POLITICS HISTORY : Parliament of Arifiyyah In early foundation of Arifiyyah,all the power to chose ministers was under the Sultan himself. In 1359 under Sultan Nazhim Shah, the second Sultan Arifiyyah ascended the throne, introduced the elected parliamentary system where 222 member of parliaments were elected by the people,and become the helpers for Sultan administration matters,no parties that time. After that,many groups of public figures formed their own political party,after some groups of parliament members have different thoughts and ideologies. Since then, the people have agreed to fight for their respective political ideologies and form several political parties. Each took part in the first General Election. The National People’s Coalition, a conservative political coalition comprised of the United People Of Arifiyyah, the Arifiyyah Democratic Association and the Arifiyyah Islamic Party had won a landslide victory at the time. While the People's Justice Alliance, the central political alliance consisting of the Democratic Action Party and the Liberal Union Party is not won many seats. The Head of State is the Sultan and Chief Minister is the Head of government and the 2nd highest authority which helps Sultan in Administration matters. The government and opposition will debate and brainstorming plan for the Sultan to lead the country. State Legislative Assembly At the end of Sultan Arifiyyah 1 reign, His Majesty introduced a state administration system where several village heads in the state would be elected by village heads in other states to become the governor in the state. However, Sultan Nazhim Shah, the second Arifiyyah sultan, changed the system due to several corruption crimes among village heads and injustice. He introduced the State Legislative Assembly in each state. Governor as the head of every eight states in Arifiyyah elected by people. Parliament of Arifiyyah There are 60 seats in the Senate headed by the Sultan himself and 222 seats in the Chamber of the People headed by the Speaker appointed by the Sultan Pictures of members of the House of Representatives Political party or component that win the most seats in parliament will form the government with the Sultan and will be appointed as the Council of National Administration MAJLIS PENTADBIRAN NEGARA/COUNCIL OF NATIONAL ADMINISTRATION The Sultan will appoint in minimum of 12 members of Council of National Administration with the advise of Royal Advisor. This council will work as the government and managing the country Opposition Political Parties or Components that does not gain a majority in parliament will together form the opposition block as a check and balance to the government in Dewan Rakyat. HISTORY How it's all started The idea to establish a nation state came from the prince of the last OrangutanSia Sultan, Tuanku Arif Nazhim Bin Asohan. At that time, there was an area in OrangutanSia that had developed rapidly according to the times. However, the territory, population, administration, and direction of OrangutanSia are still unclear. Tuanku Arif returned to his homeland after 5 years of studying at Saint Mark's National University, with the idea of establishing a country with a smooth administration, a systematic government, a permanent population, a clear territory, and intact international relations. The idea was presented to his father, but was rejected. He was appointed Sultan OrangutanSia at the age of 33 after his father's passing. Before ruling for a month, Tuanku Arif has expressed his desire to the highest leaders to form a national nation like other countries. Some are opposed because they think he wants to destroy the traditions and heritage of his ancestors, and some agree. After getting approval from the leaders and the people, he established a special committee to study the formation of a country. It consists of 8 people from the Orang Hutan Tribe, two represent the local Dilberian, two represent the local Markians and two representatives of the Hall of Nations. After the research was done for a year, including drafting the national constitution and mapping the permanent territory. However, there was a bit of a dispute when it came to choosing a new name for the country. There are parties who propose to attach Tuanku Arif's name to the name of the country as a tribute to the founder of the new country. The Dewan Rakyat squabbled, some agreed and some wanted to keep the name OrangutanSia. after the voting was done, it was in favor of changing the name even though Tuanku Arif did not participate in this voting. He then held a national referendum to make a final decision. In the end, the decision to change the country's name was approved by the people, including 97% of the Orang Hutan Tribe. In the name selection phase, there are over thousands of suggestions. the name of the country by the people who have been rejected by the parliament. After two weeks in session, parliament still could not decide on a new name for the new OrangutanSia. There were also council members who told to keep the old name. On May 1, 1320, Tuanku Arif received a letter from a boy who also suggested the name of the country. "ARIFIYYAH" is only one word written on the paper. Tuanku Arif suddenly felt the greatness when saying the name ARIFIYYAH. On the following day, May 2, 1320, he also participated in this parliamentary session. The first word he said was "ARIFIYYAH". Unexpectedly, the whole hall clapped and chanted "ARIFIYYAH!". There was a member of the council who said that he had dreamed of this name. The unofficial use of the name ARIFIYYAH began on May 4, 1320. Government type selection Absolute Monarchy has long been practiced by OrangutanSia since hundreds of years ago. On April 15, 1320, a special parliamentary session was held to establish a new government system. In the beginning, Tuanku Arif. intends to implement a presidential republic system, on the grounds that everyone deserves to rule. However, before the proposal was thrown to the council members, a member stood up and proposed to maintain the absolute monarchy system. The entire assembly then agreed and chose the absolute monarchy with keeping the title Sultan to refer the highest authority. Proclamation of the NationState The journey continues. After more than a year of planning the basic policies for the formation of a new country, now is the time to declare them. The proposal to gazette the Proclamation was proposed by the late Dr. Sinusa Makhtor, one of the members of the parliament. The proclamation was written on August 3, 1320 by Tuanku Arif himself. On August 5, 1320, the proclamation was presented in parliament and passed easily. On that same day, the date of the declaration of the new country was set which was 31 August 1320. The birth of a Nation State August 31, 1320, the Arifiyyah Grand Palace assembly was filled with thousands and even millions of people waiting for the big announcement. Tuanku Arif arrived at the assembly at 9.00 am and rushed to the stage located in the middle of the field. Then, His Majesty took out a piece of paper from his coat pocket and read, "Kami,bangsa Arifiyyah,digelar Arifian,menyatakan kedaulatan ARIFIYYAH DARUL FIKR di bawah pemerintahan baginda Sultan dan ketaatan rakyatnya. Dengan matlamat utama untuk bersatu tanpa mengira kelainan wajah,pangkat dan harta.(Translation:We, the Arifiyyah nation, nicknamed Arifian, declare the sovereignty of ARIFIYYAH DARUL FIKR under the rule of His Majesty the Sultan and the obedience of his people. With the main goal of uniting regardless of face, rank and wealth.)" After that,Tuanku Arif gave the handmade Arifiyyah flag,and it was hung on the tall tower. Till today,Arifiyyah remain as one of the great and sovereign country in Esferos.. The Arifiyyah was founded and they named themselves as the Arifian,speak Arifianic language,and ruled by the family of Arif monarch. On 31 August 1320, Sultan Arif Billah Shah(formerly known as Tuanku Arif) declared the Proclamation of the NationState at the Arifiyyah Grand Palace,Kampong Besar. The origins of Arifian According to the National Constitution, Arifian refers to someone who was born in the Arifiyyah region, loyal to the Sultan and the country, proficient in the Arifianic language, and has Arifiyyah citizenship. This means, Arifian is a nation that consists of various origins. However, the first ethnic group in Arifiyyah, the Orang Hutan tribe, is the true Arifian. This Orang Hutan tribe is believed to have existed and inhabited OrangutanSia (now called Arifiyyah) about 500 years ago. According to a study on DNA samples of 50 Arifians from the Orang Hutan tribe including the royal family, all show that there is a mixture of Dilberian and Saint Markian DNA. The research group has made a statement that the Orang Hutan tribe is the offspring of a husband from Dilber and a wife from Saint Mark. However, the extreme weather that happened in the past 500 years is one of the reasons for the physical dissimilarity between the Orang Hutan tribe and Dilberian and Saint Markian. According to the story recorded in the book The Orangutan Sia: The Kingdom and Its People, there were several settler families from the corner of the Aura continent who came to explore this area, and found a kind of clever animal that looked like a human, the orangutan. They can almost understand each other and live in harmony between animals and humans. Since then, foreign travelers who traveled in OrangutanSia called the people there as Orang Hutan to distinguish between the titles of human and animal residents there. The leader of the Orang Hutan tribe is called Penghulu Besar (tribal chief) who plays the role of king or president. According to legend, the first Penghulu Besar was a man who was raised by an Orangutan due to the death of his parents when he was a baby. He then married a girl from outside Aura and that's where the lineage of the leader of the Orang Hutan tribe began. Until now, the descendants of Penghulu Besar are still preserved, namely Sultan Arifiyyah.
