  1. Hmm....I'd like to do this. I'm better suited to this role and soon my time is going to become a lot more freed up. (finishing my MSA degree) I'll provide and answer by the end of the weekend.
  2. Can someone tell me what the current military masks are?
  3. can the admin team make my hair grow like it used to? I know that might not be in your purview but we have a great admin team and I figured it was worth a shot!!
  4. hehe...but I like spamming the admin thread. *pouts* hahaha
  5. Yeah, Guardians can see everything (ah, miss those days ) so it is moot from that perspective. But, just for the sake of argument let's assume that a DA goes off the rails, if all DAs can see everything then we've just left ourselves open. With Guardians & Admins able to access all areas, I think there's enough oversight of the DAs so that we shouldn't have to worry about something happening on the boards that would put the region at risk. From a military perspective, I'd like to be able to conduct covert ops if necessary and keep as minimum people in the loop as possible just because of the security of the missions. With intel missions it's even more imperative to have as few knowing what's being done. If the FA DA would like other DAs in the know, I get that, especially for input and whatnot...but i'm not sure the street should go both ways.
  6. I agree with Westie. I'm not a fan of all DA's having access to all areas. For instance, I'm perfectly fine not having access to all areas of intel - the fewer people who have access to the most secretive intel areas the better - and I'd prefer not all people have access to the army's most secretive areas. I'll defer to Elegarth, of course, but that's my opinion.
  7. Could we demask everyone who is masked as military at this point? Also - it looks like intelligence is no longer under the purview of defense. Would it be possible to move Intel to it's own area? This is just a matter of choice for me but i'd rather not see posts in intel, try to click, and get a permission warning. If not, I'll be fine but if Intel is no longer under Defense I'd prefer it to be in its own slice of the forum world.
  8. I like my old tag of "former delegate" Not that i don't like this one, but i'm partial to that one. Is it possible to get that as my primary and this be secondary. If not, it's no biggie, but figured I'd at least ask. Elegarth - i do not have access to the echo chamber, fwiw.
  9. I like the ad Fish. We are indeed in a new start and as with most things new, I fully hope that we will get our creative juices flowing as Fish has. Members of the TWPAF will soon learn that I lead looking to inspire versus control. I hope people in TWPAF feel free to communicate openly and share their ideas. Fish - can you shoot me a note with any other ideas you have around advertising and let's see where we want to go with this. I think this is awesome what you have here. What I want to make sure we do, and admittedly I owe Elegarth a TG, is stay in alignment with our Advocate's vision for TWP. Unity is a strength of regions that is undervalued in today's NS but is something I hope we new leaders build as the "old Guard" - one that is very unified - look to pass on to less green pastures. Well...not all of us old Guard that is...hehe
  10. Thank you. Looking forward to making some significant progress.
  11. Thanks. Leading the military is hard and often thankless work.
  12. No - I don't think this was merit-wide practice. I can't recall who I saw do it. But it was someone and I thought it was cool and adopted it since. This is nothing new for me, but for some unfamiliar with me it can be a bit shocking. As I said, it doesn't matter to me how people choose to vote for themselves, abstain, or vote for someone else. I'm just giving my thoughts on how I vote. Dark, when one always votes for the opponent it becomes a known fact. I've won and lost a lot of elections, but I can't think of one i've lost because I voted for my opponent. Never say never, but it hasn't happened yet.
  13. Yes voting for oneself is not cultural for me. It is part of gameplay. I have run for RL elections and in those elections I do vote for myself and plan to continue doing so. URAP - some youngsters don't understand the concept of a loss today is a win for tomorrow. In PD's life, PD has never been the guy who is immediately seen as the leader or the one to follow. PD's strength comes in consistency and longevity. When you say the same things over time, people tend to believe you. I have lost many elections and I shall probably lose many more, but I think my win percentage has to be at least 60 percent plus. Part of running this race was to demonstrate one can lose without disparaging one's opponent(s). I wish Elegarth well and hope that he leads well. It's what we need and I hope for the sake of those who voted for him, it's what we get.
  14. Just b/c some of you do not know me well, I always - repeat - always vote for my opponent if the election is between two candidates. It has nothing to do with the candidate, everything to do with things I learned in the Merit. It is the height of ego to believe one can vote for one's opponent and still win. I've always admired the brashness of such a statement and have continued the practice for at least 8 years. I don't begrudge those that vote for themselves. This is my personal choice and every one should choose how they wish to vote for themselves. In this race, this could be the very first time I do not garner a single vote. This seems to indicate the telegram I rec'd from a respected friend is indeed correct. No matter, it is good to lose elections every now and then - keeps the mind sharp.
  15. Why wait for the election to end, go ahead and post. Whoever wins, this could be helpful.
  16. I've taken 6 years of spanish in high school and college. My written spanish sucks, my conversation spanish is just a little better, but I read spanish decently well. I'm very interested in this topic. Me llamo PD y soy de Nuevo Jersey.
  17. This isn't hard at all. We've got a great RMB community. I want to and will leverage that community to aide us in getting more folks here. It's all about awareness and easiness. I will work with our delegate to create a factbook entry called "How to get involved in TWP" and show new nations or older nations that aren't involved a way to get involved here. Now here's the thing, I don't want to solely focus on off-site in this post but would like to talk about RMB stuff like random conversations, karaoke friday's, Dark's chocolate love and the favor it brings if you give her chocolate, etc. Our current Guide to NS is great but what I want to do is create a guide specific to TWP and with links to ways to get involved here on the offsite forum. The other thing we need to do is send out weekly telegrams to the region on what's going on here in the Voice. That's a bit ambitious yes but it's also a great recruitment tool to get newer nations involved. I will work hard to be able to do that on a weekly basis because the benefits of such a telegram in getting people here can't be underscored.
