Greater Butstadte is a Socialist federation of 5 states, the states are Semi-republics with their own central government that controls their own state, the federal government oversees the states, they manage the federal programs like the Federal police and deal with federal laws. The federal government is a presidential republic with a president and vice president, with the Congress as the legislator with the House of states and House of Commons as the upper and lower house.

Years ago, Greater Butstadte was a colony which was used for logging, many slaves from other colonies were sent to the logging camps in the colony which brought many diseases that killed many of the indigenous people. A populist slave revolt started in the inner parts of the colony and succeeded, they formed the United Butstadte kingdoms, but the colonial militias ended the new nation before it could become a threat. Another populist slave revolt started but at the coastal city, this was to prevent the colonial militias from getting resources and troops from its parent nation, the slave revolt had gained many grounds and was able to take control of the entire colony. The Kingdom of Greater Butstadte was formed.

The Greater Butstadte kingdom was established, with the leader of the revolt's family as the monarch, the monarch had implemented much legislation that benefited the nation, then the Monarch created a constitution that pretty much made the kingdom an absolute monarch. The monarch had implemented laws that benefited them, this went on for, with dissenters being crushed. A socialist protest had started in the capital city, while the protest was crushed and their members arrested, this caused a domino effect that caused the military to turn on the monarchy and for the monarchy to be dissolved, the Socialist Federal Republic of Greater Butstadte was formed with the original members who were arrested brought back.

The economy Greater Butstadte economy is socialist but unlike other socialist nations who rely on a planned economy, Greater Butstadte allows the market to do its thing, to make it more efficient, they allowed Worker cooperatives and small family owned businesses to run with only crucial industries like the train industry to be state or federal owned, they have anti-monopoly and intervene when a cooperative or business starts crushing its competition. This makes them liked more in capitalistic nations compared to most socialist nations. The Tourism (primarily the forest, fashion, and beach tourism), Retail, and Handcrafted furniture are the dominant industries, but dominant industry depends on the state's industry focus. The nation is somewhat poor, but it has a growing economy that's not slowing down, and it's richer than some socialist nations.

While the board collaborates on all major decisions, the public also has a say, with the power to vote on issues and elect or impeach board members if they feel their interests are not represented. Tourism, and raw products such as coconuts/copra, aloe vera, dragon fruit, pineapples, and sea salt form key industries, with pearl jewelry being probably the most profitable. The financial scene however is fairly productive as the Doyan Islands often act as a tax haven for millionaires and their yachts. Large resorts and their casinos and restaurants are the biggest employers and help separate guests from their money.

A couple sentences about your nation: Kikuyat is a nation in South Eastern Nur. Its name comes from the native Kikuyatan people. The small port territory was inhabited by the Kikuyatans for hundreds of years before colonists established a port on the peninsula in Kikuyat. Colonists typically used the small colony as a kind of rest stop on the journey around Nur where sailors could resupply. While not as wealthy as trade merchant nations like Qyr, the Kikuyat territory became somewhat prosperous, trading with sailors who stopped at the port during their journey. While many of the native Kikuyatans kept their ways as nomadic people living in the Eastern mountains and Southern Coast, others began mixing into the colonists' ports, trading with them to gain new tools for fishing, hunting, and more trading.
