knocks coming from her main door. “You wanted to see me, Coach?” Dale spoke when she entered Coach Huxtable’s office. “After knowing you just arrived, thank you,” Huxtable replied. After ushering Dale to the left seat in front of her table, Huxtable asked, "Have you had the chance to check the rooms of the others when you arrived?" Dale shook her head and pouted, "When Georgetta [Baldwin, the security guard at the entrance of the headquarters] saw me, she said that I need to go directly here to your office once I leave my things in my room." Huxtable nodded throughout her statement. “You will be starting in Overthinkers,” Huxtable blurted. While Dale was grateful, she thought of Peregrine Norman, the starter at Hook from the two previous World Cups, and Gwyneth Zapatero, Norman’s substitute in the national team. “Peregrine is retiring from international competition,” Huxtable continued, seemingly reading Dale’s mind, “and Gwyneth is retiring from playing competitive rugby.” “Gwyneth also wanted to take up coaching,” Huxtable added, “but as to which level, UAAUA, club, or international, she hasn’t decided yet.” Dale has been with the national team since the 3rd edition in Zoran, but she has yet to suit up. She has always been in the team’s formals and sitting behind the bench during the last two World Cups. "I'll bring my A-game in Overthinkers, Coach." Dale stood up, extending her hand gleaming. "I won't let you down," she added. “I know,” Coach Huxtable replied, shook Dale’s hand, and ushered her away from her office, smiling. June 23, 1424* 10:01 PM Over Time (IAT+2) At the rooftop of the United Adaikes rugby team headquarters One of the hotels in Hestmere, Overthinkers *IC date of the 3rd match of the 2nd match day “I know you’ll be here,” Dale looked toward where the voice came from. Kimberly was gasping for air when she arrived at the rooftop, while Dale returned to watching the city nightlights. “Myrtie [Huddleston, Dale’s agent from Elite Rugby] has been calling you,” Kimberly said, in between inhaling and exhaling. Dale took her phone, which was face-down since she arrived at the rooftop. She saw 17 missed calls from Huddleston. “Thanks,” Dale said through gritted teeth. Kimberly thought she was still upset. “I’ll tell her I’ve already told you about the missed calls,” she replied, looking at the fantastic Hestmere nightlights. “Thanks,” Dale repeated, still through gritted teeth. Kimberly hesitated before sighing, taking her phone, and returning the call to Huddleston. “You can now call her,” Dale heard from Kimberly before the door closed. Only a few seconds went by when Dale’s phone rang. “Thank goodness you finally answered,” Huddleston said when Dale picked up the call. “What is it, Myrtie?” Dale asked. “I understand your emotions completely,” Huddleston replied, “especially if you lost by a close one from Teralyon.” Dale sighed. “Okay, that’s on me,” Huddleston tried to cheer Dale up, “I know it’s the internationals, but I want to hear it from you that you want to deal with this one after the World Cup.” “About what?” Dale did not care. “The Navy, the Marines, and the Coast Guard want you to play for them in the coming season,” Huddleston thought about letting the conversation play out but decided to cut to the chase instead. Dale sighed again. She does not want to think about it right now. “I’ll think about it when we get a win here in Overthinkers or when I return to Steskia, whichever comes first,” Dale ended the call hurriedly. She returned to watching the city nightlights. Nouveau, Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia, Arifiyyah and 1 other

Min-Su
By Yusuke Sato ASAHI, MINSU - The sacred icon of Fujimo-no-Mikoto, the revered deity of death, is set to conclude its three-day benediction ritual at Toyoda Grand Shrine in the Empire of Minsu. The final ceremonies are scheduled to end at 3 AM Minsu Standard Time (MST), marking the culmination of a deeply spiritual and momentous event for Gaoist faithful. As the final hours of the ritual approach, thousands of Gaoist adherents have gathered at Toyoda Grand Shrine to partake in the closing ceremonies. The shrine grounds are illuminated by lanterns, creating a serene and reverent atmosphere. Pilgrims from all corners of Minsu and even from Giovanniland have come to witness this significant event, demonstrating the profound connection and shared faith between the two regions. In the early hours of the morning, the Principal Paragon of the Kannushi will deliver the final sermons and preachings to the gathered faithful. The sermons will draw from the sacred Zenith Scroll, focusing on themes of life, death, and the eternal guidance of the Gao. The Principal Paragon's words are expected to inspire and comfort the faithful, reinforcing their spiritual commitment and reverence for Fujimo-no-Mikoto. The closing ceremonies will include traditional kagura dances performed by shrine maidens, symbolizing the harmonious relationship between humans and kami. These dances will be followed by a grand purification rite, involving the sprinkling of sacred water and the burning of incense to cleanse and bless the participants and the shrine itself. As the ritual draws to a close, a formal turnover ceremony will take place. The Principal Paragon, along with other high-ranking members of the Kannushi, will present the icon of Fujimo-no-Mikoto to the Giovannese priests from Ukeda Shrine. This ceremony symbolizes the unity and mutual respect between the Gaoist communities of Minsu and Giovanniland. Following the turnover, the icon will begin its journey back to Giovanniland. It will pass through several cities, including Aquaviola, where additional ceremonies and public veneration events are planned. This sacred tour allows more Gaoist adherents to pay their respects and receive blessings from Fujimo-no-Mikoto. The icon's eventual return to Ukeda Shrine in Karlopole will be marked by a grand welcoming ceremony, celebrating the successful completion of its journey and the strengthening of spiritual ties between Minsu and Giovanniland. The benediction ritual and the icon's journey highlight the deep spiritual and cultural connections within the Gaoist faith. This event not only reinforces the shared beliefs and practices of Gaoist communities but also fosters a sense of global unity and spiritual solidarity. As the sacred icon of Fujimo-no-Mikoto departs from Minsu, the faithful look forward to the continued blessings and spiritual enrichment that this revered symbol brings, further deepening their connection with the divine and with each other. Zhiznovsk
Aurum, Overthinkers. The 25th of June, 2004 IAT+1 A dozen people sat around a table, dressed their best. The restaurant had the faint air of a certain opulence and ostentation which they had seldom seen back home, as waiters ferried wine bottles and chef specials to mahogany tables attended by the nouveau-riche. Many of those who had played that day sat there, although over half the team had elected not to join them, a decision Coach Ismaelev respected. Some worried as to how this expense would be justified to the people of Zhiznovsk, but Coach Ismaelev seemed rather calm about it, something which soothed the rest of the team. Petty conversation ebbed and flowed in their native tongue. "Now, we might be eating out, but you all'll still need to eat healthy, alright?" Misha joked, as light chuckling echoed around the table. An older woman, with short, brown hair responded: "You're one to say, Misha, some of these newbies don't know about that one time you-" "I speak from experience, Nata". It seems people were now chuckling more at him than with him, but chatter went on. " 'Shame Anya couldn't make it, she really outdid herself today..." A tan woman spoke up, black hair worn in a bun. "You see, that's the thing, she really did outdo herself today. I'm pretty sure she's still rolling over that ice like fish in a market" "Shut up, Gerya!" A young woman, evidently a reserve, said playfully, as Gerasim looked at her with a mildly mischievous look. "She really did outdo herself though Darya, did you see that free kick?" "Not me, no", said yet another older woman, far fairer than most others sat at the table. "You should've man, real beaut that shit was." The chatter continued, as the busy restaurant hummed on around them, their loud conversation not too out of place, save for the language difference. Soon enough, a waiter came around to the table, looking for their orders. Coach Ismaelov finally spoke up, ordering in an English that wore his accent on its sleeve, specifically requesting the team not be served the requisite course of wine. The rest followed, as conversation resumed. "No wine, coach?" A younger reserve questioned, half-jokingly. "You can gunk up your liver as much as you damn well please once we're done, Nika." "Chill, chill, I was joking bossman!" "Better hope you were, boy... " It seemed the interaction brought down the energy of the table some. "...But if you must know, there's a bottle of champagne waiting somewhere here if we win this thing. Who knows, maybe I'll sabre it too if they'll let me" The waiter came around, handing the team various sparkling waters and non-alcoholic spritzers. One of them, a red-haired young woman busted out her best Overthinkers accent as she thanked the waiter in her ersatz approximation of the native language, as some of the people seated next to her shot her a glare. The waiter chuckled, noticing. "It's no problem ma'am, I'd say you actually did pretty well" Chuckles broke out around, as "Well done, Azya"s and "You did it, Azya"s flew around the table. It was then, that Coach Ismaelev began to tap on his flute, as everyone else fell silent, after a fit of hushing and commands. "Thank you. Now, I know we've been chit-chatting a lot around this table, but the reason we're all gathered here is because y'all managed to secure your first win toda-" He was interrupted by cheering and hollering across the table. "Yes, as I was saying, first win. We might not have started this tournament off on the best of footing, but y'all need to keep this streak going. Fujai's likely going to be a difficult nut to crack, but I think y'all have it in you. God knows we Zhiznovskians know how to win against overwhelming odds. Enjoy yourselves for now, tomorrow we'll be analysing their previous games, see what makes them tick, and y'all'll be running a couple more drills than you're typically used to. Might seem a bit excessive, but there's a benefit to being the new kids on the block- They don't have nearly as much to go off of for us, as we do for them." The rest of the team nodded, murmuring, indicating various forms of agreement. "Now, I'll leave you all to whatever it was I interrupted. Enjoy yourselves folks, it's gonna be a hard, hard day tomorrow. Бон кураж." Enthusiastic sentiment gushed out from the team, as even the more reserved of them joined in. The food slowly came out, as waiters served them three-at-a-time. The team dug in, some more ravenously than others, as a young, raven-haired lad twirled his fork, playing absentmindedly with his food. Slunk back in his chair, he wore a morose, listless expression. "Sunny, what's with the long face?" An older man, pale as a sheet, inquired. He initially got no response, but after a long pause, Sanya leaned back, sighing, and responded. "It's that goddamn first game Fyela..." He said. "You did alright dude, don't-" "I flubbed the fucking pass man, handed them the ball on a silver platter." "Sunny." It seems, Coach Ismaelev took notice, as he called out casually. "Like, I could've run forward with it, their left was wide-" "-Sunny!" "-open man, if it wasn't for me, maybe we'd still have had enough momentum to collapse midway through like tha-" "Sanya Sviatoslav." Sanya fell silent. "Calm down, Sunny. What good do you think this'll do? What's done's done, Sunny, that's why I brought you guys in here. We celebrate our wins and analyse our losses, but I won't let you sacrifice the future to salve over the memory of the past." He said calmly, his words punctuated by the clanging of cutlery against china. He puts a piece of steak in his mouth, chewing some, before continuing. "Look around you, Sunny, everyone sitting at this table has fucked up as badly as, or worse than, even, you have. Myself included." "Yeah, he's right on this one Sunny. One time, I stayed on the field when I really should've returned, I was way too dizzy to play, ended up kicking the ball into my own goal. Wasn't until that one time I scored a 70 yard that people stopped calling me selfie..." Avi said, still slightly embarrassed. "Yeah, there's also the time Misha-" "Nata, not again!" Everyone chuckled again, as the mood lightened slightly. "We all fuck up Sunny, it isn't the end of the world. If you wanna do something, show me your best these next two days, and kick those Fujai bastards' asses." Coach said, as the rest joined in a panoply of hell yeahs and woos. "I'll personally train pass drills with your depressed ass tomorrow Sunny, don't you worry" Feliks said, ribbing him some. "Thanks Fyela, 'ppreciate it." And the evening wore on, celebrations wound down, and the team retired to their respective hotel rooms as they awaited the twelve labours that lied ahead of them.
