    RL Marriage

the step daughter holding the baby is married to the son in law holding the other baby in the picture. they're on the beach one day when we're down there, the older couple next to them makes objectionable comments about Brandon's race. step daughter Sara looks up to the clouds and says, "Sometimes you have to just punch a bitch in the throat when they do something stupid" That was the end of the offensive comments from the rednecks.

A week from today I'll be getting married in RL. Mrs Eli is quite umm understanding, I think that's the right word, and I likely will be around from time to time, but not much for the next couple of weeks. Galen

  10. I don't believe in feeding trolls and unfortunately the moderation in Nationstates is pro Nazi, they can claim otherwise all they want, the proof is in their pro-Nazi activity in allowing those nations to RP their vile ideology. So I suggest that our Delegate continue to deat their rmb posts and banject their nations as they appear, but not post in a public forum in response to the troll, it only gives them what they crave, attention.

  16. AGP is no marsupialist...
  17. get the players of the region to support you and I'll support you too. do the work of getting political support and I'll support you That is the role of a Guardian, to support the players that make the region work.
  18. which is exactly the point. That said I think any nation from the region that wants to get involved with decision making has to be at the forum, get involved, and then they can end up being the decision maker or part of the decision making process. It takes political skills, you have to do the work of getting the WA nations to support you, getting the guardians to support you etc. it's a lot of work
  19. The Guardian system was implemented by TAO when he was Delegate to protect his Delegacy from an invasion, he had Cave Canem take over for him and expend his influence banjecting invaders then CC stepped down and put TAO back in. The Guardian system has introduced new Delegates to the game and the region that would never make it in a fake Democracy at a forum. Since then having the most influence in the region, I've protected the Delegate, not chosen the Delegate. Believe me I had nothing to do with choosing PD, ED, or Yy4u but all served well and were good delegates in their own way. All of those folks were chosen by the previous Delegate in consultation with the RP government, but neither dictated to the other. Having non game playing forumite role players running the region and dictating to the Delegate is asinine in my opinion and has never worked in NS since its inception in November 2002. It always fails. also IMO the activity boost was because of the takeover of the Delegacy by WEP not in spite of it. just saying.
  20. actually the opposition is opposed to the game rules deciding how the game is played to be accurate...
  21. IH is biased, that's ok it is their right to be. Eli on the other hand disagrees that Guardians cling to any past, the development of the Guardian stucture was a reaction to the abject failure of so called democracy governance in NS GCR. And that failure whilst epically displayed over and over again in The North Pacific, has been on display here in the past, when Delegates past here were dictated to by forum players with no game status. I believe the Delegate in a feeder is supreme to any forum based RP government and that the RP govt. has to recognize that fact
  22. it is unfortunate that Osiris supports the misguided South Pacific dictatorship and is opposed to the supremacy of WA nations determining their own leadership. I close
  23. I don't agree PD, not that unusual , but they elected him because they were too lazy to do any of the work. Or they thought they were rewarding a loyal vassal, lol. Then they don't like what he decides to do with the chair once he gets it is total and complete hypocrisy and lacks credibility under examination IMHO. They could have taken him down at any time because of their influence, it reeks of a scripted action. If they in reality really reacted the way it's gone down it barely believable, their longtime tame player goes rogue for the fun of it? How did he go rogue? They elected him, excuse me? He is the Delegate, he rules. It's their fault for electing him, but don't say he went rogue. That is BS I supported PD as Delegate here even though I thought the NS Republic thing to be an unusual idea, your energy and drive convinced me to see the results. I supported Enlightened Defenders even though just by the virtue of his name I should have opposed him on principle. YY was a good delegate too. All of those examples are players incorporated from outside the original 'clique'. I have banjected YY numerous times for various issues, mainly exceeding the cap, and he ends up Delegate lol. I would support other 'new' blood as Delegate in The West Pacific, but I won't go whining about the result and call them rogue if they go a direction I don't like. We need new players and ideas.
  24. Sadly this is not an unexpected action by the mendacious governing clique of the South Pacific.
  25. don't point out my hypocrisy and the irony of that statement. preserve my illusions
