Statement from the NCC

West Fauthur

January 7th, 1423

For the past few months, diplomats from across Nur have gathered as part of the Nuran Cooperation Commission in West Fauthur to discuss plans on how the nations of Nur can be more unified to empower the continent on the global stage and reduce the reliance on the other continents. Diplomats have been attending from The Republic of Sekiya, The United Republics of FauthurThe Directorial Republic of RivalfiumeThe Infinite Empire of Aukera and The United Nations of Kalmach.

Many proposals have been submitted on ways that the nations of Nur can come together, including license plate standardization, freedom of movement, increased trade and a unified space program.

The NCC has come to an agreement on License Plate standardization, and a design has been agreed upon which all participating nations have agreed to adopt.

The red-tagged plates in Long and Square format.

The NCC has identified several reasons why standardized license plates will be good for Nurans:

  • Identification: License plates are used to identify vehicles and their owners. Standardized license plates make it easier to identify vehicles, especially in cases where there is a need to track down a particular vehicle for law enforcement or other purposes.
  • Security: Standardized license plates make it more difficult for people to forge or alter license plates, which helps to reduce crime and improve security.
  • International recognition: Standardized license plates make it easier for other countries, inside of and outside of Nur, to recognize and identify vehicles from a particular country. This can be important for customs and immigration purposes, as well as for law enforcement and other purposes.
  • Ease of use: Standardized license plates are easier to read and understand, which can make it easier for law enforcement and other officials to identify and track vehicles.

The rest of the white space on each plate is up to the discretion of the nation using it.

Whilst these plate will not be mandatory within each member nation, the updated plates shall be included with any newly made cars from July 1423. Additionally, after a interim period of 5 years, a red-tagged plate shall be required for foreign travel.
