Bhang Bhang Duc Posted July 28, 2014 Posted July 28, 2014 Hey Elegarth, less than a month before the new Doctor gets his first run in the TARDIS.. August 23rd on the Beeb Beeb Ceeb.
Elegarth Posted July 29, 2014 Author Posted July 29, 2014 I am both excited and worried... What if he doesn't makes it? What if I hate it? This same thing happened with Smith, but he was so crazy to being with that I felt back like in Classic times without actually being the same... Is hard to be a Whovian man
Tweedy Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 The new Doctor hails from Glasgow, so be prepared for some head-butting, flying objects and friendly banter embellished with the liberal use of the "f" word!
Darkesia Posted August 5, 2014 Posted August 5, 2014 Is this an appropriate time to admit that I didn't like the Smith version of The Doctor? Will I be vilified and chastized?
Elegarth Posted August 13, 2014 Author Posted August 13, 2014 Smith is my daughter's favorite. My little girl's favorite too. But I like Eccleston more from the new ones, and from the classic ones, Baker.
Westwind Posted August 13, 2014 Posted August 13, 2014 Yeah, I was always a Baker fan myself, but Pertwee grew on me too. I did like Eccleston also.
Elegarth Posted August 19, 2014 Author Posted August 19, 2014 So, where is Dark? Why isn't Dark welcoming me more?
Darkesia Posted August 19, 2014 Posted August 19, 2014 I'm hiding behind the curtains. Pretend you don't see me.
Elegarth Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 What NP posted is exactly what I thought would have happened... I still can see you Dark >_>
Elegarth Posted August 20, 2014 Author Posted August 20, 2014 Wait...I made it to your signature???? /me feels special
Elegarth Posted August 21, 2014 Author Posted August 21, 2014 Well, it could be worse. I could be next to Paulo Coelho j/k
Intelligent Holograms Posted August 23, 2014 Posted August 23, 2014 Elegarth, you've got to tell us what you thought of the new Doctor! Don't know when it airs where everyone is so I'll hold back on the spoilers.
Elegarth Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Well, I overall liked it. He has darker undertones than previous versions, more sinister... Think of them a little bit like 10ths final days, when he saves a woman who then suicides... We do not had the chance to dig deeper into his nature, since half of the chapter he is still playing "confused" because of the regeneration, but he seems to be curious and quick to get in trouble, which would make him interesting of course. I also liked the fact that the overall arc has already been placed in motion since chapter 1, so we have something to look forward while each adventure happens
