  1. Ask Medio to send you what I sent him for the TWPAF. That was a good tool and it works. If you send those out twice a month it will be very effective in getting people onto this forum.
  2. I am going to ask the admins to restore the Voice maskings and roles. What I am also going to do is request a meeting with the delegate to review russo's desires for the forum government and how we can stay on the same page. and even if we aren't on the same page clearly communicate. I think russo made the changes with the hopes to spur activity on the off-site. Well, that happened.
  3. I definitely believe that within one month's time we would have been more active in the Voice. Not even a question in my mind about that.
  4. I'm only in with the stipulation I listed above. I'm sticking to my guns on this one.
  5. Wouldn't be a TWP thread without a threadjack. Glad that has not changed. But back to the point of this thread, the apology is accepted, but leadership is now needed. Leadership unfortunately can't come from anyone but the delegate on this because you took the authority away from those who had it. That's not a judgmental statement but a fact. Now you've got to lead us to the next place and if some people want the offsite government and you don't, well you've got to lead those folks to your way of thinking. The delegate seat is weighty.
  6. So long as the position itself exists there's a problem, imo. Vlagh wasn't the problem, the position was/is.
  7. I think we were going to make some progress with the Voice. I am fine taking up my position as advocate provided that the Minister of Legislative RP's authority to dissolve offsite government's is removed. I don't have any interest in participating in a government that can be - pun intended - dissolved so easily. I still think before we get to solutions we need to make sure we've identified the right problem.
  8. This right here is why I would have love URAP to give me a heads up. I would have never, repeat never, gotten TWP's NS embassy restarted had I known this was coming. Utter waste of time and makes me look pretty foolish. I don't like to waste my time. Piling on Vlagh is the misdirection. As I said before, I don't really care enough to try to discern if he has ulterior motives. It takes a lot of brainpower and i don't think he's the source of the problem. The problem that we have is our offsite forum's activity levels are light years below what they are on the in-game site. As the offsite oligarchs - and yes we're the oligarchs - we have constantly sought ways to make the offsite forum more active because we think that the game should have an offsite forum and that it should be active. As I stated months ago, why don't we try to change the whole paradigm and do away with the offsite government dichotomy and do something different. Let's have the government be in-game and have the delegate establish whatever he/she/it wants it to be as delegates change. If we want to use this forum great, and if we only want to use this forum for limited things that's great too. I think our constant reboot of forum governments is akin to a leopard trying to change it's spots and become something it isn't. We are a Karaoke Friday, Chocolate Loving, Marsupial hating, region and we don't need to be like TP, TNP, TEP, or anyone else. We just need to be comfortable enough in our own skin to realize the offsite may never be what the onsite is. But our onsite activity and TWP-ness is pretty da-- good. So I say let's just let go of trying to fit a square peg in a circular hole and build our government at the delegate's direction on the onsite forum. Let's be the leopard and accept, no embrace, our spots.
  9. I think we should - if this is a legit attempt at input - discuss the problems of the Union first before making a proposal. As Westie noted, this doesn't appear to change much.
  10. And this my friends is the crux of the issue. The delegate has no authority as far as I can tell to dissolve the offsite government. But Minister of Legislative RP did, technically, and he may have some backing to do so. I have no desire to participate in any form of government that can be so unilaterally dissolved without so much as a notice. The reason is, why invest in something if someone - per whatever - just wants to pull the rug out. Not cool in my book.
  11. This is not Vlagh's fault. Let's be clear. I accept our delegate's apology and once again in recent memory of TWP I'm really disturbed that I'm excluded from the conversation on how to improve things. Hero of the West simply does not pay what it used to, I guess.
  12. hehe, it happens. No worries at all. I figured it was a masking snafu.
  13. Good luck and fare thee well. When you break up with RL, don't forget about your mistress NationStates. She's always willing to give you a good time.
  14. I have no problem with my masking being changed. What I'd recommend the admin do is leave the Voice area open for those who may wish to discuss what's going on further (archive the rest) and not necessarily follow, pied piper style, the current delegate to the next evolution. I am admin on Winni's other board and I would not have a problem assisting with admin duties here if needed. Best admins are ones who can separate the political from the administration. I have no issue with that.
  15. Conveniently URA keeping it was not (to my knowledge) publicly stated nor were we aware that Vlagh would have the same authority to "dissolve" this form of government as he did our former.
  16. I would state that Pierconium would not have qualms with TWP taking a TP-style government. I'm not in the loop enough to state an opinion on whether or not Pierconium would seek to influence our region to do so in the hopes of developing greater influence in our region. Given the recent AMOM fiasco I'd expect Pierconium to publicly refute any such insinuations - keyword being publicly. Honestly folks, as far as I'm concerned I don't have the desire to really investigate this further unless someone would like to call foul and do something. URAP is correct in that the Voice has been stagnant since day 1. I was making moves that would have made it less stagnant but I can tell you during my time as delegate, sometimes you have to make decisions and not everyone is going to like those decisions. You all know I carry a condemnation for many of the decisions I made and I don't regret a da-- thing. So I understand URAP's desire to get things moving. I am always concerned with other regions influencing us and that is because I am and will always be paranoid. Vlagh and his friend Pierconium are smart people and if there is a less than truthful aspect to what TP is doing in our region, it won't be discovered until it's too late simply because most of our offsite is asleep at the wheel. So we move forward after our delegate and hope that our delegate and the Guardians know what they're doing.
  17. Indeed he is. I like that use of his name.
  18. bold mine - this is a pretty important distinction. Understanding this role is critical. Had I known this to be the case and that Vlagh could when he wanted dissolve any thing we create now or in the future without so much as a comment, it would be likely to influence my past, present, and future participation.
  19. I'm not convinced the Minister of Legislative RP has purview over the Voice. I can see arguments both ways given the latitude Vlagh was given when we had the constitutional convention so it is not completely out of the realm of logic. Having said that the last few days we were picking up traction with the Voice and we would have picked up even more given time. What concerns me most is that our Delegate did not come to me with concerns prior to this action being taken. I commented weeks ago that I was on vacation until last week and that afterwards my time would be freed up. Since then we've begun to see movement in the Voice and we will continue to see more as I know TWPers are interested in forging a future. the timing and the how this occurred have me troubled. not to mention, as I said, i'm not 100 percent convinced the legislative RP role is a role that continues.
  20. Thanks for the answer. I thought Legislative RP went the way of the prior government. Made sense you could do it then, but i wasn't aware your role still existed, but if it does, ok I guess i can see that.....but hmmm...
  21. From what authority are you able to do this? See my comments in the Voice, but it seems like we are an autonomous function from the delegate.
  22. I asked this in the admin requests section but i am not sure if the delegate has the authority to dissolve the Union. Here's the section of the Charter that I think is relevant: Underline: mine. This is an interesting although not completely unexpected turn of events.
  23. Point of Inquiry (and intentionally not Order) - is the delegate able to dissolve the Union?
  24. Thanks, Dark. I've worded things intentionally to elicit feast/famine responses again to get our "juices flowing". I am sure there are better ways to get to the same place. thanks for taking a stab at this.
