Unfortunately some people have forgotten that the principle of separation between in-game and off-site is a two way street. While the off-site does not tell the Delegate what to do in-game, likewise it has been custom and practice for the Delegate not to tell the off-site what to do either.
Up until now there has always been a spirit of co-operation between the two. Unfortunately URAP has made a right pig's ear of that.
Another point: the in-game government is the Delegate, not the Delegate and the Guardians. The Guardians are not the Delegate's Praetorian Guard, they are there for the security of the region. They are there to protect the region from external and internal threats. An internal threat has always included a Delegate who is ineffective or who has lost the confidence of the region.

The interior of the dome in Wisconsin's Capitol reminds me of the Pantheon in Rome. Louisiana's building looks like a war memorial, and a bad one at that.

    I almost completely disagree.
Since URA has taken office, I have seen him do no leading at all. All he's done is occasionally complain about how he's too busy to be active as a delegate (even going dark and being unreachable for a few days), dissolve the Voice, attempt to instate a government that in no way solves the problems he had with the Voice, and throw a hissy fit when Pierconium cut ties between TP and TWP because of his poor "leadership". When his authority is challenged, he either just says that he'd rather not have the topic brought up, or he throws up some juvenile self-validation where he cries that he can do whatever he wants. Quite frankly, I believe that a delegate's power is derived from commanding the respect of their constituents, and he certainly does not have mine. It has become apparent that URA's idea of leading is to say that he has absolute power over everything, then assign other people to do his work for him while he sits back and blows hot air out of his ass.The only way that I can see TWP make any forward progress is to get a new delegate in power. Hell, URA even said himself that it's up to us to figure out how to fix the problems in TWP as he once again finds a way to dodge doing any real work around here.

I like architecture, specifically that of government buildings, since they are very representative of their respective regions.

So I was wondering, what is your favorite and least favorite US State capitol building, in terms of both placement and design?

I would ask that URAP supports the forum government as our Delegate or abdicate the Delegate position to someone who will support the Voice.

I'm re-creating this government institution completely aside from whatever the sitting delegate decides to do. If he recognizes us or not, is up to him. As such, I consider this iteration of the Union not to be bound to any Ministery of Legislative RP, which is now empty anyway. So by all means, I believe the conditions are met. Please let me know.

Thank you Elegarth, you have restored my faith in sanity.  I was logging in to post a motion to recommission the Voice and its Charter.  I believe it is a workable system given a bit of time and effort from this community.  I agree with you completely there.

I also believe that the Delegate unilaterally declaring it void as Fujai said was a violation of trust between that office and this community.

    Count me in!

Vlagh isn't the issue. Vlagh is loyal to the region and has been for over 10 years.

Our Delegate isn't doing a very good job of leading, so it goes. Nothing personal Mr Delegate.

I'm going to support Bhang Bhang Duc's rebellion,

My heart is not really on this. As TWP's structure allows for simultaneous off-site governments to exist, I'll pull myself out of this. I help write it to combine the voice with the other ideas, but I don't think is the right way. I'd opened a thread to restart the voice. As things are, any and all members are totally able to either join the voice, or assist on the creation of this alternative. I have no hard feelings of any kind for whoever decides each or the other. Cheers.

Not really, I have never believed that a sitting Delegate should let a vocal minority overrule their decisions.

What a complete and utter cluster. Bureaucratic, controlling - I've seen some misguided attempts at forming a government and constitution in my time in TWP, but this just about takes the cake.
    Your mask is slipping Vlagh.

See my comment in the other thread.  This is silly.  The Delegate has the authority to ignore an offsite government, but not to dissolve it.

And this my friends is the crux of the issue.

The delegate has no authority as far as I can tell to dissolve the offsite government. But Minister of Legislative RP did, technically, and he may have some backing to do so.

I have no desire to participate in any form of government that can be so unilaterally dissolved without so much as a notice. The reason is, why invest in something if someone  - per whatever - just wants to pull the rug out.

    Not cool in my book.

Very well.  You have gone from saying TWP members are childish, now to calling liars.

That's very nice of a Guardian.  I will be reconsidering my support of the Guardians when then repeatedly seek to insult members of the region.  BBD's call for a revolt sounds appropriate with this attitiude.

An apology is a good start, but soft words butter no parsnips.  I'll put my little rebellion on hold for now and wait and see what transpires.

No mean Machiavelli is ingenious Ivan Moldavi.

And if you can name the movie I paraphrased that from without going to the Internet, I'll buy you a beer.

Most TWPian thing?  I beg to differ and I've been around here a lot longer than most.  It is a most un-TWPian thing.  Most of our off-site governments have not had or needed a buffer or fuse between the Delegate and the government.

Please don't try and sell this as something it isn't.

You should know that it appears to people that you've selected the NPO Emperor to dissolve the TWP government.  It's bad appearances, regardless of the intentions.  That's the nature of politics.  Again the problem remains the same....

First you need to listen to the comments, please do not dismiss them offhandedly this way.  Might as well have joined Ele in calling people 'stupid'....

    This is untrue.

Any government on this forum can be formed and dissolved without your permission.  Yes, he can remove your endorsement of a government because you gave him that authority, but that does not give him the authority to dissolve that government.  This in itself...your misunderstanding and his misunderstanding of this basic tenant of TWP ingame/offsite separation....causes fear of him, backed by your support of him.

IN OTHER WORDS.....THERE IS NO SEPARATION BETWEEN INGAME/OFFSITE IF THE DELEGATE CAN DISSOLVE THE OFFSITE GOVERNMENT WITHOUT RESPECT TO THE OFFSITE COMMUNITY

You are quickly losing support in the region due to your position versus the region on this issue.  It's past time to listen and stop being defensive.
