  1. If I was made "Resident Old Fart" I'd join this government in a heartbeat. Here are six dimes on the OP. Westwind is correct in saying that a successful delegate needs ministerial support to get things done. The disappointment of his delegacy is no less different than many of us who have say in the chair. I don't believe the Guardian system detracts from activity. Nor does our in-game over game. What kills activity is the length of the delegate term - a year. That level of stability is good for stability bad for forum activities because people can spend their time in other regions where reaching the crown takes less time. Do you think an Escade becomes delegate so quickly in TWP as compared to TSP? I don't think so. I'm not trying to knock our delegate terms, but just say that is my opinion as to why our activity wanes. Also - and as this thread demonstrates, we're not focused on legislating on these forums. We're not TNP trying to get out of our way in the judicial system or TSP with the numerous personality conflicts. But, those things drive activity and when you have a system where people agree and those that don't agree don't believe that they can exact change [not that this is true], you don't have much forum activity. I continue to say, if someone had a very radical government idea, TWP would be the region most welcome to such ideas. But, because people have to put time and effort here I think many choose to put their energies elsewhere.
  2. You share a birthday with Flemingovia it seems.
  3. No the article was good, it certainly was the content I was referring to. No skillz...no political skillz. I actually expected more from Unibot.
  4. This should be listed in the wiki page titled - "Why PunkDaddy decided to retire. Exhibit 65"
  5. Osiris looks like they're at it again...but still not enough motivation to pull me back in.
  6. The other day my wife asked me "how's the world domination game?" I told her I had retired and she was shocked, not dismayed, and had a bit of a smile on her face. She couldn't believe I 'retired' and said, "yeah, how long will that last?" I told her that it's going to last a fairly long while and that I have no intention of return to active participation. The few weeks since retirement have seen the CTE of my largest nation "Big D Baby" (I revived) and me trying to figure out which nations do I want to keep alive. I've settled on 3 - Punk Reloaded, Punk Daddy, and Big D Baby. Everything else should be dead in a matter of weeks. I have questioned what could draw me back and only an international world war could do it. If that happens, make sure to reach out. Until then I'm going to enjoy the margaritas on the beach, but I'll stop by from time to time to say hello. On these forums it is weird to see 'protected forum' and other areas I used to be able to see but can no longer.
  7. My feelings around Osiris are thus "i don't care". IDC for the win!!

  12. How about 50 jumpin jacks and 30 push ups. I mean you did say anything. Just kidding. Seriously though, here's what you can do. Make a list of the top 10 user created regions and see if we have an in-game embassy with them and if they have offsite forum embassy as well.
  13. No one ever really retires. So enjoy your time away!
