And this is why I was missing your point: I'd been under the impression that they wouldn't be exact duplicates because Internal Affairs (again, in my view) is intended to deal with relationships among members, and lawmaking. However, after having seen what Ele wrote a while ago, I now know that I've been mistaken and you're right. Still, my proposal is to separate the task of helping newer members from the task of running the internal workings of the whole region and the like.

My personal view is that my assigning these tasks to a specific DA we help successful integration of new nations, so that they won't leave as soon as they start getting flooded with recruiTG's, and their transition to a higher level of participation in the RMB and off-site.
I see your point, but missing mine
What I am saying is why create a duplicate office when there is one for this purpose already? We just need a DA for internal Affairs.

- New Nation Affairs Ministry: It would be the task of this ministry to provide a centralized location for all help links, extra help material beyond what already exists, and answers other questions that may be asked. This ministry would not be just for the newbs, of course. Anyone could come here to ask a question about the game or the forums, so a different name may be appropriate in that sense. It could utilize in-game mechanics such as the RMB and telegrams to get the word out. If it was included in the WFE and welcome telegram, then it could increase traffic to and draw in more new nations to take part in the forums.
If I am not mistaken, I do believe that this falls under the purview of Internal Affairs. I am not sure if it is an official government position and they already have the sub-forum here on the TWP forum.
Maybe someone with more experience than myself can shed some light on this.

You do realise PD that you are probably the first person ever to receive a public apology from Eli. I had to reach for my defibrillator when I saw it.
Only joking Eli.
Are you trained to use said defibrillator BBD?

From the Desk Of High Executive Powerboat Racer, Offshore Racing
As High Executive of Offshore Racing, I do not wish to participate in this rebellion. This rebellion will serve no useful purpose to the citizens of Offshore Racing.
Instead, I will be closely monitoring the situation in order to make an informed decision on future participation of Offshore Racing within The West Pacific.

I am not completely against the idea, but I am not quite sold on it either.
The way it is worded currently, how will we ensure checks and balances are in place, in case someone is pursuing the delegacy of TWP for the wrong reasons?
I would hate (As I am sure most members of the voice and TWP as a whole) to see TWP fall due to the wrong delegate being putting in office.

I just want to make sure I understand this proposal before commenting.
The way I am reading it is this is a legal form of a coup as it were, am I correct?

Good to have you back PD.
First and foremost, I hope your Dad makes a speedy recovery.
The voice has been rather quiet, I was beginning to wonder if there was anything for us to do.
I am ready for whatever that needs doing to be done

In the midst of all this grief, I would like to post my absence.
Will be going to Wales to visit relatives from July 21st to August 14th.
And as a side note, sorry to hear about your unfortunate news.

Thank you for all your contributions to TWP Elegarth. Shame it had to come to this, but it is understandable.
Good luck with all your real life endeavours and hope to see you back soon.

I believe, and the new Advocate can correct this if he/she interprets the Charter differently, that there is no application process as any nation in TWP wishing to take part is automatically eligible for membership.
So, welcome to the Voice. Unfortunately, you can not stand for Advocate in this first election but there is no stipulation against you voting.
Fair enough and thank you for your quick response.

Sorry I have been gone a while. This thing called REAL LIFE caught up with me.
Now that I have got this real life thing nipped in the back side, I was wondering where do I go to reapply for membership here?

Dark,
I literally interpreted Henn City to have artificial gravity and be a sprawling space station, as there was no mention of either. I took what I was given and ran with it. If the minister<s> of make believe deem changes are necessary, I will update my post accordingly, no biggie

IC: *Damnit what in the world is going on here, some welcome this turned out to be.* Fredrick thought to himself. There was no obvious way out...it seemed like he was trapped like a rat.
There was some kind of device in the corner, however Fredrick did not know what it was. As he approached it, a bottle of water magically appeared. Fredrick took the bottle of water from the device and opened it and took a swig. "Ahhhh..." he said, as the cool refreshing water washed down his throat. He happened to be thirsty and this quenched his thirst for the time being.
As he was wondering what the device was, it finally dawned upon him. "AHA!" He exclaimed to no one, as the welcome center was empty, "It is a food/beverage replicator." He replied to himself.
"Looks like I am going to be here a while....so I suppose I better make the best of it." Fredrick mumbled to himself.
He found a bench near the replicator and laid his head down on his military bag, which was holding the only clothes and personal effects Fredrick had brought with him.

OOC: Here goes.
IC: It was the year 2150. Fredrick had just gotten off the ship which had transported him to Henn City for the first time.
As he stepped off the ship, he was in sheer awe of the size of the station on which he would be living...all of a sudden a voice boomed "KEEP the line moving please!" "Sorry...." Fredrick replied to the unknown officer.
The line through, what was now called "The New Citizen Processing Center" got short quick.
Fredrick got to the front of the line and a burly new citizen official stared him down with a suspicious look, "What is your purpose in coming here sir?" He boomed. "I got transferred here by the company I work for." Fredrick replied. The official broke out in a smile, "Welcome to Henn City. I trust your trip from Earth was a pleasant one?" He asked, as Fredrick was pulling out a data pad with his transfer notice, "Yes it was." Fredrick replied as he handed the pad to the official for inspection.
The official scrutinized the information on the pad quickly, "Everything is in order sir, you may proceed and welcome to Henn City once again." The official replied.
Fredrick made his way through. He was slightly confused on how to get to his living quarters, which were in a quiet area of Henn City.

If anyone needs help with RP, send me a message and I will try my best to reply.
I've had a fair bit of role play experience outside NS (Used to do a lot of star trek role play), both on IRC and forums.
