Perhaps we have to just yank the tooth out already. Let's hold a vote in the Voice to dissolve the Union and its bureaucracies. The former Offices of WA Affairs, Internal Affairs, and Foreign Affairs can go under the jurisdiction of the onsite government and the onsite government can inherit all of the paperwork of the Union. Afterward, the onsite government can choose to keep the subforums on this site for their own use or ask Winni to delete them once the documents are moved over to the onsite. A good amount of people feel there is no use for the forum government anymore. If the Advocate and Delegate will give me their approval, I'd like to start a thread for the vote so we can stop talking and start doing. As for finding a replacement for the subforums for the government offices, I'd be more than happy to extend my help. I'd like to say I've gotten quite good at factbooks and BBCoding, so I'd be able to create factbooks that serve as directories and repositories for government documents. Using BBCode I've been able to simulate wikis, newspapers, websites, and text documents.

Then just enjoy what you can sense in front of you, because somehow, whether or not you are real, you can perceive, you are aware. You can experience the world around you, and are conscious. Even if you aren't real, you can do more than anything that would happen in a real universe devoid of life. Your existence is more meaningful than any real universe because the fact that you are conscious and self-aware gives meaning to a world that has none otherwise. The meaning of life and of the universe dies with the life that can experience it. After that, there is essentially nothing in a universe that is heat dead. It simply is. Stand up and stretch your legs. Turn the computer off or put the phone down. Go outside and look around. Experience life, because a universe with meaning has a finite time left. The universe just wants to be observed while it still can be. Experience it to give meaning to the world. Do it for yourself. We will all die much sooner than we'd like to admit, and simply won't be. Contribute something before you have to return to the void. Perhaps life is a dream of sorts. Enjoy it before you have to wake up.

We've discussed dissolving the forum government, but then IRL comes up and everyone drops what they're doing and forgets about the forum government problem. That is, until someone posts about it again and we have the same discussion until IRL finds its way into our discussions again.

We use the offsite forum for activities and such, so it would be good to keep it. Let's not conflate the offsite government with the offsite community.

Well, there's New Year's, both Gregorian and Lunar, the solstices and equinoxes, perhaps a Mid-Winter Carnival, Delegate Day as a day of appreciation for our Delegate and Guardians, Roo Fur Rebellion day to commemorate when the pouchies were deposed, and a month completely devoted to TWP's national dish, Chocolate with coffee.

Perhaps Elegarth could set up a poll eventually so we can get a better visual on the demographics of TWP? Personally, I think that would be cool.

Perhaps instead of an Internal Affairs branch of government, just a voluntary rotating committee to get things done? That way people can participate without worrying about the obligations of an official position.
