  1. I expect that all this is well above my 'pay grade', but what will/might be the guidelines that will be used to sling-shot nations out of TWP?  Apart from TWP Regional Happenings, will there be any other tangible evidence to other nations as to who has 'got the chop' and are we looking at 5, 10, 20, 50, or 100 nations?

  2. My final suggestion after looking at the traffic on this subject is:

Level 1: Not endorsing Guardian and all Delegates - 15 endorsments

Level 2: Endorsing Guardian and all Delegates - 45 endorsements

Level 3: Level 2 requirements + active Government participation and active RMB participation - 75 endorsments

    Level 4: Level 3 requirements + being a Government Officer - 110 endorsements

Level 5: Level 4 requirements + being the Delegate or a Guardian - Uncapped

One problem with the phrase "active" is who defines just how many postings etc are sufficient to meet the requirement.  A small Government responsibility which would require a review to be carried out on a monthly or 3 month basis to keep nations in check, or to allow them to gain duly earned fluence?

  3. I've just spent an hour or so trawling through the various topics on TWP and have ended up with this one.

Perhaps a good way of interesting newcomers when they arrive in TWP, and stay for more than a few hours, is to present them with a 'Welcome Pack' which gives comprehensive details of the various areas where they can become involved in, where to find information, advice on endorsements and the region's policy on same, and what we would like from them as member nations.

I know that this would entail a not inconsiderable volume of work for someone who might be deputed for the task of pulling together the Pack but as I remember it as a still new kid on the block I spent quite some time groping in the dark trying to feel my way around.  To a certain extent, I still am.  Other regions seem to have a 'Welcoming Person' although again their input of information to newly-arrived nations is somewhat scant and often biased.

PD's suggestioin of a survey of TWP nations seems a good start point and to keep matters manageable we should only look at the 449 or so WA nations and ask them first as this must be our initial target audience.  I noted that the voting on the new name for our Landstraat commanded a massive 10 or so votes from a possible 20 or so Membership.  A good turnout of 50% but from a very low starting base...!

Just out of interest have all these members endorsed our Delegate and ALL Guardians?  I sure hope so!

  4. As a relatively newcomer to NS and a Minnow to boot, I should still like to comment on subject matter.  One of the fun things to do when I first enrolled in NS was to play around with WA endorsements to get a few under my belt. This habit has now been greatly curbed but momentum has taken over slightly!  New-comers seem to automatically receive at least 6 endorsements from the TWP WA Delegate and assorted Guardians - I think I have the full complement and I have returned said same to all.  I should hate to be capped at less than 75 endorsements just because I have not been taking part in campaigns abroad.

I am still learning the ropes in many areas but have been a faithful servant of TWP and have had lieutenants looking around at other regions.  I have come to the firm conclusion that none of those regions come up to the mark!

The idea of some form of endorsement capping seems eminently sensible but I do not fully comprehend the methodology of using or losing influence just to maintain order in the ranks!  I do not see the necessity for a further layer of control with Regional Officers which will lead to just more bureaucracy.  Any TWP WA nation that does not endorse the encumbent Delegate and Guardians within a few weeks of becoming a TWP WA Member should be given an ultimatum - endorse or be ejected.  You can not be a member with the priviledges and not expect to pay homage!  For those longer-standing free-loaders, just give them a period of time to comply and if they do not, eject them.

I care very much about TWP and trust that matters are not made too harsh for those like myself.  My humble suggestions are:

To continue to be a TWP WA Member - endorse WA Delegate and all Guardians - makes a minimum of 7 endorsements.

Retain present endorsement cap at 120 for non-Guardian nations.

Guardians - rotate all six on an annual basis ie, one 'off' every 2 months and replace from amongst the top TWP endorsed nations, which are considered by the present Guardians as being suitably qualified. Those Guardians who have been replaced will automatically have to reduce their endorsement level to no more than 120.

Do we have elections for Guardians - can we?

  5. Have now got a guilt complex as I have just applied to join the WECA but am having some second thoughts .... Ehmm

Wish to keep a foot in both camps if rules allows me to ....?  If they do, count me in and you can count on my vote anytime as long as it is not at the same time as the opposition wants it!

  6. As a chocoholic, to not join the WECA would be a no-brainer!  When would I receive my free sign-up gift of chocolate?  I am thinking of adding chocolate soldiers to my armed forces so will need a large supply of chocolate uniforms!

PS  How can I add my mug shot/flag to this posting in top lefthand corner instead of Mr Outline Shadow?  Please telegram Mediobogdum direct.

  7. It seems to me that there is much time spent on drinking coffee and lazing around enjoying the West Pacific sunshine!  Where can I expect to see some military action as a 'newbee'? I am trying to keep my Dux in a row!  Send man with message please.
