Kasper comes onto the screen: guys I thought you were suppose to have done the predictions yesterday, and have them prepared for today?
Jak, with a set of cards in his hand: the komity rang and said that maybe we should stop that
James, with other hand of cards: so we have. And just cant be bothered to do the rest of it for now
Kasper: why am I the only competent one here?
The two Js shrug, focused on their game.
Kasper shakes his head: well then, I congratulate the last few winners of medals for Blue Bubble, keeping us in 1st place. And today, I extend my condolences to the Cambrian royal family during this dark time. Thank you for watching, and good night.
The screen goes to a image of the princess, for a moment of silence, before carrying on recaps of the games so far.

CLARENDON PRESS - Portrait of Avery Williamson, Gold Medalist in Rowing Single Sculls
Our proud traditions of sailing and rowing are carried well by the shoulders of the Basric Astorian Esferic Athletes. On day 4 of the Esferiad, this was proven again by the gold placement of Avery Williamson in rowing single sculls. Avery is a regular fixture of the podium at the Saint Aiaden Regatta since his first gold placement in 1417.
Williamson was born in Dhaidek Pass, Nieubasria, on November 27, 1394. His father Avery worked as a industrial process engineer while his mother, Sausanne (Yvelt), was a dietitian and housewife. Williamson had two sisters (Debbie and Kevie) and one brother (Owain). The family moved to the Gildhaven neighbourhood of Dhaidhek Pass when he was ten months old, where he would go on to graduate from Dennison Secondary School. Williamson went on to study political science at the Tamaric University of Clarendon (TUC), obtaining a bachelor's degree in 1416.
Although he initially played baseball and intended to make the varsity team, his interest in rowing was piqued when he passed by the team's booth during Club Week while registering for courses during his junior year. He was selected in large part due to his height and rowed with the team for two years. During this time, he suffered extreme anxiety and apprehension during major races and joined a student organization with the goal of destigmatizing mental health topics in professional and university athletics. Williamson was promoted to the national team in 1417, after his gold placement in straight pairs at the Saint Aiaden Regatta that year.
Williamson continues his advocacy for mental health awareness and treatment in sport, and was appointed Special Athlete Liaison on Mental Health to the Esferic Executive Quorum in 1420.

Giovannilandian Esferiad Report - 4th Day
    5 Gold - 3 Silver - 5 Bronze
Good morning! I am Karlo Nakamura-Edrense, the host of the Giovannilandian Esferiad Report. Today, there are many things to talk about—Giovanniland won 7 medals during the last day, bringing the medal count up to 13. Five are those are gold medals, which is currently the second highest amount of any nation, only behind Blue Bubble. I'll talk about the events that made this possible and the other ones with Giovannilandian participation as well, starting with Kharventhin!
Matchday 4 of Beach Volleyball featured Alessander Elessiano-Savora and Elisabetta Santi winning against Kerry Bulon and Sylvia Marband from Tupmonia. The pair now stands at a comfortable third position in Group B. Meanwhile, the Water Polo team drew 8-8 with Dilber and has dropped to fifth place in Group B, meaning that it must improve if it wants to qualify for the knockout stage. In the 200m Breaststroke Swim event, four Giovannilandian athletes participated, namely Giovanna Voglaria, Zelya Pasqual-Arbone, Horatio Andolia-Zara, and Susanna Sanquinio. All of them qualified for the final, but only Horatio earned a place at the podium, achieving a bronze medal. Susanna, Giovanna and Zelya placed 4th, 7th and 8th respectively.
Another aquatic event also happened, namely the 10m Platform Dive. Amanda Portovini, Lorentio Nakamura-Aureli, and Teresa Ferrari all participated in it. All of them qualified for the semifinals, but Amanda did not get past this stage. In the final, Lorentio finished in 6th and Teresa in 3rd, meaning that Giovanniland achieved another bronze medal.
Finally, the Judo Finals initially featured Alberto Montemorano in the repechage bracket and Raimundo Ligustio in the main bracket. However, Raimundo was later defeated in the semifinals and then went into the other side of the repechage bracket. In the end, Alberto defeated Baugulf Mata from Nieubasria and Raimundo won against Mio Maeda from Blue Bubble. They both earned bronze medals, since judo is one of the few sports that allows that. In summary, it was bronze medal galore for Giovannilandian athletes in Kharventhin yesterday!
In Quorivo, the Baseball team won 4-2 against Nieubasria and is now second in Group A, tied with first place Dilber due to having a lower run differential; while the Basketball team scored a strong 102-56 win against Fujai and now also stands second in Group A, behind only the Cambrians. The 400m Run event featured Beatrice de Beatrige de Abreo-Florino, Sersio Zara, Fabio Orintal-Silva, and Gilvano Gormo Viator, with all of them qualifying at least for the semifinals and the two first making it into the finals. No medal was gained, however, as Gilvano finished 4th and Beatrige finished 7th.
In the same stadium for field and track events, Pole Vault also happened today, and Giovannilandian athletes Neuriano Mettio, Arabella Gianluka, and Edna Nivoso all participated. They advanced into the final and finished 1st, 2nd, and 4th respectively, bringing a gold and a silver medal to our nation and almost a bronze, so congratulations to all of them! The other event of Quorivo yesterday was the team version of Equestrian Eventing, in which Klementina Regio-Amanda and Ivone Lauro Hamada both took part. While their performance in the individual version wasn't that strong, their combined forces gained another gold medal for Giovanniland! Teamwork makes the dreamwork, after all.
Following our retrospective, it's now time to talk about future events! Firstly, here are the events happening in Kharventhin, which are broadcasted on channels 206 to 210:
    200m Butterfly Swim featuring Gianna Kimura-Amanda, Silvana Santo-Sallustio, Galeria Karvilio, and Valeria Lakerta-Flavia;
    Park Skateboarding featuring Raissa Tongilio, Quirino Zapata-Abria, and Doglio Quartiano;
    Matchday 5 of Beach Volleyball featuring Alessander Elessiano-Savora and Elisabetta Santi;
    Matchday 5 of Water Polo (team event);
This is also the first day in which Giovanniland has athletes in all events. Moving on to Quorivo, the list is quite large for today, with events broadcasted on channels 201 to 205:
    1500m Run featuring Katia Terra, Brinno Rodrigo, Antonio Tavallano-Porfirio, and Guillermo Nazano;
    Equestrian Jumping Individuals featuring Talitta Porfirio Kastri and Osvaldo Gormo;
    Long Jump featuring Rikardo Korunkanio, Teresa Sousa-Afrani, and Lavanda Arboni;
    Matchday 5 of Baseball, Matchday 5 of Basketball, Matchday 1 of Handball, and Matchday 1 of Lacrosse (all team events);
    Stage 1 of Tennis Doubles featuring the pairs of Saulo Urydesi Afraniano & Gustavo Quintana Oralino, and Karlo Herbario & Gianna Karventino;
That's all events that will happen during the fifth day of Esferic events, so we'll end our sports report here. Remember, anyone can watch live events on the channels 201 to 210, and for members of our monthly subscription, we also have recordings available at sportsreport.com.gl/esferiad/ii/events if unable to check them live. See you tomorrow for the next report!

Sir Maxwell put his phone in his jacket pocket and leaned toward Prince Marcarius, speaking in a low voice.
"Sir, Her Royal Highness, Tamara, Princess of Cambria has passed in the night."
Shocked showed clearly on the prince's face.
"Good God, that that's terrible!" he replied in a hoarse whisper. "We must make our excuses and return to our suite. It would be inappropriate to continue enjoying ourselves right now. Please send my condolences to the Cambrian royal family. Once you learn the details of the services, if they are open to the public, please make my arrangements to attend."
    "Of course, sir."
The prince excused himself politely, thanked his host for a lovely evening, and made his way to his waiting limosine.

Prince Marcarius was pleased to see King James of Larxia after he had finished his discussion of archery, wines, and a new trans-Auran electric railway with Sultan Arif.
He reassured him that the Larxian announcer's behavior was inconsequential (in fact Sir Maxwell had to inform the prince as to what King James was referring).
"Saint Mark would certainly be interested in trade and scientific cooperation with Larxia, Bubble, and others, James. Thank you for including us. I will bring the proposals to my advisors. Perhaps you would ike to be my guest in Saint Mark later this year?"
The conversation continued pleasantly, more focused on the week's events and common interests.

Kassakira paces the Duchy House's Meeting room, on the private side of the castle. This isnt her forte, shes easier being a informal visitor than a formal host. But needs must.
As each leader arrived, she welcomed them politely. As Prince Marcarius mentioned her pride in the country for the games, she smiles "as much as I was not expecting it, yes. I am."
It wasnt a lie, she was proud. It's a triumph to be in this situation. But it felt like a lie. She knew it wasn't suppose to be.
She takes a glass of wine from the waiter walking past as Meklit Guntur walks in. She waves him over. They had already been over the topics they want to address the night before, and Guntur was less fazed by the games issue.
"So what that we win so many medals? They know Blue Bubble is a strong country. I blame all them military schools we have." He had joked.
She walks over to the King of Larxia, greeting him. "Its so delightful to see you doing well. I know our treaty review is coming up, so I thought you might want to meet someone, this is Meklit."
Meklit holds out a hand for him to shake "Government advisor of Military and Lieutenant general of the Glenpavia Army." He smiles "and also bronze medalist in the Air Pistol this year."

The Bauhaus Novel - Conversation Street - Episode 6: Ascendance Jammbo

Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: ... [looks emotionless & cold, is actually very nervous & shy... & cold]
    Mečislavs Deben: Clarkov, we're live.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Oh! Er, h-hi, welcome to this episode of The, erm, Bauhaus Novel which is named after the half of Hertfordshire & Jammbo where me & the Tsar hail from.
Mečislavs Deben: Yes that's right, you thought there wouldn't be an episode 6 but it was us! So, Jammbonevych, care to do the honours? I know how much you love this.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Sure, cheers. It is now time to put out the fire of agreement, on the car bomb of debate, and cordon away the horrific scene from social interaction on Conversation Street.

The ever lovable Conversation Street jingle plays while Hammond spews out a liquid like some kind of fountain or a gentleman's pork sword.
Mečislavs Deben: Sorry. Hah, eh, so sorry.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: That's the best thing that's going to come out of this show.
Mečislavs Deben: Hahahahaaa, ouch! Also, Furutani, how dirty is your mind?!
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: I see no issue here.
Mečislavs Deben: Don't think I didn't notice your little sly edit on the screen, I have access to that too you know.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Like I said, I see no issue here. It's not like it hinders me from my duty as Prime Minister.
    Mečislavs Deben: Moving on!
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Right, now you may be wandering why the Tsar & Prime Minister have commandeered this series out of nowhere. Well, I wanted to have a go at hosting it, so there's your answer.
Mečislavs Deben: I'm intrigued as to what the trio had to go and do for them to try and fail (because of us two) to cancel episode 6.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Actually thanks to Kramer we have live camera footage of the good (Hammond), the bad (Clarkson) & the slow (May) and we can reveal what exactly they're getting up to.
Mečislavs Deben: This ought to be good.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: It better be.
(The scene switches from the news room to somewhere in Karventhin, where the ruling duo are reporting from)
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
Mečislavs Deben: This is Karventhin Train Station at rush hour and well they've handcuffed themselves to a bus.
Jeremy Clarkson: False statistics ruin 48 events a week!
    Richard Hammond: BBEK burns planets!
Jeremy Clarkson: Utter rubbish coming out of the back of that group is enough to fill the Great Pacific Ocean every 3 weeks!
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: So they're angry at the BBEK for... reasons.
Mečislavs Deben: Probably because the BBEK claimed they would be average.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Ah yes, to be honest I'm rather miffed about that as well.
Mečislavs Deben: Petrovikan probably is too, but I don't know.
James May: What do we want?!
    Jeremy Clarkson: Dalimbari landmines!
James May: When do we want it?!
Richard Hammond: As soon as we can arrange easy finance!
Jeremy Clarkson: Well as soon as the signatures...
Mečislavs Deben: Yeah, we have no hope of receiving those. Dalimbar probably doesn't even consider our land as a real place. It's beyond heathen level.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: National self-deprecation, I love it.
Mečislavs Deben: You know you're weird right?
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Yes, I'm weird and I'm proud of that.
    Mečislavs Deben: OK.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Oh, looks like they've chained themselves to another bus that conveniently blocked them from view.
Jeremy Clarkson: My cold dead fingers will have to be prized from this bus!
James May: The only way I'm leaving this bus is without this arm.
Richard Hammond: Once in a man's life...
James May: You've just got to do the right thing.
Jeremy Clarkson: You've got to stand up and say 'what a load of...'
    --------------------------------------------------------------------
(The scene switches back to the news room to somewhere in Karventhin, where the ruling duo are reporting from)
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: I draw attention to the fuzzy handcuffs. I'm guessing they came out of James' dungeon?
Mečislavs Deben: They were probably from his special occasions drawer.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Along with leather tights, a belt, a cowboy hat, a tin of spam, a carbon-fibre-ended shoe horn & a 16 year old Bovril beef drink with added slippery egg white. Oh and a model train for good measure.
Mečislavs Deben: I thought that was your drawer?
    Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: What? No!
    Mečislavs Deben: Wait really?
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: No, mine is the one full of the piles of cartoon & anime style AB/DL & Age Regression drawings I look at online in my free time. I do have a model train though.
    Mečislavs Deben: I wish I hadn't asked.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Anyhow, would you like to talk about the blunders in our names that the Larxian reporter made?
Mečislavs Deben: Wait, you actually asked that? I have to say great job on improving your confidence in asserting what you want.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: I, er... ehm... appreciate it.
Mečislavs Deben: Take your time, process what happened.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: [sighs] Cheers Deben. I do try.
Mečislavs Deben: You're doing a fine job. We both know that an important part of being the Hertfordian/Jammbian Prime Minister is self-improvement.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: That we do.
Mečislavs Deben: Back to the street of conversation, we turned down Review Avenue earlier, I would not like to talk about it. That Mario man has royally peeved me off and I do not mean that as a pun.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: In that case then...
Mečislavs Deben: Are you worried about the leader meet-up?
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Yeah to be honest I am. I'm already atrocious around people in general unless I've warmed up to them which only you, my family and maybe a few HNJEK athletes and government staff can lay claim to. I also want to go so I can prove myself as someone worthy of both commanding a nation and representing it in the Esferiad.
Mečislavs Deben: I know from experience how hard it is to get you to warm up to someone. I imagine you at maximum warmness to be clingy and even yandere-esque to that one person you warm up to in that manner. Also, you won gold last time so you have nothing to worry about on the Esferiad front okay. You and me both earned our place in the HNJEK fairly, don't let anyone tell you or me otherwise.
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Alright, I see. That is correct, we did earn our places here and I won't let that be forgotten. I vow to perform the best I can and aim for Javelin Throw gold once more. On the other point, that would be a realistic depiction of me if such a situation ever arose, I do think. I'm the sort of guy who will be completely cold to everyone but then super clingy to one specific person, whether it be mentor figure, crush, even a fellow national leader though the latter has a chance of next to zero. Not sure on the yandere-esque part as you're claiming though.
Mečislavs Deben: Shall we return to the topic?
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Yes we shall. I already struggle astronomically with people in general. It's worse this time round because it is a meet-up of national leaders. Petrovikan, Dominic, Carnet, Salazar, Nazhim, Giovanni, freaking Marcarius(!) and more are all going to be there.
Mečislavs Deben: It's okay Furutani, I'll help you get accustomed to the dignitaries and then leave you to your own devices. We can talk about Conversation Street, how other countries are doing with autism acceptance, personality theory and all that. Does that sound good?
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Cheers, I know I don't ever say this but this sort of thing does mean a lot to me.
Mečislavs Deben: Anytime, it's the least I could do as His Majesty the Tsar of Hertfordshire & Jammbo. Now then, shall we go?
Clarkov Jammbonevych Furutani: Yeah, let me just quickly put the event schedule for Day 5 up. We can let Kramer perform the athlete analysis later in the events.
    Day 5 Event Schedule
Events/Ívents Athletes/Àølīts 200m Butterfly Swimming Sentinel "Prime" Putniņš, Samson Myroshnychenko, Shuichi Salmiņš 1,500m Track Afuro Tytarenko, Judai Yakymchuk, Tommy Venev Field Long Jump Mamoru Endziņš, Yuuto Kreslīns Equestrian Individual Jumping Jolyne Cishisheva, Miko Tymchuk Park Skateboarding Seiko Skudra, Chihiro Freimanis Tennis Doubles Stage 1 Dio Burluka + Faust Ḩarełeudeiem, Sakuya Ivanova + Kaguya Hadjiivanovasan Baseball Matchday 5 Hertfordia Baseball Beach Volleyball Matchday 5 Frisk Dachev + Robert Spïďwagen Water Polo Matchday 5 Hertfordshire & Jammbo Water Polo Team Basketball Matchday 5 Hertfordia Basketball Handball Matchday 1 Hertfordia Handball Federation Lacrosse Matchday 1 Hertfordia Lacrosse
The pair, with Jammbonevych Furutani reassured, left the station and got into their very own luxury car that they themselves own (no security firm here) and left for the leader meet-up. As for the trio of hosts, they ended up running away. Perhaps they should leave protests to the professionals. Now we say goodbye. Some say we are dead but the Tsar is too afraid to tell us, and that we can open a portable news station with our testes. All we know is, we're going to the Verkhovna Anglia now to look in Clarkov's special occasions drawer and that we're the HNJEK. Goodnight!

"Sir Maxwell Standish, Personal Secretary to His Serene Highness Marcarius, Prince of The Holy Principality of Saint Mark, accompaning His Serene Highness," he stated briskly, but politely, to the guard at the Duchy door. The Prince at his side nodded and smiled to the guard as he let them through.
The Duchy Estate was lovely, and the Prince admired the antiques and mosaics as they passed into the main hall and greeted the Mpitarika.
"This is a beautiful estate. Thank you so much for your kind invitation. Blue Bubble is really doing remakably in this Esferiad! You must be so proud."
Several of the Heads of State and important guests had already arrived, including His Majesty the Sultan of Arifiyyah and his beautiful wife, Queen Isabella. He walked over to them and held out his hand.
"Arif and Isabella! So good to see you again! I had hoped that we would have a chance to get together again. I am grateful to our host for providing this opportunity. Congratulations on the fine performance by your basketball team! I trust your time here has been as pleasant as mine so far?"
A footman discreetly offered champagne from a silver tray which the Prince accepted and his Secretary declined.
"Ah! A charming Giovannian vintage! Very nice," noted the Prince. "To further victories!" he toasted, smiling toward his royal friends.

Exclusive Interview with SDNEC Chairman D. Delarue-Brouillard
"Hello, everyone! From Kharventin, Blue Bubble, we at Santo-Dominian Cable-Satellite Network Channel 3 bring you live coverage of the II Summer Esferiad! Some of you eagle-eyed viewers may have noticed that SDCSN Channel 3 is now under the purview of SDCSN Sports. Anyways, our coverage of the II Summer Esferiad is brought to you by our generous sponsor, 15th Century Cat! It's the film company whose only realistic claim to fame is its logo and parodies of it! I, the utterly unqualified non-journalist that is Approctoflecticus Blubberman, will be your intentionally clumsy host for the entire duration of the II Summer Esferiad."
"And today, we have a very special guest with us here on SDCSN Channel 3. It's the man who's behind the rapid growth of Santos-Dominius' Esferiad team, and also the man behind Santos-Dominius' Esferiad strategy! Please welcome to our programme Mr Damian Delarue-Brouillard, founder and incumbent chairman of the Santo-Dominian National Esferiad Commitee(SDNEC)! It's great to have you here on our programme, Mr Delarue-Brouillard."
"Thank you, Approctoflecticus. I'm honoured to be invited onto this programme."
"Now, let us dive straight into the interview. Firstly, what do you make of Team SD's performance so far?"
"Well that's a good question, Approctoflecticus. Of course, I think that Team SD has done wonderfully. It is our country's first-ever Esferiad after all, and our athletes are already adjusting nicely to the demands and requirements of competing in the big leagues. We may not be the best-performing nation as of right now, but I place complete faith in our talented Esferians to bring more medals home and make us all proud."
"Mr Delarue-Brouillard, I've heard some of my fellow colleagues at SDCSN Channel 3 say that your SDNEC came up with a strategy for the Esferiad. Is there such a strategy, and if so, what is it?"
"Well, there is a strategy that my colleagues and I developed. That is true. Back when we were submitting the list of participants to the organisers, we attempted to participate strategically in the Esferiad. Given Santos-Dominius' fascination with water sports and our geographical location in the Yatasail Sea, I figured that our athletes would perform very well in aquatics and other similar water sports. So most of our athletes competed in those kinds of sports."
"Ah! I understand. Now that you explained it, the whole situation does make more sense now. Unfortunately, however, some of my colleagues have suggested that this strategy actually harmed Team SD's chances as we put too many eggs into one basket. A lot of our athletes tried their best but ultimately failed to win medals for our country. Mr Delarue-Brouillard, what is your response and reaction to these suggestions and statements?"
"I think they're not really true. The relationship between the coordinated Esferiad strategy and our athletes' performance is simply correlation, not causation. Moreover, the Esferiad is not all about medals! It's about celebrating sports in general and fostering friendship and sportsmanship. Our Esferiad athletes don't have to win medals to show how good, how passionate and how dedicated they are. Glory can be achieved without having to win recognition for your efforts."
"Good words for everyone at home to think about while watching this, Mr Delarue-Brouillard. Well, before this interview, my colleagues from SDCSN Channel 3 asked members of the public as well as our viewers to submit questions for you via an online form or social media platforms. One of those questions, asked by a Mrs Jessica James, concerns the size of Santos-Dominius' Esferiad delegation. Her question is: 'Santos-Dominius sent around 40 athletes this year, and we've not participated in many events. Will the SDNEC send more people to compete in more events next time?' Mr Delarue-Brouillard, what's your answer?"
"Definitely. Yes, we will of course send more athletes to participate in the next Esferiad. We will dispatch an even bigger delegation to join in the fun. Santos-Dominius will only aim for ever greater heights - the sky's our only limit!"
"Thank you, Mr Delarue-Brouillard. I suspect Mrs James will be very pleased with that answer. Anyways, that's all that we have time for. Thank you, Mr Delarue-Brouillard, for joining us on our programme and providing answers to our questions and those of our viewers. This is the channel for live and direct coverage of the II Summer Esferiad! I'm Approctoflecticus Blubberman, and a recap of Day 4 results will be aired later in the day, so don't change the channel! Stay tuned to SDCSN Channel 3 for coverage of the Esferiad, and see you whenever stuff happens!"

SUMMER ESFERIAD DAY 4   Greetings to all! We have reached the fourth day of summer Esferiad 1421. Today, we bring you some current news about Arifiyyah Team.
Pandalela Renang and Nur Dhabitah failed to qualify for the 10m platform diving semifinals after being ranked 27th and 30th in the overall ranking. In the 200m breaststroke event, Lee Kuan was only in the semifinals and Albert Soffian was in the finals. Albert ranked 6th out of 8 athletes.
    200m breaststroke final

400m run, is not something to be happy about, but it is enough to make Arifians proud of Anuar Zain and Nur Zahirah after they qualified and ended the event in the semifinals.

We also have good news for you, the national basketball squad has successfully beat Fhaengshia 78-76 after Hamid Hamidon, the team's PG scored 3 pointers a few seconds before the end of the 4th quarter. The Arifiyyah Orangutans are now ranked 5th in the B team, apparently there is still a chance for our national team! "The boys worked very hard today, it seemed useful our training yesterday. Having won, I see the spirit of our team is increasing, I am confident they can do their best for the next match", commented from the national team coach.

Arifiyyah(Black Jersey) in action vs Fhaengshia

And this is his current rank of medal collected sorted by gold.

It seems Blue Bubble really love winning, already grabbed 24 medals. Follow up by Hertfordshire and Jammbo with 6 gold,2 silver and 4 bronze. Meanwhile Arifiyyah still with no medal. We believe in a few more days, we will get at least a bronze medal.

We wish goodluck to all Arifians athletes for tomorrow. That's all the reports for today. Reported from Blue Bubble,Thank you.

    DAY FOUR–HEADLINES
    - The Orandian basketball and water polo teams do not play today, enjoying a well-deserved day off. They will return in the next day's events.
    - Evelyn Asplund and Jane Offerdahl cling tightly to their ranking of third in their group, in the beach volleyball event.
    - All three Orandian single scull rowers fall into the repechage bracket. Monica Lovdahl and Richard Ancel pass the first round of repechage, but neither makes it into the quarterfinals. Simon Samuelson doesn't even make it to that.
    - 10-meter platform diver Amanda Orvik dives into the qualifiers with a qualifying rank of 453.55. A semifinal score of 474.35 nets her a spot in the final, but not a medal, finishing tenth with a score of 452.40 and a knee injury.
    - Fellow diver Lasse Heide, with a score of 408.40, does not pass the qualifier.
    - Breaststroker Tove Rud loses her spot in the semifinals to a coin flip, her time of 2:11.33 tying her with Maltilda Voigts of Dalimbar.
    - Auden Skogen flops with a time of 2:13.99. Nathan Clérisseau qualifies with a time of 2:11.29, mere fractions of a second separating him from Rud and Voigts.
    - Clérisseau ties for the top of his semifinal heat with an impressive time of 2:08.91, but places fifth in the final with a slightly less impressive 2:09.25. Again, no medal.
    - Nathan Messier and Catalina Rotaru pass the 400-meter run qualifier with times of 45.43 and 46.10, respectively. But semifinal times of 44.95 and 45.07, also respectively, are not enough to put them in the finals.
    - Pole vaulters Martin Thévenet and Margarita Olinescu do well in the qualifier with scores of 5.65, Thévenet making four of his vaults on the first try. In the finals, though, he only makes one of his vaults, and Olinescu makes none.

    COMMENTARY
"Lex Lascar, once again, coming at you live from day four of the Esferiad! Brilliant performances by many of our athletes today, although none were enough to earn Orandia another medal. It is how it is today, folks, and no one knows that more than our very own star diver, Amanda Orvik. How's the knee looking, Amanda?"
[The camera cuts to Amanda's knee, wrapped with a cold compress. It then cuts back up to Lex and Amanda's upper bodies.]
Amanda: "It doesn't hurt much anymore. It was bound to happen sometime, at the rate I've been diving and swimming. There's a lot of knee-bending when you dive, after all. This is just... a really unlucky time for it to happen. Yeah, really unlucky."
[Amanda tries to say more, but she's having a hard time keeping herself composed. She looks as though she might cry. Lex gives her a reassuring touch on the shoulder.]
"We all have our off days, Amanda. I won't keep you here any longer. I speak for all of Orandia when I say, get well soon."
[Amanda leaves. Lex turns back to the camera.]
"Speaking of off days, we'll have more athletes who didn't quite make the cut today for you in a few minutes. After the break, stay tuned to hear from pole vaulters Martin Thévenet and Margarita Olinescu, and breaststroker Nathan Clérissau!"

    LOOKING AHEAD–DAY FIVE
    - The Orandian basketball and water polo teams return for match day five.
    - The 1500 meter run, featuring the quickly rising star Raymond Tonneson and fellow runner Alexandra "Ice Berg" Berg, takes place.
    - The long jump event, featuring Carmen Moscivici and the barely-qualified Alexis Popelin, takes place.
    - Sigrun Skyberg, having dominated nationwide swimming championships in the past year, makes a splash in the 200-meter butterfly. Giselle Hémery and Jan Ungur will also partake in the event.

II Summer Esferiad - Day 3 Recap with A. Blubberman
"Hello, everyone! From Kharventin, Blue Bubble, we at Santo-Dominian Cable-Satellite Network Channel 3 bring you live coverage of the II Summer Esferiad! Our coverage of the II Summer Esferiad is brought to you by our generous sponsor, Pricey Pharmaceuticals! It's the major pharma company that cannot stop profiting obscenely from selling human survival! I, the B-rate personality that is Approctoflecticus Blubberman, will be your habitually conceited host for the entire duration of the entire duration of the II Summer Esferiad!"
"And now we go straight to covering the results for Day 3! In 200m Backstroke heats, Santo-Dominian swimmers Friedrich Obertssohn and Connie Rodriguez qualified, while peers Emma Beckerbrand and Adam Smithson were sadly eliminated from contention. Obertssohn and Rodriguez also qualified during the semifinals, but finished in 8th and 6th place respectively in the finals. Although Team SD didn't win, great effort to Friedrich and Connie - they really tried their very best for our country!"
"It was Match Day 3 for Water Polo today, but Team Santos-Dominius had no matches in that event today. And that's it - that's the results for all the events Team SD was involved in today! Let's go straight to looking at the medal table. Unfortunately, despite Obertssohn and Rodriguez's great performance, Team SD won no medals today and therefore our total medal count of 2 remains unchanged. We have 1 gold, no silvers and 1 bronze. Co-hosting nation Blue Bubble has pulled even further ahead of the competition, staying at the top of the medal table with 5 golds, 7 silvers and 6 bronzes for a total medal count of 18!"
"In a distant second is the perpetually moody Andolian nation of Hertfordia, with 4 golds, 1 silver and 2 bronzes for a total of 7 medals. Hertfordia shares 2nd place with Nieubasria at 2 golds, 3 silvers and 2 bronzes, and also with Saint Mark at 1 gold, 2 silvers and 4 bronzes. The Glenpavians are really excelling in home conditions - let's see if they'll be able to keep this up, or if the Hertfordians, Nieubasrians or Saint Markians can pull off a spectacular comeback."
"And that wraps up today's coverage! Our exclusive interview with Mr Damian Delarue-Brouillard, chairman of the Santo-Dominian National Esferiad Committee(SDNEC), will be aired later. This is the channel for live and direct coverage of the II Summer Esferiad! I'm Approctoflecticus Blubberman, and it's been great to see our athletes and swimmers throw themselves wholeheartedly into the Esferiad's numerous and multifarious events. Stay tuned to SDCSN Channel 3 for coverage of the Esferiad, and see you whenever stuff happens!"

OPINION - Perspective On: Multihull Sailing Silver Medalist Gilen de Mey
    Tasha Greidhek, Saint Aiaiden
At the Saint Josalyn I Summer Esferiad, the nation was captured by the enchanting story of sailor Gilen de Mey. Lauded for his achievement in one-person dinghy sailing last year, many stories focused on his undoubtedly heroic actions at the 1412 Saint Aiaden Regatta where he rescued two competing sailors from unexpectedly large swells on Lac Cabot du Nord. Here is the transcript of one such story in a broadcast done by NBBC:
The Olympics intro song plays and an an anchor welcomes the eager nation to the day's coverage. "Good evening all, today we celebrate the award of another gold and silver medal. Some circles particularly celebrate the silver medalist in one-person dinghy sailing, Gilen de Mey. That name may be familiar, as he was the sailor who made news in 1417 for his outstanding sportsmanship at the Saint Aiaden Regatta. I am pleased to introduce the story of Gilen, as prepared by NBBC-"
A slideshow of photos of Gilen competing slide across the screen, a voice-over begins in a soft tone- "Gilen de Mey, the 36 year old olympic sailor captured the hearts and minds of the nation in 1417 for his selflessness and sportsmanship, has a history of excellence in his sporting and professional endeavors.
"Born in the town of Brindard, near Colkirk, Gilen was raised far away from the traditional sailing circles of Saint Aiaden and North the High. He came upon his love of the water in his second year at the Tamaric University of Saint Aiaden where he was studying chemical engineering. During a spirit event, the student union required their officers to take part in a sailing demonstration - an event later lauded for its breaking down of traditional social barriers to the sport- Gilen took to sailing like a natural. The University's sailing coach took notice, and Gilen was captain of the TUSA Sailing Team by the end of his third year.
"Following graduation, Gilen remained affiliated with his University team and often volunteered as an organizer. All this while his professional life was picking up, Gilen was contracted with the defense company Aurantium where he would later meet his current partner, Jacen- a corporate lawyer.
"His love for sailing was not slowed, however. Gilen and Jacen would go on to purchase lakefront property and participate in Sailing Society events from which Gilen would come to meet the Convenor of NB Sailing, the organization which trains and selects the athletes for the olympics.
"Gilen would compete in his first Saint Aiaden Regatta in 1412, securing an unexpected third-place victory. He would regularly place in the top 10 for the next few years, along with a second-place finish to Oswin Whittlee. Something changed in 1417, because Gilen was moving along at a quick clip, even though the waters were exceptionally rough. About halfway through the race, he seemed to have a firm grip on first placement when disaster struck.
"Gilen heard the cries of two sailors competing in a different event nearby. One of them clinging desperately to their boat, which had capsized under five-foot waves. The other had been  swept 70 feet off by the rough water. Instead of staying in his race, Gilen set course for the sailors and pulled them out of the water. His hope for a first-place trophy all but dashed, Gilen waited for rescue boats to arrive. By the time they did, he'd fallen to 28th place. But Gilen's bravery did not go unrewarded. The Regatta steering committee gave him the Jan-Pieter Bloemink medal, a special award for exceptional sportsmanship.
"Today we celebrate an exceptional man, his dedication to sportsmanship, and his demonstration of Tamaric values all throughout his life."
This story paints a rosy picture of the man who has been embroiled in an expanding organized crime probe due to his husband Jacen's law firm's actions. There have been calls to strip Gilen of his candidacy for the Esferiad, but have been repeatedly rebuffed by NB Sailing and the Esferic Committee. While his role in the scandals involving human trafficking, gross fraud, and money laundering are to this date unknown, Gilen has refused to answer any questions on the matter. What has he got to hide?

Clarkson cleared the tea things as the prince read the sheaf of papers at his desk.
"Well, we have three more medals, Clarkson," the prince stated without looking up.
"Yes, sir. Congratulations on your Bronze in Dressage."
"Thank you, Clarkson!" The prince looked up and grinned broadly. " I'm quite pleased to be an Esferic medalist! I'm even more pleased that our team is doing fairly well. I wish we had more than Paul's Gold, but there are still more opportunities. Amelia would have earned Gold almost certainly if it hadn't been for her blasted appendix. Thank God she came out of that well. Do you know that girl is still pushing ahead with the next event! Her doctors say it's alright. Her parents wish she would drop out, of course. Brave young lady that."
"Yes, sir. She is quite remarkable. Did you see the invitation from Kassakira Petrovikan, Mpitarika of Blue Bubble, among your papers?"
"Yes. It sounds like a good opportunity to meet several of my neighboring leaders, and the Duchy is supposed to be lovely. Please send my acceptance."
    "Very good, sir."

The Bauhaus Novel - Conversation Street - Episode 5: Science Corner

Jeremy Clarkson: Hello and welcome to the 5th episode of The Bauhaus Novel and we have been working to provide possibly the most difficult episode to produce in this entire stations existence.
Richard Hammond: Anyway, shut up, because now it is time to plant a bouquet of chat, following a collision of debate, outside the primary school on Conversation Street.

The Conversation Street jingle plays as May shoots an arrow into Hammond's arm, much to his displeasure.
James May: Anyway, this episode will be focusing on athlete performance from days 1, 2 and 3.
Jeremy Clarkson: No James that's the next episode.
    James May: Is it?
Jeremy Clarkson: Yes James, it is. This episode is actually not going to feature us two for very long.
James May: And why is that?
Jeremy Clarkson: If you'll remember, the three of us decided that we also wanted to compile how above or below expectations our HNJEK athletes have performed and see who really is the most impressive.
James May: Ah yes, I remember now. We couldn't get it done in time, so this current episode had to be released now instead of before Day 3's events. That also means that we'll be unleashing day 3's event schedule on the viewers even though they already know what happened.
Jeremy Clarkson: Yeah but who's going to complain? I mean, how hard can it be?
    Richard Hammond: Don't say that!
Jeremy Clarkson: So, over now to Richard Hammond in the Science Corner.
James May: I'd like to clarify as the voice of sensibleness here that the following content is only of day 1 and of dubious quality and has some errors related to leaving things that should have been cut out in.
    Artistic Swimming
    200m Freestyle Swimming
    Individual Archery
    Equestrian Individual Dressage
    One-Person Dinghy Sailing
    10m Air Pistol Shooting
    Individual Taekwondo
    Water Polo
    Baseball
    Basketball
    Beach Volleyball
Richard Hammond: Thank you Jeremy, now this is really quite simple. Okay, understeer works like this: you drive down the road, you turn the wheel but the car goes straight on, crashes into a tree and you die. Oversteer works like this: you drive down the same bit of road, turn the wheel but the back of the car flips round and you go off the road, crash into a tree and you die. Now oversteer is best because you don't see the tree that kills you.
Jeremy Clarkson: Hammond. What was that?
Richard Hammond: That was important consumer advice.
    Jeremy Clarkson: Was it?
James May: To be fair he did put the actual Science Corner content on the screen so viewers can look at that while he tells us about what made his career successful.
Richard Hammond: Yes. Hahahaha. [Sarcastic fake laugh]
    James May: Open ticket!
Jeremy Clarkson: Yes, now I'll end if I may by showing not just the events of Day 4 but also the events of Day 3.
Richard Hammond: We will not be showing rank comparisons of Day 2 because we can't be bothered. Day 3 may be cancelled too depending on the time we have as we have something very important to do later.
Jeremy Clarkson: Yes we do so there will be no episode 6.
James May: Why don't we just do that when we come back?
Jeremy Clarkson: Because I just said there wouldn't be one.
Richard Hammond: So this is a dictatorship now.
James May: You say that as if it hasn't always been a dictatorship.
Jeremy Clarkson: Oh it doesn't matter. Goodnight everyone!

John Kramer, the only news station member left in the room, wonders what Clarkson, Hammond & May have planned for later and whether he will need to break out his traps and Billy the Puppet to apprehend them. Well if that does happen, someone is getting a grievous injury induced by karma or whatever John tries to justify himself with. Episode 6 will not go ahead, unless a miracle occurs, so we will decommission for the day. Some say that if you insult our reporting, Hammond will headbutt you in the chest, and that if you tune your radio to 666 FM you can actually hear our thoughts. All we know is, we're the HNJEK. See you next time, goodnight!

    October 27th, 1421
Mario: Welcome viewers to Day 3 of the Esferiad news. Today we will cover the happenings in the Esferiads over in Quoriv and Kharventhin, as Larxia managed to win another 2 medals, once again a gold and a bronze. I will pass it over to Natasha Diaz, who will bring you news from Quoriv. Over to you Nat.
Natasha: Thanks Mario. Hello viewers, welcome back to Quoriv, as our athletes duke it out against athletes from all over the Esferos for the prestigious Esferiad medals. In the 100 m Run, athletes Florence Carter, Chris Davies and Paula Pryce managed to qualify for the semi-finals, which saw the elimination of Pryce, as Davies and Carter made it into the finals. Both of them finished at the exact second, finishing at 11.01, but Davies was unlucky, as he was a tad bit late than Carter, missing out narrowly on a Bronze, or maybe even a joint bronze. High Jump athletes Dani Levante and Austin McMop, both qualified for the finals, but they weren't able to finish in the top three. Tennis! Tennis is where it was a good for Larxia. Tennis Start Rafael Nodial went all the way and won a well-deserved gold in the Tennis Singles Event. Emma Williams also came close to glory of her own as she barely lost to United Adaikes' Lacey John. In Baseball, Larxia handily defeated Fuentana 10 runs to 6 as Larxia go top of Group B. There was no Basketball match for Larxia today, as this was a rest day for the Larxian team. That is all there is to report in Quoriv. Back to you Mario.
Mario: Thank you Natasha. In other exciting news surrounding the Esferiads and Larxia, the leader of Blue Bubble, Mpatrika Kassakira Petrovikan has invited nation leaders from across the world, and give them an opportunity to network with other powerful people. King James is said to be attending the meeting along with his brother, Prince Dominic. Other leaders who are expected to attend the meeting in Kharventhin are Santo-Dominian heiress, Carnot Golberg, Hertfordians leaders Presizent Clarksov and Mecislaaves of Doben, Giobannilangian PM Amore Gilbrek and Prince Marsarius of Saint Mars. Tank you bery mush, I'll now pazz id ova to Zami.
Jamie: Are you okay Mario? Well, thanks anyways. I'll be taking over for the news for Kharventhin. Larxia had an average time here in Kharventhin. Marta Diaz our very own Nat's sister, managed to qualify for the finals of the 200 m Backstroke, but lost a medal position by 40 seconds finishing behind 3rd placed Ethel Merman from Saint Mark. In case of Trap Shooting, there was no Larxian representation in the finals of the event. The Water Polo team had a good day in the office as they beat the team from Teralyon 10-6, making their way to the 2nd spot in Group B. It was a day of rest for the beach volleyball duo of Garcia and Velasco, as the other 4 teams in the group battled it out today. That was all for the results of Day 3 in Kharventhin, though i believe tomorrow there will be a lot more to report on tomorrow as the leaders will sit down for a formal meeting in the Duchy Estate here in Kharventhin. Back to you Mario.
    Mario:....

    Dear Kassakira,
I am very delighted at being invited to the formal meeting being hosted by you in the Duchy Estate of Kharventhin. It will be a good opportunity to talk to the world leaders and improve Larxia's network.
I am writing this letter to you to personally confirm my attendance for this event, and look forward to talking to you soon. My brother, Prince Dominic, who you might also know as the Foreign Affairs Minister of Larxia, will also be in attendance for this event.

Kassakira walks across the main office floor of the Blue Bubble Esferiad Komity, and knocks on the door of the main leaders, Ociden Shoviv and Lena Hants.
    "Come in!"
She opens the door, and almost storms in, "I have a knot to pick with both of you!"
They look at each other in panic as she starts her rant, the door slamming behind her
"You said we will do average, and we will be shown as a comfortable but stable country. So why on Lavans dirt are we top of the leader board with 18 medals?!" She hisses, her necklaces dangle as she places her hands on the back of the sofa. Her vibes were very angry.
    "Well you-" Ociden starts
"I know I asked for Guntur and my brother. But you had data analysts on this. We are running rings round other countries! Its embarrassing! I wanted to hide in plain sight, because we needed to do so to go forward as a nation. Not completely show up the King of Saint Mark!" She points to the TV, recapping the Blue Bubble medal wins.
Lena stands up, almost shaking "the athletes.. they are strong people. We werent exactly expecting this push from them either." She says quietly
"I have a event tomorrow with other leaders, I will tell you what damage you've done afterwards." She growls
Lena nods "we will look into it on our side too."
Kassakira glares at them, waving a finger at them "don't mess this up again. I dont want to be accused of any wrongdoing here because you decided to pick out people who excel beyond what is needed right now." She turns and heads to the door, done with any form of excuse.
Ociden nods "We are sorry about-"
    The door slams shut.
"-this. Lena, what have we done?"
"I.. I dont know. What have we done?"
They look at each other. Scared. Confused. Concerned.

Masina Marina, Kharventhin, Glenpavia - Gold in sailing! Aline Stormo-Nguyen and Mikke Stormo-Nguyen have earned the nations first medal! The sailors carried our heritage strongly in the Multihull Sailing competition, with 2 first place and 2 second place finishes among the event's seven races, finishing nearly ten points ahead of the silver medalists. The couple shared an emotional moment on top of the podium as Arbetarna played for the first time at the Games.
Kharventhin, Glenpavia - The office of Utanriksrådgafar (Minister of Foreign Affairs) Ivo Solum (K) has confirmed that the Rådgafar, who is currently attending the Esferic Games, will be present at the impromptu conference announced by Mpitarika Petrovikan of Glenpavia. It has not been publicly announced the subject, if any, of the conference, though some in the Utanriks office have implied it is related solely to the Games.
Grand Esferic Stadium, Quoriv, Giovanniland - Many eyes are on the athletics stadium today as Vilja Arnøy competes in pole vault. The former gold medalist is hopeful for the day's competition, saying that they've come to do their best and make Braskvik proud. After their win at the first Esferiad, they had a rough showing at the Athletic World Games, placing only ninth. Depending on how today goes, we may see the final performance of this athletic great.

Hello everyone, I report from Kharventhin, Blue Bubble. Another less exciting day for us, after still no medal collection. However, we congratulate the athletes who have been in action today.
Lee Kuan Cheng, Albert Soffian and Alicia Rozak have competed in the 200m backstroke. 2 of them failed to get past the heat stage while Kuan Cheng finished the competition in the semi -finals, finished 6th and failed to advance to the final.
As for Bryan Charasandran, he finished the high jump competition in 16th place. Congratulations to the 20 -year -old athlete.

And for the equestrian, Mizan Zainal Abidin, finished the competition in 9th place. "I apologize to all Arifians, I can do better, but I feel sick since yesterday. Although the sports minister himself gave me the green light to quit from this event, but I still want to compete in it for Arifiyyah".

3 athletes on the running track, and 2 of them finished the 100m run in the semi -finals 2.
Not forgetting also the national Basketball team, taking advantage of a day without competition with full -time training to surprise everyone. Luckily for us, the national team is now ranked 6th out of 7 after Tupmonia recorded a defeat to Nieubasria.

And this is the latest medal tally standings
Blue Bubble looks serious in this Esferiad after successfully collecting 5 gold 7 silver and 6 bronze! Followed by Hertfordshire and Jammbo with 4 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze. while Arifiyyah has yet to have any medals. We hope a miracle happens to our athletes the next day, to be able to at least get one medal to our home.
