  1. Well in that case, *has Greek fire*
  2. That wasn't originally part of the plan, but if the changes are going to be made, then yes, it would make sense to do that.
  3. I don't know what URA would say (shocking, right?), but I think it would be best to edit the original text in red. ... Ninja'd again.
  4. What Tuna said. If the Delegate were superior to the Advocate, that would imply that the Guardians are more important than the Voice. They aren't. Both are equal and separate. Please don't forget that. And no, I do not approve of the Delegate's ability to dissolve a government that is independent of it. I still don't think the whole dissolution was completely legal, but what's done is done, I guess.
  5. That's actually a good idea. Nice job, Fujai. And no, there isn't a Minister of Legislative RP in there. But you'll have to ask the Delegate to know for sure, my apologies. Now, the main reason why the Voice got disbanded was a lack of activity. As I've mentioned to the Guardians earlier, in order to keep the government working smoothly, I highly recommend being mindful of the amount of ministries the Advocate creates. Because we tend to have less activity than other feeders, we should treat activity like a resource and not spread people too thin. When it comes to ministries, it would be best if those ministries were about key matters and that there were multiple people in a department in order to keep things running even if some people go inactive. I can tell you, it's difficult trying to run a ministry alone, because the work falls completely on you and you're the only one spreading the word about new projects that need the community's support. Edit: Aw man, I've been ninja'd. Typing on a phone is really slow, lol.
  6. Just stop, okay? You're embarrassing me. I'll talk to you about it later. Westwind, I'm really sorry this happened. I don't approve of this kind of behaviour and I'm quite displeased with some of my fellow Guardians' actions recently.
  7. Elegarth, stop it. Being condescending makes people not want to listen to you, and is also rude.
  8. People often associate their ideas with themselves.
  9. I mean, you don't need to have the power to dissolve the government; not endorsing and acknowledging the forum government has the same effect and less of the backlash.
  10. I saw BBD's name as the last poster under this thread, and I thought to myself: “A public apology...BBD... ...LMAO”
  11. Sorry, Ktilqr, if it's dead, it's dead. Hmm, I usually come up with people's nicknames...after all I manage the factbook with nicknames in it...Can I call you Tillie?
  12. Same player, different characters. The characters act like separate people.
  13. I've already been lectured on it before, so I'll just give you the quick version. They are both the same player, but each is its own character that operate independently of each other, and they are almost always IC, meaning there is a partition between the two characters and their interests. It's called duality. I prefer to play OOC, but that's just me.
  14. Citizen/citz (n): a derogatory term for annoying people. “Greater United American Republics is a citz; after all, he is the reason the term exists.”Fish-slapping (v): the act of hitting someone with a large fish to punish the offender. “Sea-kun often uses fish-slapping to get his way.” Tuna-spread (n): a person acting obnoxiously without regard to other people, related to the term Fish. “That's a train, tuna-spread.” Fish (n): an umbrella term relating to anything obnoxious and childish, as it was the nickname of a disliked player here. The adjective forms are fish-like or piscine. “That's a Fish thing to do.” Chihuerwolf/Chiwerehua (n): a dog/human hybrid that has a tendency to bite ankles. “Yy4u is our resident chihuerwolf.” DoomCricket (n): The unofficial symbol of the Delegate, resulting from the portmanteau “crickochet” and evolving as its use grew. Variants include pyrocrickets, cryocrickets, and the flesh-eating variety. Only United RussoAsia, Yy4u, and Hariko can safely handle them. “DoomCrickets have a tendency to chew on things, particularly non-food objects like wood, metal, and fabric.” Roo fur madness (n): megalomania, associated with BBD and pro-marsupial ideology. “End the roo-fur madness, down with the Delegate!” Unibotian (adj): being overly critical of non-democratic systems of government, typically with an inflexibility when it comes to ideology. Morals are used to justify one's beliefs. “A typical Unibotian opinion piece, is it not?” NiteDrone (n): one of Yy's security drones that monitor the region at night; can also be used to swarm people. “*night drones swarm Little Sealand*”
  15. This is the current telegram: Hi United RussoAsia, welcome to The West Pacific's Doom Cricket Dojo and Freeform Government Operation! What's up? Lucky for you, your nation has been created in TWP, one of the Feeders and dare we say the best of them! It's a great place to start out in NationStates, because we have plenty of experience with newbies and are happy to help. The West Pacific, often shortened to TWP, has a very active Regional Message Board where we chat about random things and share interesting information with each other. The RMB is the heart of TWP, but that doesn't mean there isn't more to us than that! We recommend you visit and sign up on our forums at http://www.westpacific.org. There, we have forum games in the ClubHouse subforum, a roleplay subforum, and our own newspaper and those of the foreign media in the TWP News and Media Centre subforum, all there for your convenience. All of these are found in the categories “The West Pacific Welcome Centre” and ”The West Pacific Cultural Centre.” We also have a forum government that is democratic and open to anyone with a nation in TWP. You can sign up by signing in on the Voice of the West Pacific” subforum, and the head-of-government, the Advocate Elegarth, will admit you. We also are looking for people to serve as ambassadors in the Foreign Ministry, headed by the Deputy Advocate Reçueçn, in the armed forces, or write articles for the regional newspaper, Dass Nachrichten. In game, the region is led by our Sensei, United RussoAsia, and Masters, Mediobogdum, Elegarth, Hariko, and Yy4u. They protect our region from people who would like to invade and take over the region. If you want to help keep TWP safe, all you have to do is follow these three easy steps: 1. Join the WA (click the apply to join button at the top) 2. Click on the links of the nations listed above 3. Press that “endorse” button at the bottom of their nation pages And that's it! Once you endorse the Sensei and his Aprentices, not only are you helping protect your region, you also are allowed to receive 70 endorsements from other nations, unlike the 10 you would be allowed if you didn't endorse them. Here's a guide to NationStates if you're a beginner, if that helps. Yeah, it's a little outdated, but it still applies. Oh, and you might want to turn off all those pesky telegrams spamming up your inbox by setting your preferences here. So, have fun, and welcome to NationStates, Comrade! Best Regards, The people of The West Pacific
  16. I don't know if the game can send TGs to newbies without having to input everything manually each time, so I'll ask.
  17. Thank you for your input, I'll revise it and show you a draft according to your suggestions. As for the current TG, no this isn't the most recent one, but I'll go get a copy of the current one from Russo.
