Our Country's debut in the world cup will be no easy task, as our beloved players will be put against some of the strongest teams in the entirety of Esferos, we from Tiveronia 'I Zuja wish them the best of luck in these following match days. Who are Candelù's team first match? And when? The first match for our players will happen Today, they'll be playing against Fujai's team, originating from the far north of Polaris, placed in 5th place in last year's competition. And After that? After this match, our players will find themselves against last year's 11th place team, directly from Heartfordshire and Jammbo, or H&J for short, Coming from the southern continent of Andolia. The match will be played November 19th. Future matches include: Saint Mark's Team, from Aura, Ranked 21st in the last Esferos World Cup. 1ST Chapter: Fanella First of all, here's the map of Fanella. It will be needed for some of the following categories. Geography Fanella is a region found in the north west of Candelù, it's biggest city and capital is Gabria, one of the oldest cities found in the Zannese lands. Like all of Candelù, Fanella is situated completly in a cold tundra biome, with an average yearly temperature of 13°C. The northern lands of Fanella are called "A' grande depression de 'l nord" (The great northern depression), being in average lower than the entirety of Candelù's land. Population The population in Fanella is mainly in it's Capital, Gabria (Arround 61·000 people), with a huge difference from the second biggest city, Gobbuš(20·250 people). Other notable cities are the ones shown in the map on the top of the page, these are: -Litišia (11·000 Citizens) -Simya (7·400 Citizens) -Nappa (6·900 Citizens) Economy Fanella is one of the most industrialized regions in Candelù, With Gabria being one of the biggest economic centres of the country. Fanella's market economy is characterized by a mix of private enterprise and government intervention. The region encourages the creation of various bussinesses and innovation, providing support to small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, there are regulations in place to ensure fair competition and prevent monopolies, especially in it's biggest sector, being the production of electronic devices. History (Really in short) The region has been Zannese for most of it's history, shortly being it's own nation, returning in the hands of the Zannese, and finally uniting along the other regions to form Candelù. Back in the Zannese days, Fanella was the center of the nation's economy, and it included Tiveria, which split with the union of Zanna and Granzia. The United Fanella Republic (Republikea Fagnea Združeni) was a short-lived nation created after the first Modern Granzian-Zannese war in 1078. It included the Regions of Fanella, Tiveria and Masoia. Tiveronia in a crysis after independence movement manifestation: Is it something not to worry about, or will Zanna declare independence? Latelly, many groups of people in the west of Candelù took part in manifestations, showing their desire of independence, wanting to divide Zanna and Granzia once again. This is thought to be caused from the recent laws proposed by our government, which, from the "Grup d'Indipendenza Zantese Tiveroniano" (GIZT) are seen as oppression of the Zannese culture and people. The laws are still being visioned by the government, but the leader of the independence movement, Luciano Kazmo confirmed: "If the Zannese's culture will officially need to becalled "Candeluian", we'll do our best to peacefully leave. That would NOT be what our great great grandparents agreed on anymore. We were promised the recognition of our culture, and we'll keep it, even as an indipendent nation!" The emperor is worried, like most of the Granzian population, he sees the inhabitants of Zanna as brothers. He is activelly partecipating with the government in the research of a solution. Candelù's President, Tarbano Dabro recently told to the whole nation: "We will not allow any law that can and will harm any person in Candelù, Zannese or Granzian, of any other ethnicity or coming from other nations of Esferos. Ways to solve and "fix" this Zannese crysis will be found." Only time will tell how this is going to end, us of Candela Mattutina hope for a peaceful and calm future for our country. One week per-month sounds good to me, even more, if it's not a set week (like, example, 2nd week of every month) it would be perfect to me, a nice break, to avoid a breakdown.

Here i'll explain (possibly in short) how the flag of Candelù, the flag that unites every candeluian person, from Granzia to Zanna, came to be. As we know from the factbook, Candelù is divided in 2 "Grandi Staì", meaning, basically, 2 Big Divisions. (In case you haven't read / didn't find that part of the factbook, i'll link it here, keep in mind it's still W.I.P. Divisions of Candelù) What i didn't mention though is, these 2 Big divisions have a flag for themself. In fact, the flag of Candelù is just these two united, showing exactly the union of the Granzian and Zannese people. Below are the 2 flags, Respectively Granzia first, and Zanna second. Each flag has their own meaning, every simbol etc. For this post, i'll just talk about the colors and simbols present in the national Candeluian flag. -Blue: Taken from the Granzian flag, it rapresents the ocean and rivers present in the Division, in the national flag it's exactly the same, but applied to the whole country. -Green: Taken from the Zannese flag, it rapresents the land, as it has always been landlocked. On the national flag, it rapresents (back when it was independent, and now as a division) the beautiful plains of the country. -Yellow (Star): Taken from the Zannese flag, and used in the same way as in the national flag, which is on the 4 pointed star. In both occasions, it shows hope for a bright future. -Red: Taken from both flags, but the meaning is taken from the Granzian flag. It shows that, even though Granzia (and nowadays Candelù) has always been small, it's people were still of value for the entirety of Esferos. Major flood in the Poldona division, Nature or constructive ignorance? In the last days, the region of Poldona was hit by major floods on all of it's territory. While the president of the region talks about a natural disaster, most of the population is complaining about the systems to prevent these disasters, the organization of the disasters, and in general, everything about the last days. Geography Candelù is a small nation in Doll Guldur, with beaches on the sea of Ching Shih, and on the rest of the borders you can find [unknown nation]. Counting the mainland and the small island of Gasboro, it all comes up to 99.748 Km2. Candelù is highly populated for it's landmass, having a density of 31.4 inhabitants per Km2. The total population equals to slightly more than 3 million. Most of the mainland is found on the "Granzian Plain", a small piece of land that gives the name to the candeluian region of "Granzia". On the Borders some mountains are present, and Candelù's highest mountain, "'l pico de a neve", is on the south-western area of the border. (A drone taken image of the mountains: the highest is "'l pico de a neve") In the various plains of Candelù it will be impossible to ignore the presence of our national animal, the Candeluian hare. New Maserut's soccer team wins the Candelù league, the glorious victory will be remembered. (Saturday, May 20th, 1423) Tiveria, after winning the league for 3 years in a row, was eventually beaten by its main rival, which also happens to be our capital, New Maserut. This match has shown how much New Maserut's team has evolved through the years, and how its new captain and coach were able to bring the city's squad to the win. The match took place in the capital's stadium, as anticipated before, it was against the city of Tiveria. Maserut's Team Tiveria's team No one expected New Maserut to dominate the game, and the 4th win in a row for Tiveria was the most likely scenario everyone thought of. Though, from the kickoff, Tiveria's players were overwhelmed by the enemy team's power. Each one of the moves, shooting, passing, it showed the dedication and commitment to win. New Maserut's offensive was able to breach through the enemies, allowing their star striker, Leonardo Ponte, to create a lot of score opportunities, most of which worked. In the end, the win was 6 goals to 2, signing not only the end of the streak for Tiveronia, but also, one of the most remarkable days in our Capitals' modern sports history. Long live the Emperor.

The nation formed after the union of two smaller nations, this event will be explained in detail in the History section of the Factbook. Shortly after the unexpected fall of the Italian Republic, the peninsula got divided, like it had in the past. It turned into a shattered land, made up by small states led by families that were part of the city's bourgeoisie. The various wars about these states aren't what I'm going to focus on, so let's talk about the main protagonist of the story, shall we? At the time, Candelù wasn't more than a small fraction of the land owned by Venice. In fact, it remained under Venetian control until the fall of the Venetian Republic itself. After this event, one of the villages tried to take over; its name was Breda. Breda was a heavily weaponized city in the Venetian era; its people were experts when it came to weapons: guns, bows, crossbows, even melee weapons—they had it all. It was a threat to everyone in the region. One of the cities most at risk was Candelù itself. At the time, Candelù was just a small village, specialized in everything related to art. Painting, music, architecture—Candelù was simply full of works of art; it focused so much on culture that it didn't even have an army. In this time, where war was almost certain, art wouldn't be what could save them. That's why they reached out to another city close by for help; that city was Maserada. Maserada was the opposite of Candelù, having almost no history as it was one of the newest Venetian cities, made shortly before the fall of the Republic, though it was almost as weaponized as Breda. People from maserada were expert blacksmiths; they created the best weapons present on the Peninsula. At first, both the leader and the people of Maserada weren't positive about supporting Candelù, fearing that, after the inevitable fall of the city, they'd become the main objective of Breda. Eventually, the alliance was signed. Breda saw this as a threat to its power, so the leader moved the army closer to the border with Candelù. War was about to begin, and Candelù formed its first ever army, made up of a very small number of volunteers. Breda eventually launched a massive attack, but the united forces of Candelù and Maserada proved to be too strong. With their combined strength and skills, they were able to defeat the enemy and protect their Cities. Breda was then defeated and annexed to Candelù. After years of collaboration, the government of Maserada organized a referendum, supported by Candelù, proposing to join the city to receive economic aid in exchange for their fighting and smithing skills. The final vote resulted in a "yes," and, to date, the autonomous region of Maserada is still part of Candelù's Empire, being the second most populated region. PS.
