Zhiznovsk
In the bars, dorm rooms, houses and waiting rooms of Zhiznovsk, its people fervently watched on, the evening news reporting on their devastating loss, trying their best to salvage what they could of their reputation, and drum up the last dregs of hope out of their people, so that they may, perhaps support what is now a new hope for the nation in these trying times. In particular, however, it played in an dacha, a very special dacha, one of few owned by the nobility which escaped revolutionary ire. Six people gathered around an old television set, dressed in their evening best. "Здравствуй, аужор мы зибралисья здесь..." An anchor stood behind a table, displaying the bright red, yet somehow drab network of one of many collective news networks. The Zhiznovskian Rugby Team, the Golden Eagles, were defeated twenty-to-nil today, by the Fujai Finokkirni, meaning Snowflakes, in a tense and exhausting game that lasted 90 minutes. We have on today, the team's Head Coach, Coach Rasul Ismaelev, and Tighthead Prop Anna Efraemevna, live to you from Overthinkers. Over to our reporter on the ground, tovar' Steffen Frenkel'. " "Thank you, Maria. Today, this packed stadium of nearly 50,000 witnessed a sore defeat for Zhiznovsk, with Fujai showcasing expectedly tight performance." The camera pans, as a figure moves into view, Coach Ismaelev, obviously tired from the proceedings of the day. Yet, he tried his very best to put on a veneer of composedness and calm. "So, coach, what do you make of this whole thing?" "I have to say, first off, that I'm still very proud of the boys and girls whom I've had the pleasure of working with. They showcased incredible performance, and went up against an RWC behemoth. Fujai has cut its teeth against some of the best in the world, time and time again, and truly earned the place where they are at right now. Put simply, I believe that they did well against overwhelming odds, and though they might have lost now, I believe that the experience they have gained here will only further allow them to beat our next opponent- Sekiya." "Coach, many have been challenging many of the appointments made to the team, stating that they believe superior players were left behind, some even going so far as to personally accuse you of bias. What do you have to say to that?" The coach looks visibly enraged, for a second "Well, I wholly encourage them to join me on the field and try this out for themselves before they go around criticising the rest of us." "We've got to find some way to spin this, Dasha." A man spoke up, at the head of the table, dressed in a black and gold suit. "Spin this? Spin this how?" Spoke another woman, flanking the first, dressed in a typical red dress. "The people of Zhiznovsk are losing hope in the Golden Eagles, we've got to find some way to coordinate on a media response to this fucking mess." The man gestures to the TV. "The more people lose hope, the less people tune into the news, the quicker this "high", this kaif decays. As the heads of the five major news collectives, surely you wouldn't want that now, would you?" Another man, dressed in red and black, spoke up, clearly mildly irked. "And what's in it for you? I assume you wouldn't risk breaking the law and the hearts of the people out of the kindness of your heart?" He speaks, with gritted teeth, his words flowing venomously. "I'm already on thin fucking ice with that incident with my son, this could mean the end of my goddamn job Fedya." The rooms falls silent for a while, before one of them, a man, clearly young, dressed in a mint green suit, pushes his chair out from the table. "I'm out." "You're fucking what?" "I'm out." The man gets up. "I'm not about to let you manipulate the media to save your fucking ego, or your fucking image Gorya." The rest look up at him, in astonishment. "Этонн?" He looks the rest of them up and down, in fervent disgust. "You ought to be fucking ashamed of yourselves, misleading the people like that. Don't you have any idea what we built this country on?" "That we built this country on, Arseniy. You spoiled brats have no right to steal our fucking valour." "And look where that valour got you." He sighs, turning. "I don't even know why I'm involving myself with this bullshit." He says, as he turns to leave. A metallic click echoes through the room, as the man turns around. "This here pistol killed the Petrov barons, Senya. It'd be a shame if it claimed another victim." The pistol, made of blackened steel and wood grips had clearly seen better days, the patina of well-use lay evidently clear over it as the light from the TV glinted off its body. He turns around, shocked, a deer in the headlights. The room watched on in horror. "You wouldn't fucking dare..." "Would I?" A single deafening report rang out across the otherwise empty room. The only person in that room apologising that day would be the young loosehead prop on the television screen. Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia
Halfway-Group Politics The players of the ARR were heading to the stadium for the game against Peourouin, most calmly chatting or reading stuff, Tivarra as usual on his lists, but amongst the many conversations one stood out more than the others, between two of the players that were going to play: Guilbirto Tivaña and Rinaco Patochá. [Tivaña]: So, yesterday i was reading the news and i saw that progress on Chacas new stadium is nearly complete, it should be finished in about 4 to 5 months, i haven't gone there but ive seen in images the exterior is mainly done, they're just doing all the interior stuff now. [Patochá]: That'll be something for Trichananco fans to be jealous of. [Tivaña]: Probably but something did catch my eye. [Patochá]: What was it? [Tivaña]: I can't recall the headline but it was along the line of "Politicians propose funding more rugby stadiums to improve the sport's quality" [Patochá]: Was it? [Tivaña]: Yeah, and i dont know how i feel about it. I mean it would be amaizing to see newer stadiums after all! [Patochá]: Dont know if that necessarily increases the quality of the sport... Also it sounds expensive... [Tivaña]: With the government pushing all sorts of ludicrous infrastructure proyects forward, everybody is trying to get their own agendas funded. [Patochá]: Wasn't that what caused the unrest during the football tournament? [Tivaña]: Well but there weren't any new stadiums for that tournament, they just renovated the older ones, which still proved expensive, and that caused people to be unhappy. During this Zincho Ampardia overhears their conversation from the back seat and joins in. [Ampardia]: What did you say about stadiums? [Tivaña]: Oh, we're talking about if the government builds new stadiums for rugby, since they think it will improve the quality of the sport back home. [Ampardia]: That's BS, we all know that wont increase the quality. [Tivaña]: Will it tho? [Ampardia]: No it wont, it might increase the comfort for spectators, but the sport itself will remain the same, Chacas and Trinchananco have the highest budgets and fanbases, unless that somehow changed we wouldn't get higher quality sport, it depends on the competitiveness, and those two teams have a sort of monopoly over our rugby. [Tivaña]: But the stadiums could be used for stuff other than rugby too. [Patochá]: I mean if that was the case, why not use the money on, like a school? [Tivaña]: Fair point. [Ampardia]: Look, if they go and build more stadiums its going to be a scandal, its okay when they are built and funded by the private sector, when it comes to the government building it, its a whole other story. [Patochá]: The plan seems already pretty advanced tho, we'll have to see what they propose and if they can even agree on something. [Tivaña]: I would be excited. [Ampardia]: Look, i would too, better stadiums are great, especially since half our professional rugby teams still play on pitches, not stadiums, but im sure a lot MORE people wouldn't appreciate it, just look at the football tournament, that happened when the government RENOVATED older stadiums, building new ones is more expensive. [Patochá]: Told you Tivaña. [Tivaña]: Maybe you two are right, guess ill have to wait and see what the reaction from the public and abroad is, oh look we've arrived. The three got up and out of the bus to prepare for the game. Saint Mark, Zoran, Giovanniland and 5 others
Nouveau
WARNING This news article contains profanity, bigotry against women/ethnic minorities/transgender individuals, and allusions to sexual violence Reader's Discretion Is Advised WARNING Organisation Nationale de Radio Publique Rugby Commissioner Billy Bixtel Accused of Betting On Games by Fmr Rugby Player 1/7/1424 | Morning News Vita Falx Spoiler Former Rugby Player Jacques Mesnard Jacques Mesnard accused Rugby Commissioner Stanwijk “Billy” Bixtel of betting on rugby games with insider knowledge. Mesnard, a former player for Club Rugby Pointe-d’Espoir and five-time champion, spoke on La Tasse du Matin to Valentin Laurier late last night. Mesnard accused Bixtel of using his unique position to bet on the outcomes of games. Mesnard said he has first hand evidence of collusion between Commissioner Bixtel and key stakeholders in the rugby clubs to bet on players and even games. “It’s hard to blame him, you know?” Mesnard said. “He knows its a money-tight league, everybody does. Hell, maybe the bets are to attract more viewers. It makes sense he’d even try to get a few marks off of it too, just for himself. But he’s the [expletive] Commissioner. Have some [expletive] class and bet from the sidelines, not in the bull-pen.” Commissioner du Rugby Professionale, Stanwijk "Billy" Bixtel This wouldn’t be the first scandal to potentially befall Bixtel. Bixtel was a defendant in a 1410 lawsuit which alleged he and other commissioners had strategically invested in real estate which would later be bought for the building of stadiums and sports venues. Bixtel was also investigated for using public funds for sex workers and a private limousine for his 1408 birthday which led to a major, though non-fatal, traffic accident. This is among many other accusations from his time as Commissioner for the League Futbol Collegium Nationale. Some put doubt on Jacques Mesnard’s claims, since has made many inflammatory remarks and provocative claims after his retirement from CRPE. He remarked in 1421 that if the women’s sports circuit were to grow, “they’d need more bikinis and more beer commercials.” He said of the Felix Hautlieu University Student Athletics Head Physician Aqur Astra, “I’d recommend any rectum having human being to not bend over when you’re in his office,” in 1422. Aqur Astra was the first person of Danav descent to hold the position in the university’s history. And in 1423, Mesnard stated, “If there weren’t so many boys lopping off their testicles, we’d have stronger men in society.” Whether or not the allegations will be taken seriously is up for debate, but anyone who would make a claim with that much confidence is either sure of the truth or secure enough to lie. Clarkov
Hanako I.: Hi, T-Tarrick. You seem like you need some rest. Do you want to read with me and Hisao? Tarrick J.: Thanks for the offer, but I'm alright. I'm actually feeling better than ever. Hanako I.: We've been waiting for you to say that. Nia H.: Yeah, great to have you back. Faust H.: Who is this Tarrick? Shizune H.: ... [Sign Language -> Translation: You don't know?] Hanako I.: Are you okay with us finding out? Tarrick J.: It' s okay. I did say I had a lot to tell you all. Faust H.: Alright. We're listening. Hisao N.: Before we start, I'd like to say that I'll take care of translating what you're saying to sign language, so Shizune knows what you're talking about. Tarrick J.: Thank you. ...Me and my wife Santaura were both drafted in as teenagers during the Anglian War. I was placed in charge of a local battalion defending my hometown, with Santaura one of many under my command. We managed to survive the war but were forced to abandon our home because the Jammbonian rebels became too much. Damian H.: My parents have told me stories of that war. Tarrick J.: The civil war ended in 1401 with the creation of the current Hertfordshire-Jammbo. But one particular area in the north-east still hadn't stopped fighting. Nagisa I.: A county in the north-east populated mainly by the Hertmerians. Tarrick J.: That's right. The Anglian War was a complete ethnic conflict. In 1407, Santaura and I had a child we named Amelia at 17. We ventured to our old house to see if there was anything that could help use raise our new daughter, but we were captured and imprisoned just as we were leaving. I tried to reason with our captors that we only wished to get supplies, but my pleas fell on deaf ears. Reimu H.: I would have just forced my way out if that's what it took. Tarrick J.: I had nothing on me to do that with. I don't know how long we spent as prisoners of war, but it was multiple weeks. At the very least our captors offered us what we needed to survive. Karaina C.: I can't stand it when people are falsely accused! It's happened to me every life since my first during the Anglian Witch Trials of the 900s. Hisao N.: Reincarnation? I'm not sure... Pax F.: Don't interrupt Tarrick's story. Please, continue. Tarrick J.: Thanks, Pax. At some point, an experiment went disastrously wrong, and it all started to come crashing down. Me and Santaura had no way to escape, but we were able to send Amelia through to a janitor who promised to raise her in the event we didn't make it. Then an explosion rang out. Shizune H.: ... [Sign Language -> Translation: Don't tell me...] Tarrick J.: Santaura was struck by a large piece of the ceiling. Before she slipped into unconsciousness, she asked me if our daughter had safely made it. I told her no one could have made it out alive despite the janitor's best efforts. My wife swore revenge on everyone involved in our capture... before slipping into a coma. Clarkov F.: One of those days... Tarrick J.: I wanted to keep living for them, and spent most of the time between 1407 and 1424 by Santaura's side. Trying to find any way to possibly restore her consciousness. No medical professional was able to do anything. But eventually I discovered the existence of an experimental medicine that had the potential to fulfil my wish. My child may have been gone, but I could still save my partner. Ayumu K.: Is that the same medicine that was just illegalised last month? The Nativitate? Tarrick J.: Yes. I retrieved my old military equipment including an armoured tank destroyer called the Yaagedpanzer, and set up base at the very prison me and my family had been kept in. I also fashioned a suit of armour, a sword and a shield reminiscent of the old Anglian knights that existed during the days of Greater Anglia. Hanako I.: The Knights of Anglia had a purple motif, r-right? Tarrick J.: That's right. I used that armour and tank to travel to anywhere I could find and forcefully took any Nativitate samples I could find. Throughout the years the people took to calling me the 'Void Knight'. Hanako I.: I heard people at my school before I went to Yamaku call you that. It was because your identity was seemingly null and void. Tarrick J.: Even during that long hunt for Nativitate, I starred as a rugby player and military instructor to make ends meet. In 1419, I was invited by the Tsar at the time, Charles of the Broxbourne house, to star in The Youkai for the first Rugby World Cup. I declined, I didn't want to leave Santaura's side even if she wasn't responsive. Clarkov F.: It's understandable. Pax F.: I wasn't around in the team then or in my original sport/game Beyblade due to injury, and there was no issue. I'm sure they would bear no ill will for you putting your family forefront. Tarrick J.: I heard Hertfordshire-Jammbo had won it shortly when my Yaagedpanzer was halted by a crowd of hundreds of thousands. They were all celebrating The Youkai performing one of Esferos' all-time sporting miracles. It got me thinking that maybe a miracle could befall me too. So I amped my efforts up. It seemed like I didn't care what I had to do, but I made sure that as few people as possible got caught up in my actions. I'll admit I did want revenge, but it's empty. It wasn't going to fix anything. Nia H.: I'm amazed you didn't lose faith in humanity at all. Tarrick J.: It's not something I could ever consider. Above all else, I can't even bear the thought of children coming to harm. I saw too many kids being slaughtered during the war in my teenage years. It also reminds me of my own child. No one should have to go through that. Pax F.: Agreed. Some people will never know what it's like to lose everything. Tarrick J.: In 1423, I was outed and arrested by a local scientist. But due to the reasoning behind it, I was allowed to go free. Reimu H.: In Hertfordshire-Jammbo, if there's a good-hearted reason and no attempt to intentionally bring harm to innocents, it's legal. There was a murder at Haidai Shrine and because it was in self-defence, the murderer was let off the hook. Tarrick J.: Soon after that, I finally gathered enough Nativitate to try and use it on Santaura. It worked. At least, it had worked half-way. Julian K.: Unwanted side effects? Tarrick J.: I don't know, but she woke with some kind of amnesia. The only thing she could remember were the moments just before she went comatose. At least, those were the only memories that returned. Santaura managed to find a way to total my Yaagedpanzer and would go on to commit more and more dangerous attacks on who she saw responsible for our daughter's death during our time in the prison. She couldn't care less who got hurt on the way, thankfully no one ever did. Pri F.: Were you intending anything if she woke? Tarrick J.: I wanted to leave the country, start a new life in Hestmere, Overthinkers. We would have taken the tank, but that went up in smoke. Santaura wouldn't stop to listen to reason, she just wanted to see the whole country burn. I soon decided she had to be brought back to sense and so I left to team up with and slowly gain the trust of a small group who had been battling my attempts to secure Nativitate since 1423. Just after I escaped a prison sentence. It wasn't long before my own wife dragged me back to my own base of operations that she had taken over, and attempted to use the same Nativitate I woke her with to force me to go along with her plans. Lain V.: If I recall correctly, Nativitate was found to contain compounds that produce a similar effect to a lobotomy. Tarrick J.: The same group I had fought and later allied with eventually discovered my base and broke in. I could never have imagined one of them would be my own daughter. Amelia had somehow survived the collapse of the Hertmerian prison me, Santaura and her had been locked up in back in 1407. The janitor I entrusted her too raised her as if he were her true father and I can't thank that man enough, nor can I thank my old friend Galatea for looking after Santaura when I was searching for a cure, even when she had her own issues, one of which involved her own disabled son Clarkov. Amelia told me that she had spent her whole life searching for her parents. She found us. Julian K.: Even if you think you've lost everything, you still have your family. Even if only the memory. It's a miracle your child survived. Tarrick J.: I mentioned before that I hoped a miracle would befall me. Safe to say it did. Shortly after, we both discovered alongside the other group that Santaura planned an attack on the Crystalline Palace itself, and the Verkhovna Anglia. She was intending to murder Tsar Mecislavs of the Deben house and you, Furu. Clarkov F.: Me? ...Is that what that one assassination attempt was? Tarrick J.: Yes, and I apologise for it. You should never have even been forced to be Prime Minister at only 10 years old in the first place. Clarkov F.: I quit the first chance I got, the time I finally accepted myself and tried to take better care of my own health. My last act was bringing in a lower age limit on who can become Prime Minister, before the absolute monarchy kicked in. Tarrick J.: We managed to thwart her attempt. I don't know how, but Amelia and I were able to somehow force our way past the amnesia and Santaura's memory was fully restored by finding out our child was still alive, understandably a bit confused at first while taking it all in. We worked with the authorities to find a way to seal the Nativitate somewhere no one can tamper with it. But, 17 years of waiting and effort paid off. A miracle really did occur. Shu K.: I'm glad you managed to get your family back. You may be the most worthy husband and father I've met. ...A medicine with side effects that essentially border on brainwashing and amnesia. Something like that could be very dangerous if the wrong sort of people get their hands on it. Tarrick J.: Yes. We're expecting our second child soon. Her name will be Poppy. Santaura and Amelia are here in Overthinkers, watching our matches. I was waving to them when I scored my second try. I want to make them proud. Hanako I.: I-I think you've already done that. [As Hanako, who had lost both her parents in a fire, and Tarrick, who had so nearly lost his wife and daughter, shared a heartfelt smile, a hovervan emerged into view.] Jeremy C.: Is that...? [The hovervan arrives and out steps May.] James M.: I made it. Captain National Speed Limit is here and for once I can say I have done this properly. Jeremy C.: No you haven't. We've lost to Cambria 7-3. That on top of being battered by Larxia and Avadonialis, the former we should have been able to butcher. James M.: Oh cock. So, what'd I miss? Richard H.: A lot. Zoran
2 July 1424 — The Zoranian Competition and Consumer Authority (CCA) has just announced that it shall begin to conduct an investigation against the Varanian technological company known as C-Tech. C-Tech owned and founded by current Varanian Prime Minister, Sarah Finn, is known for its products such as the eyePhone and eyePad which have grown in popularity over the years. However, allegations against the company's alleged data collection activities has raised concerns among private and public individuals in regards to privacy and national security. In response, the CCA has announced that it shall conduct an investigation into C-Tech devices to determine whether these claims hold any merit. Should this investigation turn up any evidence of data collection, the CCA will likely bring charges against C-Tech and a ban on the sale and use of C-Tech products are likely to be put into place. Some claim that this investigation have a more political motive behind them with the recent rise of Sarah Finn in Varanian politics and concern over her recent behavior in her first few days in office. With her fiery rhetoric and campaign promises that pose a potential threat to stability in the Darkesian region, one could easily imagine this act to be a subtle attack against her without openly condemning her. Whether Queen Atsila had a hand in starting this investigation is uncertain and she has refused to make a comment on the matter at this time. "Shū Tiemung! Tiemung is in, Tiemung is through, Tackle! Zicha stops the last attempt of the first half! The ball is to Santiago Guivaldi!" HALF TIME (3-0) Soon after the last chance of the first half, with a whistle blow from the ref, the first 40 minutes ended with both teams preparing to reorganize, Ryxtylopia heading into the rest with a minor lead. "And, whistle! The first half has ended: Ryxtylopia winning against Peourouin live from Overthinkers from TVNC! We'll be back briefly to continue our 3rd transmission from the 5th Rugby World Cup in Overthinkers!" 48 Minutes in... (10-0) By the game's continuation with Peourouin still being agressive, the ryxtylopian defense was running back and forth with a lot passes and tackles, and not many rucks, but during a maul, the ball ends in the hands of blindside flanker: Armando Mataña who started a series of passes from the left side of the pitch to the right: first to Quista Farris who passed to Marco Xilta who moved forward before passing back to Farris, who then passed Adila Quistra and finally ended the chain by passing to Palmiras who with some moves dazzled Peourouin's left wing: Zhào Wu'er going around and landing the try. Quistra converted not long after, making the score 10-0. "Its Armando Mataña with possetion, Mataña to Quistra! Quistra, Quistra, Quistra to Xilta! Xilta is running towards Peourouin's side! He's in- Xilta to Farris! Fa- TO QUISTRA AGAIN! Quistra to Palmiras! Palmiras is through, She turns annnd SHE'S IN SCORE!!! Palmiras has scored for Ryxtylopia!" "Now its Adila Quistra to convert. Attention everybody, ladies and gentlemen... Quistraaaaaaaaaaaa! SCORE!! Quistra has converted! Ryxtylopia: 10! Peourouin: 0!" 57 Minutes in... (10-7) After several unsuccessful attacks that ran straight into defense, a mistake by Armando Mataña who overextended after receiving a pass is taken advantage of by Shū Tiemung who tackled Mataña and allowed Xí Hesong to bolt through the ryxtylopian line before passing to hooker: Lóng Blake who scored the try, opening the scoreboard for Peourouin. Hesong achieved the conversion bringing it up 10-7. "Armando... Tackle! Its now Hesong, Hesong is through on the lines, now passing to... Blake! Blake! Blake! Blake! Blaaaaaaaaake! Lóng Blake has SCORED! Foooooor Peourouin!" 65 Minutes in... (17-7) The game continued dragging on with Peourouin making several attacks, most of them running right into the Pirates defense ending in a loss of possetion and a counter attack for the ryxtylopians, and this was no different in the 65th minute when after a play that resulted in a ruck favoring Ryxtylopia ended. Ferrán Lisquerva started one of many counter attacks, carrying it over the midfield passing to Quistra, who was tackled as players from both teams went into the resulting ruck, with Riberto Huichilca being able to take possetion and run away, passing to Pailo Darrias who avoided Peourouin's right-wing: Bai Fashi, scoring the try. With Huilchica converting not long after. "Ruck, Ruck, Ruck, Ruck, its now Lisquerva! Lisquerva ladies and gentlemen, now to Quistra, Quistra- TACKLE! RUCK! We can't see, many players are ontop of the ball but its now... HUILCHICA HUILCHICA TO DARRIAS, ATTENTION... DARRIAAAAAAAAAAS!! SCOREEEEEEEEE!! FOR RYXTYLOPIA!!" "Now Huilchica to convert, its Huilchicaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!! Through the poooooooooooost SCORE! Ryxtylopia has achieved another try and conversion! Its now 17 to 7!" 73 Minutes in... (17-7) After a Maul near the midfield Blake opened a major chance for Peourouin after slipping through the ryxtylopian lines, however he was quickly cornered between Rinaco Patochá, Santigo Guivaldi and Marco Va'atí, forcing him to attempt a drop goal that physically bounced off the post and into the stands, with the extremly close miss. The game remained the same with Peourouin now attacking more agresivley searching for the chance as Ryxtylopia started to play a more defensive-focused game. "Its oh OH A MISTAKE! BLAKE IS THROUGH, BLAKE IS RUNNING FOR PEOUROUIN, HIS COUNTRY DEPENDS ON HIM! He's cornered! Its up to him to find a wa- KICK ANNNND- THE POST! THE POST! THE POST IS TREMBLING FROM THE BALL!! A near miss by Lóng Blake! The score's still 17-7!" 75 Minutes in... (17-10) After a scrum favoring the ryxtylopians ended in Darrias not being able to take a chance and slipping while trying to do a 90º turn, Peourouin's openside flanker: Lǐ Deng took possetion and carried the ball before passing to Xí Hesong who dropped the ball for a drop goal, having more luck than blake the ball traversed near the left post but it still went in scoring Peourouin another 3 points, bringing the game up 17-10. "Da- Darrias Slipped! Its now Li...? I don't know how you pronounce that er... Anyways... Deng with the ball now! its for Xí Hesong, ladies and gentlemen... Hesong is- DROP AND GOAL! SCORE! Hesong has scored 3 for Peourouin! With an amaizing Drop goal!" FULL TIME (17-10) However after that, with Peourouin still attacking, they frecuently lost possetion allowing the Pirates to blunt any of their attacks, for the next 5 minutes of the match before ending it with the win. "Annnd... TIME'S UP! RYXTYLOPIA LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! HAS WON! The score is Ryxtylopia: 17! Peourouin: 10! in this match where Peourouin showed off their attacking potential! But we showed them our balanced defending! And our capacity to conduct counter attacks!" "And so the pirates have prevailed once again, moving us to second in the group! Again, on behalf of TVNC and Ryxtylopia we thank Overthinkers for hosting and allowing this signal to take place, without a good host we wouldn't be able to transmit the games." "But this has been the end, once again im Pablo Virriscayda TVNC comentator for this rugby world cup, and we'll see you on our next transmission where the PIRATES! will face the MIGHTY ORANGUTAN! RYXTYLOPIA VS ARIFIYYAH! Thank you for watching and have a nice day!" The Transmission ends. Saint Mark, Zoran, Nouveau and 1 other

Nouveau
A protestor on the streets of Pointe-d'Espoir Government Legalizes Deep-sea Mining, Protests Erupt In the Capital Lucio Justinus 3/7/1424 Pointe-d'Espoir - The Grande Assemblee voted yes to deep-sea mining according to the Grande Assemblee clerk. The new regulations would allow companies to bid for quadrants of the sea, prospect for resources, and perform mining for limited time periods. The vote came a year after two companies, Buire and MatUnis, petitioned the government to consider prospecting licenses near L'Ile du Noir, a small island far east of the mainland. Protests formed outside la Citadelle de la République by opponents to the bill. Buire and MatUnis, two mining conglomerates based in Nouveauterra, petitioned the Ministry of Land Management in 1423 to allow for licenses off the coast of L'Ile du Noir. The small island of over 500 people sits just over 150 miles from the capital, and is theorized to be at the center of a nodule field containing precious metals, from platinum to gold. The Ministry of Land Management didn’t have prior authority to grant such licenses, and the issue was taken to the Grande Assemblee. The Assemblee’s Committee of Economic Affairs held hearings in late September 1423, and created a draft bill based on testimony from experts, activists, and representatives from Buire and MatUnis. After the 1423 election, and readings in the Lower and Upper Assemblies, the bill passed along party lines today. In a speech supporting the bill, Burgess Eustace Leonis said, "This bill gives Nouveauterran businesses the opportunity to stay ahead in the global marketplace, and provide jobs to many people from the highly skilled to the kid straight out of École Civile." Burgess Marcellus Rucy Protestors against the bill gathered outside la Citadelle de la République by midday today, including Burgesses Reverie Demercie and Marcellus Rucy of the Terre et Mer environmental party, holding signs and chanting in the street. Burgess Rucy organized protest chants with his hands. Police formed containment lines around the protestors with shields rested on the ground. Burgess Reverie Demercie and her wife Olivia “The Ligue should be ashamed of what they’re letting happen,” said Burgess Demercie. She stood with her wife Olivia who held a sign, “laisse la mer se reposer”, Let the Sea Rest. Protestors and activists claim that the deep sea mining will wreak untold levels of destruction on marine life by disrupting the seafloor. “Most of what we know is preliminary,” said Roan Portier. He is a marine ecologist at Université Ferax. “But even studies of dredging, deep drilling, and natural vortexes shows that deep sea mining would significantly impact ocean life, wherever it takes place. Many bottom feeders and animals rely on the certainty of the seafloor for survival.” Protests are rumored to continue into the foreseeable future, but as of this moment the bill stands. Buire and MatUnis are said to submit licensing bids for prospecting after the 90-day delay period imposed by the Ministry of Land Management. Bran Astor
Quote The air, a frigid slap, stole the breath from Sten's lungs. This goddamn altitude. The world stretched thin and colorless, the Dalimbar peaks like broken teeth against the bruised purple sky. Across the makeshift boxing ring of trampled snow, Alar looked even colder. His usual cocky grin was a tight line, his lips the color of a fresh bruise. They were closer than brothers, had been since they were fresh-faced recruits puking in the boot camp latrines. Tonight, that bond was a forgotten luxury. "Ready for this, Stenny-boy?" Alar rasped, his voice sandpaper rough. He stretched, each movement measured, testing the limits of his mangled knuckles, already wrapped in crimson gauze. Sten didn't answer. Words seemed pointless. This fight was punishment, a public display courtesy of Captain Volkov after their drunken brawl had woken half the damn regiment. A test, maybe. A morbid entertainment for the Cambric troops huddled around the makeshift ring, their faces ghostly smudges in the dying light. The referee, a scrawny corporal with a cauliflowered ear, banged a tin cup against a rock - their bell. The sound clanged hollowly. They met in the center, two broken gears grinding against each other. Alar lunged first, a wild, looping punch that Sten dodged with ease. The wind carried the faint tang of blood with it as the fist whistled past. Sten countered with a jab straight to Alar's chest, the satisfying thud of bone meeting muscle echoing in the thin air. They fought like cornered animals, fueled by a primal need to prove something, not just to the watching soldiers, but to themselves. Punches landed and were repaid with interest. Blood, slick and crimson, tracked down Alar's temple, blurring his vision. Sten's lip split open, a fat, wet thing that pulsed with a dull ache. The snow crunched under their boots, a steady counterpoint to the grunts escaping their lips and the sickening wet thwack of flesh on flesh. There was no grace in their fight, none of the polished exhibitions Sten'd seen in the Payette fleshpots before the war. This was a brawl, a desperate struggle for dominance in a world spiraling out of control. Suddenly, a misstep. Alar's boot caught on a hidden patch of black ice, sending him sprawling. Sten froze, his fist cocked in mid-air. The world held its breath. Then, a harsh laugh, raw and laced with pain, ripped from Alar's throat. "You gonna stand there all night, Stenny-boy?" he rasped, pushing himself up with a grimace. "Finish it." Sten didn't need telling twice. He lunged, the world a tunnel of stinging sweat and frigid air. His fist connected with Alar's jaw with a sickening crunch that echoed in the stillness. Alar crumpled, a broken marionette. Sten stood over him, chest heaving, the world tilting on its axis. Silence stretched, broken only by the mournful sigh of the wind. Slowly, Alar stirred, a groan escaping his lips. He looked up at Sten, his face a bloody mess, and a weak smile flickered on his lips. "Always knew you hit harder, Sten," he wheezed. - except from Promise of Youth by Martin Alver Nouveau, Zoran, United Adaikes and 2 others
Zhiznovsk
0615 ZMT, outside of Verkhiy-Belderevsk, the 30th of June. The salty ocean spray seemed, to especially hang in the air that day, as several people gathered around a cold corpse lying at the foothill of a steep coastal bluff, seemingly having been disposed of there. The sun's light had already graced them- Such were the wonders of summer, and it wasn't long before the body was identified as that of Arseniy Kravchenko, people's managerial coordinator for Pravda TV, a prominent Zhiznovskian news network. While the fuzz conducted their own investigative work, the agency's special hound hung outside the taped-off cordon, her cool nature hiding curiosity gnashing at her best efforts to chain it. Precocious, ecclectic, with a certain distaste for authority which would've had her sacked in any other nation. Perhaps it was her luck, then, to be living on the one nation in Esferos founded on disobedience. She sat on a folding metal chair in the impromptu investigation, far colder than it would've looked like on the surface, biding her time. Meanwhile, those around her continued to work, frenzied. It was already clear that it was a homicide, but scant little information could be gleaned from the surface, and in such a high profile case, the media would surely be nipping at the opportunity to avenge one of their own. She could see the investigation pointman, Vasily Verkowski, with his head in his hands in his office, the only place in that godforsaken tent to have a fan. Whatever plans he had that day, perhaps even that week, were surely now out of the question. Her eyes quietly followed him as he left through a back "door", returning to the crime scene Some ten minutes later, a first responder approached her, dressed in their typical formal blue and red, such a colonial holdover that uniform was. Male, early 40s, judging by his accent and complexion, not native to the area, neither ring nor any marked sign of having worn one for the past year or so, either unmarried or long divorced, judging by his age and role, likely someone who can settle for a humble and modest living, free of all ambition save for his immediate surroundings, even with all the state has at his behest. Tch. "Zdrastvuj, Tovar' Bleibaum, you've been cleared to enter the scene." "Have I? Really? That bastard Vasya found it in his heart to let little old me in?" The officer sighed, clearly unready to deal with whatever sarcastic shit she was on. "Look, count yourself lucky you're being let in this time." "I don't need you letting me in, I let myself in." "Are you admitting to breaking into the scenes of active investigations?" "No comment..." The shit eating grin on her face was almost unbearable to watch, but the officer knew as well as she did that she was probably one of the few people in the country who might be able to get away with such a thing. "...Get in, Tovar' Bleibaum, I'll pray for your safety." The veiled insult didn't fly past her, but she decided to move on and let it slide, she had better things to deal with. She approached the cordon, clumsily fishing for something out of her skirt pocket. The man at the cordon's "gate" stood firm, a human wall and built accordingly. "Tovar', I'll require identification." She quietly passes him a lanyard, ratty and beaten up, yet recognisably PCIA. "Looks good", He says, handing her back her lanyard. "As usual, we'll need a quick search." Without even prompting, she raised her hands up, an A-shape, accustomed to the mundane bureaucratic routines of the agency- Understandable, given how many people tried smuggling guns onto crime scenes in the early days of the nation. Thank goodness those were long past all of them. "The hat too, Tovar' Bleibaum". Right. She'd forgotten about that. She took off her shepherd's cap, waving it in front of the man. "Want me to pull a rabbit out of there too?" "I'm afraid that'd contaminate the crime scene, Tovar' ". "Hey, who knew he hired people with a sense of humour, nice job." She said, as she daintily frolicked in, grabbing a hair net and a pair of lab gloves on the way in. The scene laid before them was gruesome, the body having been dropped some two or three dozen feet onto the rocks below. Brown hair, young, reasonably attractive, mint green suit- expensive, unreasonably so, post-mortem trauma wounds to the head and upper body by way of getting there the short way, and the smoking gun, a gunshot wound piercing his right lung. "Your boys not able to get the job done, Vasya?" She said, lifting up one of Artemij's cold, clammy hands. "Wouldn't have the pleasure of receiving you here if we did, Masha." "Ah, right." She looked around the body some more. They didn't have much to go on, but what little they did have wasn't particularly damning. They'll need to wait for autopsy, or an epiphany, whichever came first. "Stumped? Hm?" He seemed to revel in seeing that veneer of superiority of hers break down for once. "Me? Never, I just....need more time." "Of course you do, now let the actual professionals get to work" "Hey, I'll have you know I'm PCIA too, кропка." "Just get out of our way Masya." "...Sure", she said, biting her tongue. She fell into thought, as the mortuary specialists worked around her, she always found the chaotic, morbid atmosphere particularly focusing for her mind. "...Something is rotten in the state of Zhiznovsk..." "Masha, what the fuck are you talking about" "Let me think, Vasyu" 2115 ZMT, in a bar in Sel'gorod, the 30th of June. Maria sat there, swirling her drink, as a TV blared on in the background. ...Artemij Davodovich Kravchenko. Details are sparse, as investigations are still ongoing. The staff, presenters, reporters, and other members of Ruchka TV offer our heartfelt condolences to Artemij and his family, he was a close friend of the agency, and he will forever be missed. In honour of his untimely passing, we will now observe a minute of silence, to the man who brought new life into our news, our hearts, and our minds. 'If only they fucking stayed that way...' She quietly remarked to herself. This case was certainly not fucking closed. Overthinkers
THE PRODIGY PAGE 13 The Shockwave Gaither Williams comments on the EV boom and changing times Gaither Williams knows a thing or two about technology. While tinkering after hours at Rikard Electric in Cangham, Williams discovered a method that made traditional batteries better withstand harsher conditions and constant use. He believed in his product enough that in 1387, with considerable loans from particular benefactors, he left Rikard to start his own company: the unassumingly named Large Box, Inc. “I don’t remember the exact origins of the name,” he told one interviewer in 1413. “It was an inside joke between myself and my sisters, and I didn’t want to spend weeks agonizing over the perfect branding. So I introduced myself to investors as Large Box, and the product sold itself.” Over the following 37 years, Williams became one of the faces of technology in Overthinkers. As the world started to follow Andolia in adopting clean energy, his innovations formed the foundation of the new grid. Many of us remember his 30-second PSAs promoting the industry. He was a great spokesman, because he believed in what he was doing. In 1398, Large Box bought out Rikard Electric. The plant is still in operation, churning out appliances large and small for household use. “That was where I felt like I had made it,” Williams told me. We were seated in a private conference room at the Werther Hotel. Rather than a suit, the CEO had opted for an Ethaertin wool sweater to keep off the April chill. “It had all come full circle.” But Williams’ backstory is nothing new, certainly not with the publication of his memoir, The Will and the Way, last year. When we spoke, the now-infamous electric vehicle bill was not yet out of committee, but it was a certainty that it would hamper the industry’s rapid growth. Yet when I popped the question, Williams seemed unconcerned. “Five years, ten years, it’s still happening,” he said. “Personal vehicle ownership is at an all-time high in Overthinkers. The people want to get to exactly where they need to go, exactly when they want to. Now that they can own a low-maintenance, low-impact car, taking public transport will become comparatively a hassle.” As usual, Williams was one of the first in the Oertin to invest in electric vehicles. Large Box partnered with a Larxian manufacturer, providing the necessary electronics for the Journey line, one of the most affordable EVs available at the time. While produced in Larxia, Journeys were the first of their kind to be imported to Overthinkers wholesale. Williams and others have also personally invested in domestic startups creating EVs. “Everyone tells me, ‘Overthinkers have a particular way of doing things; you’re not gonna change that anytime soon,’ “ he said. “I always respond with something like, ‘I don’t need to.’ I know how to protect my investments. I can play the long game.” The long game indeed. Williams is well aware that the change he wants to see has wider repercussions, the very same that the legislature is seeking to mitigate in their own way. But Williams has put his money where his mouth is. Through the Gaither WIlliams Foundation, he has donated millions of monetary units to start technical programs in Cangham, Hestmere, and Anders. His own technicians have designed a curriculum for students to learn the necessary skills to either manufacture or, more importantly, service EVs. “We’re opening up a whole new world of skilled jobs here. Not everyone is NUA smart, you know. Some of us are Hestmere Technical College smart, and you need those kind of people too.” I opted not to mention WIlliams’ postgraduate degree from NUA at the time. “At the end of the day, it’s about freedom,” he summarized. “The freedom to move around on your own terms feels like a basic human right. But we as a society have convinced ourselves that it’s a bad thing. I think consumers today have wised up. No regulation is going to keep it at bay forever—there’s a shockwave coming, and you can already see things shaking.” ⬛ Edited July 4 by Overthinkers formatting. oh to have an automatic columns button Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia, Dalimbar, United Adaikes and 5 others
Mygrdiyah
WATCH: Day 6 Pre-Match Press Conference with Mr. Taue and Mr. Kisugi By Hanako Ichinose | Public Relations Representative | 3 July 1424 (1 hour ago) Transcript: Ichinose: "Hello, everyone! Welcome to today’s pre-match press conference. My name is Hanako Ichinose, and I’m glad to be here today as part of the Mygrdiyan national team’s staff. In just a moment, I’ll be joined by both Mr. Kisugi and Mr. Taue. Members of the media -- our esteemed guests -- will have an opportunity to ask any questions that they might have for either the manager of the team or the team's coach." "With introductions out of the way, let's get right down to it!" Team Manager Tetsuya Kisugi and Coach Naofumi Taue emerge from the corner of the room and begin making their way to their seats behind the table on stage. Ichinose: "As many of you know, Mygrdiyah stands as the only undefeated team left in this year's competition. It's an exciting time for all of us, especially the players. Please give them your utmost consideration. Thank you!" The crowd of media personnel applauds before soon falling silent once again. Kisugi: "Hello! Is this on?", the man asks while tapping at the microphone in his hand and looking away towards a sound technician. "Ah, excellent. It's great to be here, and I'm glad to see so many faces in attendance as you all join us here to support the great sport of rugby and to reflect on the Mygrdiyan national team's progress thus far." "Sitting to my left is Mr. Taue; a man who's been working extremely hard for our players in preparation for the steep competition that we face from within our draw group. Please give him your best!" The crowd applauds once again before returning to anticipatory silence. Taue: "Good day, all. My name is Naofumi Taue. Thank you for your praise and introduction, Mr. Kisugi." "Now, I'm sure that some of you might have questions for me. One at a time, please. We should have time to get to everyone." A man in the second row raises his hand and a sound technician hurries over to hand him a microphone. Shimizu: "Wataru Shimizu, editor of Rugby Revolution magazine." "There’s been a lot of positivity surrounding this team as of late. After three straight wins and a day of rest, some might say that Mygrdiyah is the team to beat in group D of this year’s World Cup. How do you respond to those comments?" Taue: "Well," the man pauses. "Let's not get ahead of ourselves." "It's a lot of little things that come together in order for us to play a good game. If we can play a good game and remain competitive then more wins might follow. But our players know that I expect nothing less than their absolute best and they're always willing to give me at least that." "Team to beat? I'm not sure. Ask me again in a few days, if you would. But, right now, it's about what happens tonight when we go up against a very strong side from Naliba. With that in mind, my only expectation is we remain focused and concentrate on tonight's performance." The magazine editor sits down after Coach Taue is finished speaking and the microphone quickly shifts over to a woman sitting in the third row across the aisle from him. Nagisa: "Good day, sirs. Reika Nagisa reporting on behalf of MNN Sports." "You’ve got two of your toughest matchups still to come later on in this year’s tournament and the players won’t be getting another rest day before then. How prepared would you say that your squad is to take on the rugby giants of Dalimbar and Giovanniland?" Taue: "Rest days are important", the man said plainly. "Both for our players and for me." "For them, it's a chance to take a break from their training and allow their bodies to heal from a more grueling schedule. For me, it's an opportunity to step back and take a look at how things are shaking out in other groups. While I can't say that I've had much time to see either of those two squads in action, I was able to watch a good bit of yesterday's match between Ryxtylopia and Peourouin." "I saw some great things in that game, and it helped give me insight into how other teams are faring past the halfway point. As far as our own group with Dalimbar and Giovanniland go, I'd say that we'll need to approach both of those matchups accordingly and with care. They seem to be on the up and up as of late, as they've both picked up wins against Ostronia and Min-Su, respectively." "If we want to win those games, we can't afford to get cocky and careless. Even so, I like our chances as much as anyone else's. We'll come to play no matter the opponent." The woman thanks Mr. Taue for answering her question before sitting down and giving away the microphone. Oliverde: "Numerio Oliverde of LudoGiovanniterra here." "A little over a week ago, your team’s captain said that he and his teammates were focused on playing their game above all else and that they weren’t going to let the excitement of the moment distract from their training. From where you sit, would you say that's how things have been handled thus far?" Mr. Taue begins to nod slowly. Taue: "Yes. I can honestly say that I think Mr. Yagyu has done a great job in his current role as our team captain." "Being a leader goes beyond being the face that fans associate with an entire squad. It's about what you do for your teammates, the respect that you command in the dressing room, and being deserving of your opponents' respect as well. When players come together and put their talents towards the success of the group, well, amazing things can be achieved." "We've been getting results on the pitch, and we've even managed to surprise a few people with our play. Mr. Yagyu and his teammates know not to lean into all of that too heavily, as I've told them not to. But it certainly doesn't hurt to have the support of those who might've previously not even considered us as a team worth following. After all, those extra cheers are great for player morale." The reporter from LudoGiovanniterra scribbles some notes on a pad of paper before thanking Mr. Taue and returning to his seat. Ignatiyev: "Hi. Lazar Ignatiyev from Free State Television (FSTV). This question is for Mr. Kisugi." Mr. Kisugi perks up, almost as if he's been waiting for a question to be directed towards him. Ignatiyev: "You may not know this, but Dalimbari bookies have taken note of your team's quick rise. The sports betting sites in the Free State have been excited about it, actually. So, with that in mind, how do you feel about your team's odds in future matchups?" Taue: "Odds?", he asks while chuckling. "Well, I'm not at all a betting man myself. Gambling is actually illegal in my country, so I wouldn't know much about that. But if you're asking about how I think we'll fare, well then, I'd say it's up to the players themselves to rise to the occasion and it's up to Mr. Taue to put together a gameplan that enables them to do so." "Beyond that, everything is up to idle speculation. You would know about that, I'd imagine. So let's just see where the next few days take us." Ichinose: "As a general reminder, this question will be the last question for today's conference. Once again, thank you everyone!" Frenkel: "Hey there! Steffen Frenkel from Zhiznovsk." "I wanted to ask you, Mr. Kisugi, about how the venues of each game factor into your team's plans. Specifically, I noticed that Mygrdiyah is designated as the home team in today's match against Naliba and will be wearing their home kits as a result. But, of course, everyone is away while we're all here in Overthinkers. Well, except for Overthinkers themselves that is...", he trails off. "Anyhow, whether it's fifty thousand fans screaming in a foreign language or tens of thousands of faithful back home in Mygrdiyah supporting you, how does your squad manage to tune out the noise on a consistent basis and go about business as usual even when the pressure to stay atop group D is on?" Kisugi: "That's a good question. Thank you for asking." "As far as we're concerned, what it all boils down to is a love of the game. The people will like who they like, and they'll naturally want to chant and cheer for them. We can't control the noise that's coming in, but, of course, isn't that part of the beauty in being a fan?" "At the end of the day, we're all professionals here. Not only are we incredibly proud to be representing our country on the world stage, but we also accept the responsibility that comes with that when doing so. Sometimes we'll go into hostile territory, so to speak. When the crowd isn't on our side, it doesn't make us love the game any less. Really, that's when it comes time for our staff and our passionate fanbase to make the players feel at ease and at home. That way, even if we are away -- rather on paper or on a map -- we can carry those feelings with us in the face of new challenges." Dalimbar
STAVKA - CHIEFDOM OF ENERGY DEVELOPMENT Saint Andreisburg - Maj Gen. Asya Smola, Chief of Energy Development, has announced that the "Blue Sea Energy Group" based in Danu has been awarded exploration and exploitation rights over the "Danu Gas Field #1" site, 25 nautical miles south-south east of Danu. This is the first phase of exploitation of the Danu Gas Field. Maj Gen. Smola stated: "The Free State will always maintain energy sovereignty especially when we are surrounded by those who oppose us and our way of life. The opening of Danu Gas Field #1 will enhance Dalimbari strategic energy objectives and allow us the ability to sell excess natural gas to willing foreign buyers. Further development of the field will continue to strengthen our energy power." Danu Gas Field #1 is roughly 1,300km3 in size under the sea floor in the Blue Sea, a complex of fields which extend well into the Vostochii-occupied part of the Blue Sea. Danu Gas Field #1 is expected to produce 45×1012 cu ft of natural gas over its production cycle. Col. Vladan Tomich, Chairman of the Blue Sea Energy Group, stated: "We are proud to be part of Dalimbar's energy future, and we are especially proud that as a local energy company, the Free State has chosen to invest in the Blue Sea area. We thank Stavka for allowing us this opportunity to serve the nation in maintaining energy sovereignty." Construction of the site, including offshore platforms and other infrastructure, is expected to start in early Fall of 1424, with extraction operations commencing in Fall 1425. Preliminary work by the STAVKA Working Group on Energy and the Chiefdom of Energy Development have already facilitated a significant portion of pre-development, aiding in the speed in which the Blue Sea Energy Group can begin their important work. Teralyon
Polaris Clash: Teralyon prepares to face Fujai in upcoming World Cup match Teralyon's journey in this tournament has been nothing short of spectacular. With a perfect record of three wins out of three matches, they have established themselves as formidable contenders. Known for their relentless defense and dynamic offense, the Teralyon squad has displayed remarkable cohesion and resilience. Their most recent match against Nieubasria was a nail-biter, with Teralyon narrowly clinching a 5-3 victory. The game was a testament to their defensive prowess, as they managed to hold off Nieubasria's aggressive attacks. The lone try by Visnja Dvorkin and a successful conversion by Zivko Koci were enough to secure the win in a match dominated by tactical play and strategic defense. Captain Zivko Koci commented on their performance, saying, "Our team has shown great determination and teamwork. The match against Nieubasria was challenging, but we learned a lot and are excited for the challenge that Fujai presents. We are ready to give it our all." Fujai’s Strong Presence Fujai, on the other hand, has proven to be a dominant force in this World Cup. With three wins out of four matches, they have demonstrated their strength and versatility on the field. Their only loss came in their most recent game against United Adaikes, where they were defeated 8-0. This loss highlighted some vulnerabilities in their defense and offensive execution, areas they are undoubtedly looking to improve upon before facing Teralyon. Key Players and Strategies For Teralyon, star player and fly-half Visnja Dvorkin will be crucial. Rivers' exceptional kicking and playmaking abilities have been pivotal in their victories so far. Alongside him, flankers Bozhil Nikolic and Gorsl Dvorkin have been instrumental in maintaining a robust defense. Fujai’s strength lies in their all-rounded team play and tactical acumen. Scrum-half Eskild Åsheim has been a standout performer, directing plays with precision and agility. Their forward pack, led by the towering presence of lock Birk Broks, will be key in challenging Teralyon’s defense. Analysis and Predictions Rugby analysts are predicting a closely fought contest. Teralyon’s unbeaten streak gives them a psychological edge, but Fujai’s experience and depth in the squad cannot be underestimated. The battle between Teralyon’s defense and Fujai’s attacking prowess will likely be the defining aspect of this match. Analyst Vedran Nolovic noted, "Teralyon’s defense will be tested against Fujai’s strategic plays. If Teralyon can maintain their defensive solidity while capitalizing on counter-attacks, they stand a strong chance. However, Fujai’s experience in high-pressure games might give them the upper hand in crucial moments." The Bigger Picture This match is not just about the win-loss record; it’s about national pride and the spirit of competition. Both teams have showcased exceptional talent and sportsmanship, making this encounter a highlight of the Fifth Rugby World Cup. As the fans eagerly await the clash, one thing is certain: the match between Teralyon and Fujai promises to be a thrilling display of rugby excellence, with both teams vying for a place in history. Giovanniland
The Unification of Lavender Island Lavender Island has historically been divided into four major civilizations—the Abrentans, Lavandulans, Glendulans and Minsunese. The Minsunese and Lavandulans called the island their home since time immemorial, whereas the Glendulans arrived around the same time as the Lavandulan Empire's peak in 800 BF, and the Abrentans arrived to the island from Saint Mark starting from 390 BF, as they formerly lived in southern Saint Mark and decided to flee the northern Markans' expansion. The early 6th century AF, where the story of unification starts, was an uncertain time for the island. In the west, the Glendulans had been through a cold war going on for centuries between northern and southern clans. In the south lay the Abrentan Republic, which had enjoyed a golden age between the 3rd and 5th centuries AF, notably establishing friendly relations with the Lavandulans, pioneering great trade between the two and also adopting the Lavandulan religion. However, the republic now endured political strife between its recently formed Triumvirates (which replaced the traditional system of two leaders due to the incorporation of vast new lands) and the Senato Abrenti. In the north, the New Lavandulan Empire had been formed a century before by Emperor Thupten I, overcoming the arduous post-imperial period of the Lavandulan civilization. The new emperors sought to relive the glorious age of ancient Lavandula between the 10th and 7th centuries BF, and had recently brought all the post-imperial realms. However, a religious issue persisted in the eastern Lavandulan provinces, since they had abandoned the traditional Lavandulan religion after the empire's fall due to influence from Gaoist missionaries coming from Minsu. When the New Lavandulan Empire fell into a succession dispute after the death of the heirless Tsewang I, Minsu decided to intervene in order to protect Gaoist interests, causing further turmoil in Lavandula and the loss of the eastern provinces. The situation in Lavandula only started to stabilize in 534 AF with the rise of a new emperor, Lodak IV, who successfully defended the remaining imperial territory. In Abrento, ideas of unification with Lavandula into a single realm started to rise, given their fundamental trading ties as well as significant cultural similarities that developed over the centuries, such as a common religion. These ideas were most notably championed by Triumvir Giovanni who came to power in 540, which was of the opinion that unification would be useful for better defending the two civilizations against internal and external threats, although the other two triumvirs Kornelio and Sabino were opposed. Giovanni formally proposed it in 548 to Lodak's recently crowned successor Thupten V, who supported the idea—furthermore, the triumvir's son Matteo married Thupten's heiress apparent Nyima in the following year to strengthen the alliance. The discovery of this by Kornelio and Sabino caused tensions to rise to a new level in Abrento, and a civil war between the three triumvirs began soon after. Although Kornelio's military mutinied to Giovanni's cause and assassinated their former ruler in 551, Sabino stood on in the south. Giovanni achieved various successes in the campaign and won significant lands from Sabino, but was killed in the First Siege of Abrentopole that failed in 555. His son Matteo changed some military tactics and led a new eastern campaign that captured various cities in the east, encircling Abrentopole and winning the second siege in 559. The unification of Abrento and Lavandula then happened on 16 January 560, and ushered in the founding of the Giovannian Empire, ruled together by Matteo and Nyima. The new state was named after Triumvir Giovanni of Abrento that spearheaded the unification process, who was posthumously declared Emperor Giovanni I. Matteo and Nyima ruled together for twenty-one years, leaving a lasting influence on the building of the nascent empire's institutions. They consolidated the new imperial government as an absolute monarchy and divided the empire into various regions, which have over time developed into the modern-day administrative divisions of Giovanniland. The monarchs also added some frontier mountainous regions to the empire by 567. Matteo ruled alone for three more years after his wife died in 581, and was succeeded by their son Augusto I. Augusto sought to create an unified national culture with elements from the Abrentans and Lavandulans, forming a new cultural and ethnic group called the Giovannese. He expanded the Lavender Festival to the entire country, built more churches of their common religion, introduced Abrentan music and cuisine to the Lavandulans, and created a law code incorporating costumes from both cultures. After Augusto's death, his brother Zodeno I ruled from 621 until 635. Zodeno waged war against the divided Glendora people of modern-day Blue Bubble. After some skirmishes, the northern clan negotiated with General Dezeno and agreed to submit, in the belief that the Empire would help their side win. The southern side resisted for four more years, and a war in two fronts happened—although the Glendorans defeated General Tullio's army coming from the south in the Battle of Atsimo (628), their army was weakened and unable to resist the advance of Dezeno's troops from the north. Dezeno and Tullio got several victories afterwards, such as in Anondi (629), Moyen (630) and at last Atsinanana (631) where the last resistance was crushed. The two next empresses, Zodeno's daughter Nyima II (ruled 635-652) and her cousin Anna I (ruled 652-664) focused on strengthening the empire rather than pursuing more conquests, and both reigns saw the increase of exports and trading posts established by the Empire in the Darkesian Sea. With the death of Anna I, her younger brother Tommaso I inherited the throne, and the goal of reunifying the island returned to prominence. Tommaso's increase in military spending alerted the nobles of Minsu, who decided to declared war against the Giovannian Empire in 670. Tommaso then declared war in return and encouraged the Lavandulan populations in northern Minsu to rebel, after having been under Minsunese domination for a century and a half. This started the northern front of the war, while in the south it was General Artorio who led the southern offensive against Minsu. The two fronts met in the Minsunese capital of Asahi, and after a failed siege, the successful Second Siege of Asahi came to an end in 689, with Emperor Sora of Minsu being placed under house arrest and a Giovannian military junta being established. Although Tommaso I died in 686 before the war ended, his son Giovanni II oversaw the final stages of the war and then became the first emperor to rule over an unified Lavender Island, which would last for the following four centuries. A new city called Giovannia was built to celebrate this achievement, and it became the new capital in 702. Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia
Continued Roadside Controversies The ever so famous blue colored bus of the ARR was on the road, the players heading to face Ryxtylopia's close neighbor, Arifiyyah. The mood was light, as Arifiyyah hadn't had the best time in the RWC yet. With this most players started consversations and small chats to pass the time while they headed down the road. One of theese conversations started about Arifiyyah's team, but it started to diverge into something else, as the main focus of it drifted with the players first chatting about "Arifiyyah's attacking potential" then to "Arifiyyah is a nice country" to "Arifiyyah borders Bilyad" to finally becomming "What is even going on in Bilyad and why are we letting the cambrians into our country?" And so Ferrán Lisquerva, Rinaco Zicha and Marco Va'atí started with the controversial topic: [Zicha]: Wonder how they deal with the Bilyadi refugees... [Va'atí]: Why'd you bring that up? [Zicha]: My brother lives in Carraizal, and i thought about it since they also border Bilyad. [Va'atí]: Seems random to bring it up. [Lisquerva]: Old talk, they've been flooding in here since like the 90's. [Zicha]: No, but i do actually wonder how the deal with it, i recently got a call from my brother and he talked to me about this Bilyadi who wouldn't stop begging for money, it was pretty sad to hear. [Va'atí]: Im not sure if i want to talk about thi- [Lisquerva]: Is anyone really surprised at that? [Zicha]: That story just stuck on my head. [Va'atí]: And what is even going on in Bilyad theese days, i mean i do remember last time when we were in Dalimbar hearing rumors that they had been attacking like stuff- [Lisquerva]: The news about em attacking ships? [Va'atí]: Yeah that! Why is that happening. [Lisquerva]: They've been... well or they were, i can't say if they still are or not, in a civil war, since the 1390's. Back then we weren't much better, we were going through the whole currency devaluation and the Popular Front Guerilla War, so its not like it was massivley reported here, and it still isn't. [Zicha]: Bilyad is certainly something we don't know much about. [Lisquerva]: And then you have the Cambrians, and the Adaikesans and the Teralyians all there in Carraizal with their fancy under construction military airport base... i don't know what's going on now. [Va'atí]: Why Carraizal? [Lisquerva]: Its close to Bilyad, and the government is willing to sell out the country, we've already seen that time and time again, i doubt Arifiyyah would have allowed it as easily as we did. [Zicha]: I dont think its a bad thing, look at it, the government will get money from it, and if Bilyad becomes even more unstable they'll protect us, plus they will start funding more stuff back home. [Lisquerva]: And you really think the government will spend the money they get from the base on us? Or will they try to make a in the long run wortheless hosting bid for RWC6? [Zicha]: I wouldn't go that far... [Lisquerva]: Do you think they asked any of the people living nearby the zone of construction for input? Of course they didn't, now in a few short years if not months they'll have to deal with noisy fighter jets, and restrictions on fishing near the base. [Zicha]: But the infrastructure projects they'll bring will help Carraizal, and stop people from leaving it, and like i said, they'll protect us from the ever-volatile Bilyad. [Lisquerva]: I dont know much about what's going on in Bilyad, but about that last part, if anything we'll become a target for them they already seem to not care about attacking ships from larger more powerful nations, so what about us? We're right besides them!! [Zicha]: And you're ignoring the positives of this, come on, they'll have to build roads to supply their base and stuff... [Lisquerva]: That'll be for their beneffit more than anything. [Zicha]: And Ryxtylopia is changing, i do belive the money from the base will go to better life for your avarage Pablo or Andreís, times are changing. [Lisquerva]: That's been said by a lot of people in the past and its never been true! You're ignoring my points. [Zicha]: But... [Lisquerva]: This base was a bad idea done poorly! It should've never happened. [Zicha]: Come on, it isn't... The calm chat quickly evolves into endless arguing. [Va'atí]: Guys please calm down... In the end the two continue arguing until they reached the stadium. Zoran, United Adaikes and Saint Mark
United Adaikes
Portion of the transcript of Sports5 Senior News Correspondent Warner Montague as part of the preview for the Match Day 5 for Group B of the RWC V "Ladies and gentleman, welcome back. If you've just started watching, I am Warner Montague, and this is the special coverage of Sports5 on the fifth Rugby World Cup held in Overthinkers. We have not seen the expected group leaders at the top of their groups yet, but we can find out in the remaining match days if they will end at the top. But for now, we talk about briefly on the next fixtures. [talks about Group A] "Up next, in Group B, the first match in Valley Dome Arena in Cargan, we have an all-Polaris match in our midst, we have Teralyon up against Fujai. This will be an exciting match-up for both teams, this is the game to watch in this group. We have the current group leader Fujai up against the undefeated Teralyon. Who will put out the stops? Who will take the win? It's rugby time! "The next match in Cargan will feature our very own United Adaikes up against Sekiya. They are currently 3rd and 4th in the group, respectively. But Coach Huxtable wants to break out of the tie in this match. The Sharks, trying hard to bounce back from their experience in the second match day, they lost their opening game against AU ally Teralyon, but put up best defense in their next games, stopping Nieubasria, 22-0, and Fujai, 8-0. Will they continue this best display of defense against Sekiya? Or will Sekiya have the formula to beat the Adaikesians? "In the 3rd match in Group B, to be played in Roller Field in Hestmere, in the middle of Overthinkers, we have Zhiznovsk versus New Velka. The two teams at the bottom of the group, New Velka still winless, Zhiznovsk wants to get their second win to still have the chance to qualify for the Knockouts round." Peourouin
BREAKING: Transportation Workers Guild Goes on Strike—What It Entails for Automotive Group Laimin in Sponsorship in the Ongoing Rugby World Cup by 谭胡王 Tan Hu-wang Laimin Automotive Group, one of the major auto manufacturers in the country, is facing a struggle while being a headlining sponsor for the team in the ongoing Rugby World Cup held in Overthinkers. A nationwide strike has been announced and all automotive industrial workers are expected to absent their posts later in the day, and expected to last indefinitely until an agreement is reached. This all started from the disagreement of a new contract devised between the Peourouin Auto Workers Insurance Company (PAWI) and the Transportation Workers Guild (TWG), one of the largest insurance companies and the workers’ union respectively. Strikes are currently also impacting public transportation services and many of the fleet drivers sent to Overthinkers are supposedly going on strike in standing with the TWG. Teralyon
Navy vessels complete retrofits and set sail to rejoin Joint Task Force 417 In a significant development, a small contingent of Teralyon navy vessels has successfully completed their retrofits at the naval port on the island of Lyon. The fleet, now equipped with state-of-the-art technology and enhanced capabilities, is back on its way to rejoin Joint Task Force 417. Strategic Enhancements The retrofitting process, which took several months, involved upgrading the vessels with advanced navigation systems, improved defensive mechanisms, and enhanced communication tools. These upgrades are expected to significantly bolster the operational efficiency and combat readiness of the fleet. Admiral Marcos Redij, overseeing the retrofitting process, stated, "The successful completion of these retrofits marks a new chapter for our naval fleet. The enhanced capabilities will ensure that our vessels remain at the forefront of maritime security and defense operations." A Key Location: The Island of Lyon The naval port on the island of Lyon, Teralyon's largest island, played a crucial role in this extensive retrofitting process. Known for its strategic location and state-of-the-art facilities, the port provided an ideal environment for carrying out the necessary upgrades. Port Commander, Captain Lilija Beovic, expressed pride in the team's efforts, "Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure that the retrofitting process was completed efficiently and effectively. We are proud to see these vessels set sail once again, ready to take on their missions with renewed strength." With the retrofits complete, the contingent is now enroute to rejoin Joint Task Force 417, a multinational naval task force made up of navies of Teralyon, Cambria and United Adaikes dedicated to maintaining maritime security and stability in strategic waters. The presence of the newly upgraded Teralyon Navy vessels is expected to significantly enhance the task force's capabilities. Future Prospects As the vessels sail towards their destination, there is a sense of anticipation and readiness among the crew. The successful completion of the retrofits not only marks a technological leap but also underscores Teralyon's commitment to maintaining a robust and agile naval force. The Teralyon Navy's ongoing efforts to modernize and enhance its fleet reflect a broader strategic vision aimed at ensuring long-term maritime security and operational excellence. As the vessels rejoin Joint Task Force 417, they carry with them the hopes and expectations of a nation committed to safeguarding its maritime interests. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Greed's New Album: A Blast from the Past for Late-Night Garage Sessions Greed has finally released their first new album in 20 years, and it’s hitting all the right notes for longtime fans. One fan, Mijak, a father of two, shared his excitement: "It's like being transported back to my youth. I’ve been playing this album non-stop while fixing up my old Rahvan. There’s something about Greed’s music that just fits perfectly with the smell of engine oil and the quiet of the early morning." To Whom It May Concern The band members, now seasoned rock veterans, have expressed their joy at reuniting and creating music together again. Lead vocalist and guitarist, Skot Sjep, commented, "This album is a labor of love. We wanted to create something that resonates with our original fans while also appealing to new listeners. The response has been incredible." Six Feet From The Edge Greed's "My Sacrifice" is more than just a new album; it’s a cultural revival. It’s a reminder of the timelessness of rock music and its ability to bring people together, even in the solitude of a 3 am garage. So, dads, grab your tools, pop open a can of beans, and let Greed’s new album be the soundtrack to your late-night endeavors. Nouveau
Quote The high society social clubs of 1302 Gué were filled with three types of men: new money swindlers, ruthless old-money loan sharks, and outright thieves. The fact that only one reported murder ever happened at a social club during that time beggars belief, but equally surprising is that some of the most important choices and relationships of the next century were forged in those smoky halls. Because of this fact, the dealings in these clubs are opaque to us now, especially as many of these clubs were exclusive, and charged fees. What we do know from writings of the time, and the collected journals of confidants, is that a chance encounter brought six of the nation’s most wealthy men together in the same club called La Salle de Lacques, or the Lacquered Room: Lucius Valaris, the head of the major shipping company Porteurs Valaris Ernst Boul, the head Boul of Boul Médecine Niels Van Niewhus, the proprietor of Fabrique Niewhus Horatio Rex, founder and head of Rex Electrique Martin Août, head of Société de Grenier Consolidée (SGC) Fabien Van Meer, head of Entreprise de Matériaux de Mistige Inham (EMMI) If you haven’t been paying attention, four of the names here are major corporations in Nouveauterra. Rex Electrique is still the largest energy provider in the country, providing energy for the capital and its surrounding villes and communes. Boul Médecine became Boulaire through a major corporate acquisition in 1365, and is now the premier pharmaceutical company in Nouveauterra. Porteurs Valaris later merged with tugboat giant Heraclitus in 1395 to become the major shipping conglomerate VH. Finally, Martin Août left SGC in 1308 to form what is now Août Agriculture, the largest fertilizer company this side of the Gate of Time. The other names here are more complex. EMMI would absorb more mining and resource companies, and rebrand itself after a mining accident that killed nearly 100 miners in 1323. That company is Matériaux Unis, or MatUnis. Fabrique Niewhus no longer exists. But what does exist is the Niewhus System, our federal monetary reserve system that created the State Bank in 1312. And most importantly for many parts of this story, Niewhus would later be introduced to investment banker Julius Castellum. They would form Castellum-Niewhus National Bank. We now know it as Castellum-Niewhus-Perrier, CNP, the wealthiest financial service company in the nation. What these families did, and still do through their descendants is why this book was written. -an excerpt from the chapter "The Brokers" from the historical book, "The Brokers: The Powerful Families Who Shape Nouveauterra" by Walter Van Zeeman, 1399, Dolphin Press Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia, Min-Su, United Adaikes and 2 others
Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia
Arifiyyah vs Ryxtylopia - Match Highlights In this match Ryxtylopia dressed the green and blue shirt, preparing to face Arifiyyah on the pitch. Some pretty major changes had happened this time to the team as heading into the "easier" matches, Tivarra wanted to give some of the reserve and bench players more time, as well as seeking to diversify the Pirates attack options. The changes were: Pailo Darrias (Loosehead prop, No. 1) for Xavio Hui'itá (No. 30) Mirta Palmiras (Tighthead prop, No. 3) for Rinaco Dipartí (No. 23) Armando Mataña (Blindside flanker, No. 6) for Quistra Pivala (No. 33) Ferrán Lisquerva (Scrum half, No. 9) for Julio Disquerravía (No. 32) Marco Va'atí (Left wing, No. 11) for Angilina Nivas (No. 21) As well as that some changes were done to the bench, but neverminding the changes both teams prepared and the TVNC transmission began with Pablo Virriscayda once again comentating. "Right, both sides preparing, the coin toss is happening. LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! Arifiyyah vs Ryxtylopia! The Mighty Orangutan vs the Pirate! And the coin toss was won by... the Pirate! And they've chosen to receive the ball at their side of the pitch, kick off will be commencing soon!" KICK OFF: Kick off signals the start of the game, with Arifiyyah starting out a bit slower than usual in their attacks, playing slightly more cautiously while Ryxtylopia played pretty balancedly waiting for a chance to take possetion away from the Arifians. "And, KICK OFF! Ladies and Gentlemen: Arifiyyah vs Ryxtylopia now live from Overthinkers in the 5th edition of the Rugby World Cup! On TVNC! Go Ryxtylopia!" 11 Minutes in... (0-0) After some minor wasted chances and a lot of pressure from part of the Arifians that lead to a loss of possetion on their part, Ryxtylopia started with the first major chance of the game, when a good pass from Nº 4 lock, and captain: Riberto Huilchica was made towards an open Xavio Hui'itá, however he wasn't able to take advantage of it allowing the Arifian defense to close up on him resulting in a ruck, that favored the defenders allowing them to clear the ball. "Huilchica! Hui'itá! its Xavio Hui'itá with possetion, he's taking it lightly it seems- and he just lost possetion! Hui'itá trying to make the first dent on this 0-0 and failing, the ball is for Arifiyyah!" 17 Minutes in... (0-0) The Pirates next chance came in the 17th, with Blindside flanker Quistra Pivala acheiving to run past Safwan Mansor and Johnny Said in Arifiyyah's defense, however despite her speed in running, she did lack agility in that play resulting in her getting tackled by Syed Hakim before reaching Arifiyyah's line, with Arifiyyah despite being an agressiveley-focused team and loosing possetion quite often being able to rectify their offensive mistakes by mounting a good defense a counter-push. "Disquerravía to Quistra Pivala, Quistra Pivala is steaming ahead for the Pirates! This ship is not stopping! Attention Pivala passed Safwan Mansor! Its Johnny Sai- SHE ALSO PASSED HIM! ATTENTION LADIES AND GENTLEMEN! PIVALAAAAAA- Tackle!! Tackle by Syed Hakim after Pivala fails on a turn!" 25 Minutes in... (0-0) Arifiyyah's first chance came 25 minutes in thanks to the efforts of Nur Jazlan, who was able to take the ball up past the midfield and then Arif Muhammad and Arif Ahmad who started a good series of passes, before running into trouble with the defense, forcing Ahmad to attempt a drop goal, which went besides the post and out of the field. "Arifiyyah starting to pick up their baggage, its Nur Jazlan, Nur Jazlan past the midfield line! Jazlan, Jazlan, Jazlan pass... Its now Arif Muhammad, wait now Arif Ahmad- back to Muhammad and back to Ahmad, they are slowing, Ahmad... DROP! Kick! Annnnd- Miss!! Arif Ahmad has missed the drop goal, the game remains 0-0!" 31 Minutes in... (0-3) The scoreboard would open on the 31st minute thanks to a ruck ending in ryxtylopian possetion by the midfield with Scrum half Julio Disquerravía taking the ball, passing to openside flanker: Marco Xilta, who then after moving forward passed to the Number 8: Quista Farris who then got tackled by Sofian Hadie, who got tackled back by Disquerravía, starting a huge ruck past the halfway line, Divarra came out with possetion evading Safwan Mansor, and getting into a position to attempt a drop goal, which after kicking she scored, bringing the score up to 0-3 in favor of the Pirates. "Julio Disquerravía with possetion! Now to Marco Xilta! Xilta, Xilta! to Farris! TACKLE! Farris has been tackled now its Sofian Hadie for Arif- TACKLE! Tackle by Disquerravía!! Its now in for Ryx- no wait! Arif-RUCK! RUCK! Everybody is now piling on ladies and gentlemen! It will bebebebebebeeeeee... Divarra! Divarra! She's evading; attention! it will be Divarra to... DROP! Kick! annnnd... SCOREEEEE!! Divarra has scored a Drop Goal for Ryyyyyyyyxtyyyyyylopia!" 38 Minutes in... (0-6) 7 Minutes after the scoreboard opened, and 2 before the end of the first half, a ruck that ended in favor for the Mighty Orangutan wasn't taken advantage of by Arif Ahmad who got tackled by Guilbirto Tivaña, who while moving forward was victim of a hard entry of Hakim Syarie, who probably was under pressure to move forward leading him to loose balance and make the rough entry, this lead to a foul and a penalty for the pirates. The penalty was taken by Rinaco Dipartí, who converted landing another 3 points for Ryxtylopia. "This is probably the most intense game after the Zoran match ladies and gentlemen! And its Arif Ahmad! Forward to- Tackle! Tackled by Tivaña annnnd- Tivaña regains possetion it will now... OHMY- TACKLE! WAIT FOUL! Tivaña is now on the ground! A Foul commited by Hakim Syarie... This game continues intensifying its now... PENALTY! PENALTY FOR RYXTYLOPIA! Due to Ahmad's rough entry this is now a Penalty for the Pirate!" "Dipartí to take the penalty. Its Dipartí... SCORE! SCORE! SCORE! SCORE! SCORE! SCOOOOOOOOOOORE!! FOR RYXTYLOPIA!! Dipartí has added another 3 points to the tally, the match is now 0-6!" HALF TIME (0-6) With the referee blowing the half time whistle, both teams quickly stopped and headed to the dressing rooms to rest, the match had been pretty intense with a lot of rucks mauls, and scrums awarded to both sides, and not a lot of chances for tries, rather a lot of chances for kicking drop goals. "Whistle, HALF TIME! Ladies and Gentlemen! The match currently sits at 0-6 favoring the pirates, we'll be back shortly!" 55 Minutes in... (0-6) A good chance opened for Arifiyyah in the 55th when after Angilina Nivas deflected a ball forwards, they were awarded a scrum dangerously within the ryxtylopian side, they would get away from the scrum with possetion thanks to their Number 1: Sonny Bull, however this was short lived as before achieving the try he was stopped by the Pirates fullback: Ernysto Rivas, who tackled allowing right wing: Avilita Mataña to get away with the ball. "Scrum... Scrum... Scrum... The ball for Sonny Bull! Arifiyyah with possetion, he is in the backyard! He's booking it for the back! Its Bull- Tackle! Amaizing turn and tackle by Rivas! Ryxtylopia retains the edge!" 63 Minutes in... (0-13) Despite pressure from the Arifians mounting in the second half, this didn't stop the ryxtylopian attacks, which finally gave the game a much needed try, after a maul near the edge, tighthead prop: Rinaco Dipartí took possetion and incredibly was able to run 1/3rd of the pitchs length to pass back to the hooker: Andreís Guilbirto, who scored the try for the pirates widening the gap in the score to 0-11. Dipartí took the conversion kick and landed it making it 0-13. "We are watching, waiting, will it- and its Ryxtylopia with possetion, with Dipartí! Dipartí is in! Dipartí is through! He left Malek Noor in the dust! Will it be? Attention Dipartíiiiiiiiiiiii- GUILBIRTO! SCOOOOORE!! Ladies and Gentlemen! Andreís Guilbirto was on the right place at the right time to receive the pass from Dipartí! And he's landed the try! Its now 0-11 in favor of RYX-TY-LO-PIA!" "Dipartí for the conversion kick, the ref is getting everybody in their spots, alright, its Dipartíiiiiiiiiiiii SCORE! Dipartí after achieving that amaizing run earlier has converted, its now Arifiyyah 0, Ryxtylopia 13!" 67 Minutes in... (3-13) Despite loosing by a difference of 13 points, the Arifians didn't loose hope for the match, even with their defensive mistakes, and it was this mentality that allowed them to open their side of the scoreboard in the 67th minute, when good passes from Nur Jazlan and Syukur Rosli allowed Hakim Syarie to get into a position from a drop goal, which he successfully scored, despite still being a considerable distance away from the post. "Ariffiyah on the counter! Jazlan, Jazlan to Rosli! Rosli, Rosli, Rosli, Rosli to Syarie! Syarie is going to get cornered soon, he might need to look for a pass backwards or try his luck in a ruck- WAIT drop kick! Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnd SCORE!! A beautiful drop goal performed by Hakim Syarie opens the marker for Arifiyyah!" 73 Minutes in... (3-16) In the last 10 minutes the game intensified considerably, becomming a tug of war for possetion between both sides with constant pushbacks, rucks, mauls and ocational scrums. After one particularly big ruck, Riberto Huilchica caught posetion behind the midfield line, and with the Arifians still turning around, got behind them before attempting a drop goal which he scored in front of the Arifian backline. "...And... And... And... An- Huilchica with possetion for the Pirate! Huilchica heading with the ball giving his back to the Arifians, he is approaching the defense, he'll probably try a kick, attention Huilchica, HUILCHICAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH!! SCORE!! Huilchica scores the drop goal, its now 3-16!" 79 Minutes in... (10-16) The clock ticked, the last seconds of the game were about to end, and then a good tackle from Safwan Mansor allowed Jazlan possetion, he took advantage of it running as if his life depended on it and avoiding Julio Disquerravía who slipped in his attempt to tackle him, Jazlan then passed to Sonny Bull, who positioned himself to pass to hakim, who took the ball and allowed Bull to quickly track back to pass back to him, allowing for an opening to form and for Bull to score 19 seconds before full time. Arif Muhammad would take the conversion kick, scoring and ending the game on a high note. "Ryxtylopia is winning against Arifiyyah, the match is about to end, but wait! Its Jazlan, running, as fast as a horse! Jazlan Disquerravía, and Disquerravía doesn't catch his pray, Jazlan is still through!! Now its Bull, Bull pass... Hakim! and now Ha- BACK TO BULL! This is a major mistake by the defense and... SCORE!! Arifiyyah Scores! In the Dying minutes of the game Nur Jazlan, Sonny Bull and Hakim Syarie concrete the score at 10-16!" FULL TIME (10-16) After acheiving the last second try and conversion, the Arifians pat themselves on the back and shake hands with the ryxtylopians as the intense game ends 10-16 favoring the Pirate. "And... TIME! RYYYYYYYYYYYXTYLOPIA HAS WON! Arifiyyah, showing their attacking strength and ability to comeback even in when time's not in supply, but it wasn't enough for the mighty orangutan as the Pirate will take the victory in this match!" "Ryxtylopia is on a streak! Now first in the group with 16 points! Followed by Peourouin with 16! Nouveauterra with 12! The Sun Hawks of Zoran with 10! Saint Mark with 9! Arifiyyah with 7!
