I show up as mafmiller on the Forum (mostly because I'm a loser and thought I should enter a login!). Can that be changed to Saint Mark, which would be linked to my primary nation, The Holy Principality of Saint Mark? Is that how it works?

I don't think that there is any link between this board and NS. I could have called myself ShillyShally BananaHammock on here and it wouldn't make a difference. I used the same name as my NS nation so people would know who I was.
