I've never had an issue with this personally, never seen Chrome go above 600 MB of memory. Even with around 10 tabs open on Chrome I can still run several steam games, mind you from like 2007, Intel HD graphics suck and strain RAM ):
 
Although it uses around twice as much as around firefox :\
 
I am surprised by the amount of computer techies we have here tho! I was planning on building my own desktop but then quite a few RL issues popped up. So now anyone know anything about the laptop market?

What if, when someone is born, $20,000 is put into an interest baring account that they cannot access until the age of majority.  Then it can be used to jumpstart their opportunities in the world...such as using it toward education or a home, or tools and training for a trade.  $20k for 20 years at 4% interest would be about $44k .  A nice sum for a downpayment, or towards tuition.  That way there is an incentive to make use of the money, than to become dependent upon a guaranteed income which removes those incentives.  And the taxpayers are only covering the first $20k, nothing more, and everyone has the same equal benefit.  Set the initial deposit-on-birth amount to adjust according to inflation.

How about $100,000 is put into an account when someone is born?  In 20 years it will be about $215k.  Then have the interest convert from compounding to paying the interest out as a dividend instead.  That would give each person about a $8k/year income cushion as a baseline in addition to their salary from work.  
 
Or maybe that arrangement pays for their lifelong health care ?
 
Or.....
 
Change how retirement security is handled....establish an account at birth and let it grow interest until.....whatever age is chosen....65 ?  A one time $50k deposit at birth would give you about $700k at retirement to live out your days, without having to save a dime all your life unless you want to.

URAP behaved poorly and negatively towards this community, and his fellow forumites, and I removed him from the forums.  Much as I would remove a town drunk from a community gathering.  He is no longer welcome here.

Forgive me for starting a thread here as I am not a member of the Union, however this disturbs me. 
 
Cormac, author of the Union Charter took control of URAP's nation, sending out a mass telegram asking the region to ignore it's existing government and players.  Cormac has been a periodical participant and member of TWP. He joins...then leaves....then joins....then leaves...often within the same day.
 
Nonetheless, my point is this.  Should not the Voice provide some kind of official rebuke ?  Or prohibit his membership in the Voice due to his traitorous actions ?
 
Charges against Cormac are being considered elsewhere for his actions here.

I think we'd all do well to be calm. He's a coward, but being angry at him doesn't achieve anything. Redirect that energy into getting nations to unendorse him.

URA is the rightful delegate of TWP. We believe in game mechanics here in TWP not just when we like the delegate.
 
It's up to us to use game mechanics to prove that URA is not the delegate.
