  2. In real life, basically every country has a national anthem, so I decided to create a forum where we can talk about our national anthems. Zogradia's anthem is called "My Beautiful Zogradia" (lyrics here). It was partially inspired by Lupang Hinirang (Philippines), and has a similar rhythm, and is meant to be celebratory and cheerful. It's available in five languages (English, Korean, Arabic, Russian, and German), though the different languages would have different rhythms than the original English version (an Ikida translation is planned, too).
  3. I'll continue it! Name: Thomas Taylor Occupation(Use some sense with this.): Surgeon Age: 28 Description(if you'd like. A pic works too.) 6'2", reasonably fit, caucasian, not the nicest person. Biography(optional): Born in Sapak, Zogradia, having always dreamed of going into space, he arrived on Henn City 2 months ago. Any other details: Only recently adapted to 0-G, frequently exercises, hasn't contacted anyone on the ground since he arrived on the station.
  4. Vote: Which side of the road should Zogradi cars drive on?

  5. Being an island nation without any land borders can be a bit lonely at times. Then again, the last time I shared land borders with anyone, I was fighting for independence from them.

  6. ... I check in on the forums and NS every day. I'm not going anywhere. Though I have been traveling quite a bit this past month (and I don't post much), so I guess I can't really blame you for thinking that.

  9. I'm just curious; how would you describe our international relations with each-other? Do you view Zogradia positively? Negatively? Do you consider us a vital ally/trade partner? I'd love to know your opinion! Note: I plan on using this information for the Zogradi National Factbook.

  13. The Arab walks towards the grill to see what's going on, thinking twice about walking into the mart. "Oh well, free burgers!"
  14. Revolutionary You scored 93 Equality, 86 Liberty, and 50 Stability! Your overwhelming attachment to both liberty and equality makes you a blend of the Anarchist and the Communist and you may call yourself both. Others may see revolution as a useful tool but for you it must be a constant phenomenon. Concentrations of power form in a stagnant world and so it is necessary to always be challenging inertia in society and in oneself. You are likely to think that other communists are gravely mistaken in regarding the state as useful. And you think other anarchists are overly egocentric – sometimes you have got to commit to your fellows and your cause till the very end. If this is all a bit much for you then try the Radical on for size. Not completely true, but mostly.
  15. I got 29 out of 30! I only missed the capital of New Zealand, though, to be fair, that's not really something I would know.
  16. Where are you URAP? The Zogradi Research Institute needs you!

  19. Ambassador... it has a nice ring to it!

  20. Sometimes. I am currently learning German, Italian, Spanish (reluctantly), Dutch, Turkish, Portuguese, Thai (trying to, at least), and Klingon (and I'm hoping to find a way to learn Arabic), but I can sustain a good conversation in German and Italian, and I will occasionally think of the word for something in one of those languages, like "anatra" instead of "duck", and if I tried to impersonate Germanyball, I would eventually just be speaking full German. I also rarely count in English. I know how to count to 10 in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Klingon, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese, and I'm trying to memorize it in Thai and Korean. When I count things in my head, I often count in either German or Arabic if I don't expect to be counting any higher than 10 (12 is the highest I can go in Arabic ['ahad 'ashar]). By the way, in case you were wondering; German; Eins, zwei, drei, vier, fünf, sechs, sieben, acht, neun, zehn. Dutch; Een, twee, drie, vier, vijf, zes, zeven, acht, negen, tien. Spanish; Uno, dos, tres, cuatro, cinco, seis, siete, ocho, nueve, diez. Italian; Una, due, tre, quattro, cinque, sei, sette, otto, nove, dieci. Arabic; Wahid, ithnaan, thalatha, arba'a, khamsa, sitta, sab'a, thamaaniya, tis'a, 'ashara. Klingon: wa', cha', wej, loS, vagh, jav, Soch, chorgh, Hut, wa'maH Russian: Odin, dva, tri, chetir, pyat, shest, sem, bosem, devyat, desyat. Chinese: Yī, ér, sān, sı, wu, liu, chi, baa, jiu, shı.
  21. Good luck in the real world, Elegarth! We hope to see you again soon!
  22. Just made a new flag! It is so much better (and more unique) than the Chuuk flag I previously used! Check out my profile to see what the things mean!
