  1. I think this is a great idea! I would like to explore this. Zogradia has begun to explore the first issue and some focus would probably help greatly! Any ideas?
  2. I really like them both and think they should be rotated.
  3. Here are your finalists: The West Pacifican The West Pacific Snark The Snarky Times Ye Olde Snarkke The Snarky Sun The Weird Pacific Sun
  4. Teaser: TWP Flag contest coming up this week!
  5. I'm certainly open to discussion on this. I feel the commander/DA should be appointed or at least approved by the Delegate. I can tell you that everything I do for the military while I'm searching for a DA to take over has been run by the Delegate. Wait, Consular! You have a ton of experience in this. Maybe you should be the DA of Military Affairs? *buys Consular a drink and hands him a bag of unmarked, large increment bills*.
  6. I'm happy to announce Dass Nachrichten is going to be renamed! We need new name ideas. On the RMB a few days ago someone mentioned TWP Snark. Submit your name ideas. If we get enough of a debate perhaps we can get Medio to create a poll.
  7. I am excited to announce Zogradia as DA of the Media! I am still looking for a DA of Military Affairs.
  8. Could I get Zogradia masked as DA of the Media? Thank you much!
  9. Nearly finished. Will have it out later this week.
  10. A delegate move executed to preserve/utilize influence. I'm not exactly sure of the mechanics. But the Delegate leaves the region and the person with the most endorsements takes over and burns all of their influence ejecting nations. The Delegate then comes back before the update reclaiming the throne. I believe it was invented here utilizing TWP brilliance! And I believe one was executed here this past spring. Consequently the slingshot move failure is what ended the Lazarus drama this past spring as well. When the Delegate left #2 was a plant and ejected the Delegate.
  11. To me the changes proposed are a solid idea. Anything that increases player participation are a positive.
  12. According to the Charter, we will establish arbitors on a case by case basis as needed. And since it isn't used much that may be a good system. With that being said, debate is a good thing! What was the reasoning for writing the judiciary in this manner when creating the Charter?
  13. As your newly elected Advocate of the Voice of the West Pacific Union, I'd like to say that the forum government is open for business! I would like to thank everyone for the kind and encouraging words as I step into this role. Members of the Voice, I work for you. Together, we will work with the Delegate to make TWP a region we can all be proud to call home! The Deputy Advocates will be as follows: WA Affairs--Bhang Bhang Duc Intel--Drachmaland Foreign Affairs--Malviet Internal Affairs--Hariko I would like to thank each of the DA's for their continued/renewed service. Let's make TWP proud! I'm looking for two more DA's: Military Affairs and Media. Military Affairs--I've been organizing troops and training missions for the past few weeks. I will continue to lead this until I find a replacement. Momentum has already started here, but we need an experienced and motivated leader here. Media--I'd really like to get the newspaper rolling again. (With a region voted name of course) I'm looking for someone who can put out an issue monthly. It need not be long but we need timely publicity. If you are interested in either position. Please PM me. As Advocate, my first priorities are to increase membership and increase activity. I'm of the opinion that recruitment of nations to the forum and to become vested members of the Voice is everyone's responsibility. As new active members appear on the RMB, let's encourage them to participate here! If there is anything that you feel needs to be addressed, please let me know! If there is timely or urgent business, please PM me. Badger
  14. Hello Winni, I was wondering if you would mask me as Advocate and Hariko as DA of Internal Affairs? All other DA's will be the same for now. Also will you please mask the following for TWP Military: Drachmaland Malviet RealmWWin Fratellnoir Mediobogdum Siberian District Little Sealand Zogradia Cassardia Ktilqr Westwind I will have a few more in coming days as I get the rest vetted. Will you also unmask anyone else in TWP military? However, if there is anyone that has been a member for a while that should keep the masking please let me know. Thank you much! Badger
  15. Thank you much everyone! I'm going to work for this region. If anyone has any ideas, or thinks I can improve in one way or another please let me know!
  16. I want to thank those of you that voted for me, giving me the opportunity! Those of you that didn't vote for meI hope that I earn your confidence going forward. PD and Vlagh, I truly respect each of you and your work here in TWP and NS as a whole. I hope that you will continue be an active part of the community and perhaps even a part of the government. Thank you!
  17. Nice to meet you! Join in on our witty banter on the RMB or here in our forum. Also if you are interested in foreign relations, we are in need of ambassadors. Or if you are interested in the military the TWPAF is now training. See you around.
  18. Members of the Voice of The West Pacific Union, I implore each of you to vote in our current election for Advocate of the Voice of The West Pacific Union. Please do not abstain. Please vote for one of the three highly qualified candidates. As a new government, we are at a critical juncture. We are coming off of a period of inactivity that created a situation where the Delegate panicked, overreacted, alienated everyone, and then gave up and tried to plunge our beloved region into chaos. However TWP stood strong. We came together, we circled the wagons and fought; furthermore, our friends across NationStates helped us. As a community we bonded into something larger. Now we need each member of the Voice to vote to help decide where we want to go as a community. We need activity from everyone to create an off-site community that is a reflection of our fine region. My fellow candidates have tremendous track records as contributing members in The West Pacific and in NS as a whole. They are Delegates, former Delegates, Guardians, and Senators; important players in our game. Their experience is a tremendous asset to our region. I cannot, will not diminish their records. Nor can I compete with their resumes. Compared to them, my year and a half in the game is a fleeting moment in the timeline of the game. Both of my competitors have the pedigree to be a fine advocate for the Voice of The West Pacific. After reading both of my competitors platforms I have seen much commonality with my view points. We all want a collaboration between the Delegate and the off-site government. We all want to establish the voice through our charter as a clear, transparent body that works with the Delegate as in-game leader of our region. We all want more participation from the members of The West Pacific in the Voice. And we all want to clarify the charter to easy to read and understand living document and to encourage governmental participation amongst our beloved region. So why should I ask you to vote for me rather than two elder statesmen that have contributed much more to our game than I? In my time as a nation in The West Pacific I have been an active member, rarely going a day without posting on the offsite forum or the RMB. I have worked to become a leader (recently selected as Deputy Advocate of Military Affairs). And I am passionate about the security and culture of our region. We all want the same things for the Voice of The West Pacific, but of the three of us, I am the candidate that has been there daily since I discovered TWP. As your Advocate there are several things that I will do to increase activity. First, myself and my Deputy Advocates will be the leaders in activity on both the offsite forum and the RMB. We will personally reach out to new members of TWP who show the propensity to be active to join our offsite forum and government. I will hold my Deputy Advocates accountable for their activity in their area of designation. On the first day as Advocate I will begin a search for Deputy Advocate of Internal Affairs to increase and maintain activity on the forum. However, as Advocate I will work to make it everyone's responsibility to increase participation on the forum. If I am elected I will work with the Delegate to increase the standing of TWP in the NS world. Specifically I will work with the Delegate to expand our diplomacy with like-minded regions and our allies across the game. As Advocate I will not abolish the Deputy Advocate of Foreign Affairs. But I will work to clarify the role to create a working relationship amongst all parties. I want an expansion of diplomacy in game with new regions and our allies. Furthermore, I want us to partake in activities with other regions to strengthen our bonds. I will also work with the Delegate to create a military policy for TWPAF to allow commanders to increase activity, expand troop numbers and further TWP and our allies' agendas. I want to see TWPAF involved in constant activity. Members should be strewn across NS making a name for our great region! Fellow members of The Voice of The West Pacific Union, as a service to our great region I ask you to vote in the Advocate election. I ask you to vote for me to be your Advocate. My competitors are fine players with a wealth of experience and knowledge. We all want to help lead TWP in a similar path. My service to you will be through activity, creativity, and dedication to our region. Please vote for me! Thank you! Badger
