The scenic Yeti Mountain Ski Lodge, tucked away in the beautiful Badgerroot Mountains would like to invite everyone to attend the 10th Annual Gelande and Bluegrass Festival February 27th to March 1st. 
Founded in 1947, Yeti Mountain Ski Lodge is a rustic out of the way ski lodge in northern Badgeria.  Known for its excellent powder and majestic snow ghosts, Yeti Mountain is a ski lodge for skiers and boarders of all abilities.  
The festival will bring out our historic Gelände ski jump which measures over 200m; as skiers from all over Polaris will compete.  We will have Big Air competition and freestyle competition in both skiing and snowboarding, as well as our traditional ski competition.  Each day (Thursday-Saturday) will the feature the preliminaries for one event in both men's and women's contest with Sunday dedicated to the championships for all events.  
At Sundown we will have our Gelände Quaff Championships.  Each day we will feature a different category of competitors for the legendary Gelände Quaff.  Men's teams Thursday, Women's teams Friday, Mixed teams Saturday, and Calling All Wooks on Sunday.  The competition will be fierce and messy!
Each night will bring world class bluegrass bands to the Yeti Mountain Ski Lodge.  We will have local opening acts Thursday through Saturday with featured bands shredding until the wee hours.  Thursday night will feature Delbert Earth and Spoon Band and Badgerly award winner Willy Strings.  Friday will have Frozen Oklahoma and The Soggy Bottom Boys.  Saturday Old and in the Way w/Ft Merle Garcia followed by Merle Garcia and Waylon Grismon.  Sunday is a real treat as Lambeau Leap and Greensky Bluegrass will close out the festival.  There will be plenty of musical collaborations along the way.  VIP specials guests will be playing in the VIP warming tent throughout the day! 
Local food trucks and restaurants will be selling food all festival long.  Yeti Mountain Distillery will be having tastings of their fine whiskey and whiskey products.  Many fine Badgerroot Breweries will be represented at the festival as well selling beer from morning until the early morning.

A senior official in Fuentana's Ministry of Foreign Affairs has confirmed that Fuentana and Sensorland will shortly formalize the Fuentano-Sensorian Alliance. 
Speaking on background, the official noted that Sensorland and Fuentana have a long history of trade and mutual aid that has helped secure the Barry Sea and the Strait of the Sea Dragon as a safe and viable sea route for a number of friendly nations for over a century. In addition, the official recalled Sensorland's help during the Island War 150 years ago, an act that helped protect Fuentana's sovereignty from an ambitious neighbor.
"This simply formalizes and renews our longstanding friendship with the leaders and people of Sensorland," they stated. "It was really a gem of an idea by (Sensorland Coordinator) Joe Krantor. Maybe it is his swan song. With the way that Friendly Republic has supported us, we want to acknowledge that we would do the same in a heartbeat. And in any case, it helps put our small nation on the map."
When asked whether this will have negative repercussions on the discussed Free Trade agreement, the official stated, "I can only see positive outcomes from this. We've generally favored mutually beneficial policies. But for sure, it will require everyone at the table to listen to the concerns and contributions of both our nations." 
Representatives from Baron Comte von Fontaine's office, and from the Prime Minister's office did not respond to a request for comment, nor did any representatives from Sensorland's government. However, The Fount's staff noted several late meetings involving representatives from the Sensorland Consulate at the Brunnenschloss, the Royal Palace, as well as several high-level meetings in Fort Triumph, the capital of Sensorland.

Dear all,
When I started my nation and signed up on the forum, I was a little intimidated since it was clear that there are some long-time players here. Sorry for not posting sooner! It's also been a bit of a learning curb. It took me time to understand RMB etiquette with things like double posting. 
I am Fuentana and I have been lightly spamming our RMB with puns and Haikus with some regularity, so this might be a bit of a delayed and unnecessary intro for some. It's been a lot of fun getting more involved over the last few months. I'm looking forward to more chuckles through the region's snark, wordplay, and RP. 

But I do want to note that I'll be posting Haikus here in the Library and Coffee Shop section of our forum, as well as various RP stuff as I learn them. Probably a decent amount of my RP contributions (if valid; I'm still learning my way in these parts) will be cultural in nature, playing on some of my real life interests.

So I hope you'll visit the library from time to time with a cup of coffee in hand (or a dram of whisky) to see what the poetically just people of Fuentana are writing. Cheers!

I just moved to the West Pacific to reside and hope I get to meet some new nations. My last region was Balder which didn't do much for me. I landed in West Pacific previously and helped out on Zombie Day as best as I could and was very fun, but moved on, and after awhile, I wanted to come back. I found it friendly here.
