  1. I truly appreciate the time that you (all three of you) are taking to clarify your position and to engage in discussion. Thank you.
  2. Lesson number one in managing public perception: Don't be surprised when people make up their own scenarios, when you don't provide answers (true or false) or at least control the direction of their imaginations. My guess is Unibot. (Now you see where I'm coming from, I think) Who wrote it?
  3. Seems like we have a small group of people who would like to try. But no one is able/willing to begin and guide our attempts. Perhaps we should consider importing a mentor to help us learn? If we have support for that idea, I will go on a talent search and try to find us an infinitely patient volunteer to teach us.
  4. I agree that the article did not touch at all on the UDL and any alleged spirit of cooperation existing inside the NPO. On the bright side, that means the problem is indeed one of perception. I have confidence that the The Pacific knows how to manage public perception. That's all I am going to say about that. I giggled a bit at the hand-waving concerning "duality." Especially considering the honored Pierconium's appearance here in this thread. I will be very interested in this aspect of the essay series along with the disposition of those "place holders" hiding among the coerced in order to... combat the influence(?) of the enforced. I've missed essays like this. I liked it. Who wrote it? (I'm not going to stop asking, ya know. Cuz I'm stubborn like that)
  5. >.< Oh ffs. You're going to make me read that whole thing, aren't you. Then I'm gonna get all mad and sad and in a kerfluffle because the article is going to imply TP's ties to the UDL are more than the Senate is vocalizing. After my coffee. And my stupid RL meeting at 11:30. Also... Who wrote the article?
  6. So sad. Hope he reinvents himself later, after he has learned how the game and the politics actually work.
  7. Be well, Charax. There will always beaplacefor you in TWP. Thank you.
  8. Hi Tush. Welcome to TWP! Do you have any chocolate?
  9. That is the truth! Especially unwritten rules regarding social norms. Just ask Mel Brooks.
  10. I just want to be sure no one is breaking rule #2.
  11. Can we make it ooze green goo? That would be cool.
  12. I think we "old folks" have been left in the dust on this one. It's the newer crowd that seems to be up in arms about it. And frankly, I'm a bit surprised it's suddenly an issue. That sig was there for quite a while.
  13. I don't know enough about the WA world, to know if this is true or not.
  14. YES! That's it. I got roped into a facebook game that is very similar except it's water instead of space. Thanks. Now, I'll leave you boys to continue bonding.
  15. Okay. That was a good one. HA! On a totally different subject; any chance you remember the name of that space game we were all playing a few years ago? I have been wracking my brain for it but keep coming up with Asteroids. I know that's not it. Asteroids was an arcade game in the 80's. Getting older is really starting to get on my nerves.
  16. Ivan! Where the hell have you been?
  17. Could I borrow a handful of the burny glitter?
  18. Ah, the stressful memories of 3am raging flamefests on IRC over who was a bigger OOC Dick for not keeping everything completely IC. Irony is the most abundant crop in NS.
