“Big news out of Bundaberg today” One news anchor said

“In a joint statement from the governments of Aftokratoria, Clarinatia, and Czuleck, a new defense initiative called “IDES” was announced” Said the other

“According to the organization's website, the ‘Island Defense Entente Scheme’, based in Evimeronia is meant to deter any aggression against the Northern Nur Islands” Said a third

Back to the first anchor, “The organization compels all members to come to each other’s aid if any of them are attacked within their own territory… it remains to be seen how effective this alliance will be at deterring aggression, or if any of the members will answer the call if it comes to pass”

The TV turns off suddenly as Vice Admiral Niel Halloran comes to a conclusion aboard the CNS Prince of Verdia. “Take us South, I have a feeling they’ll need us for this…”

And with that command, the Thulian fleet of Clarinatia turned South to join up with its Viatic and Terassic counterparts, as everyone knew what this was about

Being a direct democracy in function, it became clear very quickly that it is unfeasible to have the public vote on every issue.
To attempt to fix this issue, a party system formed, whereby every Clarinatian may register with a party, and if they met the requirements to vote but decided not to, they would be considered as voting with their party.
All Clarinatians have the option of switching parties, and voting independently of them at any time, but most elections go by with the majority trusting their chosen party to vote the way they want. This does mean that there are several political parties, and political power is very distributed.
Most governments are coalitions of several parties, as if you get enough consistent votes to get a majority you can govern effectively from there

The largest political parties currently are:
Monarchist Party CN: 1,749,314 votes (23.8%)
Wish to strengthen the monarch, and allow the government more leeway to intervene in the economy
Anti-Monarchiste Republicains: 1,635,534 votes (22.3%)
Believe that the current strength of the crown is sufficient, and wish to officiate the republic and make the king a president
Direct Democrats: 1,491,744 votes (20.3%)
Wish to maintain current crown strength, but increase legislative strength and expand social programs
Socialist Party Clarinatia: 975,384 votes (13.3%)
Want to completely change the fabric of Clarinatia into a socialist system. Very willing to moderate for small changes, often called "conservative socialists"
Anarchists: 603,086 votes (8.23%)
Believe that the current government is too strong, and that they should follow the Czuleck example and become an anarchic confederation
Liberal-Conservative Party: 476,130 votes (8.22%)
Wish for slow change, and small, efficient social programs
Militarists: 263,582 votes (3.59%)
Desperately wish to establish a Clarinatian army, and allow the government to introduce conscription when at war.
Minor Parties (less than 100k votes): 285,303
Current government:
MPCN+Direct Democrats+LCP+Militarists (55.91%)

Exactly 574 days, or 18months and a couple of days have gone by since the last update on the effects of the rather sudden change in government. Democracy has cchanged, traffic has changed, the economy, public transport, laws and regulations, even general life has all changed. Fauthur is now a vastly different country than it once was, and that shows in all aspects of life, even in all walks of life.
On to the points of change. How have all these changes affected people and the country? Is the transformstion complete? How do thinks work differently? And most importantly, what is now in place to hinder a non-democratic government from going back?
Well, let’s start off slowly, with the points spoken about 574 days ago, and let’s elaborate a bit further on them, even bring out new points, all to comprehend the difference, the crucial change that has taken hold.
The government, as it can now call itself successfully, is deeply established, no more a provisional one that could make even the most reserved person laugh aloud. They brought in policies and changes, making the populace quite content with it. They’ve shown that they care about democracy, even reinstated elections, worked out a whole new process (which can be found in the factbook) and set many policies in place to remain as a stable government, showing promise and seeding relieve among the population. Back then it still had the problem of bureaucracy being far too much to handle, though they’ve made a lot of progress in modernization and evaluating, hiring and optimizing processes. Still, the backlog is still ever so present, showing the ineffectiveness of the prior administration. Estimates say that catching up to the present level of issues, it would take about 6 years of day and night shifts. The mail however has stabilized as it now takes on median just 1 week and 1 day to arrive, which is noteworthy but can be improved.
The general life in Fauthur at this date is best to be described as a pool of opportunities waiting for people, present healthcare and education are a given at this stage. The previously enacted policies by the prior administration are now almost gone, with no real effects to feel anymore. Major cutbacks and liberations in place, there are for certain no more curfews, no more public surveillance, except for security measures in many buildings to reduce crime. Armed patrols are only used on the borders for the present. It is paramount to add, that the happiness in Fauthur, as surveyed by many independent surveyors, shows a 30% increase in contrast to the 16th of october 1423, though in recent events the happiness seems to have waned down to 22 percent, due to the international backlash of some of the governments actions taken on the world stage. Welfare policies remain the same, with marginal improvements, as the backlog of bureaucracy fades and public services are on the rise, as even citizens can, through a tedious and secure process, secure funding for several services in regions and cities where they are not so much present.
Public transport operates now free of charge in larger parts of Fauthur, excluding railway transport, as it can not be financed at this time. The government is moving on a thin line to manage spending and income and has to pay attention not to cut back or change too much in any aspect of Fauthur as it can cause volatile changes to the economy. The debt taken upon the government to stabilize the country after the change is enormous, but being paid off ever so slightly. With the recent events in the Aftokratorian Affair and the Viatic Ocean, the economy is attacked a major amount, leading to a slight decline in just about everything.
The education of Fauthur has been revamped and shows successful implementation of electronics into the system, though exams and tests are still written by pen and paper. The digitalisation of education plan has been almost completed and just about every school been fitted with TVs, brand new computers and other important electronics. This has led to a scientifically proven increase in productivity, but in a slight decline of writing quality.
Getting back to the point of public transport, the railway network was, or still is, majorly outdated and in need of a renewal. Significant funding has gone into the railway transport, but only for cargo being transported, this has the effect of still rejuvenating used tracks and letting the old reserve passenger trains run their course on the network, exempt from environmental regulations. It turned out that the expanding of the network and building new stations and tracks took too much of a strain on the budget, and was a bad decision as the monthly costs turned out too devastating to justify spending more. The administration is now working on a new railway plan, even planning to implement an independent railway infrastructure administration in every state, “starting from scratch” in all major regions. To this day, it remains a major money pit and economical issue that will be present in Fauthur for generations to come. As an addition, tram networks in major cities work fine. The planned reintegration of public transport by train by the end of 1425 was a far too ambitious target and will be moved to 1436 as a temporary and interchangeable date.
Transport by bus has been expanded in 1423,  now shining at the forefront of Nuran competition as it was the largest investment into Transport overall since the government change, leading to up to date busses in all but the most remote Fauthurian places, a voluntary fee of 50 Presence Coins to use the bus and the divide of compartments, allowing for women and children to use the bus services safely. As stated by the government in 1423 the ticket prices were a “fair exchange of services”. Reflecting on that and as a comment from the current government, it is now stating that “The ticket prices, or rather the voluntary fee was instituted to help reduce co2 pollution and incentivize the use of public transportation, as traffic plays a significant role in Fauthur. The infrastructure of public transportation is well-funded, but still gets 1,5 million Presence Token yearly just from voluntary fees, some even varying in amount.” Another point from the previous report was traffic laws and road maintenance. Here, the government changed speed limits, set up speed traps and funneled money into the highway and main city connections, which worked out well in reducing congestion in multiple parts of Fauthur and an improvement of noise and air pollution was reported. The government wanted change on another major issue, the low MPG cars. These are scheduled to be completely abandoned by 1427, though several reconsiderations came up and the date has been revised to the start of 1430, with more incentives plopping up across the industry. As the new production and efficiency standards hit the market, it was not well received and almost crippled the then current automobile industry irreversibly in many parts, though it has been rehabilitated, still heavily reliant on Kalmash car imports and retrofitting for the new guidelines.
The international political stage for Fauthur evolved for far worse than anticipated, with the Aftokratorian Affair already affecting citizens in 1423, sanctions and a more aggressive stance towards Aftokratoria  by a major margin. Hostility, pessimism and overall divide leads the sentiment of the citizens regarding foreign people and other countries. The citizens have proven to be quite xenophobic, especially since the majority of the population went through the era of oppression with the prior administration. The economy thus far is in a slight decline, which is a direct result of sanctions from other countries and the Aftokratorian Affair. A major step in the economy was stabilizing it. At the start of the new administration, the economy was a very volatile and drastic one, changing drastically every hour, using up all of the remaining money of the government for stabilization, leading to an uptake in government debt, which proved to be the much needed barrier to slowly stabilize the economy after such drastic overall changes. Before the sanctions in the Viatic Ocean Affair, a medium amount of debt was repaid as a measure of reducing debt to GDP ratio and reducing interest rates. So far, the stable but slight decline is nonetheless a positive thing, in that the market is largely stable as it is.
It has been an arduous time in Fauthurian history, as the radical changes happened all throughout the country, to ensure a quick and specific change away from the oppressive regime that once plagued its citizens.
Sure, issues still persist and will be major projects to be worked on, though no country can and will be perfect, especially not after such radical changes and so little time.

Give it time and it will prosper. Rush it and it will die off.
With this sentiment, although some and many times hard to go through with, is a rewarding and beautiful process, delicately letting you consider your choices and the choices your country makes.

Thus, this marks the end of the transition to a democracy, although flawed, it is one. And the citizens are proud of that fact, and no one can take that from them.

Finest Hour: The Great Nuran War
The year is 1341, and a great tension can be felt throughout Nur. The Kalmachian Empire, a feared hegemon on the continent, rules its colonial territories with great determination. Its rule extends from the Imperial capital of Easthaven, all the way South to the Qyrene Gulf, and from the rolling Ionian hills in the West to the rocky cliffs of Ostronia in the east. Its power is vast, its people loyal, and yet there is a palpable tension, an air of unease, in the Nuran air. The 1340s stand as a time of revolution and reform, of blood and iron, where young men and women agitate for independence in the city of Astenburg, frigates under the imperial banner conduct drills in the Sideric seas, and factory workers toil in eastern factories, producing as many tanks as their country demands of them.

Welcome to Finest Hour: The Great Nuran War! In this RP, we'll simulate the rocky 1340s in Nur, where a period of anti-imperial sentiment and Kalmachian repression plunged the continent into a destructive war that raged for half a decade. In this RP, we'll start in the year 1341, the year in which members of the INLF, the Ionian National Liberation Front, declare unilateral independence from Kalmach. The war will be fought between two opposing camps, those being:
The Astenburg Entente: Named after the Ionian capital of Astenburg, the Astenburg entente refers to a loose coalition of anti-Kalmachian powers who are intent on destroying Kalmachian supremacy over Nur. The two leading powers of the coalition are the Grand Republic of Ionia, whose unilateral declaration of independence was intended to be the first domino that would lead to the collapse of the Kalmachian empire, as well as the Kherate of Inseberistan, whose dissatisfaction with the Kalmachian colonial authorities in the neighbouring Ostronia make for some serious border frictions between them.
The Imperial Concordat: Refers to the loose confederation of states that are either part of the larger Kalmachian empire, such as its loyal colonies in Qyr and Ostronia, but also to countries that chose to establish deeper ties to Kalmachia because of strategic considerations of rivalries with anti-Kalmachian states and organisations.

Navigate your country through the tumultuous 1340s, where technological innovations make the horrors of war more terrible than ever-imagined, totalitarian ideologies consume the public's imagination and bellicose governments come knocking for recognition and support.

RULES
1. The TWP RP Guidance on Session Zero is to be observed at all times.
2. To not derail a conflict that is supposed to have been fought primarily in Nur,
The right to declare and fight 'open' war is reserved to Nuran countries.

7. Having fun is a mandatory requirement to playing in this RP.
All participants that aren't having fun will be rounded up and summarily executed.
TIME PROGRESSION
Countries get a lot of discretion about how they'd like to work with our very flexible chronology.
We would like to give countries the space and time to write out whatever stories they want to explore,
whilst also maintaining a pace that's enjoyable for the rest of the players participating.
The only quantifiable rule about pacing is that chronology must be linear:
A country cannot suddenly go back in time and change its behaviour or decisions.
Other than that, the aim is to come together and create a fun and engaging story for everybody;
the leniency specific countries get with their timing isn't supposed to be exploited, and if any troubles
do come up further down the road, we'll solve them together.
The RP starts in January 1341, and time will slowly go on and on until we reach the end of this RP, which is set to be around 1345 / 1346.
The speed of this RP will be decided by the players, and said players are encouraged to make it so that maintain chronological cohesion. Chronological differences between one post and the next may absolutely exist: if one part of the front is quiet and players want to progress to the next month, they shouldn't be held up by players on another front. However, we ask that discrepancies between timelines are kept to a minimum. In this regard, a balance between playability and orderly, cohesive storytelling should be found.
MAP
A map showcasing the different belligerents in this war is TBD.
FAQ
Any inquiries about the conflict or its background can be asked in the
TWP Roleplay Discord server. All countries in Esforos are free and encouraged to join and contribute to the story at large.

Special thanks to Inseberistan, Ostronia, Ionia and Kalmach for helping me with this war. They are my CO-OPs.

Introduction

The Principality of Ageros (Ageran:Na Fyrónsacht a Ága Rós) is a sovereign island nation and principality in the north of the continent of Aura in Esferos. Ageros has a population of 981,670 people. A majority of the population at around 30% live in the capital Morvik (pop.294,000) and its hinterland. The second city of Ageros is Halfí(pop.49,000) which lies directly east of Morvik across the central lowland plain, altogether 4 of Ageros’ 5 largest settlements are on this flatter, highly agriculturally productive part of the isle and the Dassúr plain makes up 60% of the population of Ageros as well as 70% of Ageran GDP. The rest of the island of Ageros is characterised by its central highlands the infamous Rúlrin mountains, a scenic yet extreme interior filled with vast valleys lined with thick temperate forests, stunning waterfalls and a stunning myriad of flora and fauna. Since the constitution of Ageros was codified in 1310 the island has been a democratic constitutional monarchy. Voting in the principality occurs through proportional representation and the people are represented in the unicameral Parliament known as the Dhiringúr which as of the 1424 elections has 60 members. The head of government of Ageros is the Premier of Ageros. Ageros has a multi-party system with the current ruling party being the Cora á Landa (Land Party). Ageros is world renowned for its high quality of life, unique culture and beautiful wild landscapes.
Geography
Ageros is an island nation that lies at the most northerly point of the continent of Aura with the Frossen Strede to its north, the North Slagg Narrows to its south, the Tethys Sea to its west and the Timeworn Sea to its east. The principality territorially consists of the island of Ageros itself as well as several smaller islands off its coast. The largest of these smaller islands is Glanna, a long thin island to the east of the mainland. Overall Ageros is 81,585 Km2 in size (31,500 sq mi). Ageros is closest in proximity to Ryxtylopia being separated from it by the North Slagg Narrows. Einherfell lies to the north and United Adaikes to the west.
Topographically Ageros is varied. There are four distinct mountain ranges on the island that form the shape of long ridges stretch from west to east across the island. These are the Southern Upland, Northern Upland, Dór mountains and Rúlrin mountains. Of these ranges the Rúlrins are the largest in area and highest in elevation. The tallest mountain in Ageros is Súlfoss which sits at 1,010 metres. There are also several valleys that punctuate the island. The largest of these is the Central Lowland Plain which is the most populated part of the country. At either end of the central lowlands lie the capital of Ageros, Morvik and the nation’s second city Halfí.

The landscape of Ageros from its coast to mountains and its rivers
Ageros also has several large lakes. These largest of these is Haefaerí located in the centre of the north of the isle. Haefaerí is an important body of water culturally for the Ageran people and a vast quantities of sagas and annals take part on its shores as does folk legends with many legendary Ageran folk creatures set to live in its waters. It is one of the most pristine and beautiful bodies of water in Esferos with the Rúlrins to its south and the Northern Upland to, you guessed it, the north. To the southwest lie the Haedes, three lakes the largest of which is called Haede Mór.
The Ageran coastline is punctuated by cliffs, sandy beaches, inlets sounds and dunes. Ageros is also one of the most densely forested parts of Esferos. Roughly 87% of Ageros is covered in Temperate Forest made up of a variety of broadleaf trees. The most densely forested parts of the nation are the aforementioned four uplands as well as the Kolingúr area of the south of the island. These forests are not monocultural, on the island exist temperate rainforests, coniferous and mixed categories.

As already mentioned in Chapter 1, Fauthur is located in the North-West of Nur, situated on the border of the Great Pacific Ocean and the countries of Kalmach (The UNK) and Campa Simpatica to the North-East and Noton Mast, aswell as Apexiala to the West.

On the different Specifics in the chapters, it wil mostly show informational things like cities, national parks, weather graphs, roads, and tourist attractions.

Once we have taken a swift look at this map, you can count all official 13 States that occupy The United Republics of Fauthur.
Then let's move down a layer so we can see a map of the 36 Districts Fauthur is divided by.

The North
As one can see, the northern states of the URF are Berklozt, Hoita, and Brae, aswell as the northern parts of Ghask. This region has been around for a very long time in history and were "colonised" before the other Fauthurian states and therefore holds a vast majority of the countrie's sightseeing attractions such as the oldest standing building in Fauthur or the 13 meter high statue of one of the resistance leaders which helped pry Fauthur free from the oppressive hands of the, back then highly oppressive and imperialist, Kalmach. Furthermore it is where most of the important trade ports are being maintained for easy trade to the northern regions of Nur and round east.

The Politics of Fauthur
Chapter  4
Politics
The Government And How It Works
Fauthur has a somewhat complicated system when it comes to enacting laws or making general changes to the government and governing laws.
Here is a short text explaining the processes of the government, and what they do.

Every year is a voting cycle. Here the people can vote for a party. If a party gets the highest votes for the cycle, they may elect a Head of Government (HoG) within their party. Every two years, there is a minority party voting cycle. Here the minority voting parties get thrown in with the parties already in congress to see if they will surpass the voting threshold to be elegible for a representative seat in congress                            The party which got the highest votes will have a seat in Government, as the reigning government power, along with the Head of Government                                                                                                            The Head of Government gets 5-10 votes in the congress according to how sizeable the congress is                                                                                    For a law, act, resolution or similar to be passed, the congress, which votes on that, needs atleast a 60% positive voting rate for it to be passed. Whereas the reigning party needs needs to rely on atleast one other party, also depending on how sizeable, to pass such a law, act, resolution or similar                                                                                                                                                                                                                                             The Congress is made out of about 450~550 politicians                                                                                                                                                             For a party to become elegible to be voted for in congress, it needs to pass a voting popularity of 2.5% in the 2 year minority party votes                                                                                                         The congress may hold emergency elections/votings if over 68% of the populace are not satisfied/ unhappy with the current congress or even both Head of Government and Head of State. Public surveys have to be held by the Head of Government on at max. a two year basis. One may also hold the surveys sooner. If the Head of Government fails to do so, they will be immediately removed from power and the voting cycle gets initiated early
1.Once the HoG is chosen, the Head of State (HoS) election process begins. (Note that the HoS election process may only be started, once 5 years from the previous election has passed) The HoG may pick 6 candidates whom must not have been HoG or HoS in the past 10 years and must not exceed 2 canditates from their own party                                                                                                                                                                 The candidates that were picked get to be voted on by the populace. Once the populace have voted, a new Head of State will be elected                                                                                      The new HoS will now be able to manually elect a small cabinet of ministers for the minister positions and from here will act as a ceremonial piece in the Government, something like a king or a president to meet other Heads of States along with the Head of Government

There have, after the recent change in government, been 6 political parties that were instituted to satisfy the public voting needs. These Parties consist of:

The Economy of Fauthur
Chapter 5

Inspired by the following countries situated on the same geographical y axis as Fauthur (slightly above the equator): Nicaragua, Panama, Nigeria, Columbia, Phillippines. Also inspired by: Hungary, Bolivia, Norway

Fauthur has a sizable economy in Nur, being among the xxxxxx of Nuran nations.vThe Fauthurian GDP spans xxx Billion. The unemployment rate is 4.5% of the population and the currency is the PT, the Presence Token, which is valued at xxxUSD for one PT
Fauthur is an import nation, focusing on a specialized variety of good and products to export. The people are driven to be wary of consumerism at an early age and the country is trying to be mostly self sufficient, which hasn’t been successful for a long time.
Main import resources are
xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Fauthur gets these resources, by importing from:
xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Also, Fauthur is trying to be self sufficient,  but also is exporting an excess of the following ressoruces, obtained in plentiful Ressource pools:
Wood Xxx Xxx Xxx The biggest export markets are:
xxx Xxx Xxx Xxx Fauthur’s annual growth rate is valued at a mean of xx% a year and the regional development is mostly even, with only parts of Northern nur lacking behind a small bit.

1.1 Forestry
Fauthur’s main economical growth originates from its forestry industry. With very large zones of forest, practically the whole country is covered by subtropical broadleaf and monsoon forests, ready for extensive forestry. It is estimated that Forestry is responsible for around xx% of the GDP and contributes xx% to the yearly growth of the country.  It is such an excessive resource, that the forestry industry is set to work slowly in some areas, to counteract a too full reserve of wood. The government isn’t putting any worth on preservation, except on some community and state zoned areas and national parks, so most forest is fair game for private and government development.
The largest forestry industry is active in West Fauthur, bringing in xxxx tons of the overall xxxxx tons of wood produced a year. Many Fauthurian homes are built with an all wood inside, with stone, rebar and concrete finishing the base and outside walls. Every new home in Fauthur incorporates a full-wooden interior, much to the delight on Kids, who get splinters on a regular basis.

1.2 Mineral Resources
Fauthur has many hills and even a small mountain range in the middle of the country. There have been many prospecting attempts over the years, starting to really come into focus around the start of 1400.
Prospecting has shown, that Fauthur has a lot of potential in mining and has already established a well developed mining sector, being responsible for 0.9% of its GDP.
The major resources being extracted and processed are:
Gold (xxx tons/year) Coal (xxx tons/year) Zinc (xxx tons/year) Iron (xxx tons/year) A small amount of petroleum (xxx gallons/year) Trace amounts of tungsten (xxx tons/year) A recent initiative in 1420 laid a foundation for the further expansion of mining operations, provided the resource pools are big enough to controllably last atleast 30 years with the current mining pace, and that no residents may be disturbed within 5 km of a mining operation.
The Fauthurian law “Industrial smoke and pollutant regulation” forbids the capture of CO2 and other pollutants, as the pollutants dissolve in the atmosphere. A small amount of surcharge is applied to major corporations polluting the air, as an initiative to gain more money for the federal reserves.

Chapter  8

Sports in Fauthur are widely regarded as a fun pastime, with vast differences between regions.
Sports, that Fauthur regards as national sports, are racing sports. These include Rallye, Rallye-cross, Formula Fauthur and rarely but on the rise: “everyday races”. These are racing including the everyday common car, modified for racing on streets and sometimes on the countryside. It is popular, because the “everyday races” racing series uses cars mostly used by the everyday Fauthurian, and even some retro cars.
Fauthur has multiple Formula Fauthur teams, one of which, “Epsilon Fira Racing”, had made it to the Esferos F1 cup years ago and is still celebrated by the feat of reaching such a high ranking racing league.
Additionally, Fauthur hosts drag races instead of horse races, but with modified, street legal cars.
The only difference with that lies in the east, where sports like football, badminton and ice-hockey are part of everyday life and lived by many.
At last, Fauthur has a very own sport originating from West Fauthur. It comes from a small village on the southern west coast, hosting a quadathon annualy, which was eventually picked up by native tourists and continued over generations. A Quadathon is like a triathlon, just different. It consists of 4 stages, which were originally: swimming, cycling, chopping a tree and lastly a 200 meter sprint. Winner is, who at the end has the least amount of time in total for finishing every stage. In modern day though, the swimming has been replaced by jet skis and the cycling stage has been replaced by Horsepower limited microcars. 1425 hosts the 265th Quadathon.

The Media of Fauthur
Chapter  9

The invention of media, such as the first printed books and newspapers dates back to the year 850, when the printing press’ invention reached Fauthur. Starting off from that, and the rapid spread of delivery per carriage and even coast to coast mail, the news of the news spread and a year later, the whole nation was able to digest newspapers and wonkily mass printed books 2 days after they first came into the world. It was also 851 where Fauthur’s oldest newspaper company came into life, named “The New West”, stretching on till modern day. After that, media in Fauthur remained at that status for centuries, with the rumors of stuff happening slowly waining due to the prominence of newspapers. News outlets, media companies fluctuating, as many couldn’t hold out during the economic crises and the great mass hysteria period of 1154, as only the local state news outlets got the backing from the state to continue running, even in the most extreme of times.
Thus, shortly before the turn of the 13th century, “The New West” was promoted by the then still monarchic government, to the first national Fauthurian news outlet, due to its perseverance, even when government backing was short and the devotion of the journalists to work full days for free and a bread as a wage.
1330, the first FM, non military broadcast swept from the south of Fauthur to the capital, West Fauthur and gave way to the distribution of FM radios to the public 2 years later, after refining the signal for clarity. 1335, the first transmissions from other continents (tbd, nation in search, dm me on discord for collaboration) reach the Fauthurian public, to be worked into the world broadcasting network. Radios quickly became a part of life, present everywhere. In parks, homes, at work, at the dentist, in aeroplanes and even soon in driving rustbuckets they call cars. It was revolutionary for news and entertainment, as the first music producers and publishing companies rose from the ground to retake old songs and put them into the radio for the pleasure of the people. Until the advancement of the television in Fauthur, there were 120 radio stations available for the public, blasting music, news and a plethora of other categories, such as story reading and monotone sounds 24/7.
That number just increased as the television became ever more present in 1360, adding cable television and even color in 1367.
Fauthur originally started out with “The Big Five”, these are the still present first five news broadcasting channels, along with the fifth being later converted to a normal channel, broadcasting TV-Series, trash TV and the normal morning, midday and evening news rounds. Building a good Television broadcasting Network in Fauthur, cost the government a fortune all for modernisation and the entertainment of the people, also seeing that Fauthur was and still is quite lacking behind on the Esferosian stage. Early 1400, the first satellite was launched into space for satellite television in Fauthur, more to follow up Over the years, with the incoporation of online TV channels, streaming services and generally the internet, which is now regarded as the main entertainment supplier, with some Fauthurian companies specializing solely in streaming services, totally lacking the functionality, and effectively replacing traditional TV channels.
At present, there are 524 Fauthurian TV Channels for all needs, public private and streaming channels, as well as 157 Radio broadcasting stations and 400-700 news outlets, broadcasting and media companies and newspapers, be it locally, stately, nationally or internationally.

1.1 - Education

Fauthur boasts an extensive education sector, with public and private schools clustered about everywhere you can think of. Comprehensive schools exist in a large number of cities, which combine every grade up until graduation with the highest possible educational degree that is not a university or college. The curriculum of all schools up to but not including colleges or universities are mandated by the government and can be influenced state by state.
Universities and Colleges may have their own curriculums for classes, provided they are state and government approved. Yearly, xx% of the nation’s government budget flows into education, with the government striving to keep the population literate. The Educational sector of Fauthur is the most well-structured and invested social sector in Fauthur.
The Educational System in Fauthur is structured into 4 Divisions of education.
The first Division is pre-school, this is where children from the age of 3 go to, to get prepared for elementary school, which starts at the 6th year of life. Here, children mostly have free time, do activities that develop speaking, writing and basic math skills up to the number 10. It is common for pre-schools to have a break at 3pm in the afternoon to have a snack pause, including fresh fruits and vegetables and in the summers, ice cream. The Fauthurian government mandates a free lunch and at least 4 trips to educational facilities, such as museums or just the local forest, in close proximity to the pre-schools, in a year.
The second division is elementary school, where children from the ages 6 to 12 go through a grade each year. Elementary in Fauthur lasts to the 6th grade, with children starting to learn the process of fractions. All elementary schools are mandated to have the following classes:
Fauthurian Kalmash Maths General sciences Physical Education Religion or Philosophy Arts The most prominent class being “learning life”, where children are taught cooking, cleaning, general knowledge for dangerous places, behavior in society and social etiquette. Secondary schools touch on that subject again with more pressing matters. Most elementary schools have deviations, adding classes that aren’t mandated, like programming or basic level carpentry from grade 5 onwards.
The third division is secondary school, which goes from grade 6 to 12, in which students can earn their first graduation diplomas. A drop out after completing the 10th grade is possible, with the lowest of all graduation diplomas, qualifying for entry level jobs and implementing a limit on how high you can get in a career.
The mandated classes still apply, although in 8th grade, students can choose whether they want to learn (a prominent language tbd) or hone their existent language skills in a “mastery class” of Kalmash or Fauthurian.
The “learning life” class now includes how to file taxes, do paperwork, proficiently fix car problems, as well as general knowledge for everyday problems and money management.
From grade 10 to 12, students get to choose 2 “mastery class” classes from any class currently available in school. The “mastery class” from grade 8 needs to be exchanged, though it is possible to continue to take that “mastery class” as a 3rd “mastery class”
Completing grade 11, students get the medium graduation diploma, qualifying students for colleges and letting students advance in their career with the addition of taking educational courses to advance.
Completing grade 12, students gain the highest normal educational graduation diploma, letting them go to college, university and letting them advance in their careers indefinitely, as long as a higher education is not needed. Getting this graduation diploma is not an easy feat, as 6% of all students fail this graduation level and therefore is connected with a good starting prestige in society.
Fauthur also has public and private universities and colleges, specializing in a plethora of topics and job directions, like applied sciences, education, health, research, which includes things like molecular biology, biology itself, bacterial research and everything connected with that.
The most prestigious universities in Fauthur include:
1. The University of West Fauthur - which includes most of the specializations you can find in Fauthur. It is a highly sought after university, with elite criteria for admission. Thus, it is always difficult to find a free spot here 2. The Gelcc university of applied sciences - Situated in Gelcc, this university has the most comprehensible and extensive applied science study sector in Fauthur, and claims to be the most student friendly in all of Nur, as the student accommodations include a free 2 room apartment, free cafeteria lunch and dinner, and half the cost of a normal university. This is an exceptional university, fully financed by the government, and basically a small city itself with all services paid for, like going to the barber or going grocery shopping. 3. The Hefenium University of technology, research and computer sciences - bustling with activity, the government is trying to keep the programming standards at an all time high, while supplying only the most up to date computer systems Fauthur has to offer. It is also the location of Fauthurs main technological research division
All in all, Fauthur and its citizen are really rich with educational possibilities and reachable schools, as experts say that the mean time needed to travel to a school is counted at 12 and a half minute.

1.2 - Health

Fauthur maintains a universal healthcare system, which is largely financed by the national health insurance and is proud to be covering 100% of its population with the system. The national health insurance is free for children, students, pensioners, people with below average income, handicapped people, government employees.
Fauthur spends xx% of its GDP on healthcare.
The average lifespan is 75.3 years, with the leading mortality rate being respiratory infections, which 48% of the populace contract multiple times throughout their lives. The cause of this can be dated back to the rampant and unregulated industrial pollution, as well as lax climate regulations. Following respiratory infections, cancer is the second highest cause of mortality at 27%, followed by heart disease with ~10%.
There are many disparities between northern and southern Fauthur, due to the vast industrialized regions in southern Fauthur.
New since 5 years ago, the Fauthurian government has put a 50% sales tax on tobacco, to discourage people, especially the younger generation from smoking, as to regulate the high respiratory infection rate. It has been proven, that cigarettes facilitate the chance of getting a respiratory infection and reduce the strength of the immune system.
The current government promotes the practice of keeping high tobacco tax and reducing tobacco sales, but is abstaining from banning tobacco, as it remains a large money making product, with 64% of the population actively smoking.
Fauthur has around 2000 actively operated hospitals, with more being planned. There still is a widespread gap in some places, where reaching a hospital by car would take more than 45 minutes.

Fujai has a total area of 521,912 square kilometers and a population of 7.3 million, mostly concentrated in south and west Saisland and south and east Hasmark. The country is bordered by Dalimbar on the east, shares an extensive border with Cambria to the south, and in the east borders Gloibria and the Cambric exclave of Corentin. Much of its coastline, especially in Saisland, is broken by deep fjords, with large areas covered by forest, tundra, and mountains. Its maritime location heavily moderates its climate, making it relatively temperate compared to its latitude in the east and south, with its coldest locales located in the northwest.
Humans have inhabited what is now Fujai since approximately 11,000 BF. Berganisk peoples have inhabited the region since at least 2800 BF, being recorded in history in the centuries before the Markian Founding as the Saisar, Hasar, and Lanning, comprising along with the Glorar and and  the peoples known as the Næring. The period from roughly 200-500 AF was characterized by migration, settlement, and raiding along the coasts of northern and eastern Polaris. Independent states emerged in Hasmark and Saisland in the early 500s, uniting into the precursor to the modern Fujansk state in 1021. The personal union of Fujai and Gloibria occurred in 1042 in response to growing Cambric influence in the region, failing in 1113 due to the Fujansk Civil War, which established the short-lived Gulhatt Republikk before the monarchy's restoration. The next two centuries were characterized by increasing Dalimbari aggression, with the Lannreid Forbund joining Fujai for protection in 1211, and a succession of wars eating away at Fujai's western territory throughout the 1200s, leading to increased alignment with the Astorians to the south. The disastrous First Northern War (1309-1312) dramatically reduced Fujai's area and began an economic depression leading to the Fujansk Revolution, which established the Red Monarchy, a socialist directorial republic with an elected ceremonial monarch. After a decade of economic reorganization, the ceremonial monarchy was abolished in 1331, leaving the current system in place. The Second Northern War (1357-1365) resulted in the return of much of Fujai's land to mid-1200s borders, and aided in Fujai's postwar economic success. On an international level, Fujai has been closely aligned with the Astorian Union (AU) for over a century, primarily as a defense against Dalimbar, and while not a full member, is a signatory of many AU treaties.
Fujai is one of the few nations to use a directorial system of government. Executive power is vested in the seven-member Stadsråd (State Council), and its members and its Rodd (Voice) are directly elected yearly. The Velkting forms the legislative branch and has the power to initiate recall elections for the Stadsråd. Iren Kristoffshavn serves as the current Rådsrodd, Tova Landsvik as the Speaker of the Velkting, and Aldis Steredal as the Hovudmidjar (Head Mediator).
Fujai uses a democratic socialist economy with universal healthcare, education, housing, transit, and an extensive social security system. These are funded with some of the highest and most progressive taxes in the world. Profit is outlawed in Fujai, and most companies operate as worker cooperatives or are under public ownership. Much power is delegated to the local kommunar, which often leads Fujai to be termed a "decentralized" or "municipal" state, while acknowledging the immense influence of the central government. Other values central to the Fujansk system include the landsuveren (land sovereign) and bypraksis (city practice). Fujai maintains an extremely high ranking in many international metrics, including quality of life, health, education, protection of civil liberties and political freedoms, equality, prosperity, and human development.

Exercising the imagination, experimenting with talents, being creative; these things, to me, are truly the windows to your soul. Remember how free clouds are. They just lay around in the sky all day long. Each highlight must have it's own private shadow. Didn't you know you had that much power? You can move mountains. You can do anything. Just a happy little shadow that lives in there. All those little son of a guns.
This is probably the greatest thing to happen in my life - to be able to share this with you. Learn when to stop. Let's just drop a little Evergreen right here.
Trees grow in all kinds of ways. They're not all perfectly straight. Not every limb is perfect. If you hypnotize it, it will go away. When things happen - enjoy them. They're little gifts. This is unplanned it really just happens. It's cold, but it's beautiful. Sometimes you learn more from your mistakes than you do from your masterpieces.
Just make little strokes like that. I'm sort of a softy, I couldn't shoot Bambi except with a camera. It's life. It's interesting. It's fun. This is your creation - and it's just as unique and special as you are. We don't really know where this goes - and I'm not sure we really care. Anytime you learn something your time and energy are not wasted.

POLITIKK // POLITICS
The government of Fujai is a communal socialist directorial republic split into three branches: the legislative, executive, and mediative. Legislative power is placed in the Velkting, the parliament; executive power is placed in the Statsråd, the council; mediative, or judicial power, is placed in the Statsmidjerjon. Statsråd collectively serves as the head of state and government.
Velktinget
The Velkting is Fujai’s parliament, made up of 211 Velktingsrepresentants (VRs). The Velkting has been a unicameral body since the Folkskongress of 1316 abolished the former upper house, the Højting, among other things. The Velkting is seated in Velktingshuset inside Solrunsborg, Grønnevej 100, Keiserholde.
Functions and Members
The Velkting’s duties focus on acting as the peoples’ representatives, lawmaking, policy, and the running of the Fujansk government. Apart from these, the Velkting has the power to call snap elections for itself and the Statsråd with 60% support. The Velkting elects the Høytalar, the speaker, who is one of the most prominent public figures in Fujai. They are typically the leader of the largest party in the Velkting, though there have been exceptions to that custom.
Velktingsrepresentants must be Fujansk residents of at least 16 years of age at the time of election. VRs are elected for a maximum of two three-year terms.
Elections
Velktingsrepresentants are elected directly using a mixed-member proportional system, where voters cast ranked preference votes for their mixed member district and a vote for political party. 100 VRs are elected through multi-member districts, while the remaining 111 VRs are chosen from open party lists to achieve a proportional distribution of political parties. Elections in Fujai are overseen by the Statskjøsingkomisjon (informally known as Kjøsa).
Statsråd
The Statsråd is the council that serves as the executive power of Fujai. It consists of seven directly elected members, the Rådgafar, who each head one of the seven Ministerjonor. The chair of the council is the Rådsrodd, whose deputy is the Annarrådsrodd, commonly called the Rodd and Annar, respectively.
Elections
Elections for the Statsråd are held yearly concurrently with Velkting elections. Rådgafar are directly elected to specific seats on the Statsråd by ranked choice vote for up to three one-year terms. The positions of Rodd and Annar are elected yearly by approval vote among all candidates running for Rådgafar, and may only serve in that capacity once. Only Velktingsrepresentants are eligible to stand for election and must give up their seat if elected.
Snap elections for all members of the Statsråd (and Velkting) may be called by the Velkting once per year, though not within three months of a regularly scheduled election. Rådgafar elected in this way serve out the rest of their term.
Recall elections for individual Rådgafar may be initiated with 70% support in the Velkting, or by successful public petition.
Functions and Members
The Rådgafar serve as the heads of Fujai's seven Ministerjonor and they serve as the collective head of government of Fujai—no single member is vested with executive power. The Rådsrodd serves merely as a spokesperson and meeting convenor, and not as a leader, per se. The Utanriksrådgafar performs many of the foreign relations tasks that heads of state perform in many other countries.
