This competition saw members of the 10000 Islands vote for their favourite flag through a preliminary and final round. Congratulations! Red Croatia has started sign ups for the next game, which will see the villagers face off against a group of cartoon Femme Fatales. Barry has already prepared himself for an evil role, showing us some disturbingly attractive pictures of him in a red dress. The Resistance 9 was won by the resistance again. Spies Aersoldorf and Ater Nox were no match for the brave Resistance members Pengu, Randomain and Witchcraft and Sorcery. Or maybe that's just what they want you to think, you never can tell in this game... The Candy Lane ran two games of Two Rooms, One Boom over the month. This game is run by PM so there isn't much to see, but it seems to have been well recieved by its players. The blue team won the first game, and the red team won the second. Ater Nox opened sign ups for a new game in Taco Island. Everyone is John will see Taco Islanders take turns as being voices in a man named John's head. It will be interesting to see how this turns out. In the lottery, Barry, Witchcraft & Sorcery, Random and Aersoldorf were all lucky enough to win some tacos again. Political Events: During May, there are elections for the New Republica South and Blue Canaria North Senate seats. In the New Republica South seat, we saw Tsim Sha Tsui decide not to run for his previous position. Paffnia, representing the Mayor Sheltor Political Party, and The Candy Lane, an independent, both went in the running for this seat. In the end, Paffnia was elected with a vote of 35-15. Meanwhile, in Blue Canaria North, incumbent senator Duckyian Empire ran against Ater Nox. In this seat, Ater Nox was elected with a vote of 35-13. Congratulations to our two new senators, and commiserations to those who were not elected. Firstly, forum levels have returned, showing how many posts each member has made. Secondly, some more colours have been added to the forum, with posts made within the last 24 and 48 hours now have colourful timestamps. Lastly, users can now roll dice in their posts. Shelter's Taco Island residents quickly took to this, with new threads such as "If you roll a 10, you gain immortality" and "Dice-Aided Count to 1000" popping up within hours of the new feature. We have recently opened a new embassy with Wysteria. The Candy Land has been chosen as our ambassador to Wysteria and has already made the long trip there. TITO News Tsim Sha Tsui has stood down from his position as Tactical Officer due to real life commitments. Thank you for your work as TO Tsim! Around the Islands Werewolf 35:'And Now for something Completely Different' come to an end with a victory for the nasty wolves. Congratulations Tierra de Madre and Echolilia! It wasn't long before WW36:'Vault 48' was started with the villagers determined not to eaten this time. This game is being run by Shizensky, and has a Fallout theme. Two resistance games were also completed. In Resistance 7, spies Randomain and Ater Nox walked themselves to an easy victory. Then, in Resistance 8, spies Barry and Ater Nox were defeated at the very last minute by what can only be described as a lucky guess by Aersoldorf, as both Barry and Ater Nox were utterly superb spies. This is only the second game won by the resistance team, so there was much rejoicing by the citizens of Shelter's Taco Island. Siuts was named Rookie of the Quarter, making him the 15th nation to receive the honour. Congratulations Siuts! The Mad Islander is the 10000 Islands regional magazine, and had previously faded into inactivity. Delegate Benevolent Thomas restarted the magazine and within days had over a dozen staff members and more than 300,000 tacos in donations. Political Events: September was election time again in the Islands. Here is the run down of what occured including an interesting political Shell game. Elections were held to fill the office of the Delegate and the senatorial seats for Blue Canaria North and New Republica south. The New Republica south race was fought out between new comer Duckyian Empire, vs incumbent Tsim Sha Tsui. Tsim came out on top despite a well fought campaign by Ducky. Incumbent Malecia ran unopposed in Blue Canaria North and continued on as Senior Senator, for a few seconds... Long time TITO member and Tactical Officer Benevolent Thomas ran against Minister of Labor Cerberion for the Delegate position, with Cerberion taking the seat. Round 1 of the Shell Game... find the Senator for Blue Canaria North. Roll up roll up ladies and gents! Here we have Senior Senator Malecia, all you have to do is find what roll he's filling. Watch the hands closely now... place your bets! I'm sorry you lose... Malecia is now the Minister of Labor and coming out of left field, Valoniah is appointed to fill the open seat of Blue Canaria North. Due to the vacancy created by Cerb taking Delegate, Malecia was snapped up to fill the permanent CO9 role as Minister of Labor, so congrats to him! Valoniah was appointed to fill the vacant seat by Grub, probably because Val is really funny when he is drunk. Sure he is a long term TITO Knight, has served in the 9 as a senator before, but mostly he is just funny drunk (He didn't write this bit, can you tell?). The shuffle caused more complications though as our Senior Senator had been snaffled to fill the open ministerial seat, and Tsim was found to be next in line, so congrats to him. Escanaba has gained his 150th Battlestar and has been named Knight Battalion Commander. Taco Island WW 27 concluded with a victory by the Villagers, despite the rules that kept the villagers isolated (no army building by the Elder). WW 28 took place on Taco Island. This rendition was modeled on the Gunfight at the OK Corral at Tombstone, AZ. The good guys won. WW 29 is currently underway on the Island. Results will be posted next month. It seems that some TITO members who moved through TNP were banned by the delegate. "Blue Wolf II, the part-time WA Delegate who did the bannings, is still part of their regional government. Some of them have reached out to us and the hope by all sides is that we will someday restore diplomatic relations."

I'm not sure about the closure of The North Pacific embassy, I'll check what it's about and get back to you. As it stands now, most of the issues have been resolved. The Awards system, Taco system and shop have yet to be restored. However, Founder Grub is hard at work on these issues and we anticipate that the forum will be restored within a relatively short period of time. Political Events No elections were held in June. In July, the Senate seats of Himes West and Lyonesse East will be up for grabs. The seat for Blue Canaria North was uncontested and therefore retained by incumbent Malecia * With the retirement of 3lit3 from the Senate, 3 candidates vied for the New Republica South Seat. This was a very long race and ultimately had to be decided by the Council of 9. The candidates were The Islands Party Candidate Tsim Sha Tsui, Valoniah, representing The Defender Party, and Ketab, carrying the banner of the Mayor Shelter Political Party. Per 10000 Islands Election Law, with no candidate receiving a 50% majority in the General election, a runoff had to be held between the top two candidates. The runoff ended in a tie between Valoniah and Tsim Sha Tsui. The race then moved into the Council of 9 where Tsim prevailed in a very close vote. * With Aersoldorf now serving as Immigration Minister, a special election was held for the Himes West seat. MSPP candidate Randomain prevailed over Olivia the Pig and Duckyian Empire, and will serve out the remainder of Aerso’s term.
