Priscian: Hello people of Zoran, I am Noya Priscian and with me is a patched up punching bag we like to call Quiyakaso

    Quiyakaso:...now that’s just rude.

Priscian: But can you exactly say it's false with all you have experienced?

    Quiyakaso:...no comment.

Priscian: I thought so. Yesterday’s match we saw our Zoranian team beat Saint Mark 16-7 but Saint Markian Blindside flanker, Marcarius Hightower, received an injury in the final minutes of the ga-

Quiyakaso: He’s fine, if I can survive being hit by a car by three guys from Hertfordshire and Jambo then he is probably ok.

Priscian: Riiiiight, as of right now we don’t know the details of his condition but the atmosphere is tense as Mr. Hightower is the heir to a duke who is among the electors of the Saint Markian government.

Quiyakaso: I bet he never got attacked by otters.

Priscian: Quiyakaso, look, I know you are embarrassed about being taken down by otters but come on, you never let the seagull incident get to you this badly.

Quiyakaso: That is because everything in Dilber is drugged up and deadly! Here…I don’t know but apparently the otters will just attack you in broad daylight!?

Priscian: [sigh] Do you want to talk about it? Maybe you should consider going to therapy.

Quiyakaso: I don’t need a therapist, I need and old shaman and a you-

Priscian: Aaaaaaand you lost all sympathy I had for you. Now coming up, Zoran is going up against its southern neighbor, Giovanniland. Despite recent tensions between the two over the incident involving Giovanniland and Varanius and Giovanniland’s Andolian colony, this match is definitely one you will not want to miss!

Quiyakaso: Yes…please cheer for our team in the finals.

Priscian: Do I need me to call your mother about your mental condition?

Quiyakaso: HOW DO YOU HAVE MAMA’S PHONE NUMBER!?

Priscian:...I don’t but I will get a hold of it if you don’t mentally recover soon.

Quiyakaso:...I am not giving you mama’s phone number!

Priscian: [sigh] We will see you next time on RNN Live. Next up is the weather! Come on, Quiyakaso, you need a break.

Quiyakaso: I am a strong, independent, man who doesn't need no woman to tell me what to do!

Priscian: [pinches the ridge of her nose] I can’t believe I am forced to work with this weirdo. How about we go get some ice cream or something

Quiyakaso:...It’s 10 AM, what ice cream parlor is open at this time?

Priscian: Later then, how about we go to a coffee house?

    Quiyakaso:...Fine, but you’re paying.

Priscian: If it will get you to stop complaining, fine.

Zoran v. Saint Mark - Fourth Rugby World Cup

    Transcript

“...and coming in on the left is Marcarius Hightower attempting to go for a try in the last minute of the game and oooh!”

"That is a brutal tackle from newbie Degataga Dvagahi there, and it is not looking good for Marcarius.”

“Looks like he is having a lot of difficulty getting up.”

“I don’t think he will get up from it, he is just grabbing onto his leg.”

“And here comes the stretcher, I am getting word that the injury is bad enough to have it checked out at the local Dalimbari hospital.”

“Oh boy, that will definitely cause some headache for both teams, you know that Marcarius’s family are going to make a fuss out of this.”

“And that’s why I always say, if you are a noble who is in the line of succession, don’t play a sport like rugby because you are going to get roughed up.”

“I would have to agree with you there, even with the protective equipment there is still a high risk of injury in rugby and so putting your heir on the field is a questionable decision.”

"Indeed, whatever the reaction from the family will be I doubt it will be a pleasant one."

Atsil is looking over more reports that are monitoring the situation in the southern Darkesian Sea between Varanius and Giovanniland when Director Soyohata of the SIC enters her office.

"Your Majesty, an operative send something from Dalimbar...their report is very odd." Atsil sighs before looking up at him,

"Alright, give it here and tell me what happened." As Soyohata approaches her desk she opens a draw and takes out some gloves as well as a letter opener in order to carefully deal with the letter.

"The operative was in a café getting some breakfast..." They began to recount the events to Atsil as he laid the envelope down on the desk. Carefully, Atsil took the envelop and started to open it using the letter opener and surprisingly there was no letter within the envelope, rather a dalimbari coin. "...then they threatened to dro-a coin?"

"Indeed, a simple coin...hmm, get me a razor blade or some sort of small blade."

"You think it is a hollow coin?"

If it is a hollow coin then it has a message, why else would someone want to send a coin in an envelope?" Soyohata nodded and went to retrieve a razor blade and returned with one after a few minutes. Atsil carefully took the blade and slowly cut into the side of the coin until it opened to reveal a piece of paper within a hollow coin. She smiles and looks up to Soyohata,

"Call up some of your guys in cryptography and have them decipher this and don't come back until you crack it."

"Whatever you say bo-" Atsil shoots him a look, "-your Majesty."

    20:00 - One hour late

Atsil is about to turn it in for the night, picking up some items from her desk when Soyohata enters the office again,

"Oh wow, just arrived on time. Cryptography boys were pissed because they supposedly just got home when I called them but they managed to crack it. It sounds like utter nonsense to me but it came out to 'Still surrounded by the wolves?' Is this some occult nonsense or a wa-" Soyohata stopped when he noticed how still Atstil had become at those words,

"Repeat that again for me?" Atsil asked in a soft tone,

"'Still surrounded by the wolves.'" Soyohata looked up from the piece of paper to see Atsil...trembling? "Your Majesty?" he asked slightly concerned. He slowly approached her but when he got about five feet from her he saw the tears that were rolling down her cheeks.

"Either someone is playing a dangerous prank or..." said Atsil,

    "Or...what?"

"Or he has been alive this whole time."

    "...who?"

    "You are...dismissed."

    "No no no, wha-"

"I SAID DISMISSED!" Soyohata took a step back and thought it best to leave before something likely comes flying at his head. He left the paper on the table and left the office, quietly closing the door behind him. Atsil was left alone in the office, alone with the thought of the friend she had mourned for so long being alive this whole time.

What in the Spirit's name are you doing in Dalimbar?!

She thought to herself before sitting back down in her office chair to take a moment to process this possible revelation.

Port Kaisah neighborhood, Kaisah, District Seven

Two years I have been stuck in this rather unpleasant country with little to no contact to the outside world except for the occasional interaction I have with a Cambrian operative. There are many things I miss…especially the internet…the intranet here is weird but maybe I could explore the option of corrupting it somehow with misleading or disruptive information at some point.

The man thinks as he walks down the streets of Port Kaisah, he came down here from Saint Andreisburg for one reason and one reason only, to deliver a message. While he is taking a risk in doing this he feels that he should take advantage of the situation he believes is occurring. While it may very well be possible that the Zoranian government has changed the way the SIC operates, he has an itching feeling that the Rugby tournament is something they could get involved in considering it is taking place here in Dalimbar.

The tricky part is finding an operative as our intelligence service is clever with their disguises. The whole “little gray man” concept for their disguises helps them become indistinguishable from your average civilian unless you are carefully scanning a crowd.

He walks into a café in the rugby zone and gazes around the establishment to see if he sees a Zoranian, which to his luck he did. After taking a seat behind the Zoranian so that he was back to back with them. He took out the crossword puzzle he had tucked away in his coat and opened it up before saying in a conspiratorial tone,

“Is the banana bread any good?”

“Clear skies throughout the day.” replied the Zoranian to CGZ’s surprise,

“And I thought there would be rain by five.” CGZ responded. He waited for a few minutes before heading to the bathrooms where he waited for five minutes for the Zoranian to join him.

“Listen man, I thought we were told to avoid contact with each other outside of our co-” CGZ pushed against the wall and put a hand over the man’s mouth,

“We don’t have much time, I am not part of whatever operation you are part of but I have a message for your Queen,” CGZ takes an envelope out of his coat pocket and holds it in front of the man’s eyes, “make sure it gets to her, tell your boss to tell her it is from a friend. Do I make myself clear?” The man’s eyes narrowed but slowly nodded his head. CGZ slowly releases the man who immediately grabs their arm and attempts a reversal only to find themselves thrown over CGZ’s shoulder onto the ground. Before they had time to get up and react, CGZ notices the Blue Card in the man’s pocket, snatches it, and backs up a few paces,

“Attempt that again and I will flush this down the toilet.” the man groans as he gets, keeping their eyes on the card, “I am not your enemy but I sure as hell can ruin the operation you are part of should you attempt that shit. Do you understand me?”

“Crystal clear.” says the man begrudgingly,

“Good, now I am going to hand your card back with my envelope. After that, I will leave the bathroom and you will follow two minutes after me. Got it?” The man nods in response which leads CGZ to hand over the blue card with the envelope. He washes his hands at the sink (for hygiene purposes) and walks out the bathroom back to their seat and just as instructed the man does as well two minutes later. A waitress comes up to CGZ’s table,

“What would you like, sir?” she asks in Dalimbari,

“A double shot of espresso please, oh and a pastry of your recommendation.” He is going to need that double shot because it is going to be a long day when he gets back to Saint Andreisburg as he gets the gears rolling on the final phase of his plan to complete the assignment from Cambria, find out a crucial piece of information directly from Stavka’s inner circle that Cambrian intelligence doesn’t know yet…an assignment which he has been working two whole years to complete with careful planning.

Quiyakaso: Gladly, here we have fly-half of the Zoranian Team, Gulkalaski Lemomequa!

Priscian: Thank you for joining us today, Mr. Lemomequa.

Lemomequa: Thank you two for having me.

Quiyakaso: Tell m-us, tell us, many players from various teams have expressed fears about coming to Dalimbar, do you and the Zoranian team feel the same?

Lemomequa: [chuckles] Let me tell you something, after you have fought in the front line of a revolution in the jungles of Zoran where mosquitos are eating you alive while you have no clue where the enemy is hiding, visiting a country that is made to be the ‘Boogie man’ of Esferos is nothing but a vacation. This is how the rest of the team and I feel about it.

Lemomequa: Revolution, we fought for change and change is what we brought to our country. If the Grand Defense Council had won we would be calling it a civil war or rebellion. But I digress, yes I did serve, I was the youngest founding member of the Raspberry Berets in fact.

“Helloooooooo Zoran! I am Quiyakaso and you are watching the Royal News Network live in the Free State of Dalimbar! I honestly cannot believe I am here myself and I would be scared if my life hasn’t been full of a bunch of unfortunate events! Today is the day that the Zoranian team arrives in Dalimbar but I cannot get onto the airstrip like in previous years so instead we are in this beautiful city square.

Now, before this I had the chance to speak with the coach of our Rugby Team, Amadahy Lvaguta, and asked how they have been preparing for this year’s world cup. She told me that they have been working more on team cohesion, having them work better as a unit that can improvise on each other if needed. They also said they emphasized on improving upon the faults they noticed during practices and in previous matches. ‘Both of these things,’ she said, ‘have only improved the team’s performance as these basic elements have helped the team perform better when it comes to more complex and advanced plays as they have gotten used to playing together. It has especially helped us integrate our newest team member.”

Quiyakaso: “What do you mean? I am doing my job of covering the Rugby World Cup.”

Quiyakaso: “Wait…what!? Why wasn’t I told this!? They covered the cost of my flight and everything!”

Priscian: “It should have been in your email!”

Quiyakaso: “My email was hacked by trolls last week! IT is still working on it!”

Priscian: [groans] “Let’s talk to the producer and get on the line with some of the higher ups to resolve this.”

“...and that is why I recommend that we should get more funding in next year’s budget!” said Minister of Defense, Waholi Lanusila, with gusto.

Queen Atsil Ani-Wah was at the head of the table, rubbing her temples to try and soothe the headache that Waholi’s proposal had caused her,
“Waholi, with all due respect, the military is on time for completion and does not need any more funding and I am certainly not going to approve a budget increase just for the military to develop ‘star lasers,’” she says with air quotes, “as you call them. Now if you could do something about the remaining mines in the country that would be greatly appreciated.”

Waholi crossed their arms and huffed as they sat back in their chair, “If we had star lasers we could blast the mines from orbit.” He grumbles to himself to which Atsil rolls their eyes due to how childish the man was acting.

“Now, I believe that is all we needed to cover this session. Thank you all for coming.” The ministers got up from their seats and proceeded out the door, all except for one.

“Just a minute, your Majesty,” said Director Soyohata of the Secret Intelligence Council, “There is one small matter I would like to discuss with you in private.” Atsil raised an eyebrow at him,

    “Very well, what is it?”

“As you are aware, this year’s Rugby World Cup will be taking place in Dalimbar and as you know the Dalimbari are quite passionate about the sport over there.” he said in a monotone manner, “Our team is quite good but I have concerns about the ramifications of a Dalimbari defeat in the World Cup within their own country in a sport they are very passionate about.” Atsil began rubbing their chin,

“I can see what you are getting at here. If you are concerned about the safety of our people who travel there or our team there is little we can really do.”

“Little that we can do normally.” began Soyohata, “If you allow me, I would like to make plans to send SIC operatives undercover as tourists and staff members of the rugby team and make plans to provide an emergency extraction of the team and our people should a Dalimbar defeat ever occur.” a look of hesitation appeared on Atsil’s face,

“We have no real access to any assets in Dalimbar…and the arrangements needed to pull off such a plan is very improbable. I do not think we can do that.”

“Please, your Majesty,” said Soyohata, “You know Dalimbar can be a wild card when it comes to how they may react due to their levels of secrecy, but we have to take the ch-” Atsil held up her hand,

“You just want the bragging rights for infiltrating one of the biggest military states with near impossible odds, don’t you?” she asks with a knowing smirk. Soyohota does not make eye contact,

“Maaaaaaaybe.” Atsil groans at this response,

“I swear, sometimes I feel like I am running a circus. Look, if you can make a plan that might actually work and are somehow able to gain access to assets needed to perform an extraction in Dalimbar, pitch it to me and I will approve it, but know that I reserve the right to plausible deniability should that plan go south. Am I clear?” Soyohata smiles,

    “Crystal, your Majesty.”

    Day before flight to Dalimbar

The Zoranian Rugby team is gathered together in an auditorium after having received an abrupt message from their coach telling them they all have to attend a mandatory meeting for reasons they did not reveal. They were instructed to leave their phones and electronic devices at home.

"Afternoon, everyone. I know that this meeting is unexpected but there is a reason for it." began Coach Lvaguta, "As you all are aware, this World Cup is being held in Dalimbar and we know that strict guidelines have to be followed. While we believe that the Dalimbari would not risk angering every nation attending the World Cup, the Ministry of Defense and the Secret Intelligence Council wants to take some precautions in the case that covert action is taken against us by the Dalimbari. With that out of the way, let me introduce you to Director Soyohata of the SIC who will be discussing the details of these precautions." The team clapped as the director took the stage of the auditorium,

"Good afternoon, as you know the safety of our citizenry, especially those representing our nation abroad, is our top priority. As a result, several operatives of the SIC will be part of your staff and be posing as tourists going to the games. Should anything go wrong, these operatives have contingencies and plans to get you out of the country. While our resources are...limited in Dalimbar, we have tried our best to ensure safe extraction of the entire team should anything go wrong. You will be provided with one contact to report any suspicious behavior while in Dalimbar but keep your reports discreet to protect the cover of our operatives, we cannot let Stavka know what we are doing. But for now, follow the guidelines Dalimbar provided, keep your nose out of trouble, be careful what you say, and be on the lookout for fowl-play. I wish you a safe trip and the best of luck, do your best to keep up our winning streak."

  9. Dear H.E. Brig. Gen. Luis Costa and friends,

Thank you for your letter, we're glad the World Cup has been enjoyable enough for the government of the Free State of Dalimbar to have an interest on its results, feel free to keep on hoping for victory!

Unfortunately we will not be handing over the trophy to you or getting rid of the Cambrian security, we like them both just where they are. And we won't be saying sorry, because it takes too long to get through all the paper work needed to enter Dalimbar just to hand over the trophy and Zoran is too far away from Cambria to justify sending the Cambrian security back when they have practically just arrived in the country, it would be rude to do so when they have barely been shown the beginning of our hospitality.

    Yours sincerely,

    TRANSCRIPT

Hello Zoran! I'm back from the hospital and I am happy to say that I am fine, there is no need to worry about me! I am sure lots of people were concerned about my wellbeing haha! Yeah! Hehe...anyways, I am reporting live from the RNN studio for my own health and wellbeing. So far we have seen the Zoranian Fire Birds play strong this Rugby World Cup and have seem them come out of this undefeated, so far. With a close win in yesterday's game against Cambria, 15-14, Zoran is, once again, going up against Dalimbar in the finals! This is looking like a repeat of the last world cup folks so let's see if we can repeat that result!

Coach Amadahy Lvaguta has been doing a phenomenal job with the team in this competition, especially after having lost several more experienced players. She has commented before about working on team cohesion and encouraging the players to work together as a team but when asked again recently she discussed her focus on the importance of mental health and having a team meeting about three members on the team who fought in the Civil War and who suffer from PTSD. She told us that the meeting was to make other teammates aware of their condition and to help them grow closer together while working together to play the best they can without the three player's condition affecting their play style. This is a rather unique approach to addressing this sensitive topic and could become a practice adopted by other Zoranian rugby teams in the future.

When asked about tomorrow's match with Dalimbar, Lvaguta commented that they will be watching how the Dalimbari played in previous matches in the world cup and work with the team to create an efficient but flexible strategy to counter them. She will also work on improving how the team played by looking at the previous matches and working with the team as a whole and the players individually to help them improve or correct some things they may have noticed. Rest assured, the team seems to be in capable hands and we will see how this all pans out in the final tomorrow!

It has been rumored that Queen Adsila will be attending this game as well, while this isn't the first time that this has happened this is certainly going to put more pressure on the team to perform well as to not disappoint her in the final. However, those living in New Zoradia who have seen the queen have recently said that she appears to be wearing more black than usual. Could this be a sign of mourning? And if so, of what? Will she be wearing black at the final? Who knows! I sure don't, that you can count on. But we will see what happens at the match tomorrow against Dalimbar where we shall find the answers to these questions and see if Zoran keeps the trophy or if it falls into Dalimbari hands!

  11. New Zoradia, Zoran
    20 February 1422

After another morning of reading reports and giving orders regarding recent events in the country, Adsila let out a sigh as they leaned back in their chair and stared at their cluttered desk. She was on one of the few breaks she has during the day and she is spending that time reading over the latest news on the Rugby World Cup and was pleased to see the Zoranian team making it to the semifinals.

So it appears we are going up against Cambria next, that will be an interesting match. Hopefully our team will be ready for tomorrow, I can see that this will not be an easy match.

But as she thought of Cambria, the file containing the intelligence report came into her mind. She glanced over at the drawer that contained the file, trying to resist the beckoning pull it had on her in vain. Opening the drawer, she took the file and carefully placed it in front of her on the desk. Her heart was pounding with suspense as her mind raced over what the report will contain.

Do I really want to know what happened to him? I barely got to know him on a personal level despite spending months living together yet he helped me back in the beginning of the Civil War when nearly every other faction wanted my head.

Minutes passed as she sat there staring at the file in front of her, debating whether or not to finally open the file or not when at last she slowly opened the file and read the words on the white paper.

    769277189_IntelligenceReportCGZStatus.thumb.png.7e236b5a5e3adaff6609fae3ec0a7823.png

Adsila froze as her eyes ran over the word "execution", her chest tightened as she read further and her fears became a reality. She tried to fight back the tears but the dam burst and they ran down her face like a waterfall. Her anguished cries filled the silence in the room, prompting the two Raspberry Berets stationed outside her office door to come bursting into the room. They didn't bother asking what was wrong and neither did they truly wish to discover what caused their Queen such sorrow, but they went to her side and tried their best to console her. But none of it worked, for despite all they tried to do Adsila could not be consoled. She had hoped that the one true friend she believed to have had left was still alive but now that hope had been crushed, and now she was alone with the duty of her position and the stress that came with it. She recalled the last words he said to her the night he traded himself for the safety of the monarchists and herself,

It is easy to feel alone when surrounded by wolves...make sure you have people you know you can depend on if you become Queen, Adsila.

She didn't understand what he meant back then but now, oh how much she wish she did. She ordered the guards to return to their post and to leave her to her sorrow, while she appreciated their efforts to console her she knew that it wouldn't accomplish anything. Only time can heal the pain that comes from the loss of a friend.

“Dalimbari landmine going off because of reporters from H&J…A Blabberman committing hate speech…A Blue Bubble citizen causes an incident…Cambria sets it’s eyes on RWC Four…and intelligence reports rumors about the president of Santo-Dominius putting pressure on Blabberman and SDCSN to plead guilty. Sigh These past few days have been a mixture of terrible, unimportant, and frustrating news.” Adsila stretches in her chair and gets up to go towards her window, looking out at the construction of the city in the distance, “At least city construction is progressing well. The RWC has generated quite a bit of income and has given the country an economic injection it needed. Maybe after this entire event I will have finished the Second Constitution with my council and I can introduce a form in which the people can have a voice in running the country.” She looked back at her desk where the document laid open on her computer before looking at the intelligence report left by the soldier days ago on the night of the dinner with the prince. She hasn’t brought herself to look at the details of the report as of yet, afraid of what she might find. Yet she couldn’t look away from the file, it’s contents taunting her long enough. She moved towards the file on her desk, hesitantly reaching out for it so it can reveal the answer to the question she has been asking for two years. But that was when there was a knock at the door of her office.

“Your Majesty! The rugby team is awaiting you on the video call!” said one of her assistants. She sighed before looking away from the file and walking to the door to exit her office.

I guess your contents will elude me again…for now.

NEW ZORADIA, Zoran – Earlier today the Ministry of Justice stated that it had received a settlement offer from the Santo-Dominian Cable-Satellite Network but have refused it.

"As we are pressing these charges on behalf of the Zoranian people, we feel it would be not be right to take the settlement offered by SDCSN," Ministress Lanesa commented, "the people want justice and we intend to give them that through a fair and just trial. This is a test of the new laws put in place by our Queen and the people want to see people held to them regardless of their origin or status."

Blubberman, the former SDCSN news reporter who made an offensive comment live on air days ago, is to be on remand until his trial date which is expected to take place next week. SDCSN is also being charged with allowing for the distribution of hate speech on their network and will be charged alongside Mr. Blubberman.

Other nations have sided with Zoran on this matter believing for Blubberman's words to have been unjust and offensive; however, some nations disagree saying that the legal action against him and his removal are a threat to freedom of press and freedom of speech while others argue that he is a victim of excessive political correctness. Dalimbar has also made it clear that they agreed with Blubberman and that he did nothing wrong. Some in Larxia have also sided with Blubberman saying that it was unfortunate that he was fired.

The controversy raises questions that we face in the modern world in relation to what is appropriate to be said and what the proper response should be in when a public figure makes a controversial statement. Only time will tell whether we will ever find a clear answer to these questions.

    TRANSCRIPT:

Hello everyone, I am Noya Priscian, filling in for Quiyakaso to bring you breaking news! I am currently outside Spirit Park Stadium where protestors are preventing the Santos-Dominius rugby team from entering the stadium in response to recent offensive comments made by SDCSN’s Blubberman about the Zoranian people. The protestors have spent the past few minutes jeering and insulting the athletes as they try to enter the stadium. The reasons for targeting the team is due to their sponsorship by Santos-Dominians companies, one being SDCSN, and, by their reasoning, since they allow themselves to be sponsored by an organization that allows for their anchorman to make such offensive comments about the people of this country, the team and their owners do not appear to have made any comment which denounces the words of Blubberman and the SDCSN as of yet and thus can be associated and are thus ok with being sponsored by a company that throws out racist remarks. It must also be mentioned that it was made public shortly after the civil war ended that there was evidence of financial backing by Credit Santosie-Dominigne of the Corporate faction here in Zoran during the conflict, which does not help the Santos-Dominian company when it comes to how the Zoranian people perceive them as the words of Blubberman add to the fire of corpo-skepticism here in the country. Police have been called to the scene to clear a path for the athletes to enter the stadium for the match today. It has also recently been announced by the Ministry of Justice that it will be pressing charges against SDCSN and Blubberman for violating Part 3 Section 18 of the Hate Speech Act of 1421. More details on that can be found under the politics section on the RNN website. That is all from me for now and I will return with further developments, now back to the studio!

“Ministress Lanesa, I am assuming you have seen the news about Blubberman’s latest comment?” she nods at her vice minister,

“I have and I think it would be in the interest of the Zoranian people if we press charges against Blubberman and Santo-Dominian Cable-Satellite Network for hate speech. Blubberman is in Zoran and is thus bound by national law and by making those comments about our people a case could be made that he met the requirements to have committed hate speech.” her vice minister nodded,

“Just what I was thinking, plus it grants us the opportunity to establish precedent and case law relating to hate speech.”

“Good thinking, Scolaguta, let me just get approval from the Queen about pressing charges against Approctoflecticus Blubberman and SDCSN for violating Part 3 Section 18 of The Hate Speech Act of 1421. I don’t want to jump on this without her approval as it could carry global political implications to this.” Scolaguta nodded and watched her take out her phone. She knew the Queen was busy and was dealing with a lot at the moment and she felt bad for wanting to potentially dump this on her as well but as she sees it this behavior from the Santo-Dominian media company cannot be permitted to continue, especially with such public outcry to what Blubberman said. She dialed the number and waited as she dialed Adsila,

    “Your Majesty.”

    “What’s the matter, Tsianina?”

“I know you’re busy so I will make this quick, my vice minister and I were discussing the possibility of pressing charges against Blubberman and SDCSN for violating the Hate Speech Act.” Adsila let out an audible groan,

“I had a suspicion that this was the subject of your call. Sigh Go ahead, you have my approval. Don’t cut any corners and make sure this is done right, we don’t want them to get out of this on a technicality.”

    “Understood, Your Majesty.”

With that Adsila hung up and Tsianina made eye contact with Scolaguta, giving him an affirmative nod to press charges.

Amadahy Lvaguta reviewed the footage from yesterday’s game, taking notes on what could be improved and what needs to be fixed. While the team came out on top last game, it was too close for comfort. The new players did well for their first World Cup match but she knew they could do better. But it wasn’t with the new players that she was having some issues with, it was a few of the experienced players. Ahuludegi Tsiguka, Attakullakulla Quegadu, and Duyugodv Goyadv are the three that have been having the most issues. The three of them fought in the Civil War and were among the original group of soldiers that formed the Queen’s Raspberry Berets and all three of them were there at the Battle of Yemiduga City in its most bloody moments. The war took its toll on them, all three of them were diagnosed with PTSD and it was affecting their performance on the field. While they are being treated for it, she knew she needed to help them. She wanted to replace them but the World Cup came up on such short notice that a suitable replacement had not been found for them.

She paused the footage and tossed her clipboard to the side with a sigh. The entire team needs work but how can she get the other players to understand what those three were going through by just playing the game. All the shouting and loud noises in the stadium as well as the tackling on the field was not helping their situation.

I guess I could talk to the three of them and ask if it would be alright to discuss their condition with the rest of the team. They have been pretty private about it so I am not sure if this talk should come from me or from them.

She was pulled from her thoughts when her phone vibrated and saw a notification from the RNN. When she took a look, the preview showed the stupid smiling face of SDCSN3’s Blubberman and the headline, “Blubberman attempts to undermine Zoran’s Rugby match victory with offensive comment, citizens are outraged”. She let out a groan as she debated over whether or not to read the article in its entirety before deciding to read it. Her blood boiled as she read what the loud mouth reporter had said about the country. She almost threw her phone at the wall when she received a phone call from Amo-Adawehi Tsasima she took a deep breathe to calm her nerves, begging to the Great Spirit that this wasn’t bad news.

    “Hello?” she said,
“Uh, coach. We have a situation.” Amo said hesitantly.

Shit she thought to herself before replying,

    “What is it?”

“Uh, well a few of us were at a sports bar, having a few drinks to celebrate yesterday’s match when the channel on the tv briefly turned to the news where they talked about the shit Blubberman said and Attakullakulla may have lost his shit and was arrested for property damage.”

Shit shit shit shit! Of course he wouldn’t take that comment well, he fought for this country’s stability for crying out loud!

“Don’t worry, I will call management and we will get him out before tomorrow’s game. Get back to your hotel rooms and make sure to not say anything to the press about this.”

“Ok, thank you coach. I will see you tomorrow.” And with that they hung up and Amadahy let out a series of curses as they changed out of her pajamas to head to the police precinct. If she wasn’t sure about whether or not to have a talk about their mental health with the team before, she sure made up her mind now.

“Damn Blubberman and his stupid comments, hopefully this hasn’t affected Attakullakulla too much.”

Quiyakaso: Hellooooooo Zoran! I am Quiyakaso Gohalitsve reporting to you live just outside Spirit Park Stadium to bring you information on the 1422 Zoran Rugby World Cup!

Yesterday was day one of the tournament where we saw Saint Mark and Santos-Dominius triumph over their opponents, Denieria and Teralyon, in group A. In group B, Fujai and Nieubasria came out on top against Einherfell and Dilber. Giovanniland and Larxia  rose to the top in group C against Hanita Grasce and Blue Bubble. Lastly in group D we saw Min-Su and Cambria overcoming the Nagaraningrad and Qostaoyaen teams.

Tomorrow we will see the Zoranian Sun Hawks play their first match of the tournament against Saint Mark. Many of the players from the last World Cup have either retired or got injured while serving in the Civil War. The team had to find new talent to replace those members so this will be the first time we see the new players play on the field. When asked about what was done to prepare the players for today's match the head coach, Amadahy Lvaguta, said that they worked on having the new players work as a part of the team. She believes that the team's performance in tomorrow’s match will come down to how well the players work together on the field so they have really been drilling them and having them think as a team and to get used to playing with each other. It is believed that Queen Atsil will be attending the game in person as well and said that she wishes the players the best of luck in tomorrow’s match.

In other news, Zoranians have been complaining about a comment that SDCSN3's Blubberman made during a report yesterday where they said that Zoran was in Northern Andolia followed by solely listing off negative things the country is known for in recent years. SDCSN3 has refused to make a comment about this behavior. I mean, I know I am bad at reporting at times but jeez at least I know geography...I think. Anyways, in a ne-

Clarkson: Hammond, you blithering idiot. This isn't a shortcut at all! We are nowhere near the petrol station!

Hammond: Look, if I am being honest, this satnav system is not the easiest to figure out.

May: You muppet, did you not set it to common?

    Hammond: ...

Quiyakaso: Um, excuse me? Who are you three?

Clarkson: Oh now look what you've bloody done, you've caused us to interrupt a news broadcast!

Hammond: Yes I know, it’s bad, I’m sorry.

Clarkson: James, the reporter is in this direction [points to the right]

    May: Huh? Sorry. Hello.

Hammond: Hang on a second, isn’t this Quiyakaso? That one excessively unfortunate Zoranian reporter?

Clarkson: Yes Hammond and what you’ve done is drag us straight into one of his broadcasts, you imbecile.

Quiyakaso: Yes I am the unfortuna-hey! [shakes head] I still don’t know who either of you three are. I am guessing one of you is called Hammond, one is called James, and the other one is…I actually I don’t think your name has been mentioned.

May: Chaps, I’ve got the sheets for our radio show here. [hands Clarkson and Hammond the sheets]

Hammond: Well we’ve certainly got no shortage of material. The Stig’s Environmentalist Cousin for instance has been caught using coal to power his helmet.

Clarkson: Is that not the single most amazing story ever?

    Hammond/May: Not really.

Hammond: And Mecislavs Deben has lost 1,300 immigrants. So what does Quiyakaso think would most interest the listeners?

May: I think he’s more concerned with making us go away right now.

Quiyakaso: I don’t think I have ever been so lost in my life…and I have been mugged by toddlers in Dilber. Look, as long as none of you result in causing me injury, I will be happy.

Clarkson: We’re lost too, thanks to a certain hamster.

May: Usually it’s me that gets us lost.

Hammond: Enough you two! Alright Quiyakaso, I’ll introduce us. I’m Richard Hammond, the tall one is Jeremy Clarkson and the one with ladies hair is James May.

Clarkson: Yes, we’re the trio that hosts a news show called Conversation Street, it’s Hertfordshire and Jammbo’s main sports broadcaster. Well when I say news show it’s more us three mocking each other.

Quiyakaso:...Riiiiiiiight. Well it was nice meeting you three but I think the producer is either getting an evil idea involving me or looking at me to try and move past this.

Clarkson: Good idea, we need to get down to the radio station prompto.

Hammond: Yes we do, so it was nice meeting you Quiyakaso and we shall see you, well, whenever.

May: Um, Quiyakaso, I would recommend that you move far away from this spot.

    Quiyakaso: Which spot?

May: Well, Hammond and I have secretly rigged our car to only go in circles. Clarkson is about to find out.

    Clarkson: Alright chaps, come on!

    May: Watch this.

Clarkson: Now to just set off. I’ll leave those two here to deal with Quiyakaso… erm… what the hell?! [the car is spinning in circles]

    Hammond/May: [burst into laughter]

Clarkson: I know exactly what’s happened. Hammond, May, you idiots!

[Quiyakaso only notices the car last minute and flies off screen]

Quiyakaso: Fuuuuuuuuu-[fades as he flies off screen]

    Clarkson: Oh sh-!

Hammond: That wasn’t meant to happen!

May: Well I did warn him but…

Hammond: Well now what are we gonna do?!

[Clarkson gets out of the car with an unhappy expression]

Clarkson: I think that since you two sabotaged the car, I only have one suggestion to make.

[The trio glances at Quiyakaso’s body]

    Clarkson: Run!

[Clarkson, Hammond & May run away and off-screen]

[camera moves to see Quiyakaso struggling to his feet]

    Quiyakaso: I-I might have a broken rib…or a hip…or both…This was Quiyakaso…I will see you…whenever I get out of the hospital.

    The Kingdom of Zoran

The Kingdom of Zoran is a nation that primarily consists of two islands in the southeastern part of Aura. Its northern neighbor is Saint Mark, which it shares a long history with under its rule, and in the south is Lavender island nations. It is the third most populous nation in Aura with about 13 million Zoranian. Recently coming out of a civil war, the former capital of Zoradia had been destroyed and has permanently moved to the new city of Zoradia, which is currently under construction.

    Climate

The climate of the region is tropical with generally high humidity and high temperatures year round. All athletes are highly encouraged to hydrate regularly to avoid dehydration or heatstroke.

    LANDMINE WARNING

The Corporate faction of the civil war used dalimbari landmines during the Civil War and placed them in remote and urban areas. While many of them have been removed in the urban areas, the Zoranian Armed Forces are working hard to locate and remove them from the country. Should people travel around the country, be wary of landmines that may remain from the civil war, should you see a landmine please report it to the Landmine Removal Commission at +2 66 (700)-LANDMINES with coordinates (you can retrieve them from any GPS system on your mobile device). If you see a landmine, avoid the area at all costs as one landmine may be accompanied by others. If you step on a landmine, DO NOT MOVE, any shift in weight can set it off. Immediately call the Landmine Removal Commission and tell them your situation and your coordinates, a Demining Squad will be sent to your location as soon as possible where they will disarm the mine and get you to safety. To avoid the risk of landmines, do not travel alone in remote areas of the jungle, stick to main roads or designated trails, consider getting a tour guide, or avoid remote areas where you cannot get a steady cellular connection.

    Regarding Platypi

If you see a platypus, please leave it alone. They might look weird to most and while some may find them cute, they are wild animals that are protected under Zoranian law. Please leave them alone, do not touch them, anyone found touching or disturbing wild platypi, outside of exceptions such as moving them out of the way of traffic, as well as poaching, capturing, trafficking, etc. may face imprisonment for up to 60 days or a fine of up to Ⓩ600 (~$1000 USD).

    Regarding The Yemiduga Nightmare

Travelers are advised to be mindful if you hear or talk about The Yemiduga Nightmare. It was a horrendous act committed by the corporates that is a black mark on Zoranian history. It is a sensitive topic for our people and all the facts about it are yet to have been discovered. It is unknown how many people have died as a result of it or how long the corporations had been operating those facilities. There are a fair number of survivors from that horror so it is heavily advised for people to either do their research before discussing it or avoid discussing it if they don’t know anything about it.(If someone wishes to discuss it or mention it in a post dm Zoran for details as it has yet to appear in the Zoranian Civil War storyline)

    Stadium: Spirit Park

    Capacity: 94,736

To be used for Group A and Knock-out group

Divando Gadoatalesv, which roughly translates to “Spirit Pit” is one of the oldest Zoranian cities in the country with a population of around 974,539 people. It got its name from the large cenote that can be found outside of the city that was once believed to be a bridge between the Spirit Realm and the land of Esferos. You can find many cultural wonders here if you tour the old city, you may even find local artisans selling traditional Zoranian crafts such as woven baskets, jade jewelry, and spirit ward talismans. However, there are sporting venues in this city as well such as the Esferiad training pool where the Zoranian swim team practices.

    Stadium: Panther Field

    Capacity: 82,000

To be used for Group B and knockouts

Daninogisgv Galosga roughly translates to “Singing Falls” in common and it is named for the various waterfalls you may find outside the city. While many of these are not large, the various rivers and waterways create many small waterfalls whose gurglings used to be considered a form of the spirits singing by the Zoranians of old. The city started as a Saint Mark settlement as an outpost for trade and the local Zoranians in the area mingled with the settlers. The city was Marelitus, the Saint Markian name for the city meaning seashore, is an example in Zoranian history where Zoranians and Saint Markians were able to coexist with each other despite their differences. In those times the city served as a trade city and as a military outpost that guarded an ancient city that supposedly existed where New Zoradia now stands called Tutum, which meant safe probably due to its safe location inland. This city is the home of the Esferiad Planning Committee Headquarters and the location where the Zoranian Athletics Awards are normally held. It is a favorite among sports enthusiasts to visit as you can find many shops selling sports team memorabilia. The city is also known for its beaches that many people from around the world come to visit. It is on these beaches that the Zoranian beach volleyball team regularly practices.

    Capacity: 81,338

To be used for Group C and knockouts

Leo Rugiet, meaning Lion’s Roar, is one of the cities built by Saint Mark colonists when Saint Mark conquered Zoran years ago. The city is a fine example of how Saint Mark culture and Zoranian culture has mixed together to form a diverse and lively city. Today, people of Saint Markian and Zoranian heritage live here and have produced a special syncretized subculture within the country and they have their own dialect of Zoranian that is very different from other dialects in the country. The reason for this being the large Saint Markian majority in the city for most of its existence, leading to the Zoranians living there creating a more Saint Markian based Zoranian dialect than in other cities where the two peoples used to interact. Being one of the few cities that was lucky enough to avoid conflict during the civil war, the city has been the site of one of the largest IDP camps within the country and has been helping people in resettling in the cities they fled from.

A bit of RP on deciding on this city for…reasons

Your Majesty, with all due respect, have you lost your mind!?” exclaimed General Waholi, “The former capital of the corporations!? You want that city to be one of the three to host the games?!”

Atsil looked up at General Waholi from the report she was reading, the only thing she seems to have been able to do these days, and met his eyes with a cool gaze, unfazed by her general’s reaction,

“Yes I am sure. The city was not badly damaged during the final push, most of the damage having been repaired or being minor enough to not pose an issue. The stadium was untouched and remains in operation, plus it is large enough to hold massive crowds.”

“But…what about the nightmare we found th-” she held up her hand, silencing her general,

“Yes, I understand that completely, general, but last time I checked you were the Minister of Defense, and I do not recall the Rugby World Cup to be a military invasion of any sorts. So I strongly advise you to keep to issues relating to your ministry rather than worrying about the minor implications of hosting the games in the former capital of the corporations. Do I make myself clear?” Waholi frowned at the Queen but let out a sigh as he nodded,

    “Yes Your Majesty…”

“Good, now please leave my office as I have much to get done today.” General Waholi rose to his feet and bowed to Atsil, an uneasy feeling in his gut tearing inside him as he remembered the horrors he saw within the haven of the corporates.

    Back to the facts

Yemiduga city is the largest city in the country following the civil war with a population of 1.2 million people. Known as a business oriented city you can find the headquarters of some of Zoran’s biggest companies, but after the discovery of The Yemiduga Nightmare by the monarchist forces towards the end of the Civil War many of these companies and their executives are facing trial for human rights violations and crimes against humanity. But tourists to the city can find many museums, art collections, and various amenities within the city. You can also find the famous Joke Boat Comedy Club on its docks where they have nightly comedy routines on the seas, formerly owned by one of the large corporations in Zoran but has since become its own independent venue and has become more available to the masses.
