The host of the 1st T20 World Cup is:
The Great Empire of Larxia
The Great Empire of Larxia is a nation in the western part of Andolia, bordering Irador in the west, and Daskel in the South. It is the most-populous country in the continent with about 25.5 million Larxians. The Central Government convenes in the capital city of New Larxia. The climate is usually temperate with distinct seasons and bearable heat. The climate is a little oceanic in the west but gets a little extreme(continental) towards the Eastern border of the country.
Cities hosting the World Cup:
New Larxia- It is the capital city of the Great Empire of Larxia. With a population of 3.4 million, it is the most populated city in Larxia. It is located in close proximity to the sea, which makes it very important for marine trade.
Nexilia- It is the technological capital of Larxia. It is also known as the Silicon Valley of Larxia. Most of the tech firms in Larxia call this city their home.
San Dojas- It is one of the most important cities for the sports in nation. It is a little sparsely populated compared to the other cities because it houses expansive, state of the art sports complexes.
La Marina- As the name suggests, it is close to marine life. It is famous for the marine life that cannot be experienced anywhere else. The main selling point of the tourism of La Marina is the lake we Larxians like to call the Lake Falcon.
Zancoudo- It is located in the mountainous region in the North of Larxia. It is a small range but the the mountains are pretty high.This city houses the highest and the most beautiful stadium in the world and the views from the stadium are breathtaking.

Larxia successfully tests the new Falk-one missile!
The Future is now as Larxia develops GCBs!

New Larxia- Larxia successfully tested the latest generation of ICBMs (Inter Continental Ballistic Missile). This newest system of ICBMs, called the Falk-one missile system, is a self-guided weapons system that follows a ballistic trajectory. Ballistics missiles can carry conventional explosive and can also Biological, Chemical and Nuclear war-heads. The average range of an ICBM is around 5500 kilometres, but the latest Falk-one missile is better in that aspect, with a range of 7250 kilometres.
The Falk-one missile system has been developed by Falcon Industries in collaboration with the Larxian Army. Building this missile was not an easy task for anyone as the designs kept changing with every new input from the experienced officials. This missile was to be made as close to perfection as possible and that is why it took some time to be completely ready for testing and later for use by the army.

Another great feature about this Falk-one missile system is that it can also function as a Cluster Missile, should the need arise. Normally the extent of damage done by a cluster missile cannot be controlled and it can also hit civilian areas, creating humanitarian disasters, but the Larxian engineers have managed to find a solution for that. The clusters usually cannot be controlled, but the Larxian engineers have developed Cluster bombs fitted with GPS, which can be controlled from a control room 5700 kilometres away. Basically Larxia has managed to develop Guided Cluster Bombs. We do not have access to the schematics. They are kept under strict lock and key, and nobody knows where it is.
King Maddy IV and the Government authorised Falcon Industries to sell the Falk-one missile systems to other countries in the world. King Maddy IV wants Falcon Industries to actually sell them to Larxia's allies in Andolia and the rest of the world.
Successful testing of the Falk-one missile system
In a joint press-conference, with the CEO of Falcon Industries, Hugo Farias, and the general of the Larxian Army, Oriol Hernandez, Farias was reported as saying," I'm really happy that we were able to complete building the Falk-one Missile System just before the Larxian National Day. We were definitely a little behind schedule in this project. We were supposed to unveil this system a few months back, but our experts and engineers were constantly trying to improve the design of the missile to make it as efficient as possible, and I'm glad to say that we were able to do just that." General Hernandez had nothing much to add except that he was very proud of this joint effort and even prouder at the outcome of this effort. He said that it is safe to say that the new Falk-one Missile System is one of the most advanced and powerful missile systems in the world right now.

A Civil War of our own? Let's hope not.

New Larxia- The Government of the Democratic Republic of Larxia will be organising a referendum in all the 7 States and 3 Union Territories in the next week, to determine whether the Parliament of the nation should be dissolved and complete power be given to King Maddy IV. This referendum comes after the sharp reduction in the confidence of the populace in President Jules McEnroe's policies and his lack of involvement with the people of Larxia.
In normal circumstances, the population would have asked for a re-do of elections, but populace has, to say in the words of majority of the people, lost their faith in the politicians. They have noted that even though the King is a permanent entity, he is still more involved with the common populace, while these politicians have to be re-elected to office, but still show no interest whatsoever after being elected.
The major economists have also noted that the growth of economy under an Absolute Monarchy was much higher than under a Democratic Republic.The growth of the economy has slowed a lot in the recent years and many a people have been losing their money because of this.
The people of Larxia have lost all their confidence in the Democratic Republic. The populace is so desperate to abolish the Government that they are willing to turn to Absolute Monarchy even though it means sacrificing some civil rights. The people have been demonstrating against the Democratic Republic for 3 days now, and the announcement of this refrendum comes as a small victory to the demonstrators, but getting here was not easy. The Democratic government was not feeling very Democratic. They ordered the police to tear-gas the demonstrators while they were in the peaceful phase of the movement.The tear-gassing of fellow Larxians was the last straw. The protests soon became a lot violent, with many injuries to both the protestors and the police force. Things turned ugly pretty quickly as the protests took the capital by storm. The Governments move to disperse the people in such a way came to bite them back.
We did manage to get a statement from the King. He expressed his deep displeasure at the state of the nation he loves so much. He also requested the protestors to stop being violent and try to go through with this peacefully. The King asked the Government to hold a dialogue with who the protestors identify as their chief. He requested the Government to do so before it turns even more ugly and takes the face of a Civil War.
The Government was forced to hold a dialogue with the people in the fear of a Civil War. The person rallying the people to protest, Hal Jones, sat with major politician in a round table conference. He asked the Government to hold referenda in all the states to determine the fate of the Democracy.
The referendum will be exactly where the Presidential Elections are held in your states. Be sure to vote to make sure your voices are also heard in this historic decision as Larxia looms on the edge of a Civil War. I'm sure that everyone would like to solve this issue without a Civil War. It will just be a waste of resources and we have seen what happened in Zoran, the destruction, the fighting, the deaths. I sure hope we can avoid all that.

So close yet so far

New Larxia- Larxia performed really well in the First World Cup, that took place in the United Adaikes, all the way in Polaris. The World Cup concluded on 2nd March, 1421. Larxia had a dream run in the Football World Cup as we reached the Finals of the the tournament. We beat many powerhouse nations in our run in this World Cup. King Maddy IV has persuaded the Government to invest more in sports infrastructure in the past and this kind of performance is only a vote of confidence in the King and his policies regarding sports. Larxia lost the final to a footballing powerhouse, Nieubasria, who had previously won the Gold medal in the Olympics in Football. While Larxia may have lost in the finals, and failed to win the Golden trophy, Larxia did establish itself as a powerhouse nation and a force to be reckoned with in the future.

A press conference was conducted by the FFL in United Adaikes itself on 3rd March, 1421. On the table were the chief of FFL, Florentino Levante, the national coach, Ronald Guardiola, and the team captain, Leo Messy. Messy sat in the middle, and Levante and Guardiola sat on either side. The Golden Boot and the Silver Trophy were kept on the table in front of them. The interview went as follows:
Q: This question is mainly for Messy. How do you feel about reaching this far in the competition? Did you expect this?
Messy: I feel great about reaching this far. There is no doubt about that. I enjoyed playing with my team-mates, so much so that we consider ourselves brothers for life. The coach put in a lot of effort in preparing us for the matches and needless to say, it all paid off. For your other question. I was definitely not expecting it. Hell, I didn't know what to expect at the start of the tournament, but as we got into a groove and we got better, hoping to win was a quite realistic target. It was especially fun playing here in the United Adaikes. The United Adaikes government was very hospitable. All the teams were treated amazingly and the opening ceremony was an amazing experience. I won a lot of those beautiful match balls, and I will definitely cherish each one of them. Props to United Adaikes for hosting the World Cup in such a grand way. I wouldn't mind coming here to play again, tournament or friendly.
Q: How does it feel to have come this far but just falling short?
Messy: It sucks. I'm gonna be honest with ya. But what we need to focus on is that we came 2nd out of 24 trophy hungry nations. No doubt Nieubasria bested us in the last moment, but reaching the finals is also no easy feat. We beat Cambria, Hertfordia and many other strong nations. It is a matter of pride for us to have represented Larxia on the biggest stage in the World, and making something out of this opportunity given to us. It was definitely a bittersweet feeling, you know. You feel good to have made it to the finals and mount a serious title challenge, but it feels bad to have lost at the last moment.
Guardiola: I wouldn't say we fell short. We were one of the superior teams in the World Cup. The world was not exactly expecting Larxia to qualify, but we not only qualified, we made it all the way to the finals. We might have lost in the finals but we proved that Larxia is a strong nation and that is something to be proud of.
At this point King Maddy IV entered the conference room. Everyone stood up immediately to greet the King. The King asked everyone to be seated and asked for a chair to be pulled up for him as well on the table. The conference continued.
Q: This question is mainly for Messy and also Ronald. You won the Golden Boot. How do you feel about your own performance?
Messy: I feel good. Scoring goals is always a good feeling, but scoring the most goals in a tournament where there are probably 50 strikers other than myself playing is an amazing feeling. I was in the right place at the right times is all I can say about it. The players supported each other really well and as a result I won the Golden Boot.
Guardiola: He performed really well. He made Larxians proud and I'm sure the kids back in Larxia will be worshipping the players that took Larxia to this level, especially Leo here, he was the one who guided the team to this 2nd place finish. He definitely deserves to be appreciated and worshipped for his achievements.
Q: Your Highness, how do you feel about the Larxian teams performance in the World Cup?
King Maddy IV: I feel really proud of the team. I take pride in saying that these players represented Larxia in the World Cup. We may not have won the World Cup, but that is just another reason to train and try harder. I just want to tell everyone listening, You learn more from failures than you can ever learn from success. This does not mean that I believe that this campaign was a failure, in fact this campaign was extremely successful. Losing the finals may feel bad right now, but in the long run, it won't make us complacent. It taught us to take every opposition equally seriously as you would your toughest competitor. Needless to say, I'm sure each and every citizen of Larxia is very proud of what the team has achieved here in United Adaikes and will continue to support them till the ends of the world.
Q: So this tournament is over. What is next for Larxian football and FFL?
Levante: This has been a great run for Larxia in the World Cup. We will capitalise on this success and we'll keep our search for the next footballing superstars at the top of our priority list. The new and state of the art facilities that we have been able to build for our players, thanks to the Government and His Royal Highness, will be extremely helpful in training the next generation of Larxian footballers and improve the current players. The construction of the stadium in Nexilia and New Larxia will be completed by April and June respectively. The one being built in New Larxia is not merely a stadium. It will be the headquarters and one of the National Football Centers. There are National Sport Centers in all the states of Larxia, but this will be exclusively for Football, like there is one for Rugby in New Hertha. The FFL will be furthering investments in the Larxian Pro League and will try to attract sponsors and players from all around the world to give the Larxian players some healthy competition and give them an experience of playing with players of the other nations.
King Maddy IV: The government will keep investing, not only in Football, but in improving and creating new state-of-the-art sports infrastructure. While we might have a formidable military force, we believe in peace, and what better way to maintain peace than by sports. We have seen many countries come together to play in these events, forgetting their differences and playing like one.
Q: Will Larxia bid to host the next World Cup?
Levante: We are definitely discussing about hosting the Second Football World Cup. We'll see what happens and we'll let you know on a later date.
King Maddy IV: Sure, we'll see. We can't decide right now if we want to host the World Cup. Hosting is very expensive, and we have our taxpayers to answer to. We will definitely try to host the World Cup. It is definitely very prestigious and will give a boost to the Tourism Industry. We will hold dialogue with the FFL's top officials and of course the President, the Sports Minister. We might also give some thought to co-hosting with a nation, but that is something we can't talk about right now. We will definitely get in contact with the Federation of International Football Associations to indicate our interest in submitting a bid to host the next World Cup in some time. Till then we will be focusing on preparing another generation of amazing footballers who will make their way to the main squads.

Jamie Marshall ran frantically through the halls of Windlar Castle to the King's office with a map of Zoran in hand. He had called beforehand to tell the King to stay in the office. He knocked on the door and entered the office to find King Maddy IV sitting on the couch by the fireplace.
"Sir the Corporates have pushed into Gagotigakanvsgi and have managed to defeat the GDC and the Monarchist forces in the province," he said as he pointed to the province on the map.
King Maddy IV replied," That is a matter of concern. This one right? That looks like an important province, considering it's proximity to the Southern island of Zoran, and the huge chunks of contested areas."
"Yes sir. It was a big loss in Gagotigakanvsgi for the monarchists. We need to do something."
"Yes that we do. Send Prince Sergio to Saint Mark to talk with Prince Marcarius about this situation. Talk about this situation with them and come to a mutual agreement on how we can help. Establish contact with Prince Dominic. Make sure that only Dominic hears what you talk about."
"Yes sir."
"Tell him to talk with the General and ask him how he feels about Larxian secret agents in Zoran."
"But sir, why do you need to ask. You can just send them there. Who would find out?"
"Marshall it's not about who would find out. We are supporting the Monarchists because we respect their sovereignty. And right now we need them to trust us. We don't need their distrust, especially when we want to help them."
"Yes Sir. Right away."
"Just contact [-redacted-] and ask him to ready the agents. If the general doesn't mind, tell him to deploy them instantly to the different provinces. I want four agents per province to be ready and awaiting orders."
"Yes sir, your Highness. I'll talk to him immediately. Will that be all?"
"Yes, now hurry. I want a verbal report soon. Just talk to the President and give him the memo. Tell him to be alert about the Zoranian situation."

Larxia opened the first half of the semi-final match against T&C. Messy dribbled past the Cambrian defense and managed to beat the Cambrian keeper, who has been the best goalkeeper of this World Cup. He makes it 1-0 in the 29th minute. The Cambrian attack manages to breach deep into the Larxian defense and they level 1-1 in the 42nd minute.
T&C opened the second half. The possession of the ball was initially controlled by T&C, but it was dominated by Larxia in the later part of the half. T&C quickly managed to pull ahead of Larxia with a deflection off Ferrara. T&C in the lead with 2-1 in the 52nd minute. Larxia took some time to regain composure, but managed to equalise the scores in the 82nd minute, with a well placed shot by Garcia, making it 2-2. The referee indicates full time. The game will be extended to extra time.
The first half of the extra time is underway.Both the team's manage to get some chances, but great work by both keepers as the scoreline remains unchanged at 105 minutes. That's the end of the first half of the extra time.
The second half is underway. Both teams yet again manage some good chances, but great work by the goalkeepers. Larxia manages to breach the Cambrian defense as Aviero runs through with the ball at his feet. He crosses the ball into the penalty area and finds Messy, who manages to head it in for a goal. It 3-2 in the 118th minute. Larxia manage to pull ahead in the dying moments of the game. That's the final whistle. Larxia have won the game and will face Nieubasria in the Finals of the World Cup.

In a post match interview with the coach, he said," I'm very positive about our chances of bringing the Cup home. The team, the staff, everyone is working really hard and their hard-work has paid off. We are now in the finals. We'll be approaching it as any other game. We need to focus on training and being on our best form in the finals. We'll also be studying the Nieubasrian Football Team and we'll try to understand the thought process of the Nieubasrian coach and the team. I have full confidence in my team that we'll pull through this last hurdle between us and the Cup."
Larxia will be facing Nieubasria in the Finals of the First World Cup. Nieubasria beat our fellow Andolian nation Nagaraningrad 2-1 in the Semi-Finals. The third place match will be played between Nagaraningrad and Tara & Cambray. Once again both the fixtures are Andolia v/s Polaris. We wish best of luck to our neighbours, Nagaraningrad and we hope for the best for ourselves as well.

Larxia opened the first half of the quarter-finals against Fujai. Aviero makes a run on the left wing with the ball at his feet. He makes short work of the defense. He sees Garcia running into position and crosses the ball into the penalty area. The ball is headed by Garcia and sees the back of the net. 1-0 in the 35th minute. This was the only goal in the first half. There were attempts at goal, but the keepers were doing a great job.
Fujai opened the second half. The possession of the ball went to and fro between the two teams, but mainly controlled by Larxia. Both teams created major chances in the second half, but both the defended withheld the opposition attack. Fujai finnally managed to breach the defense and a well-shot ball sees them level in the 75th minute. This play from Fujai inspired Larxia to work harder. Fernades saw Messy making a run down the right wing. He put a through ball to Messy, who dribbled past the defenders and crossed it to Aviero. Aviero hit a powerful shot at goal and managed to find the back of the net. 2-1 in the 84th minute. Fujai came very close to scoring their second in the 88th minute, but Ferrara worked really well in stopping that ball from going in. The referee indicated the end of the game with the whistle. Larxia won the game against Fujai and are through to the Semi-finals, where they will face off against Tara & Cambray.

We had a chance to talk with man of the match, Cristian Aviero. He said enthusiastically," It was a great win for Larxia. The Fujansk Landslag is a strong team, but we managed to better them today. I'm not saying we're not a strong team. We are one of the contenders of the World Cup, but it is all because of the amazing team work and respect that we have for each other and the coach. The coach is also doing an amazing job in preparing us for the oppositions. Somehow, he know how to train for different opponents. I guess that is his experience." On being asked how he felt about being benched against Hertfordshire and Jammbo, he replied," I'm not mad at all. As a player you want to play as many matches as you want, I agree, but sometimes you need to rest to be even better in the next match. I also said this before and I'll repeat it, coach is very experienced and he knows what he is doing."
Larxia will face Tara & Cambray in the semi-finals of the World Cup, while the other fixture will see Nieubasria go up against Nagaraningrad. Both the semi-finals will be Polaris v/s Andolia. Tara & Cambray comes off the back of a 1-0 victory against a well performing Arifiyyah. It will be an interesting fixture and we hope the best for Larxia.

Larxia opened the first half of the Round of 16 match against Hertfordia. The coach has rested Aviero and de Marcus. They will be replaced by Fati and Moon respectively. Fati almost makes it 1-0 in the 32nd minute with a curling shot to the top bin, but it is kept out by the keeper. Good work by the Hertfordian goalkeeper in keeping that out. This was the closest any team came to scoring in the first half.
Hertfordia opened the second half. The possession of the ball went to and fro between the two teams. Both teams created some chances in the second half, but great work by the goalkeepers at both ends. Garcia hits a powerful shot, but the keeper gets a hand on it. It goes out of play. A corner for Larxia in the 88th minute. Messy will take it. Messy curls it into the penalty area. It is cleared by a Hertfordian defender, but not too far, as Fernandes takes a half volley which goes straight into the goal. The goalkeeper didn't have time to react to that extremely powerful half-volley. It is 1-0 in the 89th minute. That's the final whistle, Larxia have won this game and progressed to the Quarter-finals of the World Cup. You can feel the cheers of Larxian fans as it brings a slight tremor in the surrounding areas.

In a post match interview with the coach, we asked him how he felt about this victory. He replied," It is a victory. That is what is important, though I had hoped for a bigger margin. Scoring in the last minute feels good, but you know what is better? Scoring in the other minutes where we failed to score today. I'll say, the Hertfordians gave us a tough fight, but we need to get back to scoring ways. That's why we'll be training extra hard for our match tomorrow against the Fujansk Landslag. I have full confidence in my players that we can go all the way, but we're also counting on the Larxians' support. Be there to support the sons of Larxia."
Larxia will face Fujai in the quarter-finals of the World Cup. Fujai have come off the back of a 4-3 victory against Santos-Dominius in the Round of 16 and finished second in Group A with 10 points. Fujai is a strong team and has performed well, but so has Larxia. This match is going to be legendary in all ways perceivable. We sure hope for a Larxian victory and we'll pray for our team.

Larxia opened the first half, and also opened scoring as Messy grounds two defenders and goes above the goalkeeper to make it 1-0 in the 23th minute. Messy makes it 2-0 in the 25th minute with a top-bin curler. The goalkeeper stretches to full but cannot reach the to stop the ball. The Fhaengshians look frustrated. Fernandes passes it to Garcia, who is taken down in the penalty area. You can see the frustration in the coaches expressions as his defenders concede a penalty. Messy lines up to take it. It's in, a panenka from Messy in the 28th minute sees Larxia pull ahead to a 3 goal lead. A hat-trick for Messy, 3 goals in 5 minutes, probably the fastest hat-trick of the World Cup. The rest of the half went by with many close chances for both sides.
Larxia controlled the ball for the most of second half. Fhaengshia almost make it 3-1 in the 54th minute, but Ferrara displays tremendous skill in stopping that shot. It's a corner for Larxia. Messy lobs it in to the penalty area and finds Silva's head. Silva heads it in the 69th minute to make it 4-0. Aviero is taken down just outside the penalty box. A free-kick for Larxia. Messy lines up to take it. If he makes this, it will be 4 goals for Messy in this match. Messy places the ball, about 20 metres away from goal. Messy goes for it. It looks like it will sail over, OhhhMyyyGodd!!!! It dips in at the last moment and sees the back of the net as Messy scores his 4th and Larxia's 5th in the 87th minute. The referee sounds the full time whistle. Larxia have won the game 5 goals to none. The biggest win for Larxia in the World Cup yet. This win cements Larxia's place as Group B winners. The 5 goals difference might hurt Fhaengshia as it puts their goal difference at a -4. Larxia have potentially knocked Fhaengshia out if the Dalimbari manage to win.

In the post match interview with the captain and man of the match, Leo Messy, we asked him how he felt about the victory. He replied with the enthusiasm of a 5 year old," I'm very happy with how the team performed as a whole. Always good to get goals, but 4 of them together will be one of the highlights of my career. It is always great to represent Larxia on an international stage of this calibre. We are quite confident right now. We are sure that we can continue our form and ride this form all the way to the Cup." We later told him that he was trending in Larxian social media and read him a few tweets to which he replied," Thank you, this means a lot, but it isn't just me who deserves praise, the whole team, coach and especially the support staff, the whole should be appreciated. Pallandole opened the first half but the scoring was opened by Larxia. Silva puts a through ball to Garcia, who chips it over the keeper to make it 1-0 in the 27th minute. The rest of the half goes by without any goals, though both teams came very close to scoring.
In the second half, Larxia controlled the play most of the time. Pallandole manage to get it through the sturdy Larxian defense. They make it 1-1 in the 62nd minute. The coach takes Aviero out of play in the 80th minute. Fati takes his place on the field. Fati cuts in from the left wing and curls it in towards the top right corner. It's in. Fati makes it 2-1 in the 88th minute. Smart substitution by Guardiola. You can see the King cheering them on with pride. The 4th official indicates 4 minutes of stoppage time. That's the final whistle. Larxia wins two goals to one. The second win for Larxia in the World Cup sees them rising to the top of Group B.

We managed to snag a chance to talk to King Maddy IV. On being asked how he felt seeing Larxia perform, he said," It is definitely a matter of pride to watch Larxia just perform on the international stage, and what fills me with even more pride is that they are performing very well. It feels good to see that the money being invested in sports infrastructure is benefitting our nation's athletes. I'm confident in our team. I'll only ask every Larxian to pray that the team does very well in the tournament, and come here. They will feel good if there are Larxian fans in the stands," he further added," I know that many Larxians have come here to watch them play, but who doesn't like having more fans in the stadium.
Larxia will face fellow Andolian nation Fhaengshia in the last game of the group stages. Fhaengshia have been in great form as well as they sit in second place with 6 points. This match will determine who wins Group B. So let's pray for a Larxian victory.

Giovanniland opened the first half and opened scoring in the 15th minute. Aviero cuts through the defense like a hot knife through butter. He bangs one in. The goalkeeper can't reach it. Larxia levels almost instantly in the 18th minute. The rest of the half goes by without any serious goal scoring chances.
In the second half, Larxia controlled the possession of the ball for most of the half. Fernandes puts a through ball to Garcia, who's ready to convert. The goalkeeper keeps it out of the goal but cannot keep the ball. The ball falls to Aviero who drives it in with no chance for the keeper. It's 2-1 in the 57th minute. Leo Messy goes solo in the 78th minute. He weaves through the defenders and puts it in around the goalkeeper. The goalkeeper lies on the ground, utterly beaten, as Messy celebrates with his teammates. The 4th official indicates only 2 minutes of stoppage time. That's the final whistle. Larxia wins 3 goals to one. The first win for Larxia comes at a great time as it sees Larxia jump to 3rd position in the group.

Guardiola in the post-match conference said," We were very happy with the result, but we cannot stop working because of one good result. We do deserve to celebrate, but we'll not celebrate at the cost of training for the matches. I caught a glimpse of the King in his box, and needless to say, you could see the pride in his eyes as he saw the Larxian team win the game," on being asked about their next opponents Pallandole and their run in the WC, he said," We do like to believe that every nation still has some fight left in them, because underestimating a nation will only increase our complacency. That said, we do hope that we win the game, and the team will be preparing for every game as though they are preparing to play the final."
Now how can that not instill confidence in the 25 million people of Larxia.
Larxia will be facing Pallandole next, who seem to be having the World Cup of their nightmares after drawing their first two games and losing the last one against Fhaengshia, though not by much.

Larxia opened the first half but Libterraria opened the scoring with a low-banger in the 22nd minute. The rest of the first half has been devoid of action, only Larxia almost scoring a goal in the 39th minute, but it sails just wide of the post.
In the second half, Larxia controlled the possession of the ball for most of the half. The second half has been very dormant with only 2 chances for Larxia and one for Libterraria and no goals. Garcia is taken down just outside the penalty box. It will be a free kick for Larxia. Messy lines up to take it. It's in! Top-bin curler, the keeper cannot reach it at full stretch. It is 1-1 in the 89th minute. The 4th official adds only one minute for the stoppage time. It's the final whistle. A draw for Larxia. Not the ideal result.
Messy in the post-match conference said," We are always looking to improve our team. We're training hard and we hope for an even better result against Giovanniland. We are positive and will go into the match with a positive, can-do attitude, and I'm sure we can do it."

Larxia opened the first half and opened the scoring with a well-placed curler in the 5th minute by Leo Messy. Dalimbar evened the scores with a well-placed goal in the 24th minute that shocked the Larxian fans in the stands. Dalimbar went on to score their second of the match with a powerful shot, deflected off of a defender's foot in the 42nd minute. The goalkeeper couldn't reach it in the last moment.
In the second half, Larxia controlled the possession of the ball most of the half but Dalimbar intercepted a pass and found the Larxian defence in shambles. Needless to say, the Dalimbari took advantage and made it 3-1 in the 54th minute. A well placed pass sees Leo Messy directly in front of the goal, only the goalkeeper to beat. Leo Messy beats the keeper easily scoring for the Larxia in the 76th minute making it 3-2.Is there a comeback on the cards? A beautiful cross from the right wing finds Garcia's head and the ball is in the back of the net. 3-3 in the 89th minute. Surely a comeback for the books. The 4th official seems to have given 5 minutes of stoppage time. A penalty for Dalimbar at 90+4th minute. The whole team is pleading with the referee. This is a very controversial call. You can see the frustration in Guardiola's eyes as he argues with a linesman. The decision is not being overturned. Ferrara dives the right way but fails to reach the ball. It's in. Larxia 3-4 Dalimbar. Disbelief on the pitch. Guardiola kicks a bottle in frustration. Larxian fans have gone quiet. King Maddy IV looks shocked in the VIP box. Everything is silent, except the Dalimbari fans' loud cheering. But the Larxians seem to not notice the Dalimbari. This decision could directly hurt Larxia's chances. Leo Messy rallies his troops. That's the final whistle. Messy and Guardiola will be looking to train harder to make sure this kind of situation never comes up again.

The coach and the captain will be asking themselves what went wrong after Larxia lost to Dalimbar 3-4.
We can still agree on the fact that the loss against Dalimbar was not the ideal result, but it wasn't also the worst result. With only one goal between the two teams, the goal difference will not hurt Larxia too much.
Ronald Guardiola wasn't very happy with his defenders, and will be increasing the training regimen of the defenders. He said," We didn't lose the match because we didn't score enough goals, we lost the match because we conceded a lot of them," he added," We will work a little on our defensive prowess. We will be looking at the recordings of past matches of Giovanniland and study their style of play and their defensive patterns, so that we can turn our fortune around in this tournament."
We fully believe that the Larxian National team will pull through their defeat and come back even stronger to take Group B by storm.

New Larxia- King Maddy IV, on Tuesday announced government plans to costruct a new football stadium to go over and above for hosting a Football World Cup.
While the Larxian team will be participating in this edition of the World Cup, FFL Chief, Florentino Levante refused to put in a bid to host this edition of the World Cup in the Larxian lands.
In an interview, he said," While it is true that hosting the world cup is a very prestigious opportunity, the FFL is currently invested in finding the next generation of world-class footballers. That said, it is my pleasure to announce the opening of government funded football academies around Larxia, with the operation headquarters in in the very same place where the new stadium is being built."
This new venture, called 'Football For All', started by FFL with support of the government will train the future of Larxian football for a very nominal fee.
Back to the main topic of the article, the new stadium will be built in Nexilia, the technological hub of Larxia.
The proposed plan for the stadium:
The new stadium will be one of the most technologically advanced stadiums in the world. According to the reports, the construction had already started a few months back and it will take a few more months to be completely ready.
Another stadium is being proposed to the government, which will most probably agree to it.
The other stadium that will be possibly built in the outskirts of New Larxia, will also be made with the technological vision in mind.

These two new stadiums will change the way people experience football matches for the better, and Larxia will be completely equipped to host the next World Cup. Till then all we can do is support our Footballing Heroes who will be led into the World Cup by none other than the G.O.A.T. Leonardo Messy.
King Maddy IV was rather excited at the prospect of participating in the World Cup, he is confident that the Larxian team is equipped to go all the way, and he should be too, considering that Larxia has been one of the biggest investors and a patron of the sports.
In an interview with the captain himself, he said confidently," Taking into account the extensive investment in the sports infrastructure and the personal involvement of His Highness, we are possibly one of the strongest football playing nations in the world," he further added," The team is really confident and we have been training to win and nothing else. You can be assured that each game will be entertaining for the fans, and we're counting on the Larxian people to travel to the World Cup and support us from the stands. Pray for the cup, and you shall have the cup."
I'll soon be travelling with the team and will report under the FFL banner for the duration of the World Cup.
Maybe I'll also get a chance to meet His Highness, King Maddy IV and thank him for the interest he has taken in promoting the sports in Larxia. It can very well be seen in the low obesity rates in Larxia that people are taking up physical activities in one form or another.

The Royal Charity

New Larxia- King Maddy IV, on Thursday, announced the establishment of a charitable mission, Hope Spades Organisation.
The main mission of this organisation is to help patients who cannot afford the healthcare services of Larxia. Though the healthcare services are not so expensive, there are always people in need of help.
The King stated that this will be a non-profit organisation, so that it can focus only on helping patients, and not on turning a profit.
The Organisation will collaborate with many of Larxia's top hospitals with the state-of-the-art technologies and the cost of treatment that comes along with it.
How will they collaborate?
There will be a branch of the organisation in every partner hospital, with the organisation having direct access to the patients, so no money is lost in all the bureaucracy.
The organisation will of course be open to donations from the people who can afford to and choose to make any kind of contribution to this mission.
The King will be investing his personal wealth in this venture, and nothing will be taken from the government coffers until the Parliament decides to support the organisation.
Ms. Mackenzie Becker will lead this organisation to a future full of helpfulness. Considering her influence in Larxia before her engagement to the King was announced and the fact that she would be our future queen, choosing her to head this organisation was a good choice.

The fire crackled in the hearth, shining on King Maddy IV and his brother Prince Dominic, as they sat in front of each other.
King Maddy IV said," My brother, you will be visiting Zoran to meet up with the Monarchists' General. An agent of -redacted- will accompany you, disguised as your assistant, for your safety."
Prince Dominic asked," Won't sending a member of the Royal Family raise suspicion in the other factions?"
King Maddy IV replied rather coolly," It would if you would have just visited the country without no good reason. That's why I talked with Prince Marcarius, and he agreed to lease some of the Saint Markan estates in Zoran for a period of ten years. "Understood. You know, I'm sometimes in awe of how you think and how you maintain your international relations. I have a question though, how much can I stretch for them, you know because I won't be able to reach you at that time."

you soon", Prince Dominic said while hugging his brother, because as good an opportunity this was, there was an existential threat to his life."Goodbye brother. Your 'assistant' will brief you further on your way there. And be extremely careful, God forbid, if anything happens to you, no power in this world will stop me from marching into Zoran."
Prince Dominic left the palace for the airport with his 'assistant', with pride that his brother trusted him with this important duty. His life was probably in danger, and he hoped that he would be alive to see his beloved brother again, but he wouldn't let that stop him from accomplishing the task at hand.

It was a tough day in camp for Larxia. Today saw us losing to Fujai 20-9. The coaches were certainly not happy with the performance and have already started training for their match against their Saint-Markan counterparts.
Coach, Joe Keep, in a post-match interview said," It was certainly not what we were expecting from this tournament. We still have a chance to qualify, but a win is imperative and a high scoring one to that. Keeping that in mind, we will be approaching the next game with a defensive outlook. We have studied the games of other countries, and we have seen that the more defensive teams have prevailed."

The coaches and the National team did good in their word. They promised a victory and they delivered one. Captain of the team, Beauden Brown, said in the post match interview that he was happy with the final result, but there is always room for improvement. He was particularly happy that the team has got the ball rolling.
The margin was not that big, but the coaches and the players are working on training to create more scoring opportunities. The match against Fhaengshia was just the first victory in many, with the team gearing up for their match against Fujanske Rugby. With the team from Fujai being a naturally defensive team, and the Larxian team being an attacking team, this tie will definitely live upto the fans' expectations.
The coaches will be employing similar methods where they watch the past clips of the Fujanske Rugby team in order to understand the thinking of the opponents, and they seem to doing quite a good task.
The morale in camp is high, with His Highness, King Maddy IV there to enjoy the Larxian victory, and the fans in the stands chanting the official song of the Larxian National team.

In the first game of the Cup, Larxia Rugby succumbed at the hands of United Adaikes'. The final score was 14-8.
W etalked to national coach, Felix, who said," It was certainly not how we wanted this to go. We have been working hard and will keep working hard in order to improve. It was a bad day in the office for us, and we are positive we can turn things around."
King Maddy IV was seen consoling the players, and encouraging them to work harder. Who knew the King gives better pep talks than the manager.
The players are fired up for their game tomorrow and they have been training hard . The coaches are studying the Fhaengshian style of play, and it looks like they are progressing in mapping out the most used tactics by the Fhaengshian coach. This will definitely help them tailor their tactics to fit the opponent perfectly.
Though a loss is not an ideal result, we will face anything to support our National Team. It is said that failure is a stepping stone to success. So we wish our team luck and hope they can step on the 'stepping stones' and eventually reach the success they went there for.
