United Adaikes reacted to Larxia in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
Player Profile
Rafael 'Rafa' Lima
Name: Rafael 'Rafa' Lima
Position: Blindside Flanker (Number 6)
Age: 31
Role: Captain
Rafael Lima, affectionately known as 'Rafa', embodies the rare blend of high-altitude grit and intellectual resilience that defines the 'Leões Marinhos'. At 31, he is the unwavering heart of the Larxian National Rugby Team, a leader forged by both physical trauma and profound personal struggle.
Early Life and Path to Rugby
Growing up in Nexilia
Rafa was born and raised in Nexilia, a high-altitude city of soaring innovation nestled deep in the mountains. The air was thin, the climbs were challenging, and the city’s culture valued mental acuity and long, disciplined hours. His family ran a modest precision engineering firm, a low-margin business that demanded meticulous detail and flawless execution. This environment, combined with the continuous struggle against the taxing mountain terrain, instilled a deep, almost severe, work ethic.
The Rugby Introduction
Rafa was drawn to rugby at 14, seeking a discipline that demanded both physical expression and strategic thought. He joined the local club, 'Os Escudos' (The Shields). He was never the biggest, but he had an engine for endurance built from rigorous high-altitude trail running and a mind trained in analytical problem-solving. Coaches quickly identified him as a "Breakdown Strategist", someone who used the chaos of the ruck as a system of solvable variables.

Overcoming Adversity and Personal Challenges
The Shadow of Expectations
Rafa's first major hurdle was navigating his relationship with his father. While proud of Rafa's talent, his father saw the instability of professional sport as a major risk compared to the reliable, albeit grueling, family business. This created years of emotional friction, as Rafa felt he constantly had to prove rugby was a worthy profession, not just a hobby. He channeled this internal pressure into his training, equating every successful tackle and turnover to a small victory in earning his father's true acceptance.
A Difficult Period: The Injury and Family Crisis
At 22, Rafa suffered a compound fracture in his leg—a traumatic, career-threatening injury. This physical crisis was immediately compounded by a severe personal one: his family's firm failed due to a disastrous, high-risk investment made by his older brother, leaving the family in deep debt.
Emotional Toll: Rafa was faced with the crushing reality of his family's crisis while barely able to walk. The pressure to abandon rugby and use his analytical skills to help salvage the family's assets was immense.
The Struggle with Doubt: During months of painful, isolating rehabilitation, Rafa battled profound self-doubt and resentment. He felt he was letting his family down and questioned whether his single-minded dedication to rugby had been selfish.

The Comeback and Resilience
Rafa's recovery was defined by radical acceptance and hyper-discipline. He treated his rehabilitation like a complex engineering project. He used his downtime to devour books on motivational psychology and tactical analysis, transforming his injury into an intellectual edge. The mental fire that fueled his physical recovery was his determination to succeed in rugby not just for himself, but to restore his family's pride and prove the value of his own path. He emerged from this period emotionally armoured and possessing a maturity far beyond his years.
National Selection and Captaincy
The National Call-Up
His return to the pitch showcased a player reborn—more resilient, more calculated, and possessing an unshakeable will. FRL selectors were impressed not just by his physical recovery, but by the visible evolution of his leadership style. His selection for the Larxian National Rugby Team was solidified by his ability to lead by example and inspire confidence in his teammates during moments of intense pressure.
The Captaincy
By Rugby World Cup VI, Rafa Lima was the natural successor to the captaincy. He wasn't chosen merely for his skill, but because his personal story—of navigating physical trauma, emotional strain, and family expectation—made him the ultimate symbol of Larxia's unyielding national spirit.
As captain, Rafa Lima is not just a player; he is the embodiment of resilience, the relentless engine of the 'Leões Marinhos', tasked with guiding his nation to their best-ever performance on the world stage.

United Adaikes reacted to Saint Mark in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
This is a joint post by Giovanniland and Saint Mark.
1st October 1425 — The State Dinner at the Hall of Saint Leo
King Giovanni VI of Giovanniland gazed at the magnificent bronze doors of the Hall of Saint Leo, recalling the itinerary that he had already followed in this visit to Saint Mark, and the previous times he had set foot there. The doors opened to the sound of a fanfare, revealing the sight of candles glowing in massive crystal chandeliers, while frescoes of saints and lions looked down, solemn and eternal.
Liveried footmen in red and gold waited in perfect stillness. Prince Marcarius of Saint Mark then entered, radiant in his white ceremonial uniform, golden sash of the Halohin House drawn across his chest. Beside him, King Giovanni stepped forward in purple royal clothing.
“Your Majesty, welcome once more,” said Marcarius, his voice carrying in the great hall.
“Your Serene Highness,” replied Giovanni with a smile, “your palace is magnificent, and your welcome most generous.”
Much of the glitterati from both nations followed them into the vast hall. Among the Markans attending were Lady Arlene, Sir Aston, Lady Phyllis, Lord Admiral Bellarmie, Archbishop Georgio Amica, Dame Arthea Bradmoor, and Karl Fridor, star of the opera they had attended two nights before.
As for Giovanniland, there were both politicians and nobles present. Prince Augusto, the heir apparent, followed his father, as did Queen Traiana, Princess Abrelia and others in the royal family. Afterwards, government members such as Elisa Anario-Silva (Prime Minister), Tarquino Albio-Trinelli (Minister of Foreign Affairs) and Flavio Lavandino (Minister of Trade) arrived.
A long mahogany table, gleaming like still water, stood in the hall, set with gold service and crystal goblets. When all were seated, the footmen began to serve the ten-course traditional Markan feast:
Oysters Saint Mark with lemon and sea herbs. Consommé Royal with truffle shavings. Turbot in Champagne Sauce. Filets de Bœuf à la Saint Leo. Roast Pheasant with Chestnut Purée. Sorbet of Starfruit and Lavender. Saddle of Lamb with Mint Jus. Salade Markan with pomegranate and hazelnuts. Cheese Course with figs and honey. Dessert Symphony of almond torte, spun-sugar lions, and passionfruit soufflé. The guests took part in conversation and enjoyed the dinner as the courses were served.
“It seems only yesterday,” Giovanni remarked during the consommé, “that we were at dinner in Giovannia. This hall is no less grand than the Palatio Smaraldo.”
“I agree,” commented Queen Traiana. “And these oysters are perfect!”
Marcarius smiled. “I am glad you both think so. Spending time with you and your family this week has been such a joy. I particularly enjoyed the cocktail cruise aboard the Sea Lion. How did you find our harbor at sunset?”
“Magnificent,” said Elisa, recalling it. “I appreciated the bells of Saint Elara echoing over the beautiful waters.”
Lady Arlene added, “And the cocktails were most inventive! What was it called, the ‘Lion’s Sunrise’? Mango, pomegranate, and a touch of rum?”
Prince Augusto laughed. “Yes, I believe I had three of them.”
Then came mention of the opera night, where Karl Fridor’s performance of Su Helga Sigling Anor had left the hall breathless. Dame Arthea Bradmoor, a major patron of the opera, praised him warmly; Archbishop Georgio mused that his sister in Porto Violeto had written jealously about the event.
The courses continued arriving, and those from Giovanniland attending especially appreciated the sorbet of starfruit and lavender.
Soon after, the talk turned to rugby.
Giovanni’s eyes lit up. “This state dinner could not be more timely: the group stage of the 6th Rugby World Cup has just ended, and it seems that our nations will meet in the Round of 16.”
“Indeed!”, Marcarius chuckled, “Our boys are ready. Nelson Saint Mark will marshal the backs at fly-half. Baxtor and Bruno Goldwash will hold the front line. And Blaze Emberfell, of course, is as quick as lightning.”
Giovanni replied in kind, proudly: “Likewise, our captain Marko Ulpio will lead us from the left wing, and other players like Demetro Ferenni and Samanta Alba will no doubt continue being instrumental for the Esquadra Nationale’s performance. They were the top scorers in our group stage matches and I hope to see more of their skills!”
Minister Tarquino interjected, “It would be great if Giovanniland equals its achievement of arriving into the quarterfinals in the previous World Cup, but I’ll be also happy for Saint Mark if your team wins. May the winner be ready to meet United Adaikes or Arifiyyah.”
Lord Admiral Bellarmie raised a glass. “May it be a contest worthy of both our nations.”
Afterwards, laughter broke out when Lady Phyllis confessed she had secretly wagered on the Markan Lions while her husband backed Giovanniland.
Marcarius then leaned toward Giovanni while the desserts arrived at the table. “Tomorrow, one team wins and one loses, but our friendship will never change.”
Giovanni raised his glass. “To our friendship!”
All glasses rose, and the chandeliers caught the crystal sparkle, as though the saints and lions in fresco above were joining in the toast.
Later, when the last of the guests had departed, Prince Marcarius led King Giovanni into his private study. The room was paneled in dark walnut, lined with shelves of leather-bound tomes, and a painting of the first Sea Lion yacht cutting across azure seas hung above the mantel.
The Prince poured two glasses of amber brandy. “Now, Gio,” he said with a grin, “shall we speak frankly of tomorrow? Two friends, but rivals for eighty minutes.”
Giovanni chuckled. “Let’s make it interesting. How about a wager?”
Marcarius raised a brow. “Name your stakes.”
“If the Esquadra Nationale wins,” Giovanni said, “you must send me a cask of your famous Saint Elara brandy. The kind you only serve at coronations.”
Marcarius laughed heartily. “You drive a hard bargain. And if the Lions prevail, you must send me one of those Giovannese gelato freezers filled with tropical flavors. Passionfruit, guava, tamarind, and so on.”
Giovanni stroked his beard in mock seriousness. “You mean to reduce me to a mere ice merchant?”
“Not at all,” remarked Marcarius. “To elevate you to the status of benefactor of every sweet tooth in Saint Mark.”
Both men burst into laughter, clinking glasses.
“Very well, it’s settled,” Giovanni declared. “Brandy against gelato. May the better team win.”
The roaring fire cast warm light across the pair of deep armchairs they were seated on, and both monarchs continued to talk late into the night. “It’s great to meet a good friend once more”, King Giovanni thought, and he vowed to return after this visit.

United Adaikes reacted to Larxia in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
Kaelen: Good evening. It was a night of tension, drama, and nail-biting calculations, but the final result is in: the goal has been achieved. Larxia is through to the knockout stages of the Rugby World Cup. I’m Kaelen Vance.
Lyra: And I’m Lyra Korin. It may not have been the route we hoped for, but qualification is secured. The national team fought hard but ultimately fell to a powerful United Adaikes side, 13–3, in their final group match tonight.
Kaelen: While the loss is disappointing, the team's performance in the earlier rounds was enough to see them through. United Adaikes proved why they're a tournament favorite, finishing the group stage with a perfect record. For Larxia, tonight’s match was a tough lesson, but the bigger picture is what matters: the dream is still alive.
Lyra: Exactly. The group stage is now behind them. The points are reset, and it all comes down to 80 minutes of knockout rugby. They are in the final 16, and from here, anything can happen.
Group C Final Standings
Kaelen: Let's quickly recap the final standings in Group C. United Adaikes tops the group with a dominant 14 points. In the other crucial match, Saint Mark ground out a 3–0 win over Ageros.
Lyra: That result means Saint Mark secures second place with 10 points. And with our five points, Larxia officially clinches the third and final qualification spot from the group. Congratulations are in order for both Saint Mark and, of course, our own Larxian team for advancing.
Tournament Overview: The Round of 16 is Set
Kaelen: Now, let's look at the full picture as the group stage concludes. All top three teams from the five groups have advanced, and they are joined by one fourth-placed team, Arifiyyah, who qualified with the best record among the non-automatic qualifiers.
Lyra: The bracket for the Round of 16 is now officially set, and it is filled with colossal matchups. Let’s take a look.
Kaelen: As expected, the draw has produced some fantastic clashes. Our group rivals United Adaikes and Saint Mark will face Arifiyyah and Giovanniland, respectively. Other huge games see Zoran take on Greiya, and Teralyon match up against Inseberistan.
The Knockout Challenge: A David vs Goliath Clash
Lyra: But the match the entire nation will be focused on is now confirmed. For their Round of 16 showdown, Larxia has drawn the undefeated winners of Group A, Ryxtylopia.
Kaelen: It is, without a doubt, one of the toughest draws possible. Ryxtylopia was clinical in their group, winning all three of their matches. They present a massive challenge, but this is what the World Cup is all about. To be the best, you have to beat the best.
Lyra: This is where the tournament truly begins. Past results don't matter anymore. Our team has proven they have one of the best defensive structures in this entire competition. Now, they have the chance to prove it on the biggest stage against a top-tier opponent.
Kaelen: It’s a classic David vs. Goliath story, and the pressure is arguably all on them. Our team can go into this match with nothing to lose and everything to gain. The entire nation will be behind them.
Lyra: It is going to be an absolutely immense occasion. We will have all the build-up for you in the coming days. That’s all from us tonight. It was a tense evening, but we can all breathe a sigh of relief. Larxia is in the final 16! Thank you for joining us.

United Adaikes reacted to Larxia in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
Kaelen: Good evening, and welcome back to our World Cup coverage. A much brighter story to report this evening as Larxia gets its campaign firmly back on track. I’m Kaelen Vance.
Lyra: And I’m Lyra Korin. It was a day of high stakes and high drama across the tournament, but the news every Larxian was waiting for is good news. In a tense and disciplined performance, Larxia has defeated Ageros 6–0.
Kaelen: It wasn’t a high-scoring spectacle, but it was exactly the result the team needed. After the heartbreak of Matchday One, securing a victory was the only objective, and they achieved it through sheer grit and an impenetrable defense.
Lyra: To keep any team in this tournament scoreless is a significant achievement. It was an attritional, hard-fought match, and the win was sealed by two perfectly executed penalties. It’s a performance that shows the team's mental fortitude to bounce back under immense pressure. They now have five points and have put themselves right back in the qualification picture.
Group C Report
Kaelen: The other match in our group was a much different affair, a thrilling, high-scoring contest between United Adaikes and Saint Mark. United Adaikes emerged victorious, 27–21.
Lyra: That result has massive implications for the group. With their second win, United Adaikes have moved to 10 points and have officially secured their place in the knockout stages. Congratulations to them. For Saint Mark, despite the loss, they managed to secure two crucial bonus points which takes their total to six.
Kaelen: And that sets the stage for a dramatic finale. With United Adaikes through, it all comes down to the final match between Larxia and Saint Mark. It is, for all intents and purposes, a knockout match to decide who else advances from Group C.
Around the Groups: Matchday Two Roundup
Lyra: Now, let's take a brief look at the action from the other groups, where several other teams have booked their tickets to the next round.
Kaelen: In Group A, Ryxtylopia also secured their place in the knockouts with a solid 20–12 win over Nouveauterra. In the other fixture, Staneburg kept their hopes alive with a 12–0 victory against Materos.
Lyra: The tension was palpable in Group B, with two one-point thrillers. Inseberistan just got past Arifiyyah 21–20, while Zoran continued their perfect start by beating Hertfordshire and Jammbo 14–8, putting them in a commanding position at the top of the group.
Kaelen: Group D saw a major shakeup. Overthinkers delivered a huge performance to beat previously undefeated Giovanniland 26–13. Meanwhile, Jerimiahia’s 20–7 win over Zogradia means Zogradia has been officially eliminated. The results also mean that Overthinkers, Jerimiahia, and Giovanniland have all secured entry into the knockout rounds.
Lyra: And finally, Group E delivered the first draw of the tournament, a fantastic 21–21 stalemate between Teralyon and Dalimbar. In the other match, Greiya bounced back in spectacular fashion with a 41–0 win over Varanius. The draw was enough for Teralyon to secure their spot in the next stage.
Final Thoughts
Kaelen: So, as the dust settles on Matchday Two, the path forward becomes clearer. For Larxia, the mission was simple: win and stay alive. Mission accomplished.
Lyra: They’ve done exactly what they needed to do. They weathered the storm of that first-round loss, showed immense character to get a result today, and have now given themselves a chance. Everything now rides on that final, decisive match against Saint Mark.
Kaelen: It’s a scenario any sports fan dreams of. A winner-takes-all contest to advance in the World Cup. The team can be proud of their work today, and the entire nation will be behind them for the finale.
Lyra: We’ll be there to cover it all. That's all the time we have for tonight. Thank you for joining us.

United Adaikes got a reaction from Saint Mark in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
The group stage of the sixth Rugby World Cup has concluded, and the picture for the knockout rounds is crystal clear. Emerging from the pack as the tournament's top-ranked team is none other than United Adaikes, who sealed a perfect group stage with a professional 13-3 victory over a dogged Larxia side.
While the performance against Larxia was not the free-flowing try-fest of their first match, it was a testament to the team's maturity and adaptability. United Adaikes leaned on its formidable set-piece and the reliable boot of fullback Hernan Jacobson to grind out the result. The defense, led by the relentless tackling of back-rowers Keira Hull and Blossom Crespo, was imperious, snuffing out every Larxian attack and conceding only a single penalty.
This victory was about more than just winning the group; it was about securing the most favorable path to the final. The tie for first place overall with hosts Ryxtylopia—both finishing on 14 points—was broken by points difference. United Adaikes’ dominant early performances, including their 32-10 demolition of Ageros, paid the ultimate dividend, giving them a superior points difference of +38 to Ryxtylopia’s +21.
The Reward: A Clash with the Ultimate Underdog
As the #1 seed, United Adaikes’ reward is a Round of 16 matchup against the 16th-seeded Arifiyyah.
On paper, it is a dream draw. Arifiyyah is winless, the lowest-seeded team in the knockouts, having qualified as the best 4th-placed team thanks to a remarkable haul of four bonus points. Their never-say-die attitude was on full display in their final group match, where they pushed group winners Zoran to the brink in a 23-17 loss, securing the bonus point that ultimately booked their ticket.
However, Coach Ferne Huxtable is warning against any complacency. "A team that fights for every point, even in defeat, is a dangerous team," Huxtable stated in a press conference. "They have nothing to lose and everything to gain. We will not be taking them lightly. Our focus and intensity must be at the level of a semi-final, not a first-round knockout."
The Road to the Cup is Set
The knockout bracket, determined by the snake-seeding system, offers a clear view of the potential path to glory for the top seeds.
A victory for Adaikes would see them face the winner of the all-Auran clash between Saint Mark (8) and Giovanniland (9) in the Quarterfinals. Crucially, the #1 seed avoids the other top contenders like hosts Ryxtylopia (2) and powerhouses Overthinkers (3) and Dalimbar (6) until a potential final.
For a squad laden with veterans playing in their last World Cup, this is the perfect scenario. The pressure is on, but the path is laid before them. The mission for United Adaikes is no longer just to compete; it is to validate their #1 seeding and march relentlessly towards rugby's ultimate prize.
The nation holds its breath. The knockout stage awaits.

United Adaikes got a reaction from Larxia in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
The United Adaikes national team has officially punched its ticket to the Round of 16 of RWC6, but not without surviving a major scare from a determined Saint Mark side. In a tense, back-and-forth battle, the Sharks emerged victorious 27-21, a result that seals the top spot in Group C and, crucially, they still need to show an A-game in the last match day to have the most favorable path forward in the quest for the world title.
The match was a stark contrast to their opening-day rout. Saint Mark, smarting from their narrow win over Larxia, came out with a ferocious defensive game plan, stifling Adaikes' powerful forward carriers at the gain line. The first half was a brutal arm-wrestle, with the teams trading penalties and the scoreboard ticking over slowly.
The breakthrough came early in the second half when veteran fly-half Koby Rose, showing all his 38 years of guile, put wing Venceslas Aaron into space with a perfectly timed miss-pass for the game's first try. However, Saint Mark responded immediately, capitalizing on a rare handling error from United Adaikes to score under the posts and level the match.
With the game in the balance, it was the leadership core that stepped up. Captain and lock Ryanne Thrussell produced a monumental turnover at a critical ruck deep in the Sharks territory, and from the ensuing possession, scrum-half Ursella Bissette sparked a counter-attack that ended with powerhouse number 8 Cearra Hampton crashing over. The final ten minutes were a masterclass in game management, with fullback Hernan Jacobson expertly finding touch and the forward pack controlling possession to close out the hard-fought win.
A Quick Look Around Group C : Larxia Keeps Hopes Alive
In the other Group C fixture, Larxia secured a vital, if underwhelming, 6-0 victory over Ageros. The match, devoid of any tries, was decided by two penalty goals. The win gives Larxia 5 points and keeps their knockout stage hopes firmly alive, setting up a dramatic final matchday against the Sharks. For Ageros, a loss in the last match day will confirm their elimination from the tournament.
The Road to the Cup: A Group Winner's Advantage
With this victory, United Adaikes (10 points) cannot be caught at the top of Group C. More importantly, as Group C winners, they are now guaranteed a seeded position in the Round of 16.
As per the tournament structure, the five group winners will be ranked against each other as seeds 1 through 5. With 10 points and a healthy points difference, the Sharks is in a strong position to claim one of the top seeds. This is a massive advantage. The snake seeding system for the knockouts means the top seeds will face the lowest-ranked qualifiers.
Seed 1 plays the best 4th-placed team (Seed 16). Seeds 2-6 plays the 11th-15th seeds (lower-ranked 3rd-placed teams). Avoiding the other group winners until the later rounds is the primary goal of the pool stage, and Coach Ferne Huxtable's squad has achieved exactly that. Their final match against Larxia is now a chance to build momentum, rotate the squad, and fine-tune strategies before the do-or-die knockout phase begins. The mission is clear: rest, recover, and prepare for a run at the cup from the most enviable position possible.
Final Score: United Adaikes 27 (Tries: Aaron, Hampton; Con: Jacobson; Pens: Jacobson 5) - Saint Mark 21

United Adaikes reacted to Larxia in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
Kaelen: Good evening and welcome to our wrap-up of an intense first day of the Rugby World Cup. I’m Kaelen Vance.
Lyra: And I’m Lyra Korin. It was a day of high drama across all five groups, but for fans here in Larxia, it ends in disappointment. The national team has begun its campaign with a heartbreakingly narrow 10–9 loss to Saint Mark in what was a truly grueling contest.
Kaelen: You can’t get any closer than that. A single point separating the two sides after 80 minutes of incredibly physical rugby. While it’s certainly not the start the team or their supporters were hoping for, the players can hold their heads high after an immense effort.
Lyra: Absolutely. It was a defensive masterclass from both teams, a real tactical battle. Larxia’s defensive line was superb all evening, repelling wave after wave of attack. Ultimately, Saint Mark were just clinical enough to take their chances and see out the result. It’s a tough pill to swallow, but the team’s fighting spirit was undeniable.
Kaelen: And that spirit earned them what could be a vital losing bonus point. Securing that point for finishing within a seven-point margin ensures they don't leave the first matchday empty-handed. In a tournament this competitive, that single point could make all the difference down the line.
Group C Report
Lyra: Let's look at the other result from Group C, which painted a very different picture. United Adaikes started their tournament with a powerful statement, defeating Ageros 32–10.
Kaelen: They were dominant from the start, scoring four tries to secure a valuable bonus point. That victory puts them at the top of the group with five points. It’s a clear indication that they are a major contender to advance from the group, and it makes Larxia's next match against Ageros an absolutely crucial fixture.
Around the Groups: Matchday One Roundup
Lyra: Now, let's take a brief look at the action from the other groups around the tournament.
Kaelen: In Group A, both matches were tight, low-scoring affairs. Ryxtylopia began their campaign with a 19–10 victory over Staneburg, while Nouveauterra ground out a tough 6–3 win against Materos.
Lyra: Group B saw two incredibly close contests where losing bonus points were key. Zoran edged out Inseberistan 19–14, and Hertfordshire and Jammbo managed a 17–12 win against Arifiyyah. Both Inseberistan and Arifiyyah will be glad to have a point on the board.
Kaelen: Over in Group D, we saw a mix of outcomes. Giovanniland looked impressive in a 24–7 bonus-point win over Zogradia. Meanwhile, Overthinkers were pushed all the way by Jerimiahia, eventually winning by just two points, 16–14.
Lyra: And finally in Group E, Teralyon produced one of the day's standout performances, defeating Greiya 21–0 and securing a bonus point. In the group’s other match, Dalimbar started their tournament with a hard-fought 10–7 victory against Varanius.
Final Thoughts
Kaelen: So, a day of contrasting fortunes across the World Cup. For Larxia, it’s a feeling of what might have been. The disappointment is palpable, but there are positives to take, especially the team's defensive resilience and that all-important bonus point.
Lyra: That’s right. It's a setback, not a disaster. The path to the knockout stages is more challenging now, but it's far from closed. The team will need to regroup and focus entirely on getting a result against Ageros in their next match. The fans will be sad tonight, but their support will be crucial in lifting the team for the next challenge. The journey is only just beginning.
Kaelen: Well said, Lyra. That’s all the time we have for tonight. We’ll be back tomorrow with more news and analysis as the tournament continues. Thank you for joining us.

United Adaikes got a reaction from Dalimbar in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]

Black Mountains Spa Retreat, Gvhnage Dodalv, Zoran
Atsila relaxed in the natural hot spring, sighing as she stared at the rising sun. No politics, no turmoil, no international power plays, just pure relaxation. She has never actually been to a hot spring until now, such a trip was always a luxury for the ultra rich such as the Corporate oligarchs. She always wondered what the appeal of them was until now.
I am trying to remember...when was the last time I was this relaxed? Have I ever really been this relaxed before?
She pondered as the sun rose higher in the horizon, the black sky turning a pale blue with every second. The mountain birds sang their morning songs as the steam from the pools of volcanic water, leaves rustling in the chill breeze of the mountain. But all that was interrupted when her work phone began to vibrate. She groaned in annoyance as she picked up the phone, saying nothing as she accepted the call. The first thing she hears as the line connects is,
"Atsila help!"
She immediately hangs up, setting the phone aside and saying to herself,
"Nope. Nope nope nopety nope. I am not being dragged into whatever issue is going on. It has nearly been a full week and they haven't had to call me yet. I am sure they can handle my absence for a day or two longer."
Almost immediately her phone began to vibrate again. She pinches the ridge of her nose, groaning loudly in annoyance before answering the phone again.
"Atsila! Now is not the time to be petulant!"
She hung up again. She was going to hear him out this time until he said she was being petulant.
He's fine. I'm sure he is.
She thought to herself when a third call came to her phone and she begrudingly answered,
"Atsila! I'm serious! The Brave Talons called for a motion of no confidence yesterday!" yelled Chancellor Yenuha.
She rolls her eyes as she settles back against the edge of the hot spring,
"Then handle it, win enough support to win the vote." she says nonchalantly as she continued staring at the sunrise.
"It's not that simple! When Sasa moved for a vote of no confidence, Junaluska seconded the motion! This means I don't have the full support of the coalition!" panicked Chancellor Yenuha, "If the Junaluskanists are going to support the Brave Talons along with their coalition then my government is out!"
"And what do you want me to do about it? This is purely a legislative matter. If you can't get majority through your usual allies then maybe reach a deal with the Golden Crown party." she replies with disinterest,
"The Golden Crown party!?" he exclaims in disbelief, "Why would they vote against a motion that they would benefit from!?"
"They're not unreasonable, they're always open to compromise if it benefits them in some way. Not to mention that they aren't exactly big fans of the Brave Talons. To the Golden Crown party, the Brave Talons are what the Junaluskanists are to you. So if you want to make sure you don't lose your job, I recommend reaching out to the Golden Crowns."
"...Fine," sighs Chancellor Yenuha, "I will reach out to them...but I'm not going to be happy about it."
"I believe you once told me that is what part of being an adult is about. It's about time you follow your own counsel." chuckles Atsila, "Now, unless you have any other problems I am going back to my vacation. Good luck."
She hangs up and tosses her phone aside as she sighs in annoyance.
This was nearly a perfect, stress free, vacation. Of course it had to be the Brave Talons and the Junaluskanists causing problems. I am just going to enjoy the rest of my vacation, maybe enjoy a virgin piña colada.
The sun has now fully risen over the horizon, the moon and the gas giant slowly fading from the sky as the sun's rays dominating the sky, illuminating all they touch.

Staneburg Secures Spot in Round of 16 After Win Over Nouveauterra
By Anna Wilson, SBC Sports
Thur, October 2 1425
Staneburg Rugby secured their spot in the Round of 16 of the Knockout stage after beating Nouveauterra by 7 points. This fixture was shown to be a tense match. However, Staneburg pushed hard against Nouveaterra to get a 14 - 7 win in order to secure a spot in the round of 16.
The Match started off as a tough match which had both sides defending well. With Nouveauterra being the better side, they struck first during the 18th minute, when Staneburg’s flanker Sebastian Lenz charged into Nouveauterra’s half and got stripped of the ball. This turnover proved to be costly as Nouveauterra shifted the ball wide and Remko Slotmans sprinted down the right flank to dive in the corner with Tedus Pisca converting it to make Nouveauterra lead the match by 7 points. Staneburg’s squad looked rattled at first but later remained focused that they got a response by the 35th minute when fly-half Marcel Schulte spotted space behind the Nouveauterra’s defensive line and chipped the ball for Leon Schröder to run through the right wing and cross the line for a try score with Captain Jonas Hartmann converting it to level the game at 7-7 by half-time.
During the second half, both teams were pushing hard but the defenses were holding firm. At this stage, victory seemed within the reach for both teams. Staneburg had an opportunity to take the lead during the 55th minute, when they were awarded a penalty, however Jonas Hartmann missed it which made the game remain 7 - 7. Nouveauterra sensing a chance attempted to build pressure but it was to no avail. In the 70th minute, after a series of passes from one side to the other, Daniel Maurer managed to run through the defense and cross the line and with Hartmann’s conversion made the game 14 - 7. The squad were excited as they qualified to the Round of 16. Despite their defeat, Nouveauterra advanced into the Round of 16 finishing 3rd in Group A. Meanwhile, Ryxtylopia remains undefeated in the tournament after beating Materos by 4 points.
Staneburg’s next match will be against Hertfordshire and Jammbo, a team known for winning the 1st Rugby World Cup. This is obviously going to be another challenge for Staneburg as they would be facing another experienced team. However Team Manager Richard Schmidt stated that “We know the quality of the team we’re up against, but our players will be prepared. The goal is to make it a tough contest and show that we deserve to be here”. Whatever the results, Staneburg Rugby has shown that they can compete at this stage.

United Adaikes reacted to Dalimbar in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
"Are they making up new countries now?"
"Where are they even located?"
"Have you heard of them before?"
The Boys in Blue were enjoying a post-match dinner together, but instead of eating from the buffet most of the squad were confusedly looking over several maps while taking sips of their vodka.
"Oh! Found them!" Terenti Sukhrab, hooker for the squad, exclaimed as he jabbed his index finger at the map. It was the island nation of Jerimiahia, their opponents in the Round of 16.
"Has that island always been there? I still think the barbarians are just making up new places now. The Zoranians are already enough of a weird enough people, the Markians so pompous and uptight, and the Dilberians so drugged up that I wouldn't be surprised if one day some group of wayward barbarians just... made up an island to confuse us." ranted Nikolai Blago, the youngest of the active squad who seemingly has consumed the most vodka out of the group by now.
"Oh hush, Niki. Let's see what that External Affairs brief binder says about them" said Anton Kirill, grabbing a black binder that provided the team the barest of details about the outside world.
Jerimiahia: Small island off the eastern Auran coast. Poor barbarians.
"That's... it? That's all those pencil pushers in External Affairs have for us?" growled Anton.
"Maybe their team hasn't taken a luxury mission there yet?" muttered Nikolai, before Anton flicks him on his forehead.
"Again, hush Niki. Go eat some food. Now, have you been there, Luka?" Anton said to Luka Ivica, captain of the Boys.
"No, closest I've been would be Saint Mark. Might be similar? Oh well, just another barbarian to beat. Drink up, lads!" the captain said while sipping from his glass before lighting a cigarette.

Materos VS Ryxtylopia- Match Highlighs.
The TVNC tranmission started in the Chacas Arena, filled to the brim with already celebratory crowds, expecting an easy win against the bottom scoring team in Ryxtylopia's group.
Pablo Virriscayda once again was in charge of the live commentry for TVNC.
"Good evening ladies and gentlemen! You are watching TVNC! And as always im Pablo Virriscayda comentating for this match, where we will see RYXTYLOPIA! go up against MATEROS! The pirates are already qualified as group leaders and want a victory before moving on to the Round of 16! While Materos needs to win to keep their qualification hopes alive! We expect to see them put up resistance in this match"
As the referee does the coin toss, Ryxtylopia wins it, deciding to start by kicking off.
"The coin is tossed, and it seems... Ryxtylopia will once again start by kicking off in the Chacas Arena against a debutant! Exciting match ahead!"
KICK OFF The pirates kick off, starting the match with around half of the ryxtylopian team starting to move forward and push against the materosian defense, the first tackles and rucks, starting only a few seconds after kick off.
"And, LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, THE MATCH HAS STARTED! DALÉ RYXTYLOPIA, DALÉ TRICOLOR!"
03' | 0-0 Starting off really agressive the pirates would have their first major chance at the 3rd minute. Following a good tackle by Marco Xilta, Ryxtylopia's Andreís Guilbirto had the ball, and he was able to make it deep into the materosian side, but before being able to score the try he was stopped by a good tackle by materosian Right-Wing: Berto Kalayaan, Materos regained posession and went on the offense not long after.
"Xilta tackles! Guilbirto takes posession, the pirates want the first it will be Guilbirto unless- STOPPED BY BERTO! Berto denies it, and now Crefnol Paragnia takes the ball back for Materos!"
08' | 7-0 F. Chalquaté (RYX)
M. Xilta (RYX)
Following a scrum committed by the ryxtylopians Materos would attempt to go on the offensive with lock: Ririt Dixon making good progress into the ryxtylopian side of the field, but after being tackled by Marco Va'atí; Rinaco Zicha regained posession for the ryxtylopians and made incredible speed across the right lane, passing then to Armando Mataña who got the ball through Crefnol Paragnia and Tomas Uhmuhdezz. With A. Mataña then making one last pass to Franco Chalquaté, who finally reached the other end of the field avoiding getting tackled by materosian fullback Raffy Bantigon, and scoring the try for the pirates.
Marco Xilta converted with no issues, bringing up Ryxtylopia 8 minutes in.
"Dixon, tackled by Va'atí! Posession is in Zicha's hands! He is through, he's speeding through! Zicha, pass! Mataña, makes it through! Great dodging there! They're getting close, a lot of the materosian backlines is having trouble catching up! Pass! To Chalquaté, he just needs to get past Bantigon! And SCORE! SCORE! SCORE! SCORE! SCOOOOOOREEEEEEE! RYXTYLOPIA SCORES, CHALQUATÉ, HE LANDED THE TRY!"
"Xilta has the conversion kick, he has not failed so far in this RWC... AND HE DOESN'T FAIL THIS TIME! Ryxtylopia 7, Materos 0!"
19' | 14-0 R. Dipartí (RYX)
M. Xilta (RYX)
Posession was heavily fought for by both sides during all this time, Ryxtylopia loosing the ball in some ocations. While Materos' team despite finding themselves losing still attacked with the same energy as in the start. But it cost them following a ruck in th last seconds of the 18th minute, as after losing posession, A. Guilbirto managed to carry the ball just far enough for a pass to losehead prop: Rinaco Dipartí to make the try. As Ryxtylopia pulled further away on the score.
Xilta once again took, and scored the conversion, with Ryxtylopia's coach: Andreís Tivarra starting to make him the team's de-facto conversion kicker.
"We have a ruck! And oooooof... that's a bad spot for Materos to lose the ball in, Guilbirto once again to carry it forwards! He's through, the materosian defense is scrambled everywhere! He dodges and weaves! Pass to Dipartí and SCOOOOOOREEEE! SCORE! SCORE! The Pirates once again score! Dipartí makes the try!"
"OOOh- XILTA! XILTA! OOOh- XILTA! XILTA! XILTA! SCOOOORES! THE CONVERSION! We could sing about it all day long! Ryxtylopia 14, Materos 0!"
28' | 14-7 R. Dixon (MRS)
V. Birchiston (MRS)
Not all was sunshine, rainbows and unicorns for Ryxtylopia in the first half, as on the 28th, as a knock on comitted by inside centre: Ezicaiel Varrazqué let Materos gain a golden chance following the scrum. Materosian lock: Beryll Allard skilfully avoided a tackle attempt by Pailo Mataña, leaving the ryxtylopian in the dust. B. Allard then made a pass to Ririt Dixon, whom Ernysto Rivas couldn't stop in time, landing the try for Materos.
Materos' Number 8: Vara Birchiston took the conversion, and scored, bringing Materos up by a total of 7.
"Materos came off better in that scrum! Beryll Allard has the ball! He runs! Tack- NO TACKLE! Pailo Mataña falls to the ground in his attempt to get the materosian! Pass to Dixon! He can score unless Rivas pulls his defensive mastermind! Annnd... Score! Score! Materos Scooooooooreeeees! The coordination between Dixon and Allard back there was pretty good! Now they have a conversion!"
"Birchiston to take the conversion! Annnnd... Materos are now only trailing behind by 7!"
HALF TIME The remaining minutes of the first half were extremly hard-fought for both teams. As both went agressively at eachother sometimes achieving some results, most of the time ending up in rucks, and mauls and many tackles. Ryxtylopia had advantage by half-time but there was still a long match ahead.

Both teams continued now with slightly more caution, or at least for the first 4 minutes they did, until the 44th, when Ryxtylopia's defense failed to stop Nora Bond, with only Jilvian Ampardí trying to stop the materosian from getting any further, but with N. After having exhausted himself, D. Llarson managed a pass to Wallas Fergerson, whom scored the try.

Huichilca following close by, he managed to regain posession as the ball was on the ground and land the try.

Chalquaté who ran deep into the materosian side of the field, getting Berto Kalayaan to move to intercept him as Chalquaté made the pass back to A. United Adaikes reacted to Zoran in Rugby World Cup VI [rosters, roleplays, results]
30 September, 1425

Brave Talon Party Office, Alisdulo'i, Zoran
Sasa sat down at her desk and turned on her computer to read the latest news headlines today. She only does so to get a general sense of what is happening in the country and abroad in case there is something she does not know about.
At least our rugby team is demonstrating Zoranian superiority over the xenos.
She thought to herself as she scrolls past the rugby news which features the foolish Quiyakaso and the generously patient Priscan. Everything seemed average for the country, unfortunately, until she saw a headline that caught her attention.
Queen Atsila on Vacation for the First Time since Assuming the Throne
A wide grin had taken involuntarily taken root on her face in reaction to the news. It was as though the Great Spirit had decided to give her a blessing this day, and oh boy wash she ecstatic.
Atsila has left the capital? For a whole week? Oh the possibilities of what I can do are endless without her stabilizing presence in the capital!
She quickly spun around in her swivel chair with glee before she opened her filing cabinet and began searching through her backlog of schemes she won't dare risk executing while Atsila was in the capital before her gaze settled on one folder in particular which simply had the words "Government Illegality" written on the label. She pulled it out and read through the paperwork with a sinister grin,
"Oh this is perfect." she cackles to herself before standing up, grabbing her briefcase, and speeding out of her office with the file in hand.

Temporary Parliamentary Building, Alisdulo'i, Zoran
The session of the Iyunadai went as normal, proposals on the agenda were discussed, voting was held, etc. But this normalcy was interrupted when Sasa addressed the speaker,
"Madame speaker! I request an emergency debate on a constitutional matter!"
The room erupted into surprised conversation, the members of the Red Throne party and the Golden Crown party both puzzled by this sudden request. The Speaker raised her eyebrow and asked,
"What is this constitutional matter which you speak? Clearly you have us all at a disadvantage."
Sasa smiled, confidence radiated off of her as she said,
"The matter in question is regarding the constitutionally stipulated ombudsman which this current Government has failed to recommend an appointment to the Iyunadai in the two years it has been in power! We in the Brave Talon party are greatly concerned by this current Government's ability to have gone unsupervised for the past two years without ever mentioning this constitutionally mandated appointment!"
The room went silent at her words before members of the opposition suddenly changed their earlier tone and began jeering at the majority in the government. The majority coalition quickly attempted a rebuttal of this claims, except for the Junaluskanist who seemingly joined in the jeering of their allies possibly seeing an opportunity for themselves. The Speaker banged her gavel and exclaimed,
"Silence!" and the room soon fell quiet as she looked at Sasa with a suspicious look in her eyes, "I see your point, Lawmaker Sasa. Yet I do not believe the matter is severe enough for an emergency debate on the matter."
The opposition went into outrage, banging on their desks as they spewed furious vitriol. Sasa was sent back to her set yet she was not deterred. Later in the session she asked for the floor and says,
"I move that this Iyunadai has no confidence in the Chancellor or his government."
The air was tense once again as everyone processed what she had just said and the Speaker narrows her eyes as she says,
"A motion for a vote of no confidence has been heard. Does anyone second this motion?"
There was silence for a moment and Sasa suddenly felt she had made a mistake considering none from her party has spoken up yet when all of the sudden everyone heard,
"I second the motion!" and all eyes looked for the source of the voice only to find it coming from none other than Junaluska. A gasp filled the chamber and the Speaker was fuming before she composed herself and said,
"Very well. The floor has motioned that the Iyunadai does not have confidence in the Chancellor or his government. The mover has the floor to begin the debate."
But before Sasa could even begin, Chancellor Yenuha promptly requested recognition and said,
"I move for the current motion to be tabled in order to be discussed at a later date."
He was sweating but it wasn't long before one of his fellow party members in the Red Throne seconded the motion. Sasa was fuming but she knew it wasn't over.
The damage is done, we will have to debate this eventually. This will allow me time to sway others to my side.
She glared at Chancellor Yenuha from across the floor and they locked eyes for a moment before the Chancellor diverted his gaze. It was then that Sasa looked at Junaluska with curiosity as to why he seconded her motion in the first place, wondering what he is planning.
