Llamas Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 I've given up because I didnt wanna think about after my first try. It's OK. Thinking is for Llamas, not people.
Little Sealand Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 It's OK. Thinking is for Llamas, not people. Good thing we have you to think about problems to solutions, like world hunger, while we're busy roasting you.
Llamas Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Good thing we have you to think about problems to solutions, like world hunger, while we're busy roasting you. Solving world hunger would actually be quite easy. It would only cost every American $100 extra in taxes, more or less, to end world hunger. If you split that up between all the world's first world countries, it's even more amazing how little it would cost. Solving world hunger isn't a problem of there not being enough resources for it; we've got WAY more money than we need to pay for that and we've also got enough food for 14 billion people on Earth. It's a problem of distribution because of people not being utilitarian enough.
Little Sealand Posted February 7, 2015 Posted February 7, 2015 Im with you on solving world hunger. That would cost 30,000,000 dollars, that's a small number compared to our national budget, but if you look at it from a politians pov, that's not a one time payment. There was an estimated 870,000,000 people facing hunger a few years ago, about 30 dollars per person. But most people don't really care is the problem, you ask a politician to approve a 30 million dollar fund to bail out business's, you get an immediate yes, donate 30 million to education, or welfare, you get an immediate full on debate about the wastage of money. Most Americans think we're spending too much money on foreign aid, and many think it's not our job to play world police man or banker. Apathy is hard to come by in America. :\ http://borgenproject.org/foreign-aid/
