  1. You seem to be on some ridiculous crusade to victimise yourself.

Incorrect. For days I have attempted to maintain a discussion within these halls that is completely devoid of my interactions elsewhere, unfortunately, certain parties have refused to engage with me in this manner and have insisted that my OOC activities elsewhere must be considered when addressing my actions here. So, fine. Pierconium, as Delegate of the Pacific and Emperor of the New Pacific Order embodies the region publicly. Since you and others refuse to separate the two then you just accept the consequences of that decision.
  2. So you're resorting to using your position in another region, despite your own belief in duality, as a defence for a crime I never actually accused you of.

What a strange conversation this is.

No, I am adapting my position here to accommodate the position you and others are forcing upon me by continuing to ignore my position on separation. You can not have it both ways. Either you acknowledge my concept of duality or you accept that you and others are alienating the leader of an allied region.
  3. Except that I have the same position regardless of my position in other regions - last I checked I haven't been Delegate of a feeder continuously for the last 12 years - thereby making your position invalid on several levels.

You pointing to my position elsewhere as an influence on my position here is exactly what you stated you weren't doing in the other thread, thus making you a hypocrite.

    There is no try.

  4. So it is your opinion, that the opinion of the Delegate is the only one that matters.

Given your own circumstances I suppose that view makes sense coming from you.

What circumstances are those oh claimer of not pointing to my position within the NPO as an impetus of my actions? Hypocrite.

I have always supported the rights of the sitting Delegate in any GCR that I have been a part of. Your comment just shows your lack of knowledge about me as a player of this game.

  5. First, I have been very clear that it isn't just you.

But, you do comment on 'how it looks' to have me as a player that happens to have position elsewhere (not unlike quite a few people here) act within the capacity of my legal role within the government of TWP. You go on to make indirect claims that there is an increase in anti-NPO sentiment here, which is only being spouted by a very small majority and is also focused upon the hypocritical position that I am somehow different than every other player in NS that maintains multiple roles in various regions.

Is TWP no longer a friend of the Pacific? I would think I was having this conversation in TSP or Lazarus given the positions being expressed on this forum.

  6. I think we have a vastly different conception of TWP's separation of in game delegacy from offsite community.

Unless you are the Delegate it doesn't matter what your (or my) perception of the separation is. If you are just wanting to create a separate RP club that isn't linked to the game then you don't need to worry about what the Delegate does at all. But, you can't go around claiming to be the government of TWP either, as PD did on the NS forum. You can't have it both ways. You are either separate or you are not. If you are going to associate with TWP then you are obligated to do so according not to how the sitting Delegate supports it, or you are in opposition and are in a counter-government. Historically, one has proven more legitimate than the other as far as intra-regional relations are concerned.

  7. I can't speak for the others, but I'm not in any government positions anywhere, so I am free to alienate pretty much everyone.

That said I think I said somewhere that I personally have nothing against you. I also don't think I've said anywhere that you're using your position here to achieve NPO aims. The dissolution of the offsite government (or attempt at such) was a questionable decision but was made by the Delegate, not you, and I've not said to the contrary. So I'm not sure what I personally have done to alienate you beyond disagreeing with duality.

You, and others, have decided to make issue of my association with the NPO as one of the reasons the method the Delegate used to dissolve the government 'looked bad'. How? I am not the only player in NS that maintains position in multiple regions. If the Delegate of TNP or any of the other feeders performed a similar legally supported action within another government that they are a part of I highly doubt such an issue would have been raised. Hell, Westwind is on his high horse here for some reason when he set up a dictatorship here while simultaneously maintaining leadership in a large defender region that supposedly opposed similar institutions elsewhere. Hypocrisy at its best. The fact is that TWP is allied to the Pacific so I can not understand the concern at all, much less the need to point to it as an issue that would somehow degrade the position of the sitting Delegate.
  8. It is all well and good to introduce yet another system with even more positions to be filled but at the end of the day, how effective is this going to be when we couldn't keep people active enough to support a simpler system?

You can decry my position and what I have done all you wish, but given another four months do you think the pandering to the handful of whiners will actually result in a successful system?

  9. There is quite a large difference in my opinion, between ignoring something but allowing it to operate on its own, and dismantling an institution entirely. (allowing... not that you have much of a choice. TWP can form an offsite government without your permission)

Everyone here seems to have gone nuts.

The only reason TWP created the separation between ingame and offsite governments was because the Delegate allowed it.  If the Delegate does not approve of the offsite government then it is illegitimate according to every convention in NS, unless of course, you are claiming that URAP is not the legitimate Delegate of TWP?

The bottom line is that the sitting Delegate could just create a new forum and move the entire community away from here.  I do not believe that will occur and do not mean to insult the generosity of Winnipeg in hosting this forum but that is the truth.

  10. If that is correct (that you are choosing to ignore my choice in gameplay) then you are willing to accept the opposite side of that coin as well, correct?

So basically, using your gameplay logic, several of you have decided to systematically alienate and insult the leader of an allied region without cause or justification. Good move.

  11. All in all its a pretty good proposal.  However, I share the opinion that the governors and the Ministries should be under Voice supervision, and the Advocate rank should be on par with that of the Delegate.  This way, the Voice could create or disband ministries should the need arise.

The Governors shouldn't be chosen by the Delegate either.  He already has the Guardians working with the Governors.  It would make more sense if applications went to an "Application Officer of the Voice" who would handle the application procedure with the Voice, then they went to the Voice itself to see which one's passed there, and finally to the Advocate for the final choice.  Or perhaps to the Advocate first and then to the Voice in more of an appointment and confirmation style setup.

And to be clear, in this proposal, the Minister of Legislative RP position does not exist, correct?

Yes, since evidently I am the source of all TWP's troubles my position is being removed.
  12. If anyone here can point to one instance over the last 10 to 12 years were I have allowed my OOC interactions elsewhere to influence my actions here in TWP I will remove That Called the Vlagh from the region.

If you can't, then I would kindly ask that you shut up about it.

I am well aware that most nations in NS do not currently accept the concept of duality, but that has not always been the case and I am simply reluctant to change how I have chosen to play this game for 12 years. Many people disagree with me but even some of my strongest opponents have reluctantly acknowledged that if duality is possible in NS that I am one of the best at it.

  13. See my comment in the other thread. This is silly. The Delegate has the authority to ignore an offsite government, but not to dissolve it.

    http://www.westpacific.org/forums/index.php?/topic/1353-regarding-recent-election-turmoil/?p=26442

The authority that I used existed in April under Darkesia and most did not complain. While it may be true that the initial appointment did not specify that role explicitly, it was vaguely defined and did ultimately result in similar action under her direction.

That said, I serve only at the discretion of the Delegate. The proposal currently in the Voice seems to eliminate my position altogether so I doubt it should be a concern for anyone moving forward.

  14. I do find it interesting that several people seem to be placing blame at my feet over events when all I have ever done here in TWP has been at the request of the sitting Delegate.  That Called the Vlagh has been within TWP for over a decade and has never done anything within this region expressly for the benefit of outside forces.  The implication that a change of status within an associated nation somehow changes how I conduct myself within this region is insulting.

  15. Just putting this here to remind people.  If you are uncomfortable with the direction of the Delegate, you are perfectly free to set up a different government here on the forums.

Evidently the Voice still exists in its current state as forum administration has stated they will not be accepting the Delegate's request regarding mask settings of officers.
