I really like the idea of bi-monthly! If something really big or exciting comes up and others want to contribute then we could have a special edition. I also think that we can keep it brief. It could be more of a Christmas newsletter (god I hate those) or a bulletin rather than a newspaper.
It might be nice to hear from the Delegate or Guardians every issue. Even if it was only a couple hundred word address to the peeps. It could become a regular feature! Forum government can contribute also.
I like the idea of an issues section. It could be cut and pasted from our forum with some addition from our issues expert.
As I've read some of the newspapers other regions have, I'm frequently bored with the articles. So often they are about people or events that are meaningless to me. I think if we are going to talk about people or events it should be done in a uniquely TWP fashion...snark filled!
Funny RMB quotes?
BREIF explanations of various traditions found in NS might be fun. Like our karaoke or The Pacific's stat posting.

Calling all flag and banner makers!
I am proud to announce the 1st annual TWP Flag and Banner Contest! For this year's contest, there will be four categories:
TWP Themed Flag
TWP Themed Banner
Open Theme Flag
Open Theme Banner
Any nation with a forum account may submit entries. Each nation may submit one entry for each category. The submission deadline is Friday, November 13th. Winners will be selected after.
Submit all entries on this thread.
Prizes: Winner of the TWP Themed Flag will have their flag flown by the region for three days in early November. Winners of the TWP Banner will have their banner flown by the Delegate Mediobogdum and the Delegate-Elect Elegarth for one week in early November.
Disclaimer: There will be three judges. Judges decisions will be final. All flags and banners may be used by nations or for future promotional purposes. By entering the contest you are forfeiting any rights to your immortal soul to TWP their constituents and allies, just kidding...maybe.

I think this is a great idea! I would like to explore this. Zogradia has begun to explore the first issue and some focus would probably help greatly!

I'm certainly open to discussion on this. I feel the commander/DA should be appointed or at least approved by the Delegate.
I can tell you that everything I do for the military while I'm searching for a DA to take over has been run by the Delegate.
Wait, Consular! You have a ton of experience in this. Maybe you should be the DA of Military Affairs? *buys Consular a drink and hands him a bag of unmarked, large increment bills*.

A delegate move executed to preserve/utilize influence. I'm not exactly sure of the mechanics. But the Delegate leaves the region and the person with the most endorsements takes over and burns all of their influence ejecting nations. The Delegate then comes back before the update reclaiming the throne.
I believe it was invented here utilizing TWP brilliance! And I believe one was executed here this past spring.
Consequently the slingshot move failure is what ended the Lazarus drama this past spring as well. When the Delegate left #2 was a plant and ejected the Delegate.

To me the changes proposed are a solid idea. Anything that increases player participation are a positive.

According to the Charter, we will establish arbitors on a case by case basis as needed. And since it isn't used much that may be a good system.
With that being said, debate is a good thing! What was the reasoning for writing the judiciary in this manner when creating the Charter?

As your newly elected Advocate of the Voice of the West Pacific Union, I'd like to say that the forum government is open for business!
I would like to thank everyone for the kind and encouraging words as I step into this role. Members of the Voice, I work for you. Together, we will work with the Delegate to make TWP a region we can all be proud to call home!

I would like to thank each of the DA's for their continued/renewed service. Let's make TWP proud!
I'm looking for two more DA's: Military Affairs and Media.
Military Affairs--I've been organizing troops and training missions for the past few weeks. I will continue to lead this until I find a replacement. Momentum has already started here, but we need an experienced and motivated leader here.
Media--I'd really like to get the newspaper rolling again. (With a region voted name of course) I'm looking for someone who can put out an issue monthly. It need not be long but we need timely publicity.
If you are interested in either position. Please PM me.
As Advocate, my first priorities are to increase membership and increase activity. I'm of the opinion that recruitment of nations to the forum and to become vested members of the Voice is everyone's responsibility. As new active members appear on the RMB, let's encourage them to participate here!
