    The Kingdom of Saranzio (Vinato: Regno di Saranzio; Lavinu: Regnu di Saranzziu; Astintzen: Ònei sho Saranzio), is a small country located on the east coast of central Nur, with an area of 6,654 km².

    I have a limited regard for the past save a few specific subsets of it and would rather see where the indomitable spirit of mankind takes us in the future. Although if I were born in the future my thoughts would probably be the same.

    The question is old enough that it has been commented on in Augustine of Hippo's The City of God (5th century AD)

    "But assuredly He is rightly called omnipotent, though He can neither die nor fall into error. For He is called omnipotent on account of His doing what He wills, not on account of His suffering what He wills not; for if that should befall Him, He would by no means be omnipotent. Wherefore, He cannot do some things for the very reason that He is omnipotent."

    Saranzese Struggle to Remember Foreign Nations

    With the 4th Rugby World Cup in full swing we decided to run a poll asking if citizens knew where each of the participating countries was. To our shock, only half answered yes on more than 60% of the questions.

    To test this more we took to the streets where we asked random passers by where a given country was on a map of Esferos. "This is Andolia right?" says one woman pointing to Polaris after being asked to identify the aforementioned continent. "I'm pretty sure this is Dalimbar?" another man says gesturing towards the whole of Polaris. Most of the people we asked reported surprise after being corrected, and said they had only really ever seen labeled maps of Nur. 

    After the first to matches of the world cup, the number of internet searches for questions like "Where is Varanius?", "Is Giovanniland good at rugby", "Why is Varanius so bad at sports?" and many searches asking if certain countries spoke a Saranzese languages skyrocketed. 

    As Saranzio furthers its participation in international sports the general knowledge our nation is sure to increase, but it doesn't seem that will be anytime soon.

    Why Not? Band Member Hospitalized After Stabbing

    Jack Atkins, lead singer of band Why Not?, has been hospitalized after near fatal stabbing and is in critical condition.

    Atkins and his band had been hired to play in downtown Sheridan bar Tony's where he had been stabbed, after which the assailant was restrained by bar patrons and the police called.

    Reportedly, the Giovanniland vs Saranzio match of the 4th Rugby World Cup was coming to a close on the establishment's television. A patron, 52 year old Rupert Kipling, asked the band to stop playing so he could hear the game. Atkins, who could not hear him, was immediately assaulted by Kipling wielding a knife and stabbed Atkins 4 times before being restrained. 

    "I never thought something like this could happen in my bar", says bar owner Anthony Castiglione, "We're in a good part of town. The worst that has ever happened to me or any of the places around here is a break in at 2 am". Anthony has decided to no longer show competitive sports on the television.

    Sheridan Police Chief Gordon Sanders has stated that Kipling has been jailed for violent crimes before, including armed robbery and spousal abuse. He is currently awaiting trial in Sheridan County Detention Center.

    Celebrations Erupt in Saranzio After Departure of National Rugby Team

    Cheering and fireworks can be heard all throughout Newport City and Enterprise after the Saranzio National Rugby Team departs to the distant nation of Dalimbar to participate in the Rugby World Cup. Central government sanctions celebrations.

    Rugby is a moderately popular sport within the nation, but even more popular is representation on the world stage. Many neighborhoods have organized festivities in order to motivate and inspire the players during the competition, with even some local Ministry Churches gathering the choirs to pray for them.

    As access to television continues to grow in Saranzio, it is the first time that many are witnessing an international sports event. "This is probably the most exciting thing we've had here", says Timothy Gale, a teenager from the small town of Blackwater Lake south of Sheridan "I rarely leave this town, and now I get to see countries I've never even heard before on the TV"

    Saranzio squares off against Giovanniland on the 3/27/1423. We can only hope the spirits of Saranzio's people remain high through every match of this World Cup and bring victory to our brave players.

    A couple sentences about your nation:

    The Kingdom of Saranzio is a tropical island nation situated off the northeastern coast of Nur, home to the Versima, Nuàrdi, and Arvisco peoples. The tropical island nation was founded in 746 AF after the coronation of King Saveri of the Ortolu Dynasty coinciding with the ascension of the Triumphalist faith. Since its foundation, Saranzio has fostered a proud identity and culture in connection with the islands and the sea. Saranzians are a passionate and cordial people, yet equally haughty and entitled, being eager to warmly welcome foreigners into their home to illustrate to them the finer points of their culture.

    Saranzio is a recently industrialized nation with an emerging market economy, with plastics, raw metals, vegetable oils, and seafood being its dominant industries.
