  1. I'm afraid there is no law in this world that extends people's time to vote cuz they had issues to vote, and I mean both REAL and VIRTUAL worlds :/
  2. You remember this: http://www.westpacific.org/forums/index.php?/topic/1293-llamas-and-mexican-foods/?p=25503 You didn't opposed the plan of just making it two days, since this was already dragged way too much then, so I'm simply not accepting your opposition now, my friend, as it seems simple e-lawyering trying to drag a dead horse dead. The election was open for FIVE DAYS, not one more, not one less, we did shortened the campaigning one day.
  3. I think that what Vlagh meant is that the "2. Assembly of all individuals in the in-game region" exists in the form of the RMB; currently, it is not given power. Now well, since the in-forum government holds no power or relationship with the in-game, why would they need to have any form of power that balances the "forum's" powers? They are not part of the forum government, and the in-game is not part of our jurisdiction...
  4. Alright, so... The election results, as you can probably see them for yourself, are: ELEGARTH: 10 (Nox, Recuecn, Eli, Mediobogdum, Yy4u, Elegarth, That Called the Vlagh, Archsium, Westwind, Fortschrin) LLAMAS: 10 (A fish in the sea, cluntobone, simple country, Ike, Sad-States, LLamas, Kraketopia, Lemonpledge, punkdaddy, Fratellnoir) ABSTAIN: 3 (Hariko, John Sebastian, URAP) So we have another tie, which tbh borders the ridiculous... So here are the three options that I'm proposing as current Speaker/Prime Minister (legally elected on April 1st for a 3 months term): 1) We open the election for 24 more hours, and mass message members of the HGA (all of them). I would be doing this later today. It can easily end up in ANOTHER tie. And is MORE wasted time. 2) I am honestly tempted to rescind my resignation, since it has not been made effective, and simply end my term as Prime Minister, in the interests of stability and actual government action: the laws that created the Executive Council did not erode or deleted the previous election, and the act that turn the Speaker into the Prime Minister didn't either, so technically and legally speaking, I could just end my term (April 1st to June 30th) and have things started to roll: Ministers appointed, actual work happening, etc... 3) We could dissolved the HGA and go into a Constitutional Convention to formally and effectively implement Arch's idea of a new comprehensive new constitution... However, I'd like to hear people's opinions on the matter, since, as I've said several times, I'm not here to impose my views but to try to build COMMUNITY. We also have a Minister of Legislative RP whose opinion I'd like to hear. TWP, speak up!
  5. So is Frak and we all remember him too
  6. I did noticed they were sort of 'in' all of a sudden in some aggregators and I could not Realize why. Thanks for giving me the root cause: reddit
  7. And that is commendable! Please feel free to share my and Dark's words to them if they haven't seen them here, and to remember you guys can always find another way to spin this into something enjoyable - like, I dunno, the creation of a fun-oriented AntiBanter League. Everything is possible, I think
  8. URAP: I can see you how this must be hard for players who are not used to hardpolitiks or realpolitiks in the game - or who don't Like them. In TWP you can say almost Anything, as long as you realize you will be held responsible for your words and ideas. The Guardians job is in-game protection of the region. In the forum, they don't hold any specific role unless they do so as everyone else, and their in-forum actions are independent from their guardianship role So, I explain This as a defense to the guardians system - that has not relationship to the political battle that has been occurring lately. On the other hand, while I can understand how the political battle going on may be hard or uncomfortable for people, but is a consequence of that freedom to speak openly that the region enjoys. That with thread hijacking makes the forums become quite a hot place to navigate, but honestly entertaining to some - I count myself in it honestly. My whole point to you would perhaps be to try to ignore the banter if it makes you uncomfortable, and to feel free to get involved in collaborating with the region without getting in the realpolitik, if you may. It can get complicated at times but I asure you is possible. Cheers my friend!
  9. Curiously, one of TWP'S most amazing cultural assets is the old thread hijacking. One needs always expect whatever in any thread. I could open a new thread about how deliciostrawberriesy ice cream is and see it die 27 pages later as a debate on the topics if abortion and the right to life.
  10. I think mostly everyone deserves new chances. Welcome again, C.
  11. Stating facts and demonizing are not the same, I'm afraid you are wrong there Ike. Demonizing - portraying something/someome as wicked and threatening - is what has been the main objective of someone else's constant warnings about the imaginary NPO ghost, or infiltration and what not... TWP is not Lazarus, TWP is possibly one of the safest regions in all aspects thanks to its peculiar and unique - and correct - approach to in-game vs off-site separation. If you don't realize that and believe in the demonizing this other people is/was doing, you may need to go back to TWP101 - general you, not you as in Ike. Don't try the gentleman part please. I've already commented in a previous post things that show how pitty this argument is given the actions of involved parties. However, I'm afraid your other accusations or insinuations are not only wrong but even kind of sad: I haven't had the slightest communication with Delegate Darkesia in the last 2 days, and her reaction - as well as the guardians' reactions - to Llamas post are 100% their own - and honestly quite fair - since he short of insinuated them incapable/useless to protect TWP... I'd been more pissed than they are. Your arguments are, hence, mostly voided. Not all politics are meant to create a change nor all status quos are bad. However, I'm advocating changes, the sort of changea that are both positive and appropriate for the people and the region as a whole. Not trying to advance any political agenda. For all the meaningless accusations of me being a dangerous thing for TWP and NPO ghosts, isn't it curious I'm not the one guy tarting for endorsements or trying to (dumbly) justify a guardianship based on an in-forum position - the ones you know to be meaningless in-game? Things to think about before running to defend the undefendeable, ein?
  12. I don't get it man. I'm willing to cool things down but then I stumble upon you negatively portraying the region you are supposed to be trying to help improve? http://forum.nationstates.net/viewtopic.php?p=24328552#p24328552 I personally don't understand you at this point, fellow. :/
  13. It would be nice, I think, to consider doing that for the most basic and fundamental laws, I'd like to help with it Arch
  14. You are right, my apologies ma'am!
  15. Understood, and thanks
  16. You are funny, very funny. Morality is the differentiation of intentions, decisions, and actions between those that are good or right and thosethat are good or right and those that are bad or wrong. Your funny immature propagandistic comment implies there is something wrong with voting in an open election for oneself. Or that it is a bad thing. While actually, it ia being honest. If I want the job and it is my moral right to vote, why would I vote for someone else? You want lack of morals? You want "wrong"? Wrong is trying - as you have done at least 4 times already - to put yourself above the law for your own selfish benefit. Wrong is to pretend you understand TWP when you continually try to impose your personal agenda by ignoring the proper process. Or accusing people of cheating. All that is wrong, and all those actions are yours, not mine. So please refrain from talking about morality while you have a long dark set of wrongs. Me? I'm simply honest. I believe in what the law says, and in acting within the law and the proper process. You believe in manipulation, as learned from Yao. What is morality in a written environment? All my actions have been performed openly. You can't aay the same. I don't really have more to say to you, your childish behavior and whining become quickly boring honestly. And if ypur have any accusations against me, make sure you bring them up within the current laws and reglamentations this time.
  17. Splitted from election thread
  18. He knows them my friend: he approved and help wrote the law that dictates it. He is just trying - for the 4th time in less than 3 weeks - to put himself over the law. Why, is something I can but wonder
