Try making a status on the main page? It hasn't popped up for me, and I just tested again. Didn't appear.

Sorry, you mean to use the editor inside the Sidebar....no, that doesn't work and I don't know why.  It's not a permissions setting,  all status settings are enabled for all groups, so it's specific to the sidebar addition.  Those sidebar items are plugins and components of the fourm (off by default, I added them for users enjoyment), so they do not necessarily all work together with the rest of the forum software.  I can remove it entirely though if you'd like

The forum software is designed for users to use the "+ Create" option at the top of the forum to create a new topic or status.

It's fine, just was a bit confused when none of mine were popping up. Without it I wouldn't notice peoples statuses at all.

Is it possible to lock the Embassy Row section so that only Guardians can start new threads? An unmasked Ambassador from Europe just opened his own embassy.

Just 'cause he opened his own, doesn't mean you have to recognize it.  Just lock it and tell him to make the appropriate application. The newer generation is terrible about reading instructions.

True, but technically since Europe has an embassy with TWP and I would have accepted it anyway so I'll let it pass. Next time I'll lock it. Sounds like time for me to start a new embassy request thread with the instructions posted clearly at the top (again). ;-)

Can I have a subforum under Office of Foreign Affairs called "Inactive Embassies"?

I'd like to move some of the older, unused embassies there to make Embassy Row a little easier to navigate.

Usually means it's been filtered as spam at some point.  For example with my email, some emails get caught by the domain host's spam filters before it ever gets to my own filters.

Then there are the blacklists...
