    Please swear the following oath of citizenship:

    I, Bhang Bhang Duc, swear that I have, to the best of my knowledge, been completely truthful in applying for citizenship in The West Pacific and that I have no other NationStates identity that has not been made known in this application. I swear my allegiance to The West Pacific and its citizens, and I swear not to engage in hostilities against The West Pacific or to violate The Manners of Governance, the constitution of The West Pacific, or any laws made pursuant to that constitution.

  2. Still behind with everything, so haven't touched this.

    However, did have a thought today. I would like to recognise people's input into this and also further tweak Ivo's nose.  Based on a remark by Ivo when we closed our in-game embassy I thought I could create a nation called "TWP Anti-Invader Dream Team" and name it as co-author.

    What do you think?

  3. Bit behind on this due to my recent illness (very hard to concentrate with a throbbing eardrum).  As I said once I've tweaked this I'm going to ask the opinion of a couple of SC mates.  I may also go straight to submission - considering TI aren't very happy with us at the moment I don't want them getting in ahead of me with a selfie.  And publishing in the SC thread could give them the time to do that.

    Anyway I'm on holiday after Monday so should get some time this week to do the work.

  4. One of the things I would like to do is get an authorship for a WA proposal and as my "expertise" does lie in the SC and as I think it's about time the publicity The Invaders have been seeking paid off here's a slightly salty draft.

    Understanding that The Invaders see themselves as the natural successors to the justly defunct raider groups The Black Riders and DEN;

    Realising that despite their pretensions to greatness they remain a decidedly second class unit, especially when compared to such premier groups as The Black Hawks and Hydra Command;

    Noting that their numerous short-term occupations of regions have led to numerous complaints such as:

    • Suppression of native communications
    • The forced relocation of natives from their home
    • Table manners that would make a monkey blush and
    • Poor personal hygiene

    Requesting that on their next raid they learn to use a knife and fork and remember to bring the soap;

    Hoping that this Condemnation will encourage them to greater efforts and to follow their predecessors into oblivion;

    Hereby Condemns The Invaders

    Comments etc welcome.

    Role of TWP's Minister for WA Affairs

    1. Post copies of resolutions queued or at vote in the appropriate TWP forum
    2. Maintain the status of resolutions (IN QUEUE, AT VOTE, PASSED, FAILED and more rarely PULLED/DISCARDED) in threads
    3. Supply a commentary on the resolutions (is it good, bad or meh) and reasons why
    4. Recommend a vote to the Delegate and the TWP forum members (For, Against or follow the majority vote of TWP WA nations)
    5. If a resolution should be strongly supported or strongly opposed the Minister is to telegram the Delegate asking them to cast their vote appropriately as soon as possible after the resolution comes to vote
    6. If the Minister writes a GA/SC proposal that they enter into the queue then they should not request approval of their proposal from the Delegate
    7. Likewise if said proposal reaches quorum then they should recuse themselves from comment in the forum thread on the proposal's merits and not request support from forum members and the Delegate

    The Minister should have experience in either the GA or SC and should have a working knowledge of the rules of one of those bodies.  It would be nice to have experience in both, but it is unusual to find someone operating in both areas due to their very different natures and rules.

    Please post your comments below - I will work any changes into the role description as appropriate.

  6. I remember the Dominion. I remember being approached by Berm who sensed I was not happy with their takeover (I wasn't). Honestly can't remember what happened next, but I do remember Neenee resigning the Delegacy (I think I sent her a couple of telegrams urging her to resign. I think I was fairly blunt, for which very belated apologies if I haven't  already said sorry.)

    Berm asked me to be on the Council of Reconciliation, which started to do its job but stopped when Biyah took full and sole resposibility for the Dominion.

    Biyah went to trial under our then Constitution with Enegro Montoya as his defence lawyer. EM ripped us apart using our very own rules (genius bit of work). Caused the collapse of the Constitution - the resultant paralysis as a new constitution was argued and discussed led to the West Pacific Triumvirate.

    But that's another story.

  7. Discussions on GA and SC proposals should take place in their respective forums - proposals in the queue or at vote are always posted there as well as my opinion on them as WA Minister.

    So considering that this resolution has passed there is no point in continuing this discussion.
