    TAS'IKIDA: 'Atonesiátào āāng tas'Ikidátù, āāng lukatá lăsào wu, téwã betà tas'Tai dă.

    تأسعيكيدأ: عتؤنيسيأتّ انݢ تأسعيكيدأْتوّ، انݢ لوكاتاْ لاُسأِو و، تآوأ بءتأّ تسعتى دأّ.

     

    ENGLISH: Ikida is an Austronesian language, and a direct descendent of Indonesian, with some Thai roots.

    I'm just curious; how would you describe our international relations with each-other? Do you view Zogradia positively? Negatively? Do you consider us a vital ally/trade partner? I'd love to know your opinion!

    Zogradia's native language (Ikida) is a tonal language written in Latin, Cyrillic, Hangul, Thai and Jawi (all modified versions of each).

    Yes, RL and ingame have a hard hold on me.

    Give me a few to update the map.

    Edit: There is no land mass at the coordinates indicated. There is a crescent-shaped island due south of Medio at 31.8 however. Is this the land mass to which you refer?

    34.10 puts you in the water(no land masses). Is this correct?

    The first number should be the up/down, the second number is counted from left to right.

    34 down and 10 across is nothing but water on the map.

    Did you mean 10 down, 34 across perhaps?

    Yes, Zogradia is an archipelago of 1 relatively large, crescent-shaped main island, with 4 smaller islands around it.

     

    By the way, I meant 10 right, 34 down. Again, just south of Mediobogdum.

    ehehehe *-* sounds a lot like my old Stats professor. Only difference was he mumbled and swore in Dutch o.o for no reason, I might add.

    Just throwing this out there:

     

    When you start speaking a different language from your primary language, do you translate the words in your head as you speak?

     

    I don't know about the rest of you, but for me, I sort of go into what I call “Spanish mode” or “Dutch mode” where after a while, I start thinking in that language and associate objects with those words. Like for example, show me the red fruit in Spanish class and I'll instantly think «manzana», not “apple.” Does anyone else do this?

     

    After being in a foreign language class for a while, when someone asks me a question in English, my brain locks up for a moment and I have to try to get my mind to think in English again before I can answer. Anything similar happen to you guys?

    Sometimes. I am currently learning German, Italian, Spanish (reluctantly), Dutch, Turkish, Portuguese, Thai (trying to, at least), and Klingon (and I'm hoping to find a way to learn Arabic), but I can sustain a good conversation in German and Italian, and I will occasionally think of the word for something in one of those languages, like "anatra" instead of "duck", and if I tried to impersonate Germanyball, I would eventually just be speaking full German. I also rarely count in English. I know how to count to 10 in English, Spanish, German, Italian, Dutch, Klingon, Arabic, Russian, and Chinese, and I'm trying to memorize it in Thai and Korean. When I count things in my head, I often count in either German or Arabic if I don't expect to be counting any higher than 10 (12 is the highest I can go in Arabic ['ahad 'ashar]).

    I noticed that many new forum members around here introduce themselves when they first join, and I haven't done that yet, so...

     

    Hello! I represent the Democratic Co-Kingdom of Zogradia, a nation run by two kings with a fair hand (or two) in the middle of the Philippine Sea with an alright economy, but a strong spirit! I just wanted to say "hello" to all my neighbors*!
