  8. "Good morning Giovanniland! I am Vanessa Desniana and here is my colleague Karlo Nakamura-Edrense, and now we'll present the last edition of our special Giovannilandian Football Report covering the finals, 3rd place matches, and a Giovannilandian retrospective!" Vanessa continued: "The 3rd place match was fought between Cambria and Nagaraningrad. During the match, the Cambrian goalkeeper only conceded one goal, however the Nagaranite defense was unluckier and failed to defend four goals by their adversary. Therefore, the match ended with a 4-1 win for the Cambrians. Now, onto the final between Nieubasria and Larxia! Unlike the 3rd place match, the final only had one goal scored throughout the match, with many other close attempts. In the end, the sole goal was scored by the Nieubasrians, and they were then crowned the Champions of the 1st World Cup of Football, while the Larxian team earned the second place." Karlo then started talking: "Now, here is the second part of what we promised yesterday—some statistics about our team! Giovanniland had three draws, two defeats and one win, and in the table below you can see all of our game results and who scored for our team in each match! There were five different scorers and six goals scored, with Gustavo Zapata scoring two of those and the other players one each. Coincidentally, all of our goals were scored in the first half of the matches. We also conceded eight goals, with six coming from our defeats against Larxia and Irador, and the other two from our draws against Fhaengshia and Libterraria." Game Scorers Giovanniland 1-1 Fhaengshia Kassio Fidustio-Severi (40') Giovanniland 0-0 Pallandole — Giovanniland 1-3 Larxia Gustavo Zapata (15') Giovanniland 2-0 Dalimbar Klementina de Abreo-Florino (7'), Giustiniano Nottua-Glabrio (40') Giovanniland 1-1 Libterraria Herbina Gavio Horati (22') Giovanniland 1-3 Irador Gustavo Zapata (10')
  9. "Hello Giovanniland, welcome to our Giovannilandian Football Report presented by myself, Vanessa Desniana! Unfortunately, the tropical storm that hit Giovanniland in the last two days knocked our broadcasting service for quite a lot of time until our technicians could fix it. We're back though, and in this report I will talk about the Round of 16 game in which Giovanniland was eliminated 3-1 by Irador." "The first half of our match against Irador was quite eventful, just like our previous group stage match against Libterraria. Our striker Gustavo Zapata scored the first and only Giovannilandian goal of the match in the 10th minute, however that would unfortunately be the only moment of joy for the fans watching here in United Adaikes and back home. Irador then tied the match at the 26th minute, and scored a second goal one minute after stoppage time was declared." Vanessa then showed images of all three goals and some other highlights during the first half. "During the second half," she continued, "Giovanniland increased its scoring attempts in order to try extending the match into extra time and win the game. However, none of these attempts succeeded and, in fact, the only one team to score was Irador, scoring a 3rd goal in the 86th minute. The match soon ended 3-1 for the Iradorians, and the Esquadra Nationale was eliminated." She concluded the report by saying: "This is all I've got for today. Don't forget to tune in tomorrow as I and my colleague Karlo Nakamura-Edrense will be back in the Giovannia Sports Studio for special coverage of the final and 3rd place matches, as well as a retrospective of Giovanniland in the entire 1st World Cup of Football. See you then!"
  10. "Hello Giovanniland, here speaks Vanessa Desniana! It is a pleasure to present yet another Giovannilandian Football Report as the host for the 1st World Cup of Football. In this report you will watch news about the last group stage matchday of the World Cup, as eight teams depart the competition and sixteen will continue on the knockout stage. Giovanniland is one of them! Yes, you heard that right—even though the result of our match against Libterraria was a draw, specific results within other games allowed us to take the 4th place in the group. The fight for the 4th place was very close because Fhaengshia also had the same amount of points as Giovanniland, but their 0-5 defeat against the Larxia meant Giovanniland qualified due to a higher goal difference." "Regarding our match against Libterraria, the first half was quite eventful. Giovannilandian players tried a lot of attacks as usual but none scored a goal, until midfielder Herbina Gavio Horati managed to catch the ball from a wrong Libterrarian play, and then went all the way from the midfield to the penalty box, passing through the Libterrarian defense, and scored the first and only Giovannilandian goal of the match." Vanessa showed images of how the goal was scored, a play by Herbina which was lauded by many as one of the best goals of the tournament. "Following this, the coach Tiberio Levino decided to replace some Giovannilandian strikers and midfielders with more defense-focused players in order to hold a win that would qualify Giovanniland immediately." "The second half of the match was less eventful, with Libterrarian players trying to equal the score to no avail until the 80th minute. The final minutes saw some revival of attempts by both sides in order to untie the game, although none of these worked. The game then ended as a 1-1 draw, but fortunately this did not eliminate Giovanniland since, at that point, Larxia had already been winning by four goals against Fhaengshia, a team then eliminated by goal difference. After the end of all Group B matches, the teams of Larxia, Libterraria, Dalimbar and Giovanniland advanced to the round of 16 while Fhaengshia and Pallandole failed to qualify. Giovanniland will now meet the leader of Group C Irador, and we'll see what happens then," Vanessa completed. Karlo Nakamura-Edrense then appeared on the screen and says: "Hello viewers! You already know Giovanniland has qualified for the round of 16. We'll play against the leader of Group C Irador, and I will give you a quick retrospective of their own games so the public is able to know which team we are facing. Irador similarly endured defeats on its first games just like Giovanniland—first a defeat against our Auran neighbors of Zoran, and then a draw against Reçueçn. However, on the third game they upset one of the strongest teams, Hertfordshire & Jammbo, and scored 5-1 against them. A comfortable win against Italia then followed, and finally they won against former group leader Arifiyyah to take the lead. It seems for me that Giovanniland will meet a tough opponent, and we must hope that everything goes alright for our team. See you tomorrow for another Giovannilandian Football Report about the knockout rounds!"
  11. "Good morning Giovanniland! I am Vanessa Desniana, your host for the 1st World Cup of Football. Today I bring you exciting news about the tournament directly from Steskia, United Adaikes. Giovanniland has finally won a match, and not just against any team—but rather against Dalimbar, which we've already met in previous sport events such as the 1st Rugby World Cup's third place match and the 2nd Rugby World Cup's Group B." "In the first half, Giovannilandian striker Klementina de Abreo-Florino opened the score just 7 minutes after the begin. Giustiniano Nottua-Glabrio scored another goal near the end of the first half, at 40 minutes to be exact. Both goals came from counterattacks after failed Dalimbari attempts to score, in which the Giovannilandian defense snatched the ball and then passed it forwards to the fierce strikers." As usual, Vanessa showed images of both goals and some other interesting attempts and defenses for each side. "The second half of the match, however, was less eventful. Neither side scored any more goals: Dalimbar was desperate to score in order to try drawing the game but had failed attempts resulting in Giovannilandian counterattacks, but the strikers from the Esquadra Nationale failed to capitalize on those chances. In the end, Giovanniland had finally won its first match of the 1st World Cup of Football and now holds the fourth position within Group B, although it must win the last match against Libterraria in order to secure its qualifying chances." Just after the screen switched from Vanessa in United Adaikes to Karlo Nakamura-Edrense at the Giovannia Sports Studio, viewers were presented with a nice analysis of the possible outcomes of Matchday 5 games and the qualifying teams. Note: asterisks mean that two or more teams could switch depending on other criteria because they have the same points, but they do not decide whether either of these teams qualifies or not. However, double asterisks show scenarios where Giovanniland and Pallandole/Dalimbar would both have 5 points each and be placed on 4th/5th, with the final decision on which team qualifies depending on how bad Giovanniland loses. If said match results in a draw, Giovanniland can still advance but it depends on the Dalimbari not winning against Pallandole, which is a less optimal scenario since it would depend on other matches. Finally, if Libterraria wins, Giovanniland could still qualify if Dalimbar does not win and Giovanniland does not lose by too many goals, although this scenario depends on too much things going right and thus we'd best avoid it," says Karlo before the football report ends.
  12. "Hello Giovanniland! Here's your host for the 1st World Cup of Football, Vanessa Desniana, bringing you more news about this tournament directly from Steskia, United Adaikes. Unfortunately, the news I have to deliver is not good for any Giovannilandian watching either at home or here in United Adaikes: our team has lost the match against Larxia and is now placed last in Group B." "The game started with a goal by striker Gustavo Zapata after 15 minutes of fierce attempts by both sides. However, this was probably the only good part of the match for Giovannilandians because the Larxian team scored just 3 minutes after and drew the game. The score did not change for the remainder of the first half, despite more attempts by Giovanniland and Larxia." Vanessa then stops talking in order to show both goals scored in the first half, and some other close goal attempts and defenses. She then continues, "Larxia then scored 12 minutes into the second half, and a third Larxian goal happened near the end, which settled the final score and relegated Giovanniland to the last place in Group B." Karlo Nakamura-Edrense then appears on the screen from the Giovannia Sports Studio. "This was yet another retrospective for another 1st World Cup of Football matchday, and I will now be exploring the chances Giovanniland has in order to qualify even with only two draws and one loss so far. In other Matchday 3 games of Group B, Fhaengshia and Pallandole had a close match but the former won by one point, putting them first in the group, whereas the match between Dalimbar and Libterraria resulted in a 1-0 win for the latter. Now thinking about the future, Giovanniland still has matches against the Libterrarians and Dalimbari in Matchdays 4 and 5 respectively, and our team should ideally win both or else risk elimination."
  13. "Good morning Giovanniland! I am your host for the 1st World Cup of Football, Vanessa Desniana, and I bring you more news directly from Steskia, United Adaikes. The Matchday 2 games for all four groups have taken place, and unfortunately for Giovanniland, our team only managed a goalless draw against Pallandole. Luckily, all other teams in Group B also drew their matches, which means Giovanniland still has nearly the same chances of qualifying for the knockout stage." "During the entire match, the Esquadra Nationale continued its attacking style from the match against Fhaengshia. However, unlike the previous match, not even one goal attempt succeeded for either side. The coaches even tried to switch from 3-3-4 to 3-2-5, but the Pallandolean defense did not allow any goals from the Giovannilandian strikers. In the end, Pallandole was a formidable opponent, and they have shown their good defense by drawing both Libterraria and now our team." Vanessa then showed some images of the match highlights, which were all goal attempts or interesting defenses as no actual goal was scored. She was then replaced by Karlo Nakamura-Edrense as he finished preparing to present the second part of the daily Football Report. "As you can see, this was our quick retrospective of Matchday 2 for Giovanniland in the 1st World Cup of Football. It's a fact Giovanniland must step up their attack in the next games if we want to qualify for the next round. Tomorrow we play Larxia, which arrives from a draw and a loss in previous games, and we must capitalize on this opportunity to counterattack their players if they desperately want to score," commented Karlo. Karlo then moved on from talking specifically about Giovanniland, and proceeded to present overall rankings for all World Cup groups and talk about some interesting matches. "In Group B, it was a pretty interesting matchday for the other teams as Vanessa said before, because all Group B matches ended as draws. Despite that, Giovanniland fell one ranking as the other draws did indeed have goals, and therefore Fhaengshia took the second place. Overall, Dalimbar leads the group with four points, while Fhaengshia, Giovanniland, Libterraria and Pallandole all follow with 2 points. Closing the group, Larxia has stayed in last place mainly as a result of their defeat against Dalimbar. "Other groups, however, have seen more action: Fujai and United Adaikes both top Group A with 4 points each, despite a draw between both of them in Matchday 2. Zoran and Badgeria are the leaders of Group C and D respectively, both have managed to win all of their matches so far and thus have 6 points. Only two teams are yet to earn a point, namely Alchera and Italia, because they lost both games in Matchdays 1 and 2, however there is still time for them to score. All other teams have at least earned a draw, scoring at least one point." Karlo then finished talking and the Giovannilandian Football Report officially ended for the day.
  14. (OOC note: this was written before the Matchday 2 results were released) "Hello Giovanniland! Here's Vanessa Desniana, your host for the 1st World Cup of Football. This morning I bring you news from the first matchday, in which Giovanniland met Fhaengshia and managed a draw with one goal for each side," said Vanessa while the screen behind her then started to show the highlights of the match. "In the first 45 minutes, Giovannilandian players fiercely attacked the opponents' defense in the hopes to score a goal. After all, this was the intent of Giovanniland's 3-3-4 formation and +5 style mod. However, Fhaengshia's strong defense with a negative style mod stopped most attempts, while two attempts by Gabriella Orfeo and Pietro Takeda even hit the goalpost!" Vanessa then showed videos of some interesting scoring attempts by Giovanniland, as well as a few by Fhaengshia, before continuing. "Finally, with 5 minutes to go on the first half, Kassio Fidustio-Severi finally scored for our team." "During the second half, Giovanniland continued its attacking style in order to increase the lead. However, the opposite happened, and after a failed attempt by Klementina de Abreo-Florino, the Reds from Fhaengshia counterattacked past the Giovannilandian defense and scored a goal. Many attempts by both teams were made in order to score more goals, but they did not succeed and the draw prevailed in the end." Vanessa then stopped talking for a while while she contacted the Giovannilandian captain, Lorentio Santo-Ferrari, through a video meeting in order to interview him. "Now, we'll interview the Giovannilandian team captain and ask him a few questions. Lorentio, what is your opinion about this game?", she asked. Lorentio then replied: "It was a tough game, and Fhaengshia were a respectable opponent. Our attacking style worked in the first half, however they scored a goal while our team tried to widen the lead, and that is something we'll be discussing with the team coaches and other players. Nevertheless, a draw is a draw, and we must be happy it wasn't a loss. Hopefully our next game against Pallandole will be better for us." Vanessa then thanked him for the quick interview as he finished talking.
  15. "Good morning viewers from Giovanniland and the world! I am Vanessa Desniana and will be your Giovannilandian Football Report host during the 1st World Cup of Football." She briefly stops for a moment in order to show the landing airplane in which our team is coming. "Watch out! Our football team has just arrived here in Steskia, United Adaikes, and soon they will be preparing for their first game against The Reds from Fhaengshia, which will take place at the Sports Arena of Steskia." *landing airplane noises* "Oh, look! Our team's airplane has just landed and the players can be seen disembarking. First our main goalkeeper Klaudio Spindola, then the backup goalkeepers... now the defenders, then the midfielders, and finally the strikers!" A fair number of fans cheer from afar when the three main strikers appear—Gustavo Zapata, Pietro Takeda, and Klementina de Abreo-Floryo—which are among the youngest members of the Esquadra Nationale and also rising celebrities on social media. "At last the entire team has disembarked and is now entering the inner airport, where they will then travel to a training site near Steskia to prepare for their game." *Vanessa disappears from the screen and the renowned sports TV presenter Karlo Nakamura-Edrense appears* "We've just had live coverage of our national team arriving in United Adaikes," says Karlo while more information about the Giovannilandian team appears on the screen. "Now back in Giovanniland, you will now see interesting information about the Esquadra Nationale! Our team is part of Group B together with the nations of Pallandole, Larxia, Dalimbar, Libterraria, and Fhaengshia. As my colleague Vanessa said earlier, we'll be playing all the group stage games at the Sports Arena in the city of Steskia, and our first game will be against the Andolian nation of Fhaengshia." The screen then switches to display other interesting data. "There will be 5 matchdays during the group stage, and Giovanniland needs to stay in the top four of the group in order to advance to the knockout stage. Then there will be a round of 16, quarterfinals, semifinals, and finally the coveted Final and the 3rd Place Match." Karlo then pauses a second time, now to show the revealed Giovannilandian lineup for the first game against Fhaengshia. "Our coach Tiberio Levino has chosen a 3-3-4 lineup for this game! He also could move Gabriella Orfeo from the midfield to the attack to form a 3-2-5 if needed, though I assume this will only be needed if Fhaengshia scores but Giovanniland doesn't," he commented. The lineup then disappears from the screen, and Karlo finishes: "That is all for today! Tomorrow we will prepare a special report on the Giovannilandian match against The Reds from Fhaengshia. See you then!"

  17. May 3, 1420 8:00 AM International Atomic Time / 9:00 AM Over Time Giovannia Capital City, Giovanniland Amore Gile Abrente, the Prime Minister of Giovanniland, had just woken up in her home at the Violet Palace government building. She knew it was going to be a busy day, because she had called for an emergency session with all 500 members of the Senate in order to discuss the Zoranian Civil War. This power is granted to the Prime Minister by the Constitution, although it was only used for extraordinary occasions. Of course, a civil war within one of Giovanniland's closest neighbors was enough of a reason to call an emergency session, and most parliament members did not object to the decision done a day earlier. Said session was scheduled to start exactly two hours later. May 3, 1420 10:00 AM International Atomic Time / 11:00 AM Over Time Giovannia Capital City, Giovanniland The emergency session started with a speech by the Speaker Aurelio Quavilla from the Partito Labrista. "Ladies and gentlemen in this Parliament, this is one of the darkest hours for modern Auran history," said Aurelio while leaders of all six parties gathered their own members. "Zoran has been thrown into a civil war that has dealt many casualties and suffering to the Zoranian people. As you know, Giovanniland is a close ally to the former Zoranian government, called the Grand Defense Council, and this can be seen by the Trade Agreement signed in order to improve both nations' economies. However, it brings me no joy to remind you the very GDC has committed a war crime towards its own people by the bombing of Zoradia, the capital city of Zoran. This has led to the death of innocent civilians! As a country that strongly defends human rights, Giovanniland cannot accept that, and it is my hope that every representative in this room agrees." He then gave the floor to the Deputy Speaker, Elisabette Martino-Treboni from the Partito Soquale-Verde. "The decision made by us today holds utmost importance and could even affect the outcome of the Zoranian Civil War," continued Elisabette. "We must support one of the other three factions in this war or continue supporting the GDC if a majority so chooses. Though I must remind you about the importance of the environment, welfare and democracy—the pillars of our Giovannilandian government—and advise you to think about each faction's commitment to uphold these values. The GDC is no longer worthy of support from Giovanniland after their war crimes, and the Theocrats have lost most of their support after the Divine Shaman's speech denouncing said faction. The Corporates, however, are the biggest threat to Aura given their endless goal of earning more profit. It seems to me that our only choice is to support the Monarchist faction, given their support from nations such as Saint Mark and their military strength possibly capable of defeating the Corporates." She briefly stopped in order to move on and explain the official voting procedures: "It's worth noting that my speech is only a recommendation, and you are free to cast your vote according to your own beliefs and opinions. After all, we have the commitment to maintain a free and fair democracy in Giovanniland. There will be one hour of discussion between each party's respective members following this speech. Afterwards, a vote will be held and whichever faction achieves the most votes among our 500 senators will then earn the support of the Giovannilandian government," Elisabette finished. After the affirmative result of switching support to the Monarchists was known, PM Amore Gile Abrente arrived into the room and announced, "Thank you to everyone for voting in this important decision for the future of Aura. Our recognition and any support given to the official Zoranian government shall be switched from the GDC to the Monarchists, and later proposals may increase Giovannilandian support whether militarily or by other means. I reiterate that this decision was made by the Giovannilandian people through our representatives in their best interest for our nation. Given there's nothing else to discuss, I declare this Emergency Session closed." The Prime Minister then went back to her official residence in order to coordinate various domestic and external affairs including ones related to the Zoranian Civil War, convinced that this was the best decision to take for Giovanniland, Zoran and Aura.
  18. Yes, there is a thread for name changes. Post your request in the thread linked below and one of the Admins will review it: https://www.westpacific.org/forums/index.php?/topic/2240-name-change-request/
  19. Interesting, only me and Mia didn't vote for 2020 in the last poll. I guess that will continue, and 2021 earns my vote this time around.
  20. Tough choice... but I'll pick brownies. I just love eating them, especially chocolate brownies.
  21. Giovannilandian Rugby Report - Epilogue Welcome to... the Giovannilandian Rugby Report? I'd bet you are surprised to see us here after Giovanniland was eliminated in group stage. But seeing as quite many things have happened, we decided to make one more report on the 2nd TWP Rugby World Cup. We'll comment about the semifinals, 3rd place match and the great final, as well as a retrospective about our team! Last report we talked about the semifinals: Dalimbar vs United Adaikes on one side, Kurabis vs Zoran on the others. Unfortunately for the Giovannilandians watching at home and the few still in Dilber, the Dalimbari were victorious against the Adaikesians with a score of 9-5. However, the other semifinal was nice to watch, because the only Auran nation left in the knockout stage, Zoran, triumphed against Kurabis. On the next day, the last games happened, the 3rd place match and the very awaited Final! On the former, United Adaikes scored a strong 14-0 win against Kurabis. On the latter, the winner was Zoran! It was a tough match for Zoranians and Dalimbari alike, but in the end, an Auran nation had won the Rugby World Cup for the first time. Anyways, we now present you a nice retrospective about Giovanniland in this Rugby Cup. As you should know, we did not get past the group stages. We played four matches in Group 2, resulting in two wins and two losses. Coincidentally, our points for and points against were also equal! 34 points scored by our team and 34 by our opponents. Most of the points against came from The Mashers from Mediobogdum, who scored 16 against the Giovannilandians. The Minsuns, who were the other team to win against us, also scored a fair amount of points, twelve. Finally, the 6 other points against came from our match against Dalimbar. The Bobkians were the only team failing to score against the Giovannilandians. From the 34 points scored by our team, 12 came from our win against Bobki, and 10 against Dalimbar. The remaining 12 points were scored throughout both our losses against Mediobogdum and Min-Su, 6 points on each match. That's it for this Rugby World Cup! We hope that you liked our reports, and we hope to give more reports about other sport competitions when Giovanniland takes part on them!
  22. Giovannilandian Rugby Report - The Not So Grand Finale Giovanniland 10-6 Dalimbar Tries: Rivano Markellana-Tarrutio (7'), Eugenio Akerrone (23') First Half: It was now or never. Giovanniland had to manage a hard feat of scoring at least 19 more points than Dalimbar. The first thirty minutes proved to be good for our team: two tries were scored, giving Giovannilandian sports fans some hope. Near the end of the first half the Dalimbari did score 3 points from a penalty, but there was still a chance to win a Quarterfinals spot. Second Half: In the second half, the Dalimbari changed their strategy to an even more defensive one; both to save efforts for the upcoming Quarterfinals game and to prevent our team from scoring. Unfortunately, this proved to be effective as no more points were scored by Giovanniland. Instead, the Dalimbari got three more points from another penalty in the final minutes. Post-Match: Giovanniland had been eliminated from the tournament, and most players came back home. Nevertheless, the people are cheering for our team. They fought hard—and they even managed a second win against Dalimbar, albeit being unable to prevent the Dalimbari from advancing.

Giovannilandian Rugby Report - 3rd Match Giovanniland 12-0 Bobki Tries: Massimiana Angilio-Visellio (22'), Eugenio Akerrone (64') Conversions: Massimiana Angilio-Visellio (23') First Half: The Giovannilandian players got several chances to score during the first half, although only Massimiana managed to score a try and a conversion. This earned Giovanniland seven points against Bobki, whose players tried to attack but were no match for the Giovannilandian defense. Second Half: For the second half, our coach decided to save efforts for the next game against the Dalimbari, thus some substitutions were made. Nevertheless, the tighthead prop Eugenio further scored another five points for Giovanniland and the final score of 12-0 remained unchanged for the last few minutes. At long last, the Giovannilandiana had won a match in this World Cup. Post-Match: Giovanniland is currently placed fourth in Group 2, although the possibility of advancing to quarterfinals is still possible. Sports fans from United Adaikes have shown that all five nations in Group 2 can still qualify, although Min-Su, Dalimbar and Mediobogdum have a greater chance than Giovanniland and Bobki due to having more points. Further analysis by our Rugby Report shows the possible outcomes of Matchday 5 games and which ones would be favorable for our team: Match 1 (Dalimbar vs. Giovanniland) Match 2 (Bobki vs. Mediobogdum) Nations Advancing (1st, 2nd) Dalimbari win (any point difference) Mediobogdumian win (any point difference) Dalimbar, Mediobogdum Draw Dalimbar, Min-Su Bobkian win (any point difference) Draw Mediobogdumian win (any point difference) Dalimbar, Mediobogdum Draw Dalimbar, Min-Su Bobkian win (any point difference) Giovannilandian win (18 points or less) Mediobogdumian win (any point difference) Mediobogdum, Min-Su Draw Min-Su, Dalimbar Bobkian win resulting in a PD* equal or smaller than the Dalimbari Bobkian win resulting in a PD greater than the Dalimbari Min-Su, Bobki Giovannilandian win (greater than 18 points) Mediobogdumian win (any point difference) Mediobogdum, Min-Su Draw Min-Su, Giovanniland Bobkian win resulting in a PD equal or smaller than the Giovannilandian Bobkian win resulting in a PD greater than the Giovannilandian Min-Su, Bobki * PD = point differential Note that, despite the Minsun team having a point differential two points greater than the Mediobogdumians, any rugby win requires at least 3 points from a drop goal/penalty kick or 5 from a try. Therefore, a Mediobogdum win will place them above Min-Su regardless of score. In conclusion, Giovanniland must score a lot of points in the upcoming match against Dalimbar and hope that Mediobogdum does not win its match against Bobki.
  24. Giovannilandian Rugby Report - 2nd Match Minsu 12-6 Giovanniland Drop Goals: Tommaso Kandido Silva (29'), Lukio Katullo-Vittori (32') First Half: It was not even 10 minutes past the clock and the Minsun had scored a try. Despite that, the valiant Giovannilandians did not give up, as a win would get them back up in a more comfortable position in Group 2. Nearing the end of the first half, two of our players successfully scored one drop goal each, giving Giovanniland a half-time lead! Second Half: The first thirty minutes of the second half were quite uneventful, with the Giovannilandian defense stopping the Minsun players, but likewise, the Giovannilandian attack also not scoring any further points. Still, our team had the lead of one point. Unfortunately, another try was scored by Min-Su followed by a conversion. This gave the Minsun a lead of 12-6, which remained unaltered for the last few minutes. It was another loss to the Giovannilandian team at the hands of another nation in their first Rugby World Cup tournament. Post-Match: Giovanniland is in dire need of points and will play against the fellow Auran nation of Bobki in the 4th matchday. Our team will need to win the matches against both Bobki and Dalimbar if they want to advance to the quarterfinals, and also hope that the Dalimbari and the Minsun do not score too much in their next games.
