I don't blame any defender type from wanting to control a feeder and I do understand the sham that democracy in the North Pacific is now and has always been. Yy4u worked his way into a position of trust that was an idealistic experiment but alas a failed one. The Guardians aren't opposed to new blood, witness the delegacies of Punk Daddy, Enlightened Defenders, that did not seek to replace the glorious heritage of success in The West Pacific with comedic failures of shamocracy in The North Pacific.

True representative government can find no greater expression that WECA, the protectors of tradition, honor, and the rank and file WA member in The West Pacific.

Eli used to recruit all WA nations during tart campaigns, inviting all nations to the forum, I could start that again I suppose. What to call the forum of government? a few suggestions Chamber of Babble? Anarchy of Decisionless Splendor? Assembly of Anarchical Struggle? The Gathering of I Told You So's?

I would say that our current lack of structure says that we are a de facto anarchical government type.

[OOC]I'm not opposed to any form of government, but the players should realize that I will oppose the Regional Assembly (or whatever it is named) choosing the Delegate, I think that should be done via the mechanism provided in the game. [/OOC] I believe the Oligarchy is good for the region, good for the players, and good for the NSVerse as a whole. That benevolent leadership we have exhibited should be extended to all the regions of the NSVerse for the good of the world. Bask in the reflected glory of the Guardians and prosper.

there is democracy it is the endorsement system in game, those that work at achieving endorsements and accumulating influence, from that political power is derived. the guardian system is open to all that invest the time to benefit the region, rogue legislators that wish to impose their will via the tyranny of bureaucracy need not apply.

Delegates are elected by the WA members of the region, it is a rule of the game. To impose a role play government on the 4492 members of the region that don't want to role play a legislature is worse than any nightmare you allege the Guardians cause, the Guardians are at least open to inviting in new members, your system insures that you and or a member of the clique you represent become Delegate. I'm skeptical of anyone advocating democracy in a game that already has it via the WA endorsement system. It is a sham to mask a power grab.

Oh and I think PD did just fine, the RA was a bunch of whiney jackasses.

I don't really care what type of offsite government we have. a big part of building a government is building a consensus. Build a consensus, recruit nations to join the legislature, remembering that the Guardians will be here always. Or I can assume the reigns as Delegate once again and ban all of you, which ever way you want to do it, I don't care.
