  1. But for how long does a DoS last for?  It seems like there is usually a period of time after which a player can return even when they commit offences like using illegal scripts.  Is there a system of applying for reinstatement or was Tweedy's offence(s) so heinous that they are unspeakable?

I think the position of TWP Mayor should be established with immediate effect, but that might just attract the persecutors :(

  2. I have moved this thread from The Judiciary of The West Pacific topic so we can be more disciplined about some of our tg messages when replies to replies are often not connected and it becomes very confusing to follow a conversation unless you are a contortionist :)

On another tack, I believe we should be using our forum much more than we currently do for our day-to-day business.  However, I'm not saying business as usual is not usually being run well.

Hands   out to Guardian and delegates.

  3. Welcome to The West Pacific :)  I notice you are have joined the WA and endorsed our Delegate and Guardians for which you get great credit!  There is plenty to read about NS and our region and I suggest you visit our World Factbook Entry which is at the top of our regional page.  Nearly all the answers to many of your questions will be found there.  It's worth the read, particularly these:

  4. Bottom line for me, I still prefer Windows 7, but Windows 10 is okay. (Loathed Windows 8)  Just remember to adjust your privacy settings on 10 because Microsoft defaults them wide open so they can track you and feed you targeted ads.

Tell me more on how to do that please, as I've recently updated to Windows 10?

  5. I saw this on a NS forum entitled: NS History - You've Got Questions, We've Got Answers which might be the basis of an article:

"I think it's kinda hard to come up with something game-play related, which everyone would find funny. You often need a bit of familiarity with either the region or situation in question to see what's amusing about it. Here goes though.

I liked the time the Pacific submitted an application to join ADN. It was just after Mammothistan became delegate. From what I remember he mostly did it on a whim, expecting a quick rejection. ADN didn't feel like playing along though, so started the application process, thinking that Mammothistan would quickly admit that his application wasn't serious. Having gotten caught up in a situation noone had actually thought through, neither side were willing to back down and lose face though. So we spent a month or so, posting cordial/snide replies back and forth, acting towards the rest of NS as if we all might actually be interested in seeing the Pacific become a part of ADN. What was really amusing though was the fact that the ADN leadership got to explain to the rest of ADN why having the NPO join ADN wouldn't be a total disaster, while the NPO senate found themselves having to pacify a bunch of irate district governors and Pacific citizens, who were pissed that Mammothistan had submitted the application without consulting them.

At that point in time the NPO and ADN really disliked and distrusted each other, but neither side were willing to back down, even though the application process was leading everyone closer to an outcome no-one actually wanted. It never did come to the NPO actually joining, but I think we reached the point of ADN getting the application vote going before someone decided to call it quits."
