Signups and OOC Thread There's already a lot of talk about doing an F1-like competition for Esferos. But while I open this signup and OOC thread, this gives me a gauge of how many people actually want to do it and provides an initial baseline of the number of users willing to RP until the end of the season/calendar of this competition. This competition (emphasis on the word I used, "competition," rather than "tournament") will be different from the usual because this will not happen and will end in just one (1) month. I am currently looking at the season/calendar for this competition will roughly be eight (8) months, depending on the number of signups. However, we will only utilize a maximum of one week per event per month to minimize RP-writing burnouts. A race weekend will start on a Friday with practice, with qualifyings happening on Saturday, and the competitive race on Sunday. For roleplays in the season, I will allow as much as one (1) week before the start of the practice for RPs to be posted. Cut-offs will happen three times in a race weekend, one before scorinating the results of the practice (receiving a maximum of one (1) point), one before scorinating the results of the qualifying (receiving a maximum of one (1) point), and one before scorinating the results of the race (receiving a maximum of one (1) point), for a total of three (3) points from RPing for the whole weekend. A season-wide RP bonus will also be given for teams and drivers RPing on the signing of a driver for the team (receiving a maximum of one (1) point), the teams and engine manufacturers coming to terms on which engine to use (receiving a maximum of one (1) point), and the teams and tire manufacturers coming to terms which tire to use (receiving a maximum of one (1) point). If no RP is posted but only announced in this OOC thread, there will only be 0.1 points for each decision made by a team. A team is allowed to have a maximum of two (2) drivers. Multiple signups will happen in this thread, of which the IC thread will be posted after many signups are posted. The IC thread will start with the pre-season, for teams deciding to roleplay which driver to sign and which engine and tire to use. However, the Team, Engine, and Tire Signups will only be reserved for Veteran Storytellers (subject to change with the agreement between Loremasters and Lorekeepers). All Storytellers will be able to signup a driver and circuit (circuit signups are subject to scrutiny by Loremasters for realism), with Veteran Storytellers being able to signup a maximum of two (2) drivers for this competition. I will only select 3-4 tire suppliers, with no limit to the number of approved engine suppliers. This season, we will use The Racing Scorinator (TRS) v2.5.6, the standard Motorsports / Auto Racing RP scorinator of NS Sport. Again, no double-posting (except for me to submit my signups)! The University Athletic Association of the United Adaikes (UAAUA) is a nonprofit athletic association for all universities nationwide. It organizes collegiate sports competitions and sets general athletic policies for all universities in the United Adaikes. If you are a participant, you can start posting about your nation's football (soccer) team (logo, players, kits, and any other related information). You can also post about your team's preparations for this inaugural event! Another important thing to include in your roster post is the "role play permissions". If you want to role play while making sure that the other RPer(s) won't do inevitable things you don't want to happen to your team, you can post these below outlining what the other RPers can or cannot do, for example: Injure my players: yes/no Assign my players yellow cards: yes/no Assign my players red cards: yes/no Godmod injuries: yes/no Godmod scoring: yes/no Godmod other events: yes/no The last three permissions, godmodding, is the role playing unrealistic or unbelievable things happening. So if you want a more realistic experience for your team (and what we hopefully want in the games for the duration of the tournament), you can ask other RPers not to godmod in your matches. You can also add, leave, or remove any role permissions you want. It's your team, so we will let you dictate the way your team plays (as long as it is realistic). Also, you can include what we call a "style modifier". This is a number between -5 and +5, which indicates if you are a defensive (leaning to negative numbers) or an offensive (leaning to positive numbers) team. However, this won't affect your chance of victory. If you also don't put one, you'll automatically get a neutral modifier (0.00), and that is just fine. The evening of the Heads of State Meeting at Duchy Estate Main Conference Hall, The Fiovana Kharventhin, Blue Bubble "First and foremost, I want to thank Vikki for organizing this abrupt press conference with you all," President Luke Salazar started, looking at Vikki Boatwright, his Press Secretary, after the meeting with the heads of state hours ago. "I'd like to apologize if I arrived late," Salazar continued. "There were just so many interesting and intriguing points that the world leaders present there discussed in that meeting. I want to share some with you as the President of the United Adaikes. I also believe that some points there don’t need to see the light of the day here in the beautiful country of Blue Bubble. I'll be delighted to accept questions." Salazar points to one of the reporters, raising their hands. “Mister President, this is just the Second Esferiad, the first for the country, but the main question was how did Blue Bubble invite you? And if you have talked with the other leaders about this one, how did you all find the way and time to come here for what the international press calls the ‘Esferiad Summit’?” “When we submitted our reply to the International Federation of National Sporting Organizations that we will be participating in the Second Esferiad, there was already chatter about having a world leaders’ meeting in whoever gets selected to host the Esferiad in the spirit of sportsmanship and how we can introduce more sports competitions and increase participation in these competitions. When I received the invitation, I told Mel [Gaspar, the Vice President] and Jed [Gill, Red Palace Chief of Staff] that I want to be here in Kharventhin.” Salazar selects another reporter. “What was the nature of the meeting, sir? One of the most interesting things that we talked about was the scope of autism acceptance in their country. I love the programs their government has for persons with autism. I will be surely talking to the Social Services Cluster in my Cabinet when I get back to the United Adaikes. After we can have resolutions, I will be sending a team to Hertfordshire and Jammbo, composed of experts in personality and development, benchmark on their programs to guide us on how we can also develop programs for these excellent members in our society.” Another reporter asked, “How were the other world leaders, Mister President?” “I get to join in dinner the Sultan of Arifiyyah and his wife. I'd go with Z-Day..well, just because I've been joining Z-Days only..and that it's a Regional effort..if a nation becomes Zombiefied, they can still be cured..not sure on N-Days when you get nuked..
