April, 2013 From the TWP Foreign Affairs Desk http://twp.nosync.org World Assembly Delegate: Wickely Evil People - A Change in the Delegacy The West Pacific was rocked last month by the announcement of the formation of the Wickedly Evil Chocolate Alliance (WECA) followed by the renounciation of the World Assembly by former Delegate Yy4u. In a close update, Wickedly Evil People gained the Delegacy over All Good People. Both nations were Guardians under Yy4u's Delegacy. Following his second banjection from the region, Yy4u temporarily relocated to Equilism, which successfully navigated the April 1st Zombie Apocolypse and nearly doubled their regional population as a result. (Well done and congratulations to Equilism). Yy4u has since returned to both The West Pacific and the World Assembly. - WECA The Wickedly Evil Chocoate Alliance, founded by Wickedly Evil People and Darkesia, has maintained a signup for nations that wish to join. WECA has pledged the "restoration of traditional West Pacific values of order, discipline, and allegiance to the Guardians" while vowing to end the "lingering decadence of a regime infested by North Pacificism" and "shamocracy". Guardians Bhang Bhang Duc and All Good People have since joined WECA. - The Opposition Ambassador Intelligent Holograms has formed 'The Opposition' to stand against WECA as they "disagree with the methodology of WECA and what we perceive as the future of TWP". A number of nations have signed up to join The Opposition, and a name change is being considered. Could this be the start of a two-party system in TWP ? Time will tell. - The Provisional Government Prior to recent events concerning the Delegacy, TWP had entered a new stage of activity, the like of which has not seen in a long time. Just six months ago, the forum of TWP was a barren wasteland with very few active inhabitants left. TWP had, effectively, moved to being almost purely in-game (with still one of the most active RMB's in any of the feeders) and, lo, it was unanimously decided by the TWP Guardians (as prompted by Former Delegate Punk Daddy) that the old Regional Assembly and Constitution would be discarded in favour of an in-game TWP ruled by the Delegates and his Guardians. Forum Founder Winnipeg announced that he would buy the licence for a new TWP forum (the one we're using now) using the same web address. A clean forum acted like a fresh start for TWP with conversation starting anew and Ambassadors arriving on our shores once again. Unfortunately, once again, TWP lapsed into inactivity for several months before re-awkening from it's slumber in February. TWP is now here to stay and we're open for business. Following our awakening, it seemed only fitting that TWP should reopen the halls of the RA, form a Provisional Government and begin the process leading to a fully active TWP. Thanks to the tireless work of Westwind (aka All Good People), that is where we are now. At this time the region is governed by The Provisional Government of The West Pacific. From Operation First Strike, to Wargames with our friends in Mordor, to cooperative operations with Westwind Flying Circus and the E-Army of Equilism. We continue to encourage experienced and inexperienced players alike to join us. The WPAF is an Independent NS military, refusing to be limited by narrow-sighted gameplay ideologies. - "Regions Will Fall" While many across NS have seen this bit of NS news from Max as refering to the April Fools Day Zombie event, TWP Intelligence intercepted this message to Max Barry: "Dear Mr. Barry, We demand that you cease and desist the use of the term 'Regions', as it is an internationally copyrighted term for geographical regions of the United Nations. Signed, Your friendly United Nations" - Zombie Apocolypse Due to the insight and quick work of leading members of The West Pacific, we were able to maintain the highest survival numbers of all the Feeder regions. Mind you, considering how few survived, it's not saying much. - Late Breaking News - With the surprise announcement that Westwind has joined WECA, Field Commander God-Emperor stated his hope that "WECA and The Opposition are able to work together," while Westwind replied that he will have more to day on the matter in coming days. - Following a second tied vote to name the regional aasembly, which the choices being "Landstraad" and "The Headquarters", Westwind made the final decision and announced "The Landstraad".
