  1. I'll do something better. I'll be in IRC sporadically from Noon to 10pm US EST. Saturday is my school study day so, I'll be around the computer. drop lines and thoughts and I should be able to reply.
  2. Yes, I include all ambassadors as part of "the team".
  3. i think there is a mIRC app for phones...you could get on IRC from there.
  4. Hi guys, I'd like to hold a foreign affairs IRC discussion this Saturday (9/7/2013). The time would probably be around 8pm US EST but that's flexible. I'd like to discuss the team's thoughts on our foreign affairs, assign some work, and then go from there. Thanks, Punk Daddy Foreign Affairs Minister
  5. Sorry all - didn't get this out. Will get out throughout the day but unfortunately won't have the 2 added pieces noted above. Also - How can I get this in code format so I can copy paste?
  6. Way too long. Guys, we need something catchy not something that has all the details on it. For the Americans in the crowd, when you're advertising and someone says to you, "I'm lovin' it." you think McDonald's silly slogan, but you know what it is. We've got to differentiate ourselves from the crowd and lengthy scripts aren't going to do that.
  7. Had some major back pain last night, didn't get to this. Wife's bday today so unlikely today. Will do tomorrow.
  8. I'll add the 2 above items today and we'll get this to the masses tomorrow. Do we have a region forum list somewhere around here?
  9. For the 2 new recruits welcome aboard. Your assignments will be given to you by Sunday.
  10. DRAFT NOTE: Do not have final draft of AGP interview. Come Hell or High Water August 2013 Welcome to the latest edition of The West Pacific's update, Come Hell or High Water!! We will be bringing you the chocolatey anti-marsupial fun-loving good times of The West Pacific through this and updates to come! Government of the West Pacific Delegate: All Good People Guardians: Bhang Bhang Duc, Wickedly Evil People, Yy4u, Punk Reloaded, ROLHEATH, Darkesia Foreign Affairs Minister: Punk Daddy Interior Minister: Intelligent Holograms ISS Director: Powerboat Racer ISS Deputy Director: Morpheus Cheif Justice: Prison Grove TWP Mayor: Tweedy, (Proprietor of The ClubHouse) The Landstaad of The Imperium: Assembly of TWP Nations **** Statement on regions that use the new Telegram Scripting tools "Regions that maintain an Ingame Embassy with The West Pacific and engage in Mass Recruitment Telegram campaigns that are not limited to new nations in TWP, will have their Embassy immediately closed in formal protest. Further actions may be taken by the TWP Government as may be found to be appropriate to the situation. The Government of The West Pacific will be discussing further policies regarding this issue. - All Good People, Delegate of The West Pacific **** Severance of relations between the West Pacific and Gatesville Inc. Following the recent coup of Osiris, the West Pacific had some difficult decisions to make concerning our relationship with our then ally, Gatesville. Gatesville has, for a long time, been a close ally of the West Pacific and the decision to terminate relations with them was not an easy decision by Delegate AGP and the Guardians. Unfortunately, the West Pacific felt let down on a number of key issues concerning Gatesville; firstly, Gatesville's decision to associate themselves with known COPS violators, namely the Aezean Combine, is unforgivable to regions that uphold COPS; secondly, the West Pacific learned that members of the Gatesville High Council misrepresented a number of issues during treaty negotiations. On COPS, the West Pacific considers the COPS treaty inviolable and considers the association of Gatesville and the Aezean Combine to be an affront to the civilised regions of NationStates. The COPS treaty was created in order to show respect to the off-site property of all regions in NationStates and the West Pacific finds any region in violation or any region to be associated with those in violation of the treaty unworthy of holding relations with the West Pacific as they do not recognise such basic rights as maintaining an offsite forum. TWP Delegate All Good People has stated that there will be no hope of further TWP-Gatesville relations should Gatesville continue to work with known COPS violators. On misrepresentation, treaties are a sign of mutual respect and trust between regions and this trust was betrayed by Gatesville. The West Pacific is concerned that a region that would consider itself our ally would seek to manipulate us in an attempt to damage one of our fellow Game-Created regions. It had been revealed that this misrepresentation extended to issues concerning the now defunct Sovereign Confederation, security threats towards the West Pacific, claims of control over The West Pacific and others. It also became increasingly clear that the actions taken by Gatesville are, in fact, a personal vendetta. The West Pacific could not recognise nor endorse personal vendettas as an acceptable way to play the game. All of these insults towards the West Pacific added up and it became clear that treated relations with Gatesville were unpalatable. The Alco-Choco-Klingon Treaty was severed on the 17th July 2013. **** TWP Forces take Warzone Sandbox Zing!! **** Embassies June-August The following regions have opened embassies with the West Pacific since June: House of Five Leaves New Communist Region Mazeria NationStates The Allied Republics The Union of Democratic Left States Osiris The West Pacific looks forward to working with our new friends. **** AND NOW, A GLIMPSE INTO THE WORKINGS OF THE SUPER-SOPHISTICATED TWP ARMED FORCES:
  11. Ok, I'm going to put this together over the weekend and publish something on Monday. We can probably get this out early next week.
  12. Looking good. Karland has sent me some info as well. Good job guys.
  13. what??? we have a new channel? lol... Anyway - most feeders believe in the supremacy of the forum government. That is definitely not the case. One could argue in TWP, the ruling authority is the Guardians. And the Guardians are really made up of people who have agreed on a few things: Delegates have the right to choose their form of government (e.g. have an offsite gov or not) WA members can rebel against their delegates if their delegates do not do things they agree with. Guardians are there to protect the 'way of life' of TWP which places supremacy of the delegate in place. It's a very different system than the other feeders which seem to say that the in-game delegate's authority is derived from the offsite forum. We view it oppositely.
  14. IH - can you cover the dissolution of the TWP-GV treaty, embassies created in June/July/Aug, and update who's who in the current government so we have that. Karland - I'd like you to do a no more than 5 and no less than 3 question interview with Westwind about the direction of TWP. Send me the Q's before you send them to Westie. Second - try to find a funny comic out there that we can add for comic relief.
  15. Any volunteers to assist with the monthly update?
  16. We will have a foreign affairs update this month come hell or high water!
  17. Taking another crack at this AMOM? I guess one thing we share in common is the pursuit of a pan-regional alliance. I definitely echo WW's concerns. I'm personally not all too interested in such an alliance because they usually fall flat at the most inopportune times. In theory, I love them but in practice they just haven't been able to do much at all.
  18. Welcome to the embassy of Union of Democratic Left States.
