That Called the Vlagh Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 So, instead of just blindly going forward with discussions, I think it might be best to have some form of timetable in place for the Convention. This is what I envision at present but I am open to suggestions for modifications: I. Open Debate - Style of government - Structure of government - Limits of government (Now to 5 May 2015) II. Formulation of Proposals - Formal consolidation of government structures for voting Cormac's Union of the West Pacific Llamas's West Pacific Constitutional Act (5 May 2015 to 12 May 2015) III. Voting on proposal(s) Ratification vote on the Charter of the Union of the West Pacific (12 May 2015 to 19 May 2015) Note: This is just a general layout and can be modified if necessary because of general consensus or whatever
Reçueçn Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I think this makes lots of sense. Although I predict that we'll not be able to keep up with your schedule--especially the second step I can see taking a while. A little bit of pressure may be good though.
Darkesia Posted April 28, 2015 Posted April 28, 2015 I know it stretches things out, but for the sake of RL, I will suggest including a weekend in each area or especially section 1 and 2
Consular Posted April 29, 2015 Posted April 29, 2015 I have opinions to do RL and dont know if I'll be able to add to my proposal along this timeline. Will try though! Darkesia 1
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Just a reminder that tomorrow is the scheduled wrap-up day for open discussion. At present, only Cormac has presented a firm governmental proposal. I would suggest that others interested in presenting alternative forms of government get to work so that we have more than one option to discuss moving forward from tomorrow. Llamas 1
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 It seems that we now have two forms of government submitted for discussion for this second phase of the Convention: Cormac's Union of the West Pacific Llamas's West Pacific Constitutional Act
Elegarth Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Cormac's proposal is gonna have an updated version soon Vlagh, just for the record.
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Thank you for letting me know. I will correct the link once it has been proposed.
Consular Posted May 6, 2015 Posted May 6, 2015 I did warn that my ideas weren't going anywhere in a hurry.
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 11, 2015 Author Posted May 11, 2015 Please finalize your drafts so that voting can begin tomorrow or Wednesday.
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 Should I assume that the Cormac draft is the only completed draft that we will be voting on? Llamas?
Llamas Posted May 12, 2015 Posted May 12, 2015 Should I assume that the Cormac draft is the only completed draft that we will be voting on? Llamas? I don't think I'll be able to finish it. AP testing. :/
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 I don't think I'll be able to finish it. AP testing. :/ The timetable is flexible. If you would like to see a draft of your proposal put up for the vote we can accommodate that provided it is within a reasonable amount of time. How long would you need? Or, conversely, if you are fine without submitting a final draft, are you okay if we move forward with an approval vote for Cormac's legislation?

I believe that moving forward with Cormac's legislation would be fine, as it is possible to revise it later to improve the voting method used.
That Called the Vlagh Posted May 12, 2015 Author Posted May 12, 2015 Okay, thank you for your quick reply.
