  1. Accomplished

Exactly 574 days, or 18months and a couple of days have gone by since the last update on the effects of the rather sudden change in government. Democracy has cchanged, traffic has changed, the economy, public transport, laws and regulations, even general life has all changed. Fauthur is now a vastly different country than it once was, and that shows in all aspects of life, even in all walks of life.

On to the points of change. How have all these changes affected people and the country? Is the transformstion complete? How do thinks work differently? And most importantly, what is now in place to hinder a non-democratic government from going back?

Well, let’s start off slowly, with the points spoken about 574 days ago, and let’s elaborate a bit further on them, even bring out new points, all to comprehend the difference, the crucial change that has taken hold.

The government, as it can now call itself successfully, is deeply established, no more a provisional one that could make even the most reserved person laugh aloud. They brought in policies and changes, making the populace quite content with it. They’ve shown that they care about democracy, even reinstated elections, worked out a whole new process (which can be found in the factbook) and set many policies in place to remain as a stable government, showing promise and seeding relieve among the population. Back then it still had the problem of bureaucracy being far too much to handle, though they’ve made a lot of progress in modernization and evaluating, hiring and optimizing processes. Still, the backlog is still ever so present, showing the ineffectiveness of the prior administration. Estimates say that catching up to the present level of issues, it would take about 6 years of day and night shifts. The mail however has stabilized as it now takes on median just 1 week and 1 day to arrive, which is noteworthy but can be improved.

The general life in Fauthur at this date is best to be described as a pool of opportunities waiting for people, present healthcare and education are a given at this stage. The previously enacted policies by the prior administration are now almost gone, with no real effects to feel anymore. Major cutbacks and liberations in place, there are for certain no more curfews, no more public surveillance, except for security measures in many buildings to reduce crime. Armed patrols are only used on the borders for the present. It is paramount to add, that the happiness in Fauthur, as surveyed by many independent surveyors, shows a 30% increase in contrast to the 16th of october 1423, though in recent events the happiness seems to have waned down to 22 percent, due to the international backlash of some of the governments actions taken on the world stage. Welfare policies remain the same, with marginal improvements, as the backlog of bureaucracy fades and public services are on the rise, as even citizens can, through a tedious and secure process, secure funding for several services in regions and cities where they are not so much present.

Public transport operates now free of charge in larger parts of Fauthur, excluding railway transport, as it can not be financed at this time. The government is moving on a thin line to manage spending and income and has to pay attention not to cut back or change too much in any aspect of Fauthur as it can cause volatile changes to the economy. The debt taken upon the government to stabilize the country after the change is enormous, but being paid off ever so slightly. With the recent events in the Aftokratorian Affair and the Viatic Ocean, the economy is attacked a major amount, leading to a slight decline in just about everything.

The education of Fauthur has been revamped and shows successful implementation of electronics into the system, though exams and tests are still written by pen and paper. The digitalisation of education plan has been almost completed and just about every school been fitted with TVs, brand new computers and other important electronics. This has led to a scientifically proven increase in productivity, but in a slight decline of writing quality.

Getting back to the point of public transport, the railway network was, or still is, majorly outdated and in need of a renewal. Significant funding has gone into the railway transport, but only for cargo being transported, this has the effect of still rejuvenating used tracks and letting the old reserve passenger trains run their course on the network, exempt from environmental regulations. It turned out that the expanding of the network and building new stations and tracks took too much of a strain on the budget, and was a bad decision as the monthly costs turned out too devastating to justify spending more. The administration is now working on a new railway plan, even planning to implement an independent railway infrastructure administration in every state, “starting from scratch” in all major regions. To this day, it remains a major money pit and economical issue that will be present in Fauthur for generations to come. As an addition, tram networks in major cities work fine. The planned reintegration of public transport by train by the end of 1425 was a far too ambitious target and will be moved to 1436 as a temporary and interchangeable date.

Transport by bus has been expanded in 1423,  now shining at the forefront of Nuran competition as it was the largest investment into Transport overall since the government change, leading to up to date busses in all but the most remote Fauthurian places, a voluntary fee of 50 Presence Coins to use the bus and the divide of compartments, allowing for women and children to use the bus services safely. As stated by the government in 1423 the ticket prices were a “fair exchange of services”. Reflecting on that and as a comment from the current government, it is now stating that “The ticket prices, or rather the voluntary fee was instituted to help reduce co2 pollution and incentivize the use of public transportation, as traffic plays a significant role in Fauthur. The infrastructure of public transportation is well-funded, but still gets 1,5 million Presence Token yearly just from voluntary fees, some even varying in amount.” Another point from the previous report was traffic laws and road maintenance. Here, the government changed speed limits, set up speed traps and funneled money into the highway and main city connections, which worked out well in reducing congestion in multiple parts of Fauthur and an improvement of noise and air pollution was reported. The government wanted change on another major issue, the low MPG cars. These are scheduled to be completely abandoned by 1427, though several reconsiderations came up and the date has been revised to the start of 1430, with more incentives plopping up across the industry. As the new production and efficiency standards hit the market, it was not well received and almost crippled the then current automobile industry irreversibly in many parts, though it has been rehabilitated, still heavily reliant on Kalmash car imports and retrofitting for the new guidelines.

The international political stage for Fauthur evolved for far worse than anticipated, with the Aftokratorian Affair already affecting citizens in 1423, sanctions and a more aggressive stance towards Aftokratoria  by a major margin. Hostility, pessimism and overall divide leads the sentiment of the citizens regarding foreign people and other countries. The citizens have proven to be quite xenophobic, especially since the majority of the population went through the era of oppression with the prior administration. The economy thus far is in a slight decline, which is a direct result of sanctions from other countries and the Aftokratorian Affair. A major step in the economy was stabilizing it. At the start of the new administration, the economy was a very volatile and drastic one, changing drastically every hour, using up all of the remaining money of the government for stabilization, leading to an uptake in government debt, which proved to be the much needed barrier to slowly stabilize the economy after such drastic overall changes. Before the sanctions in the Viatic Ocean Affair, a medium amount of debt was repaid as a measure of reducing debt to GDP ratio and reducing interest rates. So far, the stable but slight decline is nonetheless a positive thing, in that the market is largely stable as it is.

It has been an arduous time in Fauthurian history, as the radical changes happened all throughout the country, to ensure a quick and specific change away from the oppressive regime that once plagued its citizens.

Sure, issues still persist and will be major projects to be worked on, though no country can and will be perfect, especially not after such radical changes and so little time.

Give it time and it will prosper. Rush it and it will die off.

With this sentiment, although some and many times hard to go through with, is a rewarding and beautiful process, delicately letting you consider your choices and the choices your country makes.

Thus, this marks the end of the transition to a democracy, although flawed, it is one. And the citizens are proud of that fact, and no one can take that from them.

NACA and MNS - Human Rights Violations regarding Fauthurian practices

In light of recent events, the leader of the department of internal affairs in the ministry of national security, in unison with a number of independent news outlets, paired with the National Anti-Corruption Agency (NACA) published a study comparing several factors of discrimination, crime against ethnic minorities and most importantly, Aftokratorians.

The report has hit the main stage media and is spreading like wildfire. Furthur sources report communities unifying for, aswell as against minorities and Aftokratorians.

The country is in deep divide in that matter and both sides provide contrasting extremes of their views on the matter. The government urges the people to remain calm and denies any claim that the report unveils the truth about treatment of different ethnic minorities.

Strikingly, the report provides a list of violations against humanity and human rights, targeted primarily at Aftokratorians. This includes withholding of services, extortion, threatening, robbery, discrimination involving great bodily harm and 120 other items contained, providing sources.

NACA clarifies on page 643 point 2 the involvement and intricate network of top level politicians, including the leader of the department of Border Command, Kili Hammer, who is said to detain any Aftokratorians wanting to exit or enter Fauthur. The report also hints at Fauthurian involvement in recent oil spills and radioactive waste dumping in the Viatic Ocean.

The Democratic Party is currently fighting back against the publishing and spreading of this report, detaining key journalists in the process.

Further developments are unknown at this time, though a spreading sentiment of compassion, disdain, concern and skepticism, although in small numbers.

Has the situation spiraled out of watchful eyes?

    The Society of Fauthur

    Chapter  10

    1.1 - Education

Fauthur boasts an extensive education sector, with public and private schools clustered about everywhere you can think of. Comprehensive schools exist in a large number of cities, which combine every grade up until graduation with the highest possible educational degree that is not a university or college. The curriculum of all schools up to but not including colleges or universities are mandated by the government and can be influenced state by state.

Universities and Colleges may have their own curriculums for classes, provided they are state and government approved. Yearly, xx% of the nation’s government budget flows into education, with the government striving to keep the population literate. The Educational sector of Fauthur is the most well-structured and invested social sector in Fauthur.

The Educational System in Fauthur is structured into 4 Divisions of education.

The first Division is pre-school, this is where children from the age of 3 go to, to get prepared for elementary school, which starts at the 6th year of life. Here, children mostly have free time, do activities that develop speaking, writing and basic math skills up to the number 10. It is common for pre-schools to have a break at 3pm in the afternoon to have a snack pause, including fresh fruits and vegetables and in the summers, ice cream. The Fauthurian government mandates a free lunch and at least 4 trips to educational facilities, such as museums or just the local forest, in close proximity to the pre-schools, in a year.

The second division is elementary school, where children from the ages 6 to 12 go through a grade each year. Elementary in Fauthur lasts to the 6th grade, with children starting to learn the process of fractions. All elementary schools are mandated to have the following classes:

    • Fauthurian
    • Kalmash
    • Maths
    • General sciences
    • Physical Education
    • Religion or Philosophy
    • Arts

The most prominent class being “learning life”, where children are taught cooking, cleaning, general knowledge for dangerous places, behavior in society and social etiquette. Secondary schools touch on that subject again with more pressing matters. Most elementary schools have deviations, adding classes that aren’t mandated, like programming or basic level carpentry from grade 5 onwards.

The third division is secondary school, which goes from grade 6 to 12, in which students can earn their first graduation diplomas. A drop out after completing the 10th grade is possible, with the lowest of all graduation diplomas, qualifying for entry level jobs and implementing a limit on how high you can get in a career.

The mandated classes still apply, although in 8th grade, students can choose whether they want to learn (a prominent language tbd) or hone their existent language skills in a “mastery class” of Kalmash or Fauthurian.

The “learning life” class now includes how to file taxes, do paperwork, proficiently fix car problems, as well as general knowledge for everyday problems and money management.

From grade 10 to 12, students get to choose 2 “mastery class” classes from any class currently available in school. The “mastery class” from grade 8 needs to be exchanged, though it is possible to continue to take that “mastery class” as a 3rd “mastery class”

Completing grade 11, students get the medium graduation diploma, qualifying students for colleges and letting students advance in their career with the addition of taking educational courses to advance.

Completing grade 12, students gain the highest normal educational graduation diploma, letting them go to college, university and letting them advance in their careers indefinitely, as long as a higher education is not needed. Getting this graduation diploma is not an easy feat, as 6% of all students fail this graduation level and therefore is connected with a good starting prestige in society.

Fauthur also has public and private universities and colleges, specializing in a plethora of topics and job directions, like applied sciences, education, health, research, which includes things like molecular biology, biology itself, bacterial research and everything connected with that.

The most prestigious universities in Fauthur include:

    • 1. The University of West Fauthur - which includes most of the specializations you can find in Fauthur. It is a highly sought after university, with elite criteria for admission. Thus, it is always difficult to find a free spot here
    • 2. The Gelcc university of applied sciences - Situated in Gelcc, this university has the most comprehensible and extensive applied science study sector in Fauthur, and claims to be the most student friendly in all of Nur, as the student accommodations include a free 2 room apartment, free cafeteria lunch and dinner, and half the cost of a normal university. This is an exceptional university, fully financed by the government, and basically a small city itself with all services paid for, like going to the barber or going grocery shopping.
    • 3. The Hefenium University of technology, research and computer sciences - bustling with activity, the government is trying to keep the programming standards at an all time high, while supplying only the most up to date computer systems Fauthur has to offer. It is also the location of Fauthurs main technological research division

All in all, Fauthur and its citizen are really rich with educational possibilities and reachable schools, as experts say that the mean time needed to travel to a school is counted at 12 and a half minute.

    1.2 - Health

Fauthur maintains a universal healthcare system, which is largely financed by the national health insurance and is proud to be covering 100% of its population with the system. The national health insurance is free for children, students, pensioners, people with below average income, handicapped people, government employees.

Fauthur spends xx% of its GDP on healthcare.

The average lifespan is 75.3 years, with the leading mortality rate being respiratory infections, which 48% of the populace contract multiple times throughout their lives. The cause of this can be dated back to the rampant and unregulated industrial pollution, as well as lax climate regulations. Following respiratory infections, cancer is the second highest cause of mortality at 27%, followed by heart disease with ~10%.

There are many disparities between northern and southern Fauthur, due to the vast industrialized regions in southern Fauthur.

New since 5 years ago, the Fauthurian government has put a 50% sales tax on tobacco, to discourage people, especially the younger generation from smoking, as to regulate the high respiratory infection rate. It has been proven, that cigarettes facilitate the chance of getting a respiratory infection and reduce the strength of the immune system.

The current government promotes the practice of keeping high tobacco tax and reducing tobacco sales, but is abstaining from banning tobacco, as it remains a large money making product, with 64% of the population actively smoking.

Fauthur has around 2000 actively operated hospitals, with more being planned. There still is a widespread gap in some places, where reaching a hospital by car would take more than 45 minutes.

  4.

    The Media of Fauthur

    Chapter  9

The invention of media, such as the first printed books and newspapers dates back to the year 850, when the printing press’ invention reached Fauthur. Starting off from that, and the rapid spread of delivery per carriage and even coast to coast mail, the news of the news spread and a year later, the whole nation was able to digest newspapers and wonkily mass printed books 2 days after they first came into the world. It was also 851 where Fauthur’s oldest newspaper company came into life, named “The New West”, stretching on till modern day. After that, media in Fauthur remained at that status for centuries, with the rumors of stuff happening slowly waining due to the prominence of newspapers. News outlets, media companies fluctuating, as many couldn’t hold out during the economic crises and the great mass hysteria period of 1154, as only the local state news outlets got the backing from the state to continue running, even in the most extreme of times.

Thus, shortly before the turn of the 13th century, “The New West” was promoted by the then still monarchic government, to the first national Fauthurian news outlet, due to its perseverance, even when government backing was short and the devotion of the journalists to work full days for free and a bread as a wage.

1330, the first FM, non military broadcast swept from the south of Fauthur to the capital, West Fauthur and gave way to the distribution of FM radios to the public 2 years later, after refining the signal for clarity. 1335, the first transmissions from other continents (tbd, nation in search, dm me on discord for collaboration) reach the Fauthurian public, to be worked into the world broadcasting network. Radios quickly became a part of life, present everywhere. In parks, homes, at work, at the dentist, in aeroplanes and even soon in driving rustbuckets they call cars. It was revolutionary for news and entertainment, as the first music producers and publishing companies rose from the ground to retake old songs and put them into the radio for the pleasure of the people. Until the advancement of the television in Fauthur, there were 120 radio stations available for the public, blasting music, news and a plethora of other categories, such as story reading and monotone sounds 24/7.

That number just increased as the television became ever more present in 1360, adding cable television and even color in 1367.

Fauthur originally started out with “The Big Five”, these are the still present first five news broadcasting channels, along with the fifth being later converted to a normal channel, broadcasting TV-Series, trash TV and the normal morning, midday and evening news rounds. Building a good Television broadcasting Network in Fauthur, cost the government a fortune all for modernisation and the entertainment of the people, also seeing that Fauthur was and still is quite lacking behind on the Esferosian stage. Early 1400, the first satellite was launched into space for satellite television in Fauthur, more to follow up Over the years, with the incoporation of online TV channels, streaming services and generally the internet, which is now regarded as the main entertainment supplier, with some Fauthurian companies specializing solely in streaming services, totally lacking the functionality, and effectively replacing traditional TV channels.

At present, there are 524 Fauthurian TV Channels for all needs, public private and streaming channels, as well as 157 Radio broadcasting stations and 400-700 news outlets, broadcasting and media companies and newspapers, be it locally, stately, nationally or internationally.

The New West. Fauthur’s Main News Outlet and State operated Media!

  5.

    The Sports of Fauthur

    Chapter  8

Sports in Fauthur are widely regarded as a fun pastime, with vast differences between regions.

Sports, that Fauthur regards as national sports, are racing sports. These include Rallye, Rallye-cross, Formula Fauthur and rarely but on the rise: “everyday races”. These are racing including the everyday common car, modified for racing on streets and sometimes on the countryside. It is popular, because the “everyday races” racing series uses cars mostly used by the everyday Fauthurian, and even some retro cars.

Fauthur has multiple Formula Fauthur teams, one of which, “Epsilon Fira Racing”, had made it to the Esferos F1 cup years ago and is still celebrated by the feat of reaching such a high ranking racing league.

Additionally, Fauthur hosts drag races instead of horse races, but with modified, street legal cars.

The only difference with that lies in the east, where sports like football, badminton and ice-hockey are part of everyday life and lived by many.

At last, Fauthur has a very own sport originating from West Fauthur. It comes from a small village on the southern west coast, hosting a quadathon annualy, which was eventually picked up by native tourists and continued over generations. A Quadathon is like a triathlon, just different. It consists of 4 stages, which were originally: swimming, cycling, chopping a tree and lastly a 200 meter sprint. Winner is, who at the end has the least amount of time in total for finishing every stage. In modern day though, the swimming has been replaced by jet skis and the cycling stage has been replaced by Horsepower limited microcars. 1425 hosts the 265th Quadathon.

    WIP?

  6. Story 4

    5th October 1424,

    It was a quiet night.

Stars shone bright at the road in front of the column of cars driving through the quite battered foundations and sharp and jagged glass of one of the decommissioned military checkpoints that were instituted before liberation day.

One might think it was just some ordinary commuters, making their way to and fro from work, to work or whatever was on their minds. After all, joyrides aren’t forbidden where they are, atleast in the Apoldäer district. On closer look, one could see they were driving close behind each other, license plates missing, rear lights broken, dimmed headlights.

The only thing more peculiar than the rest of oddities intermingling with the whole picture, are the dimmed windows on each car. Almost black like the 4 floor of the next bunker over with no electricity. You could see nothing, especially not in the night, through the windows of these cars.

A loud bang breaks through the ever grinding tyre noises echoing through the checkpoint. The line of cars abprubtly halts, the cars almost slamming into each other. All engines and lights diminish at once.

Quietness. You could hear a pin drop on the sand from 10 meters distance. One minute passes. Then two.

    Three…. Four…

On the fifth minute, exactly on the second, like timed, a black silhouette, resembling a tall, slim figure, dressed in all black with a fedora, emerges out of the repurposed Kalmachian Hendoff 3 car model, imported a limited amount. Once a beautiful carefully engineered car, now resembling a densely armored SUV with black metallic boxes on the sides of each door.

Swiftly moving around the front of the car to the right side, he ducks down in a gentle way, inspecting something. Not the tyre, nor the chassis, something else. Something, that’s requiring the mans attention to the fullest.

The once clear sky was now showing thinly cut waves of light grey clouds marching on the sky, west to east, the moon still shining through the blanket.

A dim light flickered to life through the destroyed windows of one of the buildings, dying off 5 seconds later in a panic. Perhaps the wire was too old, rusted or something else.

The man at the car, presumably done with his inspection, now jumped up in a hurry, bolting towards the house where the light came from. Whsipering could be heard getting louder, then auieter for a couple,e of minutes, rigorous suspense filling the air around the cars, no, the whole checkpoint.

Suddenly, all quiet again, wind intensifying just right, that a flag would be waving for 3 seconds an intervall.

A minute passes with suspense, darkening the checkpoint.

One after the other, as if nothing happened, the cars roared to life, scattering through the whole checkpoint, driving off road, behind buildings, slowing down at each and every window and door, no matter how destroyed and ruined the place was. Engine sounds heard from everywhere, every point at once and gone again in a blink of an eye. The cars nowhere to be found, just tyre tracks remaining where the cars once were, bound to be covered by the incoming wind in a couple of hours.

The only thing that can be found, is a lifeless but still warm corpse. No injuries or even a struggle detectable. A light grey shirt, with black pants and also black shoes, barely fitting, were laid folded next to it. On top of the clothes stack, a license.

The license is slightly worn out, used to put into keycard holders, door openers, a long time ago.

    It reads, what is legible

    “Adr(non legible) G(non legible)

Administrative division 3, ministry of in(non legible)nal affairs

    Rank 7

    Security (non legible)”

Now waiting for someone to discover it. Be it in an hour, in a day or a week..

    Or simply, never.

    Story 5

Krüptiyd - A Fauthurian piece of folklore

Exercise caution when going to sleep.

Keep all your doors locked, all your windows as well,

The Krüptiyd might have its place,

    Already found,

    Well beneath your bed,

    In your walls,

    In your basement,

    Or anything in between.

    Black as night,

    Jagged sharp teeth,

    Tall as a tree and,

    Spikes on it’s back,

    Protruding its skin,

    Tearing your flesh.

    Stalking from the trees,

    The bushes alike,

    Staring emotionless,

    Well on sight,

    Stays in the shadows,

    Following your guise,

    So it will know,

    Who needs to go.

    In the dead of night,

    At 2:34 at morn’,

    It will come,

    Don’t knock,

    Don’t make a sound,

    For it will get you,

    When you’re not around,

    In your sleep,

    Tightly in your bed.

    Wrap yer’ arms around,

    Muffle your screams,

    Helpess screamin’,

    Angers it.

    Close your windows,

    Close your blinds,

    Lock your doors,

    And look behind,

    ‘Fore you go to sleep,

    Just be sound,

    No one’s around,

So the Krüptyid does nought enter your keep.

  7. March 5th, 1425-West West Fauthur Halls

It has now been 6 days since the Fauthurian edict to boost the economy was given.

Sanctions from Zoran, Nouveauterra and Nalibia have already taken effect and are showing signs of weakening the Fauthurian economy slightly, as the sudden sanctions imposed, even by a few nations for now, are reaching far into already established processes of the country.

Therefore, in a reactionary event, the government of Fauthur, mainly the congress, has urged Hafth to take a statement for the broader Esferos, and to take steps of preserving the economy. One bill is passed after the next almost in unison, as social reforms and environmental protection suffer in the light of stabilising the economy from coming sanctions. Preventive actions being taken.

Now, on the midday of the 5th of the 3rd month of 1425, Hafth has once again spoken before the masses, before the greater eyes of Esferos, before leaders on their televisions and intelligence agencies, before Zoran spy satellites and all dissidents that care to watch and listen.

This hereby serves as an official statement from Kerglom Hafth, Head of Government, United Republics of Fauthur, democracy, national unity and unwavering loyalty.” Said his secretary and personal adivsor, Jenus Klett, as he stepped away from the microphone into the shadows of the much imposing flag banners hanging from the ceiling of the hall, making way for Hafth himself.

Hello citizens of Fauthur. With grave concern and misunderstanding, I hereby speak to you to present facts, rather than assumptions. Our situation on the economic front is turning bad due to unprecedented sanctions and embargoes from the countries of Zoran, Nouveauterra and Nalibia and more to follow. I tell you people, the democratic party stands for democracy, for a unified and honest Fauthur,” a brief pause before he continues to speak. “For a better world, future and diplomacy. These countries imposing sanctions on us, barring us from their economies, seizing our assets, is just aggression. Aggression without a base. They say we dump stuff into the ocean, only because the edict allows it. I assure you, we, as the people and government of Fauthur, have nought to do with such faceless and corporate controlled entities. We have done nothing wrong, we have abstained from doing anything to the oceans, to our precious waters, to the nature itself. The edict only says so for completeness, everything is stored in secure facilities on Fauthurian ground.

And we for sure know, it’s the Aftokratorians, the Nalibians, the Nouveauterrans and the Zoranian people that accuse us of such vile acts, just to cripple our unity, our democracy and our economy. It is laughable that they have reports of Aftokratorian flagged vessels originating from our ports. We would never allow such vessels to enter our ports. We as the people, and I urge all of you, citizens of foreign lands, Fauthurian people, governments and other entities to see through their lies. To see, what they do to our country, to stand defiant against their warmongering practices and condemn and denounce their actions.

For we have done nothing wrong. We have not officially, nor unofficially done anything to the pristine Esferosian water reserves, for we drink, for we fish, for we accumulate our precious resources from them.

Thus, we won’t let them ruin our country. I say, let those sanctions come, let them defile our ways and truths, for we know, we are not doing anything wrong, we stand in defiance.

Remember, for democracy, unity, and future!”

As Hafth steps away, the crowd, captivated by his speech, is roaring, cheering and clapping.

At the same time in the minister conference room, a resolution is drafted, a very own resolution, condemning the actions of embargoing nations on a faceless basis, lying to the public, in the name of democracy, closed to the public eyes and any technology, as it is written with pen and paper, sealed in a letter with a wax stamp and stowed away for future use.

  8. Edict 1

    27th February 1425

    6:04 pm

“Are you completely sure this will be a good idea sir? I mean, the environmental consequences would be astronomical. There- There’s just no way we can-“

“Yeeees I am sure. I’ve gone it through thousands of times with the Minister of National Security. There is no threats to be posed by the edict, only economical success and the betterment of our country.”

“Sir, I must really insist. Either you go through it with the Ministry of EP and Greenery or there will be unforseen consequences. This is way too much. You can’t just throw everything into our rivers!”

“Now now, calm down. I know what I am doing, besides what cinsequences can emerge from something like that? Our rivers are pristine I tell you…”

A small suspense hang in the air around the office of Kerglom Hafth, Fauthurian Head of Government.

The Walls beige, adorned with medals and placards of Mottos and Quotes of the Democratic Party.

“Okay, you know what. I’ll go through with that damn ministry. Although, I don’t expect much.”

Hail the lords, if there are any, thought Jenus Klett, personal advisor of Hafth.

Visible relief showing in his face.

Afterall, he has to be present day in and out during Hafth’s idiotic decisions and also helped avoid the one or other catastrophy.

“Wait, I have a better idea, i’ll go consult with them later. What if we just dump all that stuff in the oceans? After all, it won’t do us much of a favor if it remains here in the country.”

“I have to agree, anything better than here. Although please, i beg you, don’t involve any country or regions other than ourself if you have to do your statement. We can’t afford more international attention after that debacle with Aftokratoria lately.”

“Don’t worry, it will all be handled excellently”

A smug smile cut through his face.

The meeting ended, both Hafth and Klett made their way towards the evening break, given to all government personnel from 6:30pm to 7pm.

It was rather cold outside, maybe from the evening sun setting in, clouds standing before the uv rays of it.

Shortly before the end of the break, an intermittent humming, shortly followed by a loud screech lit up the building. It was the PA system, always making you want to rip your ears off whenever it sounded.

“All personnel with security clearance 8 and higher to room 282-b this instant”

Security clearances are simple, the higher of a job you possess in the government, the higher your security clearance is. Security clearance 8 here refers to all present ministers and above.

A quiet commotion, mumbling, whispering and even muffled laughter can be heard in the room once the whole workforce has materialized more or less quicky.

“Ok gentlemen, as you may have heard, a big thing is in the works, the biggest one yet and I want to make clear with you all on this fine evening.”

Present were the ministress of National Security, the minister of Infrastructure, the minister of EP and Greenery, the minister of Economy, Hafth, his advisor, and lastly , the minister of national and international shipping.

An amalgamation of people that were to be notified about the edict, prior to it being announced. Conveniently, they all were assigned overtime a day prior, so any unnecessary people weren’t present.

“It has come to my attention, that the economy is in dire need of an upgrade, an advancement of sorts. The ongoing reformation in the garbage sector, or whatever it’s called is stifling the opportunities to expand. We don’t know where to with the stuff we don’t need, and we can’t sell it either.”

Bored faces were showing of the poeple there, already being home if it weren’t for the forced overtime. Glances being exchanged in between them.

“So” Hafth continued, “it is necessary to take that stuff, and put it somewhere else, do you agree gentlemen?”

    Most ministers nod.

“How are you going to get rid of it then, we can’t just dump it into our neighboring states just like that”, the minister of EP and Greenery came to word, almost bombing Hafth’s words out of the room. Quite ecstatic.

“We talked about this, Hefning” Hafth said, in a tone of slight hate. He couldn’t stand that ministry and everything in and surrounding it. It is a thorn in his eyes, but sadly necessary for the democracy Fauthur wants to be, and he can’t change it as much as he wanted to. Yes, he’s democratic, wants the “best for the people” and all that stuff. Though, you could almost see nothing about the environmenvon the parties website or pledges. Most of all, Hafth hated Hefning, purely due to the name. He vaguely remembered someone with that name denouncing every act of his in the government, though, now six feet under due to old age.

“We’re going to dump it where the sun don’t shine, kilometers under the sea. Swimming with the fishes if you will.”

The commotion in the room gets louder, one gasp was audible for a second.

“This is appalling, quite frankly. Ever thought about the animals living in the oceans? Ever thought about the environmental implications of this Endeavour, ever thought-“ Hefning was cut off, Hafth didn’t want to hear that piercing voice. Though, happy the Minister of Infrastructure cut him off.

“This is for the best of our nation, the beet for the economy and a great relief for the “garbage sector” and the building capacity for the economy.”

The minister of Economy nodded along, a slight smile. He wasn’t a man to talk much and noted everything down. One could muster he writes down almost too much for anyone to legibly read on one page, still he was concentrated and could read his notes. The minister of Infrastructure was quite the role model for the Ministry if Economy he thought. Maybe the should switch roles.. nonetheless, he’s taken a liking to Klaus Iop, minister of Infrastructure.

“Right, exactly that” Hafth supports Iop.

“Might I add, where do you want to take the capacity to sink all that stuff in the sea, it needs to be transported. I doubt we have enough ships ready for that- that hellish plan.” Hefning was mad as a bull, though he tries his best not to show it.  It is unavoidable when talking that he gets very euphoric if a subject touches him. “Also, you know you can’t just pollute the oceans. The edict must be made public afterall. Are you not worried about the heavy international backlash this will cause?”

The minister of national and international shipping, Hesur Fest, cuts in before Hafth can answer, much less to the delight of Hefning. “It has all been dealt with. We still got some obsolete freighters and ships from bygone times. Just a little cleaning, some adjustments and done are the garbage freighters. You know what, I love the sound of that.” Fest loses himself in daydreaming about ships. Ships and shipping and all that is naval always amazed him as a kid, he wanted to make that dream real, thus he’s now sitting here as one of the most important people of the country, with a pay that could drown someone in minutes if materialised. “A whole flotilla of garbage ships… great.. you kno-“

“And as for your other statement, Hefning. I have already been thinking about that, and we’ll just fly some aftokratorian flags, or flags from other places we don’t like, modify transponders or just completely cut out their comms equipment, no one will suspect it was us and all we can say is that these weren’t our ships. I know, the edict will be made public. But if we don’t officially do it, we never did it at all. We can just say that we dumped it in a landfill on a remote place for recycling and other purposes. Genius.” Hafth began to smile, as he was confident it would work, no matter Hefning being present. Hafth knew he could do nothing about it.

As the clock struck 1 am, all ministers were dismissed, having had a glass of wine each… or multiple, one could not know. But one thing is sure, it wasn’t in the presence of Minister of Environmental Protection and Greenery, Hefning.

As soon as the ministers were done talking, Hesur Fest, minister of national and international shipping sent forth the signal to repurpose a whole flotilla of garbage ships. It was 15 ships numbered. All rigged up with signal jammers and transponders thrown away. Most of them flying under Aftokratorian flags, some none and one ship flying under a still secretive flag, which will probably reveal itself later.

One after the other, being packed with radioactive waste, bio wastes, scrap and other metals, heavy metals, chemicals and whatnot to make space for economic progress, they set sail in groups of 3 to the middle of the Viatic sea and in front of the Aftokratorian water boundary.

“It is quite nice that no one governs international waters, it’s all free game” Hafth leans back in his chair, relaxing in the quietness of his office. No sound to be heard. Tranquility.

    Fauthur - 1st March 1425
    News report

Hafth to pollute the world seas?

In a turn of recent events, Kerglom Hafth, Head of Government has enacted an emergency edict to boost the economy.

The edict allows for unregulated industrial waste dumping into landfills and rivers, aswell as oceans not inside our naval borders, this allows for a safe disposal of industrial waste originating from the only nuclear power plant in Fauthur, which had to previously store all their waste on site in a contained zone, eroding the ground and water in the immediate vicinity.

The edict also allows for any industrial waste, that means textiles, colors, acids and non usable materials to be safely and eagerly disposed of, offshore.

The primary locations for safe waste disposal is in the vicinity of Aftokratorian land, aswell as the middle of the Viatic Ocean.

Hafth himself said in a statement: […] Nonetheless, the disposal of such waste won’t make any difference in the already polluted oceans in Esferos. Courtesy of the power hungry industries of Doll Guldur and Aura, aswell as wanted pollution from Aftokratoria. […] We will not have to worry about waste for a long time, the edict remains active until stated otherwise. […] This will bring much needed revitalisation and freedom for expansion in Fauthur, as the reformation of garbage disposal service on a communal and stately level still remains in the works. It also allows us to empty our existing landfills, without having to burn that stuff. But for now, we will not just simply dump it in the ocean, it will be brought to a single landfill for alternative use. We will not be dumping anything into the oceans.[…] Glory to Fauthur! A good democracy needs a good industrial base.

Wether this will have unforseen consequences we will see, as the first small groups of environmental protestors collect themselves in several cities. This is the first emergency edict Hafth has issued since the election. Fauthurian law states, that the Head of Government holds the power of up to 3 emergency edicts to be used during the period they are elected. Emergency edicts only underlay direct command from the Head of Government, and the congress doesn’t get to have a say about it.

Mainly, emergency edicts are reserved for utmost emergency situations, during times of crisis and national emergency. It is bery unusual to be used in this situation, especially now that the Ministry of National Security regards Fauthur as stable as ever.

Also interesting is the addition of two whole continents in his statement. Wether that was meant serious, or just as an underlining fake fact remains to be seen. The ministress of National Security, f, denounces the involvement of any continents or other countries and regions except aftokratoria in Hafth’s statement.

As of now, a plethora of convoys consisting of large freighters make their ways towards the equatorial line of the Viatic ocean and the north of Aukera as part of the edict.

The Ministry of Industry, Infrastructure and Public Transport responded with the publications of large industrial zones in the west of Fauthur, adding to the existing industries of car manufacturing, furniture textiles and packaged and conserved foods, also planned is the expansion of the Klemming-Werks, which are located in Crast. This is a large industrial zone responsible for manufacturing spare parts, tools, mechanical machinery and every imaginable small part and device.

  12. ATTENTION

This, in no way should be discriminatory against any people of Esferos.

This serves as a depository for happenings in the Country of Fauthur and every action taken by certain people should be seen as an individual taking the action, not representative of the country itself. The stories are already incorporated into the roleplay and are not used for new publishings. Imagine that they happen during important posts.

The first few stories involve Fauthurian and Aftokratorian people not (really) living in harmony and are overall sad. Viewer discretion is advised, as the texts (mainly the first one) deal with a small bit of violence and or other things that may seem triggering for readers, not majorly, but a few things sprinkled in.

This also serves as a disclaimer for future stories to be published

I hereby will take appropriate action as soon as I can when messaged about errors or content if anyone expresses a problem with the stories.
I am currently in a creative writing phase and wish to bring my thoughts on stories on (web) paper and see where they go, after all I feel them to be a great addition to imagine some life in Fauthur.

Dates and disclaimers are subject to change to fit them in with other happenings.

With that said, let’s begin, have fun reading.

Be sure to give me a review of my stuff if you want to!

Involves: violence, condescending language and slight swearing

    Story 1

    6th of june 1424.

As she arrived at the Eckford-College for Applied Sciences, the banners were already on every wall.

“Vote now for you local representative”

    “Vote for Fauthur”

She wanted to pull down the banners right then and there but it was easy to contain oneself. Especially with armed guards at the majority of entrances into rooms.

The sight of the navy blue combined with black-ish armor.. just something impressive about it.

She quickly lost herself in her thoughts again.

After all her head was all over the place today. She couldn’t concentrate.

Well, maybe the reason was the mix of painkillers and lack of sleep the last few days.

Her entire body still hurts from yesterday.

Standing there, immersed in her world of thoughts. A pretty happy place amidst a dull, concrete built hall with shabby squared windows all around. A mix of concrete-steel floor plates lining the halls.

She was suddenly interrupted by a voice that immediately sends shivers down her spine.

    > “Hey!”, echoed from one of the heavily armored men standing around.

    >“Get a move on.” He formed a fist with his right hand and swung it in the air to mock the 22 year old.

<“Sorry..”, she said, surprised and with a shaky voice, quickly coming back to her senses.

    >“Damn Aftokratorians. Always loitering.” He said to himself, his head shaking left to right and back left.

She continued walking, searching the one specific room mentioned on her note.

It read Just the room number and a time. 12:45.

As she went through the rather large cafeteria in her college, she couldn’t help but feel saddened.

“It gets worse by the day. More.. aggressive. Why? What have we done?”, she thought.

“We’re just citizens from another country. We’re just trying to live here. Work here. Study and just live life.”

The cafeteria was full of people at this time. Still 15 minutes for the lunch break. It was like the mood was washed away, leaving a sour, but quiet aftertaste in the air. Everyone was eating their lunch, not talking to anyone. It was like looking at mindless slaves. Stoic faces.

She advanced through the cafeteria, leaving it and entering the corridor that would lead to the room address. It was classroom C308. Closed off 3 months ago due to “difficulties concerning the maintenance and repair of the lights and windows.”

    “Yeah, right.” She thought.

Lots of gossip goes around the college. Lots and lots about this room. Before it was closed off, some reported they heard screams, others saw they saw blood. The college director would’ve loved if that room would’ve never existed in the first place.

She was now standing in front of the door. She pulled out her Kalmachian manufactured F22 and looked at the time.

It was 12.47. A bit too late. An unspoken cardinal sin in Fauthur spanning generations back to the origins of the Gregorians in Northwest Fauthur.

All of a sudden, the door swung open and she was pulled into the room. It was dim. The air felt so dry that even a heavy thunderstorm couldn’t properly restore humidity. Cracked floor boards along with old, sun-yellowed paper scattered the ground. Broken windows with sharp jagged edges already seen their fair share of action.

She looked around the room, not acknowledging the person that pulled her in. An ominous, boarded off side room peaked her immediate interest. Ceiling tiles hanging on by threads of some sort of cable and old, dusty lime green walls completed the room, creating and echoing impression.

    > “Done yet?”, a deep voice asked in a rather strict tone

She turned around, the voice feeling all too familiar, yet somehow strange.

A friendly, scarred face filled her vision. Brown-greyish 3 day beard, brown eyes and short hazelnut hair.

The 3 big scars across his mouth and right side of his face almost felt natural.

< “Yes, sorry, I just never was in this room. And, you know, after all the gossip around these parts…”

    > “Yeah, never gets old does it?”

    She hesitates for a moment.

< “So, why are we here?”, asking, already dismissing the clearly rhetorical question.

    > “Well, first of all im glad you made it. This is the only room in what feels like the whole city that’s not equipped with some sort of microphone or cctv. You know the seriousness of our situation. I’ve heard rumors that they plan to block off campus, effectively locking us in. All access to the outside world will be controlled by the riot police. I’ve also intercepted a letter addressed to the college director. He’s in contact with the foreign affairs government branch to coordinate an effort with other schools in the area to make Aftokratorian lives miserable.”

< “…what should we do about it?”, she mutters. Almost in a depressed tone.

    > “Talk with people. Organize resistance. Put up leaflets anonymously.. you know, all the stuffs.”

< “But.. wouldn’t that make them even more mad? You know, I’m scared they are just going to go around and kill us if we do that!”

    > “That…is a possibility yes.. but we can hope that awareness about our situation spreads. They are practically committing war crimes without a war on us by now.”

Not really knowing what to say, she slowly nods her head.

< “Is..is that everything? Do you really think this is going to solve our problems?”

    > “In the long term yes, this is clearly not all but I need you to help me get this thing star-“, his eyes widened and he put his index finger on his lips.

In a whispering voice, he urges “Do not, under any circumstances move, don’t even talk.”

There was clearly a person behind the door. Heavy footsteps echo through the corridor outside of the room. A quick look at the watch reveals that it’s already 13:05.

A sudden thump is heard on the grey, slightly decayed door.

Both of their hearts sank as they expected the worst.

4 minutes passed in silence. Uneasy, burning silence.

Then there was another thump on the door, shaking it in the process.

Heavy footsteps filled the corridor behind the door once again, now getting more faint with each step.

It took one more minute for them to regain their composure.

< “Do you think it was a guard?”

    > “I’m not sure.. sounded like it..maybe they just had a smoke while leaning on the door..”

    > “But why the second thump?”

    < “No idea.”

    > “Well, you know what to do. I got to leave, still got a meeting with the librarian. Take care and don’t let yourself get bullied by those guards again on the exit.”

< “..Sure..”, her eyes sparkle, annoyed.

They both get ready to leave in silence.

The door opens with a quiet squeak and while halfway through the door, a beep is heard in the room. A beep that normally signalises the presence of a cctv camera saving footage. The model FCCTV-25 from the Fauthurian-Albrechts institute for security and infotainment is known for this simple feature that, apparently, the technician forgot to turn off.

They started to bolt out of the room, running back towards the entrance. Once they started to see the guards, they split up and continued to walk in a calm manner, hoping no one caught them discussing on what the director called “heresy”.

Sitting down for a moment, catching her breath, she notices that she is in front of the same guard as earlier, who is now approaching in a rapid manner.

    > “You!”

Fear in her eyes, she looks at the guard. Heavy, navy blue colored plate shoulder guards reflecting the sun in her eyes. The towering statue of the man, whose identification is ST-043 on the uniform, let’s an uneasy aura fill the immediate vicinity of the man.

< “Y-yes?” She stutters, awaiting everything to come crashing down on her.

    > “Why are you running around here?”. The demanding tone of the man increases her heart rate once again.

    < “Well, I-I was just…I uhm..”

    > “What were you running from?”, his expression forms into a bloodthristy smile behind the dimmed riot helmet. “Is someone searching for you? What did you do?”

Perhaps it wasn’t a camera? But that beeping.. Maybe the footage was not yet viewed, she barely formed a thought.

In a sudden outburst the guard starts to scream at her.

    > “TELL ME IMMEDIATELY OR…” his voice lowers into a mocking voice “Or you’ll follow me into there”. He points to the door signifying the old staff room which frankly no one uses anymore.

< “I-…I was just exercising.. yeah, just, wanted to catch my breath..soo, n-naturally i jogged here.. I’m sorry.”

He exhales slowly, but loud enough to be clearly heard and feel threatening at the same time. He extends his hand and rests his palm forcefully on her shoulder.

    > “You’re excused. For now. And don’t think I’ll have mercy on your Aftokratorian tainted soul next time.”

He quickly pulls back his hand, forms it into a fist and punches her on her left upper arm.

The thick glove absorbs some of the impact but doesn’t make much of a difference as the force is strong enough to almost break her arm.

She repulsed back, flinching and clinging onto her arm with her right hand.

The guard swiftly returns to his post as if nothing happened.

Tears are forming in her eyes, still clinching onto her arm now pulsating with unbearable pain.

She gets up and slowly walks toward the exit, head hanging low, tears falling to the ground.

Just yesterday another guard already used physical force on her and other students due to a too loud conversation.

This is psychological warfare. Just against the Aftokratorians. Slowly starting to crop up all across the nation.

No news-outlets are reporting about it. Those affected are left alone to suffer. In true apathetic Fauthurian fashion.

    Story 2

    Involves: Nothing needing viewer discretion

    10th of June 1424

It was a calm, mellow wind blowing through the quiet town of Grend. 15 kilometers east of the capital city.

The leaves are brushing against each other in the densely packed forest just north of the little hamlet.

It was around a 2 kilometer drive through the woods to a small cabin. The lights inside were lit and a radio was playing the local station.

Other than the chirping crickets there seemed to be nothing of interest. Except… a small Campa Simpatican manufactured SUV traversing its way towards the cabin.

It was 0150 in the morning and a dense fog was slowly starting to limp into existence.

The mud on the off-road tires on the SUV was flung from the tires, as the SUV tires lose grip occasionally. Advancing further through the muddy path, it appears that the SUV periodically gets stuck. Probably due to the heavy laden crates in the back.

The two men in front casually chatting along and smoking their cigarettes. Fuel indicator glowing yellow, the men arrived at the cabin and parked their grey-black SUV beside the small stack of wood lining the right side of the cabin.

They get out of the truck, dressed in an all black attire, winter coats even though it is early fall and barely even 15C outside.

Heavy black boots marking the muddy path with every step.

One man starts his small strut towards the cabin while the other remains on the left back door of the vehicle.

Once inside the heavily locked and reinforced cabin door, the use of the building was now visible.

Maps scattering the walls, posters of famous Fauthurian politicians with the head of government at the top of a sort of pyramid, neatly sorted on the escalating back wall of the cabin.

The maps depict sewage systems, city maps, electricity networks and some have circled governmental buildings in red with small arrows scattered around them.

Emitting loud silence, the man inside the cabin makes his way towards the middle of the room with slow, heavy footsteps.

Seemingly exhausted but relaxed from the drive up to the cabin. Relief strewn across his face for an unknown reason.

Once in the middle of the dark floored cabin, he reaches under one of the pine floorboards and pulls on something with care.

He steps back in a small hurry.

The floor starts to creak and a passageway down to the cellar manifests itself in the glow of the dim light emanating from the old bulb hanging from the ceiling.

Once the mechanism is done, the man flicks a switch on one of the first steps down and the sound of fluorescent yellow lights sounds from below.

    He descends into the cellar.

A damp atmosphere, mixed in with humid walls line a corridor with 3 rooms, all closed by reinforced steel doors.

One room is half cemented shut with just a small gap left open to presumably pass something through.

The other room to the right boasts a pristine concrete floor, littered with broken glass chunks,  smudge and the occasional spiderweb.

In one corner of the room lays a thin moldy mattress, with a few red spots on it, looking like someone dripped wine over it.

The walls next to the mattress reveal the gruesome story behind this room with more red seemingly glowing in the faint yellow light.

The man makes his way through the corridor to the last door, standing closed, an eerie aura surrounding it.

He pushes hard on the door, taking his entire bodily force to open it half way, then he positions himself between the frame and door and pushes it fully open with a big shunt. The room is filled with a dusty fog, the fluorescent light from the corridor the only light sources shining into the small, 7 square meter room.

Big wooden crates, reinforced by steel guards around the edges filled the small chamber.

One of the boxes is standing open, revealing the outline of a semi automatic modern Fauthurian era rifle.

Upon opening the door to the small storage room, the man turns around, a slight smile smeared across his face.

Yelling is heard from inside the cabin, a signalling tone for the man by the SUV.

He opens the door carefully and picks up the box inside, struggling to keep his balance at first, he ultimately succeeds and makes his way towards the cabin.

The box is rather big, encased in all metal and bolted shut. A small, crumbled piece of paper glued to the bottom of it giving a hint on what could be the mysterious object inside.

“Only open in case of emergency. Backup [Unintelligible]”

Panting slightly already, the man descends down the stairs, now with the help of the second man carrying the box.

Together in silence, they traverse through the cold, moist corridor in the cellar, more resembling a bunker than anything else and set down the box with a loud thunk and a click.

They exhale deeply almost in perfect synchrony and return to their SUV, closing everything and shutting everything down in the process.

The cabin now resembling an old, abandoned lumberjack shack from the outside.

With a loud tearing sound and a roar from the engine, the headlights flickered to life. The tires spun out in the mud for two seconds until the SUV moved onwards yet again to make another trip back.

    It was now 0203.

    Story 3

    Involves: Nothing of discretion

    11th of june 1424,

It was calm, the tweeting of several species of birds filled the sad, concrete painting that is the city of Graugh in Northern Berklozt.

Inbetween the tall, grey buildings resembling an old 70’s building style, cracked and damaged sidewalks and streets warn of the small budget of the city.

In a poorly maintained park amidst the city, behind the dogwalkers and homeless people sleeping on the brown, run down benches, there lay a pair of glasses.

Damaged beyond repair, blue paint scraped of the metal handles and the glass cracked, ready to explode into a thousand small jagged pieces.

Belonging to a friendly Fauthurian face.

It was a quite happy face.

A face that helped around the community, helped elderly people maintain their front yards and others rescue their cats from trees.

    Everything was good.

    Everything was nice.

    Until…

It was night, standing cold air and a light mist covered the streets.

He was on the outskirts of town, on his way back home.

One or two cars every ten minutes passing by to pursue their own goals, who knows what happens in a night.

The sidewalk is run down, tiles completely missing and big pothole scattered across all surfaces. A few trees lined the road, already dead.

It was like walking through the ruins of a long forgotten city.

He pulled out his phone and switched to another song in his queue, earbuds already in since he left the train station 2 hours ago. 16% battery remaining.

The only really reliable thing in the whole city was the network coverage.

Along his way, he walks past old, closed down shops, big sign of foreclosure plastered on the doors.

Some with police tape on them.

Buildings of a long gone economical golden age.

Back when tourism was booming and the city still had the money to maintain itself.

Now corruption is densening the air that lays on this city, miserbale souls wandering around, syringes in hand.

Long in the distance, sirens make their way downtown, lighting up the black smoke rising to the sky.

Green-blue-white flashing lights, a colorful spectacle in the otherwise grey and sad landscape.

Nonchalantly, he continued his walk, nothing he’s not used to, still either optimism glistening in his eyes, unaware of the future.

10 minutes pass before an ambulance speeds by him downtown, now unravelling deeper thoughts into what could’ve happened. The elegant white-blue paintjob on the ambulance being the only thing shining through supposed Fauthurian glory.

Wheels skidding as it turns the corner, almost spinning out of control into an old, non-commisioned phone booth. The high pitched siren now fading, although the colors getting increasingly bright and more close.

With street lights flickering, the atmosphere switches to an eerie feeling.

No exterior lights on any of the tall concrete buildings, nor a light shining within them. It was almost pitch black.

Another 10 minutes pass, still half a kilometer to the destination. The light show in the sky now more colorful than ever, commotion being heard throughout the empty streets, seemingly coordinated chaos. A bright, yellow and orange light seems to pulsate from behind the nearest building, revealing a colorful inferno of flames fully engulfing a building.

    His eyes widen.

Heart suddenly beating faster, thoughts coming alive.

His house. On fire. Almost collapsing from the structural damage.

    All his belongings, gone.

His pictures, electronic devices, memories, hard earned furniture, stuffed animals that’d been with him his entire life up until now.

    All burned to the ground.

His heart sank, tears forming in his eyes.

All optimism prior now being washed away, leaving a dark gloom.

The only thing remaining, his put on clothes, his wallet and his phone either earbuds. Everything else, gone.

As he turned up to the scene, he was now standing there, admiring the beauty of the flames, feeling bitter, sad and angry.

A nearby policeman, aware of him standing there, asking for identity.

“Sorry for your loss.” A scratchy monotone voice echoed, leaving an imprint that won’t be forgotten easily, burned into his brain.

He was led to a nearby police van, given a small cup of coffee, left sitting there alone.

Another van was housing a handcuffed couple, ready to be transported to the nearest station, 3 kilometers away.

    Nature Aftokraftorian.

    His neighbors.

Always auiet, minding their business, hatred strewn across their faces, glooming with malice.

Ever since the day he met them, the only cold ones towards him.

A ripped up Fauthurian flag, laying on their front yard, soaked with gasoline, intentions clear.

And the man left there sitting alone. No solice, no help.

    Another light diminished.

  13. Following the government change…

Par on course - Everyday lives and effects

It has now been a long while since the government was basically overthrown by a large angry population. The back then provisional government, which could be described as a mere joke, took on a quite significant stance, changed multiple policies all over, instated new ones and brought democracy back. They weren’t lying about freedom from the oppression of the previous government when they stormed the government seat. The current government has now grown semi-stable but is still majorly overwhelmed with bureaucracy and the effectiveness of handling it can at best be described as lack-luster and only forced to work on. Of course, this covers a major scope such as enforcement of policies, lots of agencies for work, families etc., aswell as taxes and different forms for state issued IDs and much, much more miscellaneous concerns and issues. As already described, there’s a backlog. And it is huge. It is affecting everyday lives to the point of having to wait around 5 weeks for government mail to be delivered, which in many cases is already way too late for the origin problem. This eventually led to a widely frowned upon “pick up policy” which was instated to get the mail to the recipient in time. Very urgent to semi urgent mail now needs to be picked up manually by the addressee at the nearest city hall, financial institution, aswell as several different offices, and in rare cases the post offices itself. With this policy in place, the backlog of bureaucracy has been reduced only by a marginal amount, but the reduction is picking up pace with more government reforms, votes and general stability so forecasts see it only as a matter of time until that issue is resolved.

The next point on the list would be general life, happiness, education, public transport, and health. For one, the government has been changed, that we know for sure. But what benefits or even drawbacks/ disadvantages affect the populace? A major point to address would be the now more liberal way of life. The previous government had enacted policies, such as bans on clothes in schools, very high tax rates, public surveillance and even curfews with armed patrols in some places in Fauthur. These were just a few examples but almost all “non-liberal” policies, as the government describes, are now reversed and to a very major degree non-existent. This has changed many a life for the better and gave a boost to production and overall freedom in the workplace, aswell as private and internet life, resulting in the overall population becoming more happy on average, seeing a whopping 18% increase since the government change. Furthermore, a lot of welfare policies and public services were enacted, as far as the budget allows to not draw even more debt to the economy - which we will come to later. A few examples are state provided healthcare and education, effectively making these sectors public and state funding, leading to an equal, tax free, also majorly cheap and effective treatment, aswell as state covered expenses for elementary and secondary school materials and the testing of introducing electronics, such as TVs and computers into some schools around the capital. This is being called “digitalisation of education” by the government and has received, in contrast to the pick-up policy, huge popularity, especially with the youth. Another aspect would be the started expansion of the rail network. As known from a long ago time until the change, the Fauthurian rail network is majorly outdated, in need of repairs, underfunded and has a plethora of other issues going on. Even though it strained the budget, the government also decided to take over the rail sector into a state-owned status, providing and covering expenses to the national rail company to expand the network, build more train stations and overhaul the overall system, with the goal of firstly, getting it to even work. The out of date rail system has been a major economical issue in Fauthur for generations, cutting off major travel routes internationally, inconveniencing industries and leading to a GDP decrease, in turn increasing car and truck usage, polluting the environment.

With the now ongoing repairs and overhaul of the rail system, upgrading, restoring and building stuff, the country is set for a reintegration of public transport by train and more industry productivity by the end of 1425, if done well. The government is allocating major ressources and incentivised workers for this long term project to speed it up, but still have surveillance over all the safety regulations and faulty systems elimination.

Bus Transport in connection to schools has also been slightly expanded overall, with students now getting free bus passes if they reside more than 3 kilometers of flight distance from the school they are attending too, and also establishing extra bus lines just for students. Whereas sadly, the bus ticket prices were raised by 50 Presence Coin (Presence Token form of European cent) which the, government stated, would be a “fair exchange of services”.

Current traffic laws and road maintenance was also impacted in the change, with the government changing speed limits, setting up speed traps, overhauled specifically only very bad highway and main city connections, and enacted, with a surprisingly major acceptance, a ban on very low miles per gallon cars, needing every car to be produced by new efficiency standards and wanting to complete transition away from low MPG cars by the end of 1427, prompting many people with low MPG cars to seek alternatives. The government also incentivizes this but a little, making it not really attractive to transition, but many people seeing it as a forced transition of sorts. This was a heavy blow to the already struggling automobile industry in the country, now more heavily reliant on Kalmash car imports and already in connection to expand the contract.

Recent changes on the international political stage in contrast to the government change has spiked a change in overall hostility, especially against citizens of Fauthurian nature, aswell as several other non-ethnic Fauthurian groups, prompting a more secluded and pessimistic way of life for Aftokratorian population centers in Fauthur. Whileas in other aspects, the government decided to institute more small-ish national parks, due to the size of the forests still available, protecting more forest and also still untouched natural habitats for flora and fauna to thrive alike. In the industrial and agricultural heartland of Fauthur however, the forestry industry is booming with widespread deforestation with the reason of “expanding the available industrial and agricultural space”, which is seen as an honest, but not condoned reason by locals.

In the final aspect before the economy - The government

As mentioned very often above, the government changed and a free democracy, now with a hint of socialism due to state owned industries emerged, facing many problems with just some listed above, but settling ok in their current position with neighboring countries and inside the state of Fauthur.

Of course, it is still in the process of stabilizing even itself, but it already brought great and liberal change to the people of Fauthur who still sigh in relief, that the terror imposed upon them by the previous government for generations on end, finally came to an end. It is hosting it’s own almost full fledged voting and appointing policies, aswell as a public voter integration which requires the government, by law, to hold a public referendum on law changes, law enactments etc., as also done with voting the parliament of course.

Things should get done more slowly now in the face of these regulations, as the emergency power-state of the provisional government came to an end with stability and an actual, internationally recognized state.

Fluctuation by the hour - The Fauthurian economy in retrospect to all the changes, regulations and budget cuts, aswell as budget raises in other places

As mentioned before, we will now dive a bit into the economical aspects of the changes, well, rather said a summary of everything.

    ———

Starting off with, surprise, the start, where it began. Immediately after the government change, the new provisional government had implemented a whole change to the economy, impacting multiple industrial sectors and sent prices fluctuating by the hour. The changes were so drastic however, that for a very brief duration of two weeks, the country had such an unstable economy, it had to print money to keep itself afloat. This resulted in a high inflation spike, with prices at it’s peak being 227% more expensive than normal. However, this caused several problems and maybe even a few crashes in some industries, that is was an absolute marvel the economy recovered as fast as it did to stop the inflation. Things seemed to be going to plan, for a short while atleast. The economy, along with it’s markets and industries strangely stabilized themselved in an unstabilized state, making drastic price changes by the hour, aside the recovery and 4 months after. New and more economy changes, some of them may even be last minute, brought the economy back on track either stagnating, or slightly growing in cycles. This was the case until just recently, as the government passed major policies and changes, such as the nationalization of the health and train industries, needing the government to dump extraordinary amounts of funds into these projects and even having to raise bus fare prices and put up a reinforced amount of speed traps, radar traps, and radar controls to gain some income to mitigate the nationalization somewhat. This used up all available funds and put the government in slightly more debt than it already is, leading to a higher interest rate and putting more strain on the economy.

Experts although forecast some stabilization, aswell as a GDP increase and economic production boost in the coming years, implementing itself slowly and will be barely noticeable but if compared to the past.

This was a brief summary and reflection of some events going on, with the change of government still pretty much in progress and establishing itself even more, gaining in popularity. The story goes on and we will await the next big update on the matter. Renaming topic to - A change in pace, Documentation and Effects after “Liberation day”, as the people now dub it.

    Fauthur - 16th August 1423
    News report

Plans to build Goerg-Esch canal leading through Fauthur rumored to come into action coming November

As it was already clear that there is great potential to shorten the sea route around the west of Nur by building a canal leading through Fauthur on the thinnest point on the border to Campa Simpatica, some reports claim that the government wants to start construction of the Georg-Esch canal coming November. The mega project would be dubbed “Proijek Korban” (Project Korban) and would require a yet unknown, but huge sum of money to fund. The process of building the canal will span across several years until completion. Of course, beware it is just rumors but they sound promising. If the plans for the canal are indeed real, upon completion it will be a great help and boost to several economies in Nur and effectively shortening time for vessels.

Suspicious arrival at Fauthurian naval base

At approximately 11 PM on Sunday, anonymous sources witnessed a strange arrival of 2 Fauthurian naval vessels on the Albrecht naval base in Berklozt. Apparently, these vessels were identified as both the UNFC Grafen-Holmer and the UNFC Ventig, which was surprisingly burning amidships. Both ships looked like they were in an engagement prior to arriving back at base. Should we worry about that? What is the government trying to sweep under the rug? There is definetly something going on between our nation and the nation of Aftokratoria, and that may be our prove that there is more than meets the eye already.

But don’t forget, don’t believe everything you see on the news, we could be wrong afterall but we try our best to give you the most serene and informative articles possible.

Fauthurians and the problem with discrimination

Many times in history and in the modern day, there has always been a huge uproar in politicians making lifes worse for immigrants and tourists from abroad. New studies show, that the majority of the Fauthurian populace is not content with most tourists and immigrants in their near area. 58% of surveyed people claim that they are immediately hostile towards non native Fauthurians and don’t trust them. This is a rise of 3% in contrast to the last 2 years and is only getting worse; especially for individuals of Aftokratorian nature. The recent tensions have caused many incidents involving hostility towards Aftokratorians, even going as far as setting buildings with Aftokratorian residents alight in the night. Multiple affected people across the whole country state that it’s getting unbearable and are considering leaving the country for good before something even more serious happens. One man, who wants to keep anonymous said the following: “We just want to live here in peace. We can not control what happens on the political and international state. We can’t do anything about being Aftokratorian. Why are we getting targeted, insulted and even hit in broad daylight in the middle of the city? This is outrageous and I just can not understand why people do it. Again, I can only say that we want to live in peace and we can not do anything at all about what’s happening. My wife and I are done with this treatment and we want to leave the country soon. It’s a shame really, we liked the landscapes and before the whole political ordeal, people were still nice to us. Our neighbors came over every sunday for some cake and coffee but now they won’t even talk to us and ignore us.”

This is very concerning for many people across Esferos and majorly for Aftokratoria. We ask of you to maybe overthink your choices and be nicer to people. Especially those who come from abroad to make everyone have a nice and fun time. We don’t want to be seen as the most hateful people on Nur after all.

  15. Incident at seas

    10th of August 1423

4:23 PM sharp, waters of Aftokratoria, near the oil spill site

It was a rather calm afternoon. The waves were slowly crawling up the beaches, almost no wind to feel. Yet the water splashing against the hull of the ship was audible to the whole crew of the Sekiyan RNS Destiny, a Holz Class Frigate. The whole reason it was there was to safeguard Aftokratorian waters and help with the oil spillage, with the crew thinking nothing much would happen. But they were there for a reason, a reason that will soon make itself known.

The radar was quiet, everyone was doing what they were assigned to do, many relaxing on deck. The captain of the Sekiyan RNS Destiny is checking over some papers in his office when a frantic knocking could be heard on the office door.

“Come in.” said the captain, “What’s the matter?”

The executive officer stepped into the office, heavily panting like he’d just ran a marathon.

“Sir, we spotted 2 unidentified military vessels approaching the location, *deep breath* we’ve sent up a recon helicopter already to see what comes of it. We presume they are vessels of Fauthurian nature!”

For a brief moment, it felt like silence shook the room. The captain stared into the eyes of the executive officer with intense seriousness. It felt like ages, but the captain finally came to word.

Get everyone ready. I want immediate communication contact with these vessels.”

Without saying a word, both the captain and the executive officer hurried out of the office. One could feel the tense aura that was emitting from the captain. Just a minute later, the captain and a radio operator made contact with the vessels and the recon helicopter report came back positive for Fauthurian military vessels. They appeared to be 2 smaller offshore patrol vessels of the Grafen-Holmer Class, manufactured 1408, already in dire need for a refit.

With the vessels closing in about 20 kilometers (12,4 miles) away, radio connection was finally established and a heated, but still serious discussion could be heard from both sides. The Fauthurian vessels were advised to change course and leave the area multiple times, although they did not budge and remained steady on course. Meanwhile other radio operators called in backup from 2 nearby Czuleckian missile boats just 7 minutes out.

    4:35 PM

The Fauthurian vessels were now in line of sight, barely 6 kilometers out and at a full stop. Just like the RNS Destiny. The two vessels made themselves known as the UNFC Grafen-Holmer and the UNFC Ventig and were protesting on their right to be in these waters, claiming it’s international waters, although the navigations on the RNS Destiny stated it’s Aftokratorian territory.

Once more the Captain of the RNS Destiny, now backed up by the side of 2 Czuleckian missile boats, the CzWNS Eldheim and the CzWNS Fjellborg, advised the 2 Fauthurian vessels to turn back immediately, reason being they’re violating Aftokratorian waters. Failure to do so would result in warning shots.

Without a response, one of the Fauthurian vessels aimed its armament in the direction of the RNS Destiny. The RNS Destiny did the same, along with the two missile boats on standby and the Sekiyan Holz Class Frigate RNS Concorde also underway as backup, although too far away.

Suddenly, the captain of the UNFC Grafen-Holmer spoke on the radio.

We have a right to travel through here. This is international waters and thus we are free to traverse along this path. We won’t have any remorse, nor hesitation to open fire unless you move out of our way and stop impeding our travels. We are simply following orders.”

It was immediately clear to everyone that this was a big threat, and no one is going anywhere. Although visibly angry and slightly panicked, the Captain of the RNS Destiny responded in a calm and peaceful manner, going with the diplomatic solution: “We both know that this is Aftokratorian waters, and you are violating said waters. Turn around this instant and there will be no further consequences and no harm done. If you plan on forcing your way through, we are also ready to respond with all means possible, as well as further backup arriving soon.”

Afterall, one could simply not let these Fauthurian vessels pass on Aftokratorian waters with everything that has happened. And that is why the RNS Destiny was here; to protect these waters.

A big suspense filled the air. What would happen next? Will there really be an engagement between the task forces? Guns are aimed, ranges found, and a lot of sailors scared or eager are waiting for what happens next. The water still splashing loudly against the hull, seemingly intensifying by the second.

Finally, the silence was broken with a stern voice coming through the radio again.
“We will give you 2 minutes. Let us pass or we will use lethal force. We will not be brought off course by a couple of idiots.”

A loud bang was heard, shaking the crew of both the RNS Destiny and the Czuleckian missile boats. The UNFC Grafen-Holmer fired a warning shot above the RNS Destiny

“Hold your fire!” the intercom of the ship announced. “If they fire again, we will retaliate.

The captain speaking through the radio to the Fauthurian vessels a last time.

“Turn around now and there will be no consequences! We can solve this peacefully, but if you fire again, we will be forced to retaliate with everything we have!”

With a loud and continuous creaking sound, the UNFC Venting now turned her turrets in the direction of one of the Czucleckian missile boats, the CzWNS Fjellborg

    Around 4:41 PM

After another minute of suspense, the Fauthurian vessels began firing upon the taskforce of Sekiyan and Czuleckian vessels without warning in a near spectacular manner. Explosions after explosions and loud bangs, mixed with loud yelling of sailors mixed the air. It was now a life or death situation and everything was moving in a hurry. Shells flying overhead, missing towers and funnels by mere inches, panicked yells of terror echoed through all ships as an immediate distress signal was emitted from the RNS Destiny

After two minutes of terror and ear defeaning banging, the shots of both sides stopped. “HOLD FIRE!” Was announced on all of the ships near simultaneously, just a second after a torpedo was mistakenly fired from the CzWNS Fjellborg in the direction of the UNFC Ventig due to a communication error, striking it amidships after a couple of seconds.

The captain of the UNFC Grafen-Holmer announced an immediate cease fire and disengagement, stating defeat and wanting to prevent the loss of life. But only really done to not be sunk themselves

By a miracle almost no shots hit the RNS Destiny, nor its complement or the missile boats. It seemed the Fauthurian vessels had new crewmates on board or were deliberately missing shots. The Captain of the RNS Destiny immediately called in the cease fire and disengagement to a nearby naval base. Only 14 injured, no dead are the official numbers reported after a checkup.

Both the UNFC Ventig and the UNFC Grafen-Holmer had already turned around and are fleeing, with many losses, both of Fauthurian and Artingurian nature. The UNFC Ventig sailing behind the UNFC Grafen-Holmer with greatly reduced speed, listing badly to one side and a massive fire raging on board that still wasn’t contained

After the situation had calmed down significantly, the captain of the RNS Destiny went back to his office and reported the happenings to higher staff immediately and with great urgency in his voice. The RNS Destiny would need to return to port to repair still, reason being that a part of the front mast was blown off, along with the CzWNS Fjellborg that sustained heavy damage on its bow as a result of a penetrating high explosive shot.

This incident would spark a new major fire on the already fragile situation between Aftokratoria and Fauthur, also possibly worsening relations with Sekiya and Czuleck in the process. The reaction may yet be seen but the government of Fauthur is keeping it secret from the public for now and censors any and all allegations and news reports of this incident.

West Fauthur Central Radio Evening broadcast introductionary program

West Fauthur Central Radio 8PM sharp

Moderator 1 (Lehan): Good Evening Fauthur! You're tuned in to West Fauthur Central Radio – Evening!, your source for all the latest news, updates, and of course, music. I'm Lehan, and joining me today is our esteemed colleague, Iltip. How are you today, Iltip?

Moderator 2 (Iltip): Good Evening Lehan! I'm doing well, thank you. It's great to be here, especially given the current state of affairs between Fauthur and Aftokratoria. We have a major incident to discuss today. To make things more urgent, it is BREAKING NEWS, Lehan

Lehan: Absolutely, Iltip. As we all know, the tensions between Fauthur and Aftokratoria seem to be reaching new heights each day with all the pollitical drama and stuff. We've just received a report about a incident that's sure to add fuel to the fire.

Iltip: Literally! Reports indicate that five Fauthurian vessels, still unidentified, deliberately entered Aftokratorian waters earlier today and Shockingly dumped hundreds of barrels of oil into the waters. To make things worse, the zone they dumped the oil in was designated to be a protected natural habitat! Dear listeners, this is a MAJOR slap in the face, straining the fragile situation between Fauthur and Aftokratoria even more.

Lehan: Unbelievable! These actions will surely stick around for a while. Aftokratorian coastal defense forces have swooped in to respond. They wasted no time in taking the sailors on board those Fauthurian vessels into custody. It's important to remember that these sailors are Fauthurian citizens as well! No one except the coastal defense forces and maybe their ministry knows wht’s being done with these sailors and their vessels! We still have not received any updates nor statements on that matter. But still, you gotta say, It’s not been that long ago. In fact, this incident occurred around 3 hours ago! Their Coastal Defense is probably still cleaning up the mess these sailors made.

Iltip: Indeed, Lehan. This incident raises concerns not just about the environment but also about the potential escalation of hostilities. It remains to be seen how our government will respond to their citizens being held captive by Aftokratorian authorities.

Lehan: Absolutely, Iltip. The tension between the two nations has already led to protests and calls for peace from the public. This incident will undoubtedly intensify those sentiments or even make them worse. We can only hope that both governments take these calls seriously and work towards a peaceful resolution. We do not want a war in the worst case! No one wants that

Illtip: Well said. It's crucial for Fauthur and Aftokratoria to prioritize dialogue and find common ground. The longer this animosity persists, the greater the risk of a full-blown conflict that could have devastating consequences for our country or even others.

Lehan: Now, it appears that our introductionary time frame is running a bit low. Let's move on to some traffic updates to keep our listeners informed. We have multiple incidents reported across the capital this morning. Firstly, there's heavy congestion Westbound on the A6 leading to Ibbenhausen, due to a multi-vehicle collision near the Lemko-District exit. Reportedly, a semi veered off the right lane into the left lane of traffic, striking a sedan. This followed into a huge wreck where multiple vehicles coud not break in time and piled up. There are a total of 8 vehicles involved. It has yet to be seen how many people are injured or even dead. Meanwhile, Emergency services are on the scene and the left lane has reopened, but major delays are expected, so please plan your commute accordingly.

Majorly Successful Fauthurian Racing Team "Epsylon Fira Racing Team" to compete in the Esferos F1 Championships

    West Fauthur - May 25th, 1423

It truly has been some past difficult months for E-Fira Racing Team Leader Kentrijk Heifth and his team. Ever since word got out that the Esferos F1 Committee is scouting for suitable racing teams in Nur to take part in the grand Esferos F1 world cup, the team gave it their all and intensified their PR accordingly, pulling hoour after hour of overtime and giving racing and team building a lot of effort. In that time they won 3 major racing leagues. The Fauthurian Rallye Championship, The Fauhturian National High Speed Circuit Grand Prix Tournament, aswell as the RallyX Championship going alongside the normal Rallye Championship. During that time, many of E-Fira's drivers improved especially on high speed head to head races, and time cutting, consistency. Upon the announcement of E-Fira actually being accepted to the Esferos F1 Championship, the HQ in Bolia Verde, Espirtu Santo, must have been bouncing up and down with happiness. Fauthurian social media is also blowing up as we speak. There has never been so much pride and hype for Fauthur in a sporting competition since we were part of the United Nations of Kalmach. All kinds of people singing praises up and down.

Now, what an insider of TNW (your newspaper truly) found out, is that Head of Government, Kerglom Hafth has shown great interest in the success of the Fauhturian team in the upcoming Championship. He himself has not yet made any statements about this issue and keeps a poker face throughout the whole ordeal. Also seemingly withdrawing from the whole Aftokratorian affair as if it never happened. The Aftokratorian issue is being largely overshadowed by the Esferos f1 Championships currently and seemingly no one is batting an eye on international affairs for now. We hereby want to warn you, dear readers, that there is always a possibility of grave mistakes happening everywhere around you, as well as in the government. We ask you to keep this in mind as international affairs, especially the Championship progresses.

And please do not get rowdy in any foreign states. Always watch your alcohol intake and drive safe. We ourselves are also very proud of the Epsylon Fira Racing Team.

  18. 04.04.1423 - West Fauthur

As the conflict between the UNK and Garahun takes it's course course and deaths toll high, the Fauthurian government made it's official statement regarding the matter.

"We are all aware of the aggression the UNK is showing, the homes innocent people being destroyed, brave soldiers giving their lives on the frontline for essentially all that is a landgrab. Alas, it was a justified landgrab and a way to end the long standing hostilities in that region. As shown before, the affected territories have previously voted to be re-unified to the UNK's lands. Their government did not honor this motion shown by the people and fierce resistance by the people of the affected territories began to show. After a while, there was no other option than to liberate the people of the suppression from Garahun's lands. Nonetheless, we will hereby reach out to affected people, both soldier or not, Garahun or not and send them as much aid as possible. Additionally, during the war and a year after it, Garahun citizens shall have visa free entry and a home assigned to them if they ever reach Fauthurian jurisdiction and apply for such. We will establish a monetary fund for everyone affected to help recover living conditions, as well as major lost possessions such as cars, childrens toys and more.

But here we have to take another decision, should we suspend the UNK from the NCC for an unspecified amount of time or not? Statistics show that the populace of Fauthur has voted for the suspension, and we see it as justified. One of the reasons being that the UNK has not proposed atleast an ultimatum to Garahun before just walzing in and surprising friend and foe alike. Also, due to our harsh history with the UNK we believe many people have voted out of spite against the UNK and we can not do anything about that. The people have the power, the people choose.

We in the government also have made another tough decision. We do not want our relations to the UNK, nor the rest of Nur deteriorate. Sadly we can not ensure that this happens and there are always parties that are guaranteed to be mad. Our populace has shown quite the variety of support to defend Garahunian lands. We can not look over this fact, but also can not take any further action in support of Garahun. Instead, we opted to for a limited amount of time, or for the duration of the rest of the war, that we will restrict access only from the UNK into Fauthur that is not a regular citizen of the UNK. The citizens in both Garahun and the UNK are not supposed to carry the weight of their governments decisions and we do not want to make their time already harder than it presumably currently is. Only the governments of their countries can be justifiable on the matters the government takes. At the last action we are taking is that we are sending any government officials received from the UNK and send to the UNK back to their respective countries. We hope that this war is soon to end and not many more casualties to happen. This is no laughing matter for anyone and should stay like that."

    Technique (Between 2 and 5): 5

Driver's bio: Hentig Likurt (M) is a very careful, but fast driver having mastered Fauthur's most nefarious racing tracks and dominated the countries racing leaderboards in go-kart, rally racing,
and 24 hour endurance races. He is 27 years of age, has a wife and 2 kids, both male and female and has won several trophies and titles in his career. Over the years, he has proven himself to be reliable and conservative in his racing style,
often taking rest in front or behind opponents cars in races to cool down his overheated breaks and sometimes even engine. On the Rally front, 4 titles all in multiple stage rally in the national Fauthur Rally Championship. Here’s where his technicality comes to play, fast paced precision corner cutting, drifting around corners, and gaining time wherever possible.

In team racing however, driving with and around a teammate in another car, he has been showing himself to be kind of selfish and sometimes refuses to coordinate with his team mates. Regardless of the races outcome, he will always take well deserved rest with his family and not overreact. He is the nations number one racing driver and will take on every international competition related to racing.

Driver's bio: Hetrin Lomia (F), born in the capital city of Fauthur, West Fauthur, 23 years ago is a aspiring Futhurian High Speed Racing driver taking part in the National Speed Racing League that happens every year (Like Formula 1). Given that a lot of Fauturian Tracks in the League are made for speed and fuel management specifically, there isn't much technique to be used in the corner lacking circuits. This has prompted her to adopt a really aggressive, though reliable racing style as much to her abilities as she can. So far, she has taken part in 3 seasons of the NSRL and took the champion title once. the other two times were third place and 7th place in the championship. Alhtough Fast and Reliable, she still lacks some major experience the other drivers don't.

    Track Length (km): 6.35 km

Info: Heppenfelde is the oldest Race track in Fauthur that hasn't decayed. It is located in the rural East Fauthur in a smaller city inhabiting 15.000~ people called Heppenfelde. It's been used for more than 80 years hosting all types of races, from elimination and classic racing, to endurance racing and time attack racing with cars as well as motorbikes and therefore draws widespread attention whenever a race is happening. It is a big track featuring many long and slightly curving sections where aggressive drivers can really excell at their abilities, a couple of sharp turns, especially Turn 15 and 16, nicknamed "Speedy Halt" Due to a history of many drivers overseeing the sudden sharp turn and crashing into the barriers. Then we got turn 19 and turn 20 which are nicknamed "The Wrecking S" where many duels have found a gnarly end due to a very hard break from a long and speedy straight. The track offers 2 emergency drive off routes which were only recently built in the last year to stop cars from crshing into hard barriers there. It also offers plenty of sand banks and gravel pools to stop any sliding car that has spiralled out of control without crashing into a hard barrier. The track consists of 3 Sectors, each measuring the top speed and time of drivers all the time and with a lot of Safety Stewards and Emergency Response Units, such as ambulances and firetrucks along the way to quickly deal with any issues on track. It also boasts cheap tickets due to the many spots in which visitors can watch the race at all along the track.

It is famous amongst racers all about Fauthur because of it's simplicity and aggressiveness.

  20. February 27th, 1423 – Official Statement of Fauthurian Government

A few days have passed since the response of the Aftokratorian populace. The Aftokratorian government still hasn't come out with a statement and the riots are not stopping anytime soon. The Fauthurian citizens also are worrying about relations to Aftokratoria, seeing that they have been recently freed by the oppression of the old government, they want to maintain the peace within Nur as much as possible. The Fauthurian government took matters into their own hands and gave the populace of both nations a statement.

The Statement reads that from the side of the Head of Government, Kerglom Hafth, there has not been any repercussion at all. Hafth has not given in and is staying stubborn and defends his opinion as much as he can, saying: "The Aftokratorian people getting mad at us for such a little matter like this goes to show what hypocrites they are harbouring in that nowhere place of a barbaric island nation! They have no right insulting us Fauthurians and should keep their mouths shut. We will not recognise them as a nation of Nur, nor, in my opinion should we keep open any of those trade relations or even travel. Cut all that off I say! They want to insult us, they want to dispose of us? Then they shall have at us, but if they do, we will retaliate to the fullest extend and not hold back at any minute."

Whileas this sparked a huge controversy across both countries, the people of Nur are clearly infuriated with Hafth's actions but many also seem to agree, looking at the situation. While we are awaiting responses from Aftokratorias side, the Fauhturian government, apart from Hafth, have shown clear discomfort with the situation and almost all politicians are avoiding speaking about it at all costs. The government has fallen silent, thus taking no real stance and letting Hafth do his thing, as the people get angrier and more scared for the relations between the two countries and possibly even international backlash. The only thing stopping Hafth's words are the failed votes of cutting off relations and trade, or even travel. It is clear that the government is acting against it, in silence.

  21. February 16th 1423 - The Cause

At a public speech this afternoon, Head of Government, Kerglom Hafth got into a heated discussion with an audience member at his monthly public speech in the West West Fauthur Halls, where he loudly exclaimed that: "Aftokratoria will not be recognised as a part of the Nuran continent, and never will. It is simply situated too far north of that it would ever be recognised as a Nuran state, and should therefore not particiapte in our politics." This was not well received by the audience, aswell as fellow politicians as this part of the speech was uploaded to social media in just a couple of minutes, sparking a "shitstorm" on the web with several people not being satisfied of Hafth's actions. Furthermore, Hafth openly defended his words, not trying to diffuse the situation. This is seen as a international statement to Aftokratoria which could cause massive backlash upon the government or even the country. A lot of effort is being made as to cover up this incident but it is already too widespread to do anything about it. Hafth already has several scandals behind his back even before the candidacy for Head of Government. For example, Hafth has once been caught spreading lies about the then current government which was not successful. The other time he tried to rig elections in favor of a center right politician who was promptly discharged from his position as a politician and permanently disbarred from participating in any political actions. It is, as honest as we say it, a small wonder Hafth even got to where he is today, stating that he's bettered himself from back in the day, which, as we see today, is not true as he is starting to reveal his true nature once again.

There has not been an official response from the government of Fauthur, nor the government of Aftokratoria on this incident yet. And it doesn't seem as though Hafth will receive any consequences, but future will see. The public of course hopes that the Aftokratorian government does indeed not take this seriously but as Hafth said it, this matter may be more pressing and serious than we think, as it is in fact an official statement made by him, the Head of Government.
