Thanks you guys. It's nice to see that Citizen badge under the Jyzerian flag! I guess it'd be a lot cooler if it's TWPAF though I haven't applied yet.

    Hi TWP!
I'm Somyrion/Aumeltopia, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the South Pacific and your new ambassador from TSP. I'm looking forward to meeting all of you!  I hope we can work towards further cooperation between our two regions ^-^
Please ask me any and all questions you have, from what our position is on this or that piece of politics to whether we really do ride llamas to work in the South (yes, obviously!). It's what I'm here for, after all!

P.S.: If any of you know where the nearest stash of biscuits is, please alert me. You will my receive eternal love.

    Hello there!
Well, this is the nation of Jyzeria!
This is actually a late introduction, as I've been playing NationStates since July 2014. Jyzeria was founded, of course, in The Best Pacific. During those early days, I was thinking of moving to another region, but I didn't know where. I decided to stay in TWP for a while until Jyzeria ceased to exist.
When I restored Jyzeria in 2015, I moved to a smaller region which suits the state of my nation at that point in time (mostly authoritarian dictatorship), only to find out that it was a raider region, and they didn't even care about the newcomers in their region. So I moved again to a much smaller, peaceful region. But the region was so quiet that I got bored of playing NS and Jyzeria ceased to exist, again.
Then of course, after restoring Jyzeria again, I moved to TWP. Because I like it there. And the fact that TWP researches cure during Z-Day is a plus for me, as I want my nation to have 100% survival rate every Z-Day, if possible. And I think it is possible because I've already had 100% survival rate five years in a row, though Jyzeria was in that raider region on Z-Day 5 (click here to read my Z-Day factbook).
Anyway, I think that's a bit long for an introduction. My nation ceased to exist many times already, but every time I restore it, I keep coming back to TWP. Maybe because I'm just lazy to move to another region and be familiar with everyone and everything, or maybe I just really like it in TWP. Probably the latter.
I don't know how many times Jyzeria will cease to exist again in the future. But what I'm sure of is that I will keep coming back to TWP. I actually want to join TWPAF, because I want to experience R/D. I just need to know when I am available and then I will submit my application. I'm also thinking about joining something that involves writing, because as you can see, I love to write. But maybe not now because I don't want to commit to something which I might not be able to do. We'll see.
So I guess that's it. That's my late but long introduction.

In the late 70's was editor of my high school newspaper, The Panther's Cry. I got the position from a competition with a fake newspaper layout...mine was the "Four Wings High Times" (one wing had been blown up by the South Wing Sweat Hogs, another wing had simply disappeared - I had fun with it).  Cut and paste layout of typewritten material, PC's were years away yet.
In 1979 I penned an article about the Iranian Revolution, the US Embassy was being held hostage at the time. I had to get clearance from the School Board to publish it, as it was considered a controversial topic. I got approval and it ran front page. It was a good article, covering Iranian history as well as the current events.
In the 80's I was editor of Christian Light Ministries newsletter, and the Kansas Avicultural Society Magazine. I had an online newsletter delivered to 35 countries in the 90's called Tales Across The Waters for fans of the German band Triumvirat. Was always surprised how large their fan base was in South America, Japan, and Korea. One subscriber/fan in Japan went to temple to have a blessing made for my daughter when she was born. I sponsored a couple 'cultural exchange' concerts in St. Louis in '99, folks we're asking for my autograph - I told them they were nuts. The band reunited and recorded a new album called "The Website Story" inspired by my work, but the record label went bankrupt and the album was never released. (I have the songs and planned artwork, but the band leader won't follow through further. But for a 2000 album, it sound alot like the 80's. Lead singer on that album is now with the Nervous Germans.)
At times I've thought about creating an online local news service, the local newspaper is terrible. Live citizen tips and reports would do better.

    Affirming a Friendship
The Ragerian Imperium’s oldest ally, the Land of Kings and Emperors, has long been an important region in the NationStates world, and the Imperium is honored to have the LKE as a partner. However, the Imperium and the LKE wished to expand their relations, and after working on this for a while, their plan has come to fruition. Following negotiations between the Governments of the LKE and TRI, the Treaty of Niso, named after a colony of the Land of Kings and Emperors, was signed, and it passed the Imperial Senate of the LKE and the Citizens’ Assembly of the Ragerian Imperium with extremely strong majorities in both.

Both the Land of Kings and Emperors and the Ragerian Imperium hope that the new treaty, which includes many provisions for cooperation in different areas will only expand the close relationship between those two regions.

    New Government Formed
Following the conclusion of Aav Verinhall’s tenure as Grand Councillor (Head of Government), His Imperial Majesty, Emperor Vulturret was quick to appoint a longtime Ragerian, Sithis (Xhakhaslovakia), as the next Grand Councillor. In his acceptance speech, the new Grand Councillor expressed aspirations to revive interest in the civil service and to further the Imperium’s foreign strength. Additionally, the Grand Councillor appointed the outgoing Grand Councillor, Aav Verinhall, as his Councillor of External Affairs, while Xemt returned to his prior position as Councillor of Internal Affairs. The Emperor offered kind words of encouragement for the new government, saying that the Grand Councillor’s record of service to the Imperium is “paralleled by few.”

    Z-Day Fosters New Cooperation
During the Z-Day period, the Imperial Council got to work quickly fostering a response plan for the region- attempting to research a cure and exterminating the zombies in the meantime. Internal Affairs Councillor Xemt and several Citizens were extremely active on the Regional Message Board, discussing plans for the events. We are delighted that such cultural cooperation was fostered between our residents during the event.

Greetings to my fellow TWP citizens, our allies and friends and the regions and nations of NS.
I am honored that Neenee has chosen me to succeed her as Delegate of TWP. She, Badger and Davelands have been my mentors and best friends ever since I joined. I have always had their support and am grateful for their promise of continued support in my new role. While I am excited for this opportunity to lead my native region, I am also humbled by the thought of trying to build upon the accomplishments of the legendary Delegates that have preceded me. If Neenee hadn’t been couped by rl, her tenure in TWP would have been magnificent.
While not completely without experience, I know that I am an infant compared to many of my peers here. The Holy Principality of Saint Mark was “born” in TWP a mere two and a half years ago. TWP has been my primary region, my home, ever since. During this time, I have represented TWP as an ambassador to several of our allies and was the principle author of The Etiquette of The Hall of Nations while I served as the first Speaker of The Hall. I was Minister of Foreign Affairs and am currently a Guardian and Minister for Recruiting and Citizenship.
Maybe because of my early focus as an ambassador, I have been a bit of a cosmopolitan. Even though this may have competed with my TWP duties at times (sorry Badger ), it allowed me to make many friends throughout NS. I serve or have served as a Priest of Osiris, an Arbiter of TEP, Pyo Sage of Karma, a regional officer of The Sasquatch Republic and Archbishop of Albion.
TWP is a friendly, active, snarky GCR that believes in the supremacy of the Delegate and awards merit. Neenee is our glittery goddess, all of our chocolate belongs to Dark and a pirate shanty stirs our blood. I have always found TWP to be a good fit for me. I consider myself friendly and imaginative … my snark could use work.
NS is a game and games are meant to be entertainment. It is most important then that TWP be fun! I pledge to do my best to always make it so. I also pledge to do my best to make TWP a safe place to play. There are many minors among us and it is our responsibility to protect them. Even adults, though, deserve to be treated with respect. Bullying and intolerance will never be acceptable in TWP. Toxicity is why I rarely hang out in GP (although I guess I’ll be around a lot more now … maybe I can help set a gentler tone? ). I see no point in digging up old grudges or launching the same old personal attacks. I will always try to conduct myself with civility and kindness, and will expect the same behavior from the people of TWP. Finally, it is my opinion that, as a feeder, TWP should strive to educate the new players about the world they have entered. To that end, I will also try to improve the educational opportunities in our region.
I have a lot of ideas that will help us achieve these goals, but TWP isn’t just the Delegate.  A very strong central government, be it an absolute delegacy or an oligarchy, can lead to stagnation. That is why it is crucial to award innovation and hard work. The region will flourish only if it enjoys the creativity, support and efforts of its residents. TWP has terrific people. I am honored to have been chosen to serve as its Delegate and look forward to working with my fellow citizens to realize our region’s full potential.
Long Live Neenee! Long Live The West Pacific!

I’m going to keep my statement fairly short…

Being Delegate of The West Pacific is an honor and a privilege. When Dave came to me to be Delegate, I was thrilled. I was looking forward to being able to do all the things and work toward keeping the region amazing.
Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to live up to my own expectations. The region deserves someone who can be consistently active and around. Due to RL things, I have not been able to give The West Pacific the time or energy it deserves to have from its delegate. I tried and kept telling myself that as soon as this thing or the other sorted out, that it’d be fine, but that hasn’t happened, and I can’t in good faith continue. I’ll be able to be around still, I’m not retiring or anything, just taking a step back.
Thankfully, The West Pacific is full of wonderful people. So, even though I must step away from the Delegacy, there is someone else ready, willing, and more than able to take on the role.
It is my great pleasure to announce that @Saint Mark will be the next delegate of The West Pacific. I am confident that he will do an amazing job. His passion for The West Pacific shows in everything he does, and his natural energy will give the region the boost it has been needing.
Please, join me in welcoming and congratulating Halo! <3

Greatly enjoyed the Point & Counterpoint on the Supreme Court.
As a British subject I was frankly appalled at the disgraceful treatment of Kavanaugh and the left's position that he was 'required' to prove his innocence rather than be permitted under democratic principles that he be innocent until proven guilty.  And, yes, I do understand that the hearing was not a court of law, but it's about as close as you can get without being one.
