Giovanniland got a reaction from Nox in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
Good evening to all! This is your host of the Sports Report, Numerio Dellio-Oliverde, with the news that Giovanniland has successfully advanced from the group stage of the World Cup of Football. It was tough, but we've made it! Huzzah! We'll be covering the results of the last two matches played by our football team and how they went.
    Matchday 4 - Giovanniland 0-1 United Adaikes (Halftime: 0-1)
The fourth game of our team was against United Adaikes, featuring a slightly different roster due to the expulsion of Manuella Giakobo in the previous matchday, replaced by Teodoro Sonserina. The first goal of the match came in the 21st minute, scored by Adaikesian forward Sonya Kynaston in a counterattack, after Giovanniland's striker Gustavo Zapata had a good chance to score but the shot was caught by the opposing goalkeeper Abby Kidd.
There were good chances to score from both sides, and aside from the goal for United Adaikes, the match seemed fairly even. Sadly, their defense was effective and stopped any scoring attempts from Team Giovanniland, although our three strikers nevertheless had a fair performance and our defense also improved after the goal that went through.
The match once more came to a heated moment when Lorentio Santo-Ferrari was the target of a grave foul during the Adaikesian defense area while he had the possession of the ball, and thus Giovanniland was awarded a penalty. Lorentio himself took the penalty, but unfortunately it hit the crossbar. This was near the ending of the match, and soon the whistle blew to mark the final score: Giovanniland 0-1 United Adaikes, the third loss in a row and putting the team in a delicate situation.
    Matchday 5 - Giovanniland 2-1 Peourouin (Halftime: 0-1)
    Goals: Lorentio Santo-Ferrari (52'), Matteo Ventomar (90'+2')
For the last matchday, Giovanniland came into the match needing a win to advance, and furthermore requiring at least one of Sekiya or Teralyon to lose their matches, since they were in direct competition with our team for the third and fourth spots. The match was against Peourouin, another team that could still qualify, so stakes were high.
For most of the first half the match stayed goalless, with midfielder Gabriella Orfeo bringing the strongest threat to the Peouroun defensive area in the 15th minute, but the shot was diverted by their side's defense player Voldymyd Gorun. Near the end, the Peouroun forward Odeyh Ussrsaii brought a dangerous attack into the Giovannilandian defensive area that was successfully defended, but in the rebound, their fellow teammate Sayu Aktar opened the score, at the 42nd minute.
During halftime, Giovanniland was then the last-placed team in the group, and the moment called for change. Coach Hettor Ottavio-Linare then made some adjustments in the second half, making the team further focused on offense by replacing Klementina de Abreo-Florino with another striker, Tarutio Lukulli, who got to play his first World Cup match as part of the national team, and in the midfield switching Gabriella Orfeo for Mara Erdene-Aruna.
This proved to be successful, as the momentum successfully resulted in a goal by Lorentio Santo-Ferrari, who redeemed himself after missing the penalty in the previous match. The task was still not completed, however, as the team stayed at fifth place behind Teralyon due to the goal differential. Both teams needed a goal, as a draw would benefit neither, which meant that the atmosphere in the Istadio Gral. Tavara Dipartí continued animated, both Giovannilandian and Peouroun fans cheering for their own teams and the strikers attempting every way possible to break the deadlock.
It seemed that nothing would come from subsequent attacks, and the match would stay as a draw. Both teams had beautiful attempts to score, but both defenses were also working perfectly. With both teams on the brink of elimination, when all seemed lost, Giovanniland's striker Matteo Ventomar found the right angle to get the ball past the Peouroun goalkeeper Jakub Ostatna, and score the second and final goal of our team in the stoppage time of the second half. This goal came from an assistance by the young Tarutio Lukulli, successfully making a pivotal impact in his first World Cup match.
The stadium erupted with cheers, but waited, as three more tense minutes were still left in the clock. Then, at 90'+5', the final whistle sounded and fans celebrated the nation's qualification at last, in what is perhaps one of the most suspenseful and breathtaking ways to qualify. Team Giovanniland barely made it in, securing qualification in fourth place of the group through a comeback win, while Teralyon dropped to fifth place, a bad day for their fans since their team had just lost to United Adaikes over at Istadio Rio Bianco.
Now, the next match stands to be a tough challenge, as Team Giovanniland meets defending champion Nieubasria in the round of 16, their team having qualified as leader of group C. Twice the teams have played before, although none in the World Cup—first Nieubasria won 6-3 in the gold medal match of the I Summer Esferiad at Saint-Josalyn. Then on the following edition, the II Summer Esferiad here at Quoriv and Kharventhin, Giovanniland won 5-4 on penalties after a 2-2 draw in the semifinals!
Coach Hettor stated that they hope for a good match nevertheless, and that our team should perform the best that they can no matter who the opponent is. Rest assured, Giovannilandians can at least celebrate that our team has escaped the threat of group stage elimination, which would be unprecedented in national football history, and now will at least equal the two previous World Cups' feat of reaching the round of 16.
That is all from us today, stay tuned for more news from the 3rd World Cup of Football in Ryxtylopia and make sure to be here in our channel to watch the Giovanniland vs. Nieubasria match two days from now!

    27th of November 1423, Ryxenia, Oraiva Road, 11:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M.
It was a cloudy day when the demonstrations begun, between the start of the tournament, the goal was to reach the Istadio Franco Rivalda, most protesters kept silent, and most signs could only read the number 24, the reason was to protest the 24 high-profile reporters and journalists that had gone missing before the tournament had even begun, considering it had been 10 days since it had begun the protesters reasoned it would be symbolic enough.
Many others mainly hidden amongst the crowd however prepared lazers, improvised shields, and proyectiles with their goals being totally different as it was obvious that this demonstration would as per usual be met by police.

By now demonstrations had died down as they had little effect and the tournament was well on its way now, its not like they would change anything and only result in more injuries, but within the crowds of actually peaceful demonstrators many carried improvised weapons, and other stuff to take their anger out on the police, some may have also brought illegal weapons to the fray, but by the time the inevitable clash happened it couldn't be confirmed.
It started like most of the other protests with demonstrators going down a road and after a bit encountering a police barricade, with the police either stopping them or ordering them to disperse, in this case the column just stopped, whilst the police couldn't disperse them with their low numbers at the time.

Stuff started to intensify about 2 hours later when police had pebbles, bottles and other stuff thrown at them, whilst at the same time getting reinforced by more officers and riot-controll vehicles, around 4-5 hours after the start, and with protesters now throwing more lethile proyectiles and the confrontation heating up.
Police started to respond with pepper spray, and paint guns, at this point most of the peaceful demonstrators had dispersed leaving an angry crowd and the police, until a loud BANG was heard around 4:41 P.M. Police thought this was a gun shot and responded with their own fire, not directed at the crowd but to disperse it, this caused panic amongst the demonstrators who rushed down the street with the last molotov coctails thrown at police around this time.
The stampede left around 70 injured, and around 15 in critical condition, by the end of the day deaths had not been reported and the last protesters dispersed by the end of the day, marking an unfortunate end to the wave of world cup protests that had gone throught Ryxtylopia since the tournament was announced.

    28th of November 1423, Ryxenia, Oraiva Road, 8:00 A.M.
Police and cleaning staff worked on cleaning up the road early in the morning, as more reports went to the Department of Internal Security, and they didn't look good, however considering the protests had been dying down it seemed like this would be the last one, several officers had been injured, many with burns or bruises.
However due to the confrontation happening, not in the outskirts of the city but in one of the roads leading to the largest of the venues for the world cup, the Ryxtylopian government  began preparing for a possible media storm ahead.

Fourth time’s the charm (Matchday 4)
In a well-lit studio, news anchor Anna Čea wraps up the previous scheduled segment.
Anna Čea: ... and now, moving onto the sports segment. We're tuning in with our correspondent Juli Orini live from Ryxtylopia. Hello, Juli!
A big screen behind Čea changes graphics and shows news correspondent Juli Orini.
Juli Orini: Hello, Anna! And hello to all Fùtbol fans tuning in right now!
Anna Čea: So, what have the Činni been up to?
Juli Orini: Things are looking up for them, as today the National Team earned its first three points! After drawing two matches against Larxia and Alchera, and losing one to Overthinkers, the Činni have won their match against fellow Nurans, Kalmach. I’m joined by head coach Jan Košis to comment on the team’s performance.
The TV feed is now focused on Juli Orini, found just outside of the football pitch, next to Košis. In the background, several fans sitting in the stands are waving familiar Nuran flags, and a couple of bright red flares fill the air.
A small graphic detailing the outcome of the match is seen under Orini and Košis.

Jan Košis: Hello everyone, glad to be here.
Juli Orini: The team seems to have finally broken the deadlock, so to speak, as 75% of Rivalfiume’s overall goals came all from this match.
Jan Košis: Indeed. We’ve been working very hard on goalscoring, especially from “golden occasions” such as set pieces, and it’s working.
Juli Orini: Today is a perfect example of that: let’s talk about Čentini’s absolute screamer! What a debut for him!
Jan Košis: Ah, that was a well worked goal! Super-Substitute Čentini scored a beautiful goal in the first half from a free kick, rocketing the ball in the top corner in the 2nd minute of added time.
Juli Orini: Well, the goal was absolutely stunning, but not-so-stunning was the reason the free kick was given. Is Anečeti going to recover quickly?
Jan Košis: I’m afraid that Anečeti is going to miss some games, as he’s been badly clattered by an opposition player. To be honest, I’m quite shocked that the player wasn’t sent off with a straight red.
Juli Orini: Let’s hope that he recovers soon...
Despite Kalmach getting a goal back in the 50th minute, the Team didn’t let us down and scored two of their own. What a relief!
Jan Košis: It’s nice to see that the players weren’t let down by the temporary draw and were willing to fight until the end. I’m super proud of them and their superb teamwork.
Juli Orini: Looking at the next fixtures, Rivalfiume is going to face Ryxtylopia, the hosts themselves, who are in a good run of form and have already qualified to the knock-out stages. What’s the plan?
Jan Košis: We have to defend our points advantage as much as we can. Both Alchera and Kalmach have to face tough opposition, like us, and if we lose against Ryxtylopia and they win, it would go down to goal difference. That’s why, if we secure a draw, we would mathematically qualify for the rounds of 16. That’s the plan. As for the formation, some changes have to be made due to injuries or recent fatigue.
A graphic is shown, titled "Most probable formation, according to analysts".

Juli Orini: Thank you for your time, coach. Good luck for the next game, let’s hope for a favorable result!
    Jan Košis: Thank you, Juli!
Juli Orini: Fluvians watching at home, don’t forget to tune in next time, as the next match potentially decides whether the Činni make it out of the group stages for the first time ever. Thank you for watching!
The TV switches back to the studio, as Anna Čea begins the weather segment.
Anna Čea: As for the weather, there’s a high chance of showers in all of the Estre Nort department…

The team shows their solidarity by visibly agreeing to what is being said.
Leo Messy: "We've been through a lot together, and I believe in this team more than ever. But listen up, we can't stop here. We've set our sights on this World Cup, and our goal remains unchanged - to lift that trophy!"
Leo Messy: "We've shown what we're capable of today, but there's more to come. This victory should fuel our fire, our hunger to push harder, train harder, and play harder. We've come too far to just settle. This time, we're not just aiming to compete; we're here to win!"
The team responds to that with resounding cheers and applause.
Leo Messy: "Remember, it's not just about one player or one moment. It's about us, as a team, giving our all, every single minute on that pitch. Let's keep our heads high, work together, and make every opportunity count. We've got the talent, the spirit, and the heart to achieve greatness. So, let's go out there and make history!"

Teralyon Faces Setback Against Unbeaten Cambria: Coach Looks Ahead to Pivotal Match Against United Adaikes
    Anja Suremic, Teralyon Sports Analyst
RYXTYLOPIA — Teralyon's hopes for World Cup glory took a hit as they suffered a 4-1 defeat against their northern neighbors, the undefeated Cambria team, in a high-stakes clash at the 3rd World Cup hosted in Ryxtylopia. The match showcased the formidable prowess of the Cambrian squad, now boasting an impressive 4-win streak in the tournament.
The atmosphere in the stadium was charged with anticipation, but Cambria's relentless offensive play proved too much for Teralyon's defense. Cambria took an early lead, scoring two goals in the first half, and continued their dominance with two additional goals in the second half. In the post-match press conference, Teralyon's coach, Isabella Mirovic, candidly addressed the team's performance. "Cambria played exceptionally well, and we faced a tough challenge. We'll analyze the match, learn from our mistakes, and focus on our upcoming games. The World Cup is a marathon, not a sprint, and we're determined to bounce back stronger," she asserted.
The defeat against Cambria has heightened the significance of Teralyon's upcoming match against United Adaikes at the Istadio Rio Biancol. United Adaikes, a close trading partner and friend in the Mille-Mer, has showcased a strong performance in the current World Cup, securing three wins and facing just one loss.
Sports analysts are now emphasizing the pivotal nature of the upcoming clash, as Teralyon seeks to regain momentum and secure a spot in the knockout stages. The Istadio Rio Biancol showdown is not only crucial for Teralyon's World Cup campaign but also holds diplomatic significance given the close ties between the two nations.
Jedro Milovic, shared his insights on the upcoming match. "United Adaikes has a well-balanced team with a mix of seasoned players and emerging talents. Teralyon needs to bring their A-game and find a balance between offence and defence to secure a positive result. This match is make-or-break for Teralyon's aspirations in the World Cup," Milovic commented during a televised sports analysis.
The clash at Istadio Rio Biancol is anticipated to be a fiercely contested battle, with both teams aiming to secure a coveted victory. As Teralyon seeks redemption on the international stage, the nation's football enthusiasts will be on the edge of their seats, hoping for a triumphant performance that propels their team further into World Cup glory.

The Dagda Triumphantly Sails Down Memory Lane, Reigniting Maritime Pride in Teralyon

    Sasha Devoric - Tarajevo Reporter
TARAJEVA — In a spectacle reminiscent of the naval prowess that once defined the Tararja Kingdom, the majestic wooden trireme, aptly named "The Dagda," has completed its coastal tour along the Teralyon shoreline. This painstakingly crafted vessel, mirroring the ancient triremes that were the backbone of Terarja's formidable navy, has not only enthralled onlookers but has also sparked a newfound passion for the sea among Teralyon's citizens.
The Dagda, an homage to the historic maritime heritage of Teralyon, sailed proudly up and down the coastline, evoking nostalgia for a bygone era when the Terarja Kingdom's naval might commanded respect and admiration. The wooden trireme, funded by the navy and meticulously built with an acute attention to detail, has become a symbol of Teralyon's maritime legacy and a bridge connecting the present to the storied past.
Anecdotally currently in service in the Teralyon Navy, The Dagda's coastal tour has captured the imagination of locals who have marvelled at the craftsmanship and historical significance of the vessel. Many citizens were seen lining the shores, cheering and expressing a renewed sense of pride in their maritime heritage.
"I never thought I'd see the day when a trireme sailed our waters again," exclaimed Darko Treboski, a lifelong fisherman of Sunca. "It's a breathtaking reminder of the strength and might our ancestors possessed. I wish we still had fleets like those."
The Dagda's journey has also sparked conversations about the importance of preserving and celebrating Teralyon's maritime history. Local historians and maritime enthusiasts joined the festivities, providing historical context and sharing stories of the Terarja Kingdom's naval exploits.
"The Dagda serves as a living testament to the rich maritime legacy that Teralyon is built upon," noted local historian, Brajo Lijivic. "It's a call to cherish and safeguard our seafaring traditions for future generations."
In addition to rekindling a sense of pride, The Dagda's coastal tour has ignited discussions about the potential for revitalizing Teralyon's maritime culture. Calls for the establishment of maritime museums, educational programs, and community events centered around seafaring traditions have gained momentum.
The Teralyon Navy, recognizing the positive impact of The Dagda's journey, expressed enthusiasm for future initiatives aimed at celebrating and preserving the region's maritime heritage. The prospect of community engagement programs and events that showcase Teralyon's connection to the sea is on the horizon.
As The Dagda returns to port, its sails filled with the winds of nostalgia and hope for the future, Teralyon stands at the cusp of a maritime revival, where the echoes of ancient triremes resonate with a new generation eager to embrace their seafaring roots.

    Introduction
For the first part of this Travel Guide, before delving deeper into each of the sixteen regions, we have decided to start with an overview of them. This introduction features a description and some statistics for each region, and the regions are also listed here in the same order they will appear in the guide, starting with the most populous region Giovannia Magna, as mentioned in the preface.
(OOC: The images for each region are AI-generated).
    Giovannia Magna
Population: 3,591,220 Area: 13,061 km² Density: 275/km² Capital: Giovannia (pop. 1,563,119) Notable cities: Vinikiana (pop. 240,927), Raffellara (pop. 228,012), Mattenia (pop. 154,225) Giovannia Magna is the heart of the country, its most populous and most densely populated region. The national capital Giovannia lies at the central part of the region, near the confluence of the Keleste River with its tributary, the Terente. An area of more recent population, as the city was built as a planned new capital for the Giovannian Empire, the region stands today as a testament of the nation's development. Giovannia offers a range of historical and cultural attractions such as the old Imperial Palace and the National Museum side by side with very futuristic buildings, and beyond the capital, other cities within its metropolitan area of 3 million inhabitants are also well worth the visit.

    Lavanda Prima
Population: 2,877,251 Area: 18,686 km² Density: 154/km² Capital: Uryde (pop. 509,819) Notable cities: Quorivo (pop. 262,144), Dazane (pop. 181,632), Kyene (pop. 150,825) The cradle of the ancient Lavandulan civilization, Lavanda Prima is one of the main travel destinations of Giovanniland. Its capital Uryde was once the capital of the Lavandulan Empire, under its old name of Lavandula, and retains several historical buildings from antiquity, the city of Quorivo is known for the powerful medieval duchy that bears its name and for being one of the two II Summer Esferiad host cities, and more to the south, Kyene is the birthplace of Violetism and a site of pilgrimage featuring the largest Violetist temple in Esferos. Furthermore, Lavanda Prima is also notable for its beautiful and popular beaches on the northern coasts, and for its two famous festivals, the Lavender Festival and Violet Carnival.

    Lavanda Sekunda
Population: 1,260,934 Area: 22,342 km² Density: 56/km² Capital: Kastellavando (pop. 116,205) Notable cities: Rivomonte (pop. 104,333), Pelkarma (pop. 70,822), Lyogalla (pop. 52,830) Lavanda Sekunda offers the feeling of Lavandulan history and culture just like Lavanda Prima, but also a respite from the multiple large and bustling cities of its northern neighbor. The region name is a historical reference to the fact the Lavandulan civilization first grew near the coastal lowlands to the north, and then expanded southwards during the Lavandulan Empire to the hilly areas that today compose Lavanda Sekunda. Some of its attractions are its beautiful broadleaf forests and multiple Violetist temples throughout the countryside; as well as the area to the south where the contact between the Lavandulan and Abrentan civilizations happened during the Middle Ages, home to the first capital of the Giovannian Empire, Rivomonte.

    Verdiante
Population: 755,901 Area: 21,968 km² Density: 34/km² Capital: Valsereno (pop. 81,559) Notable cities: Gile (pop. 54,270), Pradobeno (pop. 50,245), Amarena (pop. 39,522) Verdiante is a region known for its natural wonders. It contains a majority of the Ameno River's basin, a significant river that marks the southern section of the border with Blue Bubble, with many beautiful lakes, valleys and waterfalls. The capital Valserene is the starting point of many itineraries that traverse the region, from the western plains to the northern highlands, passing through numerous smaller, charming cities with a calm atmosphere. These itineraries are a notable example of eco-tourism in Giovanniland, showing the region's commitment to preserving its natural beauty. A known landmark of the region is the Abrio Peak, the highest point of Giovaura, near the small town of Altario.

    Primolido
Population: 3,141,592 Area: 12,376 km² Density: 254/km² Capital: Porto Violeto (pop. 1,004,153) Notable cities: Annavilla (pop. 305,746), Amorante (pop. 213,504), Kampobello (pop. 147,069) Primolido is Giovanniland's third most populous region, known for its beautiful coasts, rich culture, and very advanced development. The region's name pays homage to being the first lands settled by the Abrentan civilization, which then expanded throughout southwestern Lavender Island and laid the basis for Giovanniland's modern history together with the Lavandulans. The capital Porto Violeto is the nation's most important port and also a hub of tourism, featuring several famous waterfronts and promenades. Other cities such as Annavilla and Amorante are popular for their many beaches and nightlife, while the northern part of the region features some off the beaten path locations and the Isla Abrenta, a major island.

Porto Violeto, Giovanniland's second largest city.
    Akallia
Population: 1,599,678 Area: 19,987 km² Density: 80/km² Capital: Salvoregno (pop. 162,087) Notable cities: Lurtone (pop. 120,631), Sonserina (pop. 103,715), Lastrilla (pop. 75,963) Often overlooked, the region of Akallia is not only a gateway between Giovannia Magna and Primolido, but also a very unique travel destination on its own. Settled in the early and middle periods (95 BF-349 AF) of the Abrentan Classical Era, this region offers some of the best preserved castles and villages of that civilization. Its capital and other large cities still show strong traits of the medieval Abrentan architecture and culture to this day, learning to conciliate modern development with their rich history. One can also visit smaller cities where these storied buildings are still nearly intact, the inhabitants offer warm hospitality, and the streets tell tales of a bygone era.

The region features plains to the west, notable for being one of the areas in Giovanniland with the highest amount of farmland, and more mountainous territory to the east, which is sparsely populated. Some notable destinations include the two largest cities Tommasia and Uprino, often the first stops in a trip in this region, the iconic city of Oddolino surrounded by many hills and known for its beautiful buildings, and the famous waterfalls of the Gratioso River, a tourist attraction on the Giovannilandian-Minsunese border.

Many traditional meals from Giovanniland originated in this region, such as the world-famous pizza and the many recipes featuring seafood. Other notable destinations include Portovini, aptly named for the vineyards near the city, and Karlopole, a city of more recent settlement which is located near the Minsunese border and offers a distinct blend of cultures.

There are several itineraries that explore the rural lands of Terra Violeta, with the aforementioned valleys and mountains.

In the coastline of Altana, golden sands stretch as far as the eye can see, and some of the most famous beaches in the entire country can be found here. The capital Islamagna is located on the archipelago and developed from a medieval fort called Forte Giovanni, one of the earliest conquered areas by the Giovannian Empire outside Lavender Island, therefore it has plenty of historical places to visit. Other interesting destinations are on the mainland, like the popular coastal cities Bayabella and Potestana, as well as Oddabrio (Altan-qota), the historical capital of the Ardala Khanate.

The capital L'Apertura is located in the main mountain pass that connects the lands north and south of the mountains. It's also a common starting point on tours to explore the vast mountainous region, while the small villages throughout the way are serene and idyllic places to stop by between the large hiking trails of an itinerary. If one is daring enough, an unique experience is to visit the Violeta Peak, the highest point of Giovanniland.

Giovanniland reacted to Overthinkers in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
[The “Special Report” animation gives way to BrownNewsTV’s small news desk. A solitary young man, wearing a tight suit with no tie and with a very short haircut, looking 15 at best, is anchoring. BNTV subscribers know this to be Dean Howell, one of the few faces of the media channel.]
Dean: Good evening, comrades. I’m Dean Howell. Thank you for joining us on BrownNewsTV.
Dean: The third Football World Cup is underway in Ryxtylopia, and for the second time, the Overthinkers National Team has qualified. Despite public pressure to boycott, due to civil rights concerns in Ryxtylopia, the team has chosen to participate.
Dean: How much the players stand to make from this event has not been disclosed, not to mention the millions in corporate sponsorships keeping the national team afloat. The sports team is a glorified billboard—a publicity stunt that makes its money from big business, not from any legitimate work.
Dean: The masses of Ryxtylopia are currently engaging in peaceful protest against the World Cup, and are being met with police brutality. The state of Ryxtylopia is keeping a very tight cap on media access and revealing the reality in which the majority of its people live. Mainstream media in Overthinkers itself has been reticent to address the civil rights abuses on which the apparent wealth of Ryxtylopia is secretly built. But what’s new?
Dean: Instead, it seems that the only “behind-the-scenes” story that any media outlet is covering concerns former player, Lucille Lyons. After the national team was confirmed to be World Cup-bound, Lyons suddenly resigned from the team. More than that, Lyons seemingly disappeared, going dark on all social media, and family refusing to reveal her whereabouts.
Dean: This apparent spectacle has served as a great distraction from the real issues surrounding the tournament, and the mainstream media is eating it up. “What is she hiding?” they want to know. And apparently harassing people and their families over personal choices is okay if you have a camera. But what’s new?
Dean: Well, some of those questions are about to be addressed, though they may not get the answers they’re looking for. Joining us virtually this evening, in her first appearance since the beginning of the World Cup—welcome Miss Lucille Lyons.
[The screen is split between the studio camera and Lucille’s video. Lucille gives a forced smile. She is clearly using a low-end webcam in a nondescript, poorly lit location.]
Dean: Thank you for agreeing to join us, Miss Lyons.
    Lucille: Please, call me Lucille.
Dean: Fair enough. Now, for our viewers, let me make clear that per her request, we will not be revealing Lucille’s location at this time.
Lucille: Yes, I do not feel comfortable with that information getting out. But I needed to start setting the record straight on a few things.
[Lucille’s delivery is neutral, almost mechanical.]
Dean: Precisely. You are afraid of retaliation from the team, right?
Lucille: That, but even more so from “fans”. You’ve seen the social media posts. Like, apparently I’m a traitor to the country now or something. What kind of nationalist nonsense is that?
Dean: And the negative response to your resignation has only reinforced the reasons for it in the first place.
Lucille: Yes! The bastards have never actually cared. One minute you’re the hero, the next minute you’re the zero. I’d call it an absurd standard, if there were even a standard to begin with.
Dean: Did you get similar treatment from the actual team?
Lucille: Yes. I always felt like I was being treated as a second-class citizen among them.
Dean: Was it because you were a reserve?
Lucille: No, the other reserves didn’t seem to notice. That’s just it, there wasn’t an explanation! There was absolutely nothing in what I did, on or off the pitch, that deserved being slighted.
[Now that she’s gotten warmed up, Lucille now looks appropriately distraught, maybe even too appropriately. Dean, a veteran of numerous online flamewars, expertly continues to tee her up.]
Dean: You were also opposed to the selection of Ryxtylopia’s bid, correct?
Lucille: Of course! The living conditions there are just ghastly, and here they are trying to put on a show and pretend they’re somebody. That they deserve the attention.
Dean: Just not the kind of attention that you and I know they should be getting.
    Lucille: Yeah, that.
[For the first time, Lucille looks like she was thrown a curveball, even by such a seemingly innocuous statement.]
Lucille: But yeah, when it was confirmed we were going to Ryxtylopia, that was the last straw for me.
Dean: Understandable. Let’s shift gears back to your personal life. Tell us about some of the backlash you’ve received since your resignation.
Lucille: Awful. I knew it was going to be bad, so I have been avoiding social media, but my family has shown me some of the posts. Someone was burning posters and magazines with me on the cover! And another person was caught spying on my house in Bellman!
Lucille: And when they couldn’t find me, they hunted down my family. Like I was a criminal! My mother is a respectable woman; she served on the Brunnes Administrative Board for many years. And my sister has had to shut herself up inside her house because of the press.
    Dean: Truly terrible.
[Before Dean can proceed, a distant chime is heard through Lucille’s feed. A high-pitched, tinny melody. She scrambles to hit her mute, but unmutes a moment later as the sound fades.]
Dean: Lucille, before we let you go, what can our viewers do to support you in this trying time?
Lucille: Just keep spreading the truth. The national football team is a toxic organization, and the world federation are greedy bastards who will sell out to the highest bidder. And the people who dare to question it get treated like this.
Dean: Heard and understood, Lucille. I won’t keep you any longer.
    Lucille: Goodbye.
Dean: There you have it, comrades. The truth about the Overthinkers National Football Team and how it treats its...lesser celebrities. Tune in on Sunday for our regular weekly broadcast, where we unpack the impact of Dalimbari aggression in Polaris.
Dean: From all of us at BrownNewsTV, I’m Dean Howell. Good night.

Giovanniland reacted to Clarkov in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
Clarkson, Hammond and May had all been through a fair bit. Uncovering hidden Ryxtylopian slums, meeting the Tsar's security and doing surprisingly well in The Genesis, it was time for a bit of relaxation...
    D. Handpump: You said this would be relaxing.
    J. Clarkson: It is.
[May is up a ladder on the roof of the building where the trio is staying. Clarkson holds back laughter.]
    D. Handpump: I don't like it.
    R. Hammond: It's just a ladder! It's a simple enough thing to operate, climb it!
    D. Handpump: Not if you're me, it's not.
[Clarkson looks toward the camera The Stig is holding and the viewers beyond it.]
    J. Clarkson: Now I should point out to the viewers that James is scared of heights. Like, really scared.
    D. Handpump: How many of Clarkov's art pieces are up here?
    R. Hammond: One.
    D. Handpump: One?!
    R. Hammond: Yes, a drawing.
    D. Handpump: Just leave it!
    R. Hammond: Furu's bodyguard will shoot us, mate, we can't.
    D. Handpump: Wha- Just because that expressionless confusing disabled bastard is hanging around in there blabbing about dandelions or something, we have to retrieve their piece of paper?
    J. Clarkson: Furu never asked for this, Esmeralda made us do it after she found out you had misplaced it.
    D. Handpump: ...I was sort of hoping you didn't know that.
    R. Hammond: Yeah, we gotta do it, no choice, so get up here and get on with it.
    D. Handpump: Hammond, I... I- I hate... I hate heights, you know I do. I hate ladders, I hate bodyguards.
    J. Clarkson: You got on just fine with Vanya, Handpump.
    D. Handpump: Very funny.
    R. Hammond: Furu's self-appointed bodyguard... don't you think she's being a bit vindictive?
    J. Clarkson: Yes, but what is a fat middle aged man supposed to do?
    R. Hammond: Honestly, this makes me wonder why we don't meet people of other nations often.
    D. Handpump: Well, the last time we did was with Quiyakaso and that ended about as well as you'd expect.
    R. Hammond: Oh yeah.
    J. Clarkson: Uh, guys? I just got the results in, we beat Fujai 2-0.
    R. Hammond: That's good and all, but we need to finish this off.

Giovanniland reacted to Sekiya in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
Zou Liqin, Jiang Yunru & Zhong Dongmei are students at Anzhou Medical University. They share a flat in Yantai City, 20 minutes away from their university by subway. Zou and Jiang are at home.
Liqin: "Hey, Yunru. Are we ordering takeout tonight?"
Yunru: "Why? We have food at home."
Liqin: "It's Sekiya's big game against Cambria, you don't think this is a special occasion?"
Yunru: "Who cares? We've already made it out of the group stages... Plus, everyone's going to be ordering takeout tonight..."
Liqin: "That's true... but we should still watch it! Maybe we can ask Dongmei to get something on her way home..."
Yunru: Sighs "Okay, we can watch it. I was hoping on watching comet garden, but I suppose I can do that another night".
Liqin: Putting his Sekiya Football scarf on "Nice! I'll get some drinks out of the fridge, you message Dongmei."
Yunru: Pulling out his phone "Sure, sure. By the way, we need to finish that game of Cellars and Fellas."
Liqin: Taking several sodas out of the fridge "Yeah... I'm not feeling too great about that game right now..."
Yunru: Typing on his phone "Why? We got so far into it... is it because you failed that saving throw?"
Liqin: "Honestly? Yeah... The Sorcerer fella isn't as fun as I thought it would be, I kind of want to swap to the warlock fella."
Yunru: "Fair enough, maybe we can work something out, but it would be good to finish the campaign... we're 6 hours into that campaign and Dongmei spent a lot of time on the story. Plus, we haven't even cleared out the second cellar yet!"
Liqin: "I suppose. Maybe we can play after the football game!"
Yunru: "Sounds good! By the way, Dongmei replied, she's at Huangjin down the road getting some snacks and instant rice."
Liqin: "Instant rice! That's barely a takeaway... Oh well, I'll accept it. Could you ask her to get some eggs too?"
Yunru: "Sure... I'll ask her now..."

Cellars and Fellas is a popular roleplaying tabletop game in Esferos.
Seven minutes later, Dongmei walks through the door. The game starts in 10 minutes.
Dongmei: "Oh. My. God. I hate the subway when it's busy..."
Liqin: "Welcome home! Why was it busy?"
Dongmei: "Everyone's going to the Anzhou Cloud stadium to watch it on the big screen..."
Yunru: "My Goodness... I can't imagine being in a stadium that big... with all those people..." He shivers.
Liqin: "I think it would be cool!"
    Yunru: "Good for you..."
Dongmei: Putting the food away "Hey, did anyone boil the water?"
Yunru & Liqin look at each other with a guilty expression.
    Yunru & Liqin: "Uhhhh...no..."
Dongmei: Sighs "Trust you men to do anything right..." She jokes.
    Yunru & Liqin: "Sorry..."
Dongmei: "Don't worry, I'll get it going. Yunru, do you want an egg with yours?"
    Yunru: "No thanks..."
    Liqin: "What about me?"
Dongmei: "Liqin, we have lived together for 2 years... I already know how you like your rice".
Liqin: "You're amazing... hey, come watch, Sekiya is about to walk on!"
Yunru: "I wonder who's going to win..."

Giovanniland reacted to Federation of Inner Ryxtylopia in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
    Cleared it Out

The Ryxtylopian team prepared for their final group stage match, so far they were first in the group, and a win would ensure staying on top, as they hadn't gone defeated throught the group stage, their final rival of the groups was Rivalfiume in the Istadio Zapriaca, and if Garravez team held on to the first place spot they would be going up against the 4th placed team in group D, which could be either Dalimbar or Aukera.
Garravez was busy, he so far had a lot of success but some matches that could've also gone better, mainly the opener against Kalmach and the close match with Alchera that the team had in the previous matchday.
As well as this Garravez was still missing Dipartí, who had asked to stay with his mother while she recovered from injuries, meaning Dipartí would potentially miss the next matches or the tournament as a whole, whilst Garravez did have options to replace him he still thought about the protests that caused the whole thing, which had calmed down except for some mainly the 24' movement which was a social movement asking for justice for the 24 journalists gone missing between the world cup got announced in Ryxtylopia and MD1.
Going missing in Ryxtylopia is a term used by the government a lot, and whilst it might sound like someone had gone missing, it was frecuently used to indicate arrest without charges or a warrant by the police, during the Ryxtylopian dictatorship in the 1380's it usually meant someone had been executed again, without charges, the meaning evolved after the fact with Ryxtylopia democratizing but remaining a fairly corrupt authoritarian state.

But for now his focus had to be on the upcomming match where he decided to go back to the 3-5-2 formation the team had used at the start of the tournament, after all the protest movements were something else, he had to focus on the match.

Giovanniland got a reaction from Saint Mark in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]

    Giovannia, the national capital.

The national capital Giovannia lies at the central part of the region, near the confluence of the Keleste River with its tributary, the Terente. Giovannia offers a range of historical and cultural attractions such as the old Imperial Palace and the National Museum side by side with very futuristic buildings, and beyond the capital, other cities within its metropolitan area of 3 million inhabitants are also well worth the visit.

Giovannia offers a range of historical and cultural attractions such as the old Imperial Palace and the National Museum side by side with very futuristic buildings, and beyond the capital, other cities within its metropolitan area of 3 million inhabitants are also well worth the visit.

Population: 738,765 Area: 84,020 km² Density: 9/km² Capital: L'Apertura (pop. 49,512) Notable cities: Monteventi (pop. 30,190), Pando (pop. 22,246), Larone (pop. 19,121)  Last but not least, Kordelleria is the largest and also most sparsely populated region of Giovanniland, dominated by the majestic peaks and tranquil valleys of the Giovandolian Mountains, and home to coniferous forests not found anywhere else in the country.

Giovanniland got a reaction from Zoran in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]

    Spandorto
Population: 856,196 Area: 42,001 km² Density: 20/km² Capital: Tommasia (pop. 76,920) Notable cities: Uprino (pop. 64,833), Kornelio (pop. 41,609), Kurrente (pop. 31,728) Similar to the region of Verdiante, Spandorto is also a good destination for those seeking to explore the nature of Lavender Island and enjoy the local culture in some smaller cities.

This city is often called the Giovannilandian Capital of Culture, owing to its famous festivals, art exhibitions and culinary scene.

Also notable is Flaviopole, founded on the site that the expedition to Andolia by the general Flaviopole first landed, and other coastal cities like Giuvenoria and Delliaro. Lido Flavi is also home to the Irto River's delta and several different biomes, such as moist and dry broadleaf forests, as well as arid and semiarid shrublands, a nice combination for eco-tourism.

    Andoliavilla, Giovanniland's third largest city.

The capital Nenofre is located on the plains crossed by the Irto River, being one of the many settlements dating back to the ancient Beremean civilization that flourish until today, while others. The region's mostly plain territory and fertile lands are perfect for agriculture, while tourism is also significant due to the many ancient ruins. There are also cities that have a strong Lavandulan influence, such as Novo Uryde and Vallespi, with many Violetist temples.

The capital and other major cities are mostly located on the lowlands of the Irto River and its tributaries, while the highlands have smaller settlements and breathtaking views.

    FSTV 2 - Military Morning

Cpt. Natali Alexandrov, Host: Welcome back to Military Morning, here on FSTV 2. As announced yesterday afternoon by Stavka through Ukaz 231125-01, the Field Commander of the Far-Eastern Control Zone, General Iosip Frank, has been named as Vice Chairman of Stavka. He is to hold both roles as Vice Chair and Field Commander, the latter role he attained back in the springtime during the Rugby World Cup here in Dalimbar. We would like to welcome General Frank to the show to get his take on his new position and the overall situation.
Gen. Iosip Frank: It is a pleasure to be here. May the Path and our ancestors bless our frontline troops.
Cpt. Alexandrov: Indeed, sir. First off, on behalf of all of us Dalimbari, especially active-duty, a heartfelt congratulations on your new role. This has been a busy year for you, right?
Gen. Frank: Thank you, Captain. I would like to thank the Marshal and all my colleagues in Stavka for the confidence that they have seen in me to permit me to serve in both Vice Chair and Field Command roles. It is an honour to serve our Free State in both functions. I would also like to take this time to thank my good friend Admiral Kresco for his services as Vice Chair these past several years, he was a strong force within Stavka and I hope that he enjoys the gosdacha in 8. Along with the Marshal, Mihovil was a mentor to me and he will be missed in command.
Cpt. Alexandrov: I'm sure many active-duty Dalimbari have heard your story now, but would you mind telling us a bit about your younger years?
Gen. Frank: Oh absolutely! As I'm sure many of the lads know, I'm not a Starija-born lad, my family was based in Selia when I was born. Dad was a Colonel in the army but often served frontline in the Far-East and Yugodalia. As with many Dalimbari, we kids followed the paths of our forefathers, playing rugby in school and academy, going through training, and starting to make our way through service. For me, while Saint Andreisburg is our founding place and capital, Selia is... home. Even if I don't get to see it often, as I have been fortunate to tour around our great and splendid country throughout my career.
Cpt. Alexandrov: The 16th Tank Division in particular must be proud of your accomplishments.
Gen. Frank: I have fond memories of my time with the 16th Tank. Our work in the Far-East was and continues to be essential to ensure the survival of the Free State and to consolidate and integrate the Far-East onto the Path. I'm always happy to start blasting at barbaric terrorists and their ilk if they dare threaten our Free State. We show no mercy.
Our glorious Marshal Briand and the rest of my colleagues on Stavka want to ensure that the Far-East is a peaceful as the Starija, and as Vice Chair and Field Commander, that is my mission.
Cpt. Alexandrov: And we thank you for your service, sir. We're going to take a quick commercial break, and after we'll continue to talk to Gen. Frank. Stay tuned!

soccer match - Made with PosterMyWall (1).mp4  THE LAST (and hardest) MATCH IS HERE!
Hello everyone, i'm Nico from Tiveria 'I Zuja, and i'm here today to talk about the upcoming match.
This will be Candelù's last match in the group  stage of the world cup, and it will be, at the same time, the hardest. Our team will go against Nieubasria's squad, last year's winner.
Though, the result won't matter too much, so Candelù will end up in the Elimination stage (unless the team doesn't lose by too many points... hopefully not.)
That's all for today, and we'll see you later today for the match. And as always, keep fanning, football fans.

...i should take a break from this thing.

    Lunga Vià al 'emperator!

    Hotel Royale, 07:24
Gofain made a good run across the northern sectors and arrived outside the Hotel Royale well inside the time Lord Silakh had allocated for the job. The only slight delay had been a queue of market stallers lining up to get onto the Temple Plaza for the midweek debates. These days, it seemed to Gofain, Old Zona kept to its bed until after eight, as if afraid of what horrors might roam in the dark hours of night.
He rolled in under the wrought iron frame of the hotel’s awning, quietly wondering how long it would be before even that was taken for war metal, and glanced around. There was no one about except for an ancient old porter dozing on a folding chair amongst a half-dozen empty boxes, and a gaggle of housekeepers smoking together by the service door down the side of the building.
Gofain was about to get down out of the cab when the glass and varnished wood of the hotel’s front doors flashed in the early sunlight, and a mob of dark figures strode out purposefully towards him.
They were fliers, he knew that at once by the swagger of them, but not locals. Nor were they wearing the black and grey coats and flight armour of Imperial aviators. There were at least a dozen, dressed in quilted flightsuits and brown leather coats, carrying equipment packs loosely over their shoulders. They were unusually tall and well-proportioned individuals, slender and uniformly black-haired. And they weren’t all male. At least three of them–including, it seemed, the figure leading them towards the transport – were women.
Gofain got out and walked round to the back of the transport to drop the tailgate. He nodded a greeting to the first of the newcomers, trying to get a decent look at the insignia on the coat sleeve, but the young man spared him not a second glance and simply hoisted in his kit bag and climbed up after it.
Only the woman paused. She had cold, searching eyes and a slim jaw that seemed to be set permanently in a gritted clench. Her black hair was cropped short.
"Transport to MAB North?" she asked Gofain. She spoke her Astintzen with a foreign accent that sounded rather odd and nasal to him.
"Yes, ma'am. To the dispersal station."
"That’s 'commander'," she corrected, hauling herself up into the transport. "Carry on."
Gofain waited for the last of them to climb aboard, then shut the gate. He limped back round to the cab and started the engine.
Outlander. That’s what it had said on the woman’s silver shoulder badge. Imperial (Outlander) XV, embossed on a scroll backed by a phoenix that clutched two spears in its talons.
He drove them through Almat's borough and turned North towards the base. On University Street, a pair of Firebirds went over at about five hundred metres, turning South and West. Gofain looked up to watch them pass. In the driving mirror, he saw the fliers in the back do the same.

    Zona Historical District, 07:35
The service had finished, and the faithful were filing out, most stopping to light candles at the votary shrine. Candles for the lost, or those who might soon be.
As usual, as she did every morning, Reba het Aiksh lit three: one for Bàch, one for her brother, Vero, and one for whoever might need it.
She was tired. Night shift at the manufactory had really taken it out of her. It had been a struggle not to sleep through the Temple Knight's reading. If she’d been any warmer, she surely would have dozed off. But her coat was too thin: a second-hand summer coat, not even lined. Perhaps next month, with her next wages and what she had put aside, she’d be able to pick up a winter jacket or better from the Order supply.
As she turned from the candle-stand, she knocked against someone waiting their turn to light an offering. It was the man she’d seen by the temple door on her way in for the service. Tall, dark-haired, another outsider. He had a sad face. He was dressed like a soldier, and had that scent of machine oil and smoke about him.
"My pardon, ma'am." he said at once. She nodded 'no harm', but kept a distance as she went by. He’d been talking to himself when she’d first seen him. A stranger, maybe with battle-psychosis. That was the sort of trouble she didn’t need.
In fact, the only thing she needed was her rest. She could be home by a quarter to the hour, and that would give her three hours’ sleep before she’d have to rise and dress for her day job at the pier. When that was over, at evening bell, she’d have an hour to nap before the night shift at the manufactory began.
She hurried out through the temple doors into a cold street where full daylight now shone, and made her weary way back towards home.

A Joint Post Between Saint Mark and Giovanniland

Prince Marcarius arrived with Clarkson at the beautifully inlaid door of King Giovanni’s suite and knocked. He looked forward to this tea. His visits with His Majesty were always cordial … and with everything that had been happening, the prince needed to chat with a friend.
King Giovanni then opened the door. “Your Serene Highness, it’s great to see you!”, he said, and invited the Prince to sit at a carefully prepared table for the occasion.
“I’m delighted to see you as well, Your Majesty!” the prince replied as he took his seat. He noted that the king’s suite, which was just down the hall from his own, was very similar. The heavy drapes were purple instead of gold and the sitting room seemed a bit larger, but otherwise they were nearly identical. “Tell me, Gio,” the prince continued, dropping formalities after the greeting, “How was your journey, did the protests affect you at all?”
“My journey was great, I’ve heard about the protests in Ryxtylopia and I worry about the situation in the country but thankfully they did not affect my arrival here. This country is interesting, the climate is a tad colder than Giovanniland or Saint Mark but the culture and atmosphere seems very lively,” the King commented.
“I’m so glad you arrived without incident. My private train was stopped briefly on the outskirts of the capital, but otherwise, my journey was pleasant as well. I agree that Ryxtylopia is worth the visit. Its coastline is gorgeous and I find the cooler temperatures refreshing. My family has had a fishing cottage here for centuries. I must admit, though, I haven’t been there since I was a boy. I see your team isn’t faring as well as they had in past years. What do you think their chances are of fighting their way back?”
“Ah, traveling across Aura by train sounds like a lovely experience! I arrived here through a plane departing the Giovanni the Great International Airport back in the capital city Giovannia, but I can imagine that the train voyage surely must’ve been interesting, besides the incident you
    talked about.”
“Oh, aside from sailing, train travel is my favorite!” the prince interrupted. “You should accompany me back to Sanctus Leo when the games are finished!”
“I’d love to do that! Thanks for the invite, I look forward to that.”
“Splendid! I’ll have Clarkson contact your man and make the arrangements.”
King Giovanni nodded. Then, he went back to the previous question and replied: “As for Giovanniland’s team, indeed I’m afraid they haven’t been doing as well as before, especially in comparison to the two Summer Esferiads in which they twice were awarded silver medals. That said, there’s still one match, and qualifying remains a possibility due to the team’s victory in Matchday 1. Provided we win and the right set of results happens, I’m confident that we can make it through!”
“Best of luck to you! Frankly, Saint Mark has been doing better than I had hoped. We aren’t out of it either. That match against Nieubasria was amazing! Our next match will be another tough one, though … Fujai. They really are a better team, but you never know. Luck may be on our side.”
“Thanks! The Markan team has been impressive and very solid, I see it’s undefeated so far and also managed to hold the defending champions to a draw most recently. Good luck to Saint Mark in the match against Fujai and in the knockout stage if you advance!”
    “Thank you!”
The King then started a new topic of conversation. “So, how are things going for you and for Saint Mark overall?”
“I’m sure you’ve heard about the Zoranian bill that has just been signed into law. I can hardly believe how short-sighted they’re being. Markan investment in Zoran will dry up without a doubt. I realize the Zoranians are going through an intensification of nationalism triggered by their recent Civil War, but we supported them, both during and after the conflict! I guess sometimes emotions trump reason.”
“Yes, I’ve heard about the bill”, replied Giovanni. “My royal family does have properties that are now threatened there, but much fewer in comparison to the Markan houses’ estates, I believe. I do agree with you that Zoran is shooting itself in the foot, ultimately. At least the other controversial bill was vetoed, I’m sure the Giovannese and Lavandulan minorities living there are relieved by that.”
“I’m sure you’re right. That, at least, is a bit of a bright spot. There are, of course, some Markans living there as well. Many less than before the war, but still some. The Queen and I spoke and a joint commission between our nations to iron out the property transfer is a possibility. Perhaps something can be salvaged when passions cool. We’ll see.”
“Ah, that’s good to hear. Also, how is Saint Mark internally?”
“We’re doing well, thank you. We have begun talks with Arifiyyah on a high-speed rail route between our two nations. It’s in the early stages, but is a dream of mine. I suppose that isn’t really internal news, though, is it? Hmmm … let’s see …. Our archeologists have discovered a new tomb near Halomarch! It’s fascinating, really, and could shed a lot of light on early Markan history, well before the Founding. How are things in Giovanniland?”
“Those are good news, I’m glad to hear about both these happenings! In Giovanniland, the Prime Minister has recently sent me the monthly report about the national economy, it describes positive numbers for most of the economic sectors which is wonderful. Furthermore, December will be a culturally significant month for our nation, since both the 1423 Chess Championship and the Lavender Festival will happen, two of the most famous Giovannilandian events! If you are able to, I invite you to attend at least one of them, I’m sure it will be a great time.”
“I would be delighted to attend! Clarkson will check my schedule and get back to your office. It’s always good to catch up with you, Gio.”
“Likewise, Marcarius! The relationship that we have enjoyed on a personal level is wonderful, just like the centuries-long one between our nations.”
The two monarchs talked long after the tea things were cleared.

Giovanniland reacted to Zoran in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
The long awaited decision on the two bills has finally arrived as Her Majesty, Queen Adsila, has finally announced their decision. Despite foreign pressure, Queen Adsila granted her assent to the Colonial Restitutions Act, effectively stripping many Markan Houses of their estates within Zoran. Over the course of the next few months, the National Council of Lawmakers will have a special committee that will oversee the process and decide which estates may become public property for the public use and which estates will be brought into the sovereign allocations of the Crown. The law's co-author, Waya Adinesgesgi, had to say this on the matter:
"It is a good day for Zoranians across the country as our sacred and ancestral lands are restored to us. Hopefully this act will heal the generational pain that colonialism has brought to this country by driving out the last vestiges of that colonial period from this country."
As for the second bill, the Blood Alone Act, Her Majesty did not give her royal assent and used an absolute veto on the matter. Minority groups in the country cheered the decision and let out a sigh of relief at the news. In a surprise turn of event, Her Majesty released an explanation for her veto in which she said the following:
"I do not believe that this bill was made with the best intentions of the people in mind. The only purpose of this legislation would be to further divide our people with unnecessary classification. Zoran does not need a piece of legislation to determine Zoranian ancestry, the social feature of Clan names already serves that purpose in our society. So why must we subject minorities within our country to potential institutional discrimination and harassment when they have been living peacefully with us for centuries? As far as I’m concerned, all lawful people living within these borders are under my protection and should be treated equally regardless of heritage or origin."
With the Blood Alone Act vetoed, the National Council is likely to return to the matter of citizenship and draft a new piece of legislation that would settle the matter. But the supporters of the Blood Alone Act will likely lose the votes of minority groups in the next election cycle. Perhaps there might be some faces that are not re-elected, but we will wait and see what happens in the next few years. But right now, the people of Zoran are celebrating the results of the two pieces of legislation as they celebrate the end of Markan control of Zoranian lands, the last vestiges of the colonial period, and the defeat of the Blood Alone Act.

The Overthinkers dominated possession early on, showcasing their tactical prowess, while Larxia relied on swift counterattacks. The first 25 minutes were a testament to the defensive capabilities of both teams, with neither side finding a breakthrough. However, in the 25th minute, the stadium erupted into deafening cheers as Larxia’s maestro, Leo Messy, dribbled past the Overthinkers’ defense with mesmerizing skill and precision before unleashing a thunderous strike into the top corner, giving Larxia a 1-0 lead. The Overthinkers intensified their attack but failed to convert their chances, and the first half concluded with Larxia clinging onto their one goal lead.
The second half commenced with heightened intensity, as the Overthinkers pressed fervently for an equalizer. Larxia, resilient in defense, looked for opportunities to exploit their opponent's defensive gaps. In the 69th minute, Larxia doubled their lead with a spectacular team move culminating in a precise cross finding Cristian Aviero, who elegantly headed the ball into the net, extending Larxia's advantage to 2-0. The Overthinkers' undeterred display and remarkable resilience and determination responded with two quick goals in the 75th and 80th minutes, leveling the score at 2-2. As the clock ticked closer to full-time, the tension soared to unprecedented heights. However, just when it seemed the match might end in a draw, Leo Messy once again stepped up for Larxia in the 89th minute, producing a stunning solo effort, dribbling past defenders and slotting the ball past the Overthinkers’ goalkeeper, securing a sensational 3-2 lead for Larxia.

Giovanniland reacted to United Adaikes in World Cup of Football III [rosters, roleplays, results]
Oli Thurstan, an avid football fan, came from a wealthy family. However, as not to depend on their fortune, his parents taught him and his younger brother to work hard for money. At a young age and already a middle manager in a corporation owned by their family, he can travel internationally within his means.
So when he learned that the World Cup of Football would take place in Ryxtylopia, a neighboring country in the Auran region, he took the opportunity to see the games; however, his money could not afford to watch the games live in the stadiums, so he had to watch in local sports pubs in Ryxtylopia where they broadcast the games he wants to watch, most especially the matches for the United Adaikes national football team.
On the day of the United Adaikes-Peourouin match, he was at Los Tarrxos.

Minutes before the United Adaikes-Peourouin match (3rd Match Day)...
Oli sat at the crowded bar, nervously sipping a drink, adorned head to toe with the United Adaikes national team's colors.
Peouroun Natalya Serumikin sat next to Oli, also donned in Peourouin national team's colors.
"Quite the atmosphere in here, huh?" Natalya spoke first.
Oli had to turn his head twice to see who had talked to him, and he smirked at what Natalya was wearing. "You have no idea. My team's going to wipe the floor with yours tonight."
Natalya laughed, "Dream on! We've got this in the bag. Your team won't stand a chance."
"We'll see about that," Oli replied, "it's all in good fun, though. Football brings people together, doesn't it?"
"Definitely," Natalya responded, "no hard feelings, just the beautiful game doing its thing. By the way, I'm Natalya."
Oli took Natalya's hand when she reached out for a handshake. "Nice to meet you, Natalya. I'm Oli."
"Short for Oliver?" Natalya raised her glass.
Oli clinked his glass to Natalya's in return and smiled. "Nope, Just Oli. May the best team win... though we both know who that is."
As the match kicks off, the tension rises. Cheers and groans fill the pub with each near-miss or brilliant play.
Natalya nudged Oli. "That was a close one, huh?"
Oli responded by nodding. "Too close for comfort. But we've got this."
The game takes unexpected turns, and both fans ride an emotional rollercoaster. Despite the rivalry, mutual respect forms.
Natalya spoke first during the match's final whistle, "Your team played well. It could've gone either way."
"Same goes for yours," Oli replied, "football, huh? Unpredictable till the end."
Oli and Natalya share a smile, realizing that, beyond the rivalry, they've found common ground in their love for the game and the shared experience of the match.
Oli raised his glass to Natalya. "Cheers to a great game and new friends."
Natalya clinked her glass to Oli's.
She then gave Oli a side hug after chugging her drink. "Until the next match, my friend." She tapped Oli's back and left first.
Oli also finished his drink and smiled at Natalya as she left.

Big thanks to Peourouin for his input. A shout also to Ryx for the setting.
