Division and Administration.

Inner Ryxtylopia is a Federation, composed of 11 Federal Entities, 10 states and 1 administrative district.

There are two main legislative bodies in Inner Ryxtylopia, The Senate Chamber, and the Chamber of Deputies.

The Chamber of Deputies has 400 seats, deputies are elected by popular vote every 5 years.

The Senate Chamber has 110 seats, and like deputies’ senators are elected by popular vote but serve for 10 years.

There are 10 Senators per each state, this includes the Federal Administrative District (F.A.D)

If the president proposes a law, it must receive approval from both chambers before becoming law.

Senators and Deputies can also propose laws to the president, if the president agrees, well then, the law must be approved by both government chambers.

Deputies can be elected from all over the country and there is no limit per state, but there can only be 10 Senators per state.

In case of an emergency the president can pass a law without approval from the Chamber of Deputies, only consulting the Senate, but as soon the emergency ends the law must be revised and approved by the chamber of deputies.

Elections and Term Extensions

The president is elected every 6 by a popular vote, and must be ratified by the Senate after the election.

After the 6 years the president can cast a vote to extend his term by 2 years, usually to accomplish social programs or economic or political reform.

State governors serve for 4 years again with an option to extend term by 2 years with a vote. (Including the FAD)

If a president does a terrible job, he/she can be removed, both the Senate chamber and the Deputies chamber can request for a president’s or governor’s removal, if both agree a popular vote will be done where the people vote for the removal of the person in question.

If the person in question gets removed both chambers will choose someone to serve the rest of the term until the next election.

President/Governor Removal usually only happens near the end of a term but can be enacted at any time.

In the case a President or Governor dies or is assassinated both chambers will elect someone else to govern for the rest of the term, the acting president won’t be able to enact some of the presidential powers like enact emergency laws, and must go through the normal process of consulting both chambers.

The States of Inner Ryxtylopia.

As previously said Inner Ryxtylopia has 10 States, and 1 Administrative District, in this segment we'll talk about the states that make up the country and their impact as a whole.

1- Salvador

Salvador is the oldest state where the oldest architecture is found, and its also one of the richest states and has one of the highest HDI rates in the country.

Its a peninsula meaning water is abundant, and most cities are located near the coast, due to this the interior of the state is not very populated, but its one of the best connected states and posses some of the largest cities in the country, and some of the most important ports.

Salvador since declared a state has not suffered any major territorial changes and is probably one of the nicest places to live in Inner Ryxtylopia with the tourism industry flourishing there.

Its biggest industry is tourism with its capital being Ciudad Loro.

2- Yilanit

Previously Inhabited by the Yilanit People a tribe that still exists to this day but forced to the mountains

Its Inner Ryxtylopia's 2nd most populated state having the 2nd largest city (in the country) and its capital Buenavista.

Similar to its northern neighboor Salvador, its relativley rich compared to the rest of the country but lacks an established tourism industry meaning the money has to come from somewhere else.

Its two main industries are fishing and woodchopping but due to recent enviromental laws, the state has to balance out the extraction and replenishment of resources and this has caused a slow economic decline to begin in the state, nontheless its a nice place to live if you enjoy being surrounded by trees. (having some of the largest nature reserves in the country)

As previously stated its capital is Buenavista.

3- Elaaní

The name means "White River" in the Yilanit language beacause this state border Inner Ryxtylopia's largest river again the so called "White River", this river is known for intense currents, and the river holds a huge variety of marine life.

Unfortunatley for years the river was polluted by industrial discharge and sewage due to goverment neglect but recently its clearing up due to new enviromental laws.

The state is one of the poorer states in Inner Ryxtylopia and also one of the most mountainous, the mountains making up its eastern border.

It isn't densly populated and its main industries are Mining, Manufacturing, and Fishing.

Its capital is Bahía Cangrejo.

4- Carrizal

The largest state in the federation and the least populated one, even with its size a large perentage of its territory is either mountains or forest leaving only the coast as the area where most live.

Its also probably the poorest state in the Federation, and has seen a recent population decline due to younger generations moving the richer areas in the country.

It has Inner Ryxtylopia's 2 land borders, Dilber to the south and Theesserrasland to the south-west.

Carrizal also has the tallest point in Inner Ryxtylopia at 4,017 meters above sea level.

The state is named after the carrizo or the reeds that grow on the "Rio blanco" in its northern border.

Its main industries are agriculture and woodchopping and its capital is Carrizal.

5- San José

Named after a town that was destroyed during a conflict years ago this state is Inner Ryxtylopia's main source of food, its main industry being agriculture.

Its not poor but its also not rich, and the state's population is mostly concentrated in the coast with the interiors having vast farmlands.

Its the second largest state in the federation just behind carrizal.

Its capital is 13 de Noviembre.

6- Pestalpa

Here is where one of the major tribes of Inner Ryxtylopia used to live the "Pestalba" tribe.

Nowadays this is the most populated state in Inner Ryxtylopia and contains the most important ports and some of the most populated cities, its one of the richest states in the federation but the avarage income there is avarage.

Still the tourism industry is one of the biggest industries there along with fishing and serves as Inner Ryxtylopias front door basically, where most imports and exports arrive and get sent from.

Unfortunatley for the Peskalba people their numbers are decreasing and they are currently living closer to the mountains, the people that used to make up that once great tribe are known for being some of the poorest in Inner Ryxtylopia

Its capital is Puerto Rojo

7- Cordilleras

Named after the mountains that make a majority of the state, its one of the more populated states, but most people live in the northern part of the state where it borders the ocean and the Distrito Administrativo Federal (Federal Administrative District)

Its main industry is mining, and the income people make there is avarage for Inner Ryxtylopia.

The mining industry is entrenched there and this is one of the more conservative states oftenly resisting new laws that want to limit the extent of resources extraction.

They also heavily resist enviromental laws and this state was ranked as the "Most Corrupt in Inner Ryxtylopia"

The Capital is Corredor Central

8- Cartagena

Known for coffee production the island's main industry is agriculture, its also a major stop for ships to refuel.

Its not one of the most populated state and the income there is avarage.

Its name translates to red island, and it has some of the oldest architecture on Inner Ryxtylopia.

The island used to be part of a larger state called Islas Norteñas (Northern Islands) but the state was broken up during a time of political instability in the country.

The capital is Victoria.

9- Tirilpa Este

Another case of a state being named after a tribe or a people that lived on it, this state shares an island with its twin Tirilpa Oeste.

Its name being Tirilpa East, it has the eastern part of Tirilpa island.

Its a relativley poor state with its main industries being woodchopping and mining.

It used to be part of Islas Norteñas before the breakup of that state, but there are talks of reuniting it with Tirilpa Oeste to form a bigger state called Tirilpa, but due to concerns over what wolud happen to the senate if both states united, propolsals to unite them are oftenly rejected by the Senate.

Its capital is 20 de Mayo.

10- Tirilpa Oeste

Like its twin Tirilpa Este they share a lot in common.

This is the northernmost state having the northernmost point in Inner Ryxtylopia.

Unfortunatley like its twin its a poor state and its main industries are agriculture and woodchopping, there is a deforestation problem in this state as the impoverished locals keep chopping wood despite it being illegal in some areas

As said earlier, this state used to be part of Islas Norteñas before its breakup during a time of political instability.

This state was rated as one of the most corrupt states in Inner Ryxtylopia.

Its capital is Punto Norte

11- Distrito Administrativo Federal

The Distrito Administrativo Federal (DAF) or Federal Administrative District in English is not a state but still acts like one.

Its a district where the capital is located so tecnically it does not have a capital, its also the smallest of the 11 federal entities and the most densely populated one.

There is where all govermental bodies are located from the Senate to the Ministry of Foreign Relations.

The main industry there is tourism and the income there is avarage.

As said the DAF does not have a capital since its basically one city, but all the goverment buildings are located there.

After states the next political division are districts, they are smaller divisions than states, and their size usually depends on their population (kinda), in the south where not a lot of the population lives the districts tend to be larger so they can have the same number of people as the smaller but more populated districts in the north.

All districts elect their representatives and have representation depending on population, unfortunatley this can cause less populated districts to be ignored at a state level, and recive less funding.

All distrcits are equal with the exception of the D.A.F, even if its a districts it operates as a state, since its the capital of the nation and giving it to any other state would cause that state to have a lot of power at the national level as they would hold the capital.

Map of Inner Ryxtylopia's districts.

Inner Ryxtylopia's geography is quite mountainous, with a long range of mountains running through the center of the country, this makes most of the population concentrate near the coast, with 90% of Inner Ryxtylopia's living within at least 100 km from the ocean.

Of course there are exceptions but that is mostly the rule.

Here is a population density map.

And here is a map of all the state capitals.

Of course the mountains stop at the sea but they dont help when building infrastructure like roads or bridges between states.

For example if you wanted to drive from Bahía Cangrejo to lets say 13 de Noviembre, you wolud have to follow the costal roads around the mountains to Ryxenia and then go down again, wasting a lot of time compared to if you colud just cross the mountains.

This does not really cause an East-West divide but it makes it harder to travell.

Fortunatley for Natives of the region displaced years ago the mountains offer sanctuary and something similar for trees when it comes to deforestation.

Inner Ryxtylopia also has several islands off its coast the largest being Tirilpa island.

Followed by Cartagena, and then a few others.

Theese islands are mostly flat while the two larger ones have mountains on them but that doesn't affect them much.
