  2. "Mr. President," National Security Adviser Marian Proudfoot broke the silence when Red Palace Chief of Staff Jed Gill asked if there were no more topics to be discussed after finishing the last item presented in Other Matters as discussed at the start of the meeting. It was the time of the month when Luke Salazar, the President of the Federal Republic, had his Cabinet Cluster Meeting. "Not now, Marian," Gill interjected. Salazar only had to look at the far left of the table where Proudfoot was seated and to Gill at the right of Vice President Mel Gaspar (the VP is sitting next to the President's right side) and back to Proudfoot, which urged the former to speak. She cleared her throat before continuing. "Mr. President, it is the National Security Council's Secretariat's opinion that we should be eagerly monitoring the 'civil unrest' in Ryxtylopia with the Football World Cup happening." Salazar looked to his left, where the Military Affairs Secretary Carlo Charlton was sitting, and started, "Foreign Affairs is under your cluster, right?" "Yes, Mr. President," Charlton replied. Salazar nodded upwards, urging him to talk. "Ah, yes, Mr. President," Charlton continued, "it was discussed in our previous meeting in the Security, Justice, and Peace Cluster early this month, but the members decided not to apprise you yet unless we have an actual action plan that we can present to you. Right now, we're just implementing need-to-act protocols only." "I want the facts on my table in an hour, Carl," Salazar instructed Charlton before facing Proudfoot again, "you should also give me a briefer from your perspective, Marian. Though what do you recommend?" "Our assets in Ryxtylopia will continue monitoring the riots. If something worsens, I call Carlo and initiate the plan depending on where our players are by the time our plan commences. I have already submitted my recommendations on what to do when they are not playing any matches with contingencies when they are in the hotel or if one or two players or staff are not with the team, when they are transiting to or from the game, or when they are currently playing," Proudfoot replied. "Are the recommendations plausible?" Salazar asked Charlton. "We can work around the plans, Sir," Charlton replied. "Very good. Current logistics?" Salazar asked again. "A platoon of inactive graduates of the Executive Protection Course not detailed in the Presidential Security Service is currently in Ryxtylopia providing cover, Mr. President," Charlton replied. "They are equipped with only our military-issue handgun with four extra clips in their presence at all times. Their operational command and control are under the Headquarters and Headquarters Services Battalion, under Major John Read, of the Adaikesian brigade we sent to the Matixarrati Base. Once we receive confirmation from Marian, two platoons will push towards urban Ryxtylopia and implement the necessary action plan." "Mr. President," Gill interrupted, "is the plan more of an overkill? The presence of a foreign military alone, not only in any urban area, but what if they are playing in Ryxenia?" "Well, we hope that the riots do not escalate," Proudfoot raised her voice a little. "I'll talk to Edyuardó [Etsañó, the Ryxtylopian President]," Salazar raised his index finger and massaged his temples, "but the Union needs to know about this." "I'll talk to Anne [Duncan, the Adaikesian Foreign Affairs Secretary], Luke," Gaspar inserted, "We'll let her talk to her counterparts in Teralyon and Cambria."

  4. "The more time this young one is sitting at the President's Office, the more this country's going down the drain." That's the first line Fawn Dickson started in another episode of her podcast, "Perspectives Unleashed." "Luke might be popular with his friends outside the United Adaikes, but he only talks about proposed policies. Nothing comes to light, even in the House of Representatives. It all ends up in Committee Hearings, but nothing more productive! "Now, check this: Foreign Affairs Secretary Anne Duncan called a quick press conference. Assistant Secretary for Polaris Affairs Garnet Sinclair and Assistant Secretary for Auran Affairs Nidia Bourke were also at the table with Secretary Duncan at that press conference. The topic? Calling out the Ryxtylopian government on the missing journalists since World Football announced that Ryxtylopa will host the 3rd World Cup of Football. "Well, two things: number 1, aren't they friends? They have a joint base there in Matixarrati with Cambria and Teralyon. What do you think would happen to their friendship now and whatnot? And number two, quite the irony when they locked up the anti-female football players protesters. The Fujansk government may have to call us out again after we locked up the vlogger that spread shit about Former Secretary of Trade Colbert. Then, we found out months later that Felice was in connivance with the Dalimbari government. "The People's Democratic Party, the leading party in the House right now, as well as the President's party, are all of the same crazy kind. In the last session of the House, senior member Higinio Parsons, the representative of North Shil City, called the country's representatives to vote for a bill providing international aid to Ryxtylopia, with the Auran country's "slums" being highlighted by one international news channel. Mr. Parsons, with all due respect, can't we find a way for our people first to get out of our very comprehensive social programs, where I think they're the only reasons our finances are bleeding? Focus first on the "poor" ones in this country and help them look for jobs so that they won't be very dependent on our country's social programs. Almost everything is free in our country, yet we pay them because they are poor? "And take the extravagance from our international players! They're still the same Adaikesians in our country! They're already earning big in this country, yet we still provide them the bigger bucks just to feel important in other countries. We got some footage that our international football players are heavily guarded with guards in Ryxtylopia, from disembarking from their plane to their hotel and practices. Now, if the country's paying for those security personnel, I'll be sad for this country. Not counting the fact that they're staying in Hoteil Ila de Oro, one of the most luxurious hotels in the country, despite being "poor." And don't get me started with whatever we're doing over at Bilyad!"

  6. Breaking Barriers: National Football Team Makes History by Welcoming Female Players, Additional Female Staff In a groundbreaking move, the national football team has shattered longstanding norms by officially including female players in its ranks for the first time. In an announcement by the United Adaikes Football Association (UAFA) Head Myron Lillakis, 14 talented women have joined the squad, marking a significant step forward in gender inclusivity in sports. This historic decision embraces diversity on the field and extends to the coaching staff, with four accomplished women taking on critical roles in guiding and shaping the team's success. The inclusion of female players has been met with widespread support as fans and advocates for gender equality celebrate the progressive step taken by the UAFA. The move reflects a broader trend in the sports world towards dismantling gender barriers and providing equal opportunities for athletes, regardless of gender. The 14 female players selected to represent the nation bring a wealth of talent and skill to the team, challenging traditional notions of football as a male-dominated sport. Their presence on the field is set to inspire aspiring female athletes and pave the way for more opportunities in the future. The four female staff members, including coaches and support personnel, further demonstrate the commitment to fostering an inclusive environment within the team. Their expertise and leadership will undoubtedly contribute to the team's success, showcasing that gender should never be a barrier to pursuing a career in sports. As the national football team takes this historic leap forward, it sends a powerful message to the sporting world: talent knows no gender. The integration of female players and staff enriches the team and sets a precedent for other national teams to follow suit, fostering a more equitable and diverse landscape in football.

  8. Adding Libterraria and Alchera as NPCs to have the total number of signed-up teams be a multiple of 4 (24). The IC thread will be up within a few hours after announcing the IC host.
  9. Sign-ups are now officially closed! Twenty-two (22) nations have signed up for the World Cup of Football III, and two (2) nations intend to host it. The host bids are all received and have been discussed by Lorekeepers and Loremasters to determine the country that will host WCF III, which will be announced within a few hours. This OOC thread will remain open for OOC posts and questions related to the tournament.

  11. World Cup of Football III Please do not post in this thread if you are not a participant. Also, no OOC posts, please. Welcome to the World Cup of Football III! This is an international association football/soccer tournament. If you are a participant, you can post about your nation's football/soccer team (logo, players, kits, and other related information). You can also post about your team's preparations for this event! Another essential thing to include in your roster post is the "role play permissions." If you want to role-play while making sure that the other RPer(s) won't do inevitable things you don't want to happen to your team, you can post these below outlining what the other RPers can or cannot do, for example: RP permissions: If my opponent RPs first, they may... Injure my players: yes/no Assign my players yellow cards: yes/no Assign my players red cards: yes/no Godmod injuries: yes/no Godmod scoring: yes/no Godmod other events: yes/no The last three permissions, godmodding, is the role-playing of unrealistic or unbelievable things happening. So, if you want a more realistic experience for your team (and what we hopefully want in the games for the tournament), you can ask other RPers not to godmod in your matches. You can also add, leave, or remove any role permissions you want. It's your team, so we will let you dictate how your team plays (as long as it is realistic). Also, you can include what we call a "style modifier." This is a number between -5 and +5, indicating whether you are a defensive (leaning to negative numbers) or an offensive (leaning to positive numbers) team. If you don't put one, you'll automatically get a neutral modifier (0.00), which is fine. There will be three (3) attributes that will determine the skill of a team for the scorinator (xkoranate): base skill, RP post bonuses, and roster bonus. 30% of the base skill and 70% of the total of the RP post bonuses and roster bonus will be the basis for the skill attribute of a team in the scorinator. The base skill will be from the latest Football Rankings managed by the Federal Republic of the United Adaikes. NPCs will have their base skill halved in the scorinator during the whole duration of the tournament. As this is a sports RP event, all RPs made by a participant will be given a bonus. However, we believe in "Quality over quantity". It does not mean that a participant with the most number of RP posts in the tournament will have the highest RP bonus. It should be known that multiple posts of a participant before a specific matchday will only be credited to that incoming matchday alone, except for posts about the team roster, as it is also a different RP bonus attribute. For RP posts, the highest score that a participant can receive in a specific matchday is 1 point, with the lowest score being 0.1, based on the quality of the current best RP for that matchday, as determined by the OOC host. On succeeding matchdays, the RP bonus received from the previous matchdays will be accumulated to the total RP post bonus. The roster bonus is about your team (as mentioned above, the logo, players, kits, and any other related information). Participants posting only the starting XI of their team will only receive 0.5 points. Posting 27 or more players will receive 1 point. Anything between 12-26 will have 0.70 points. The roster bonus will be doubled if a participant submits comprehensive team information (with team logo and kit(s) at the minimum, receiving at least a 1.2x multiplier for the bonus). With this, may I request that the post regarding your roster is posted first and that your RP for the first matchday be separate. If you have any questions, you can always ask me in Discord. You can DM me or drop your question in #wcf3 of the RP server. You can also ask me in the OOC thread. Note: Reserving posts are only for the IC host (Ryxtylopia) and OOC host (United Adaikes).
  12. Signups & OOC Thread Welcome to the World Cup of Football III for the TWP RP world of Esferos and its nations, as we bring the most popular sport in the world right here in our forums! For those who have been participants in previous sports roleplay (the Rugby World Cups, the Summer Esferiads, among others), then you know there will be something like this. For those that have not, don't worry! To enter the World Cup of Football III, just add a reply to this topic by saying, "I want to sign up for the World Cup of Football III," or anything along the lines there. However, with the same rules in the RMB, we won't allow double posting (except for me to post my intentions in signing up ). You can always edit your reply at any given time, how many times you want. Also, this thread is for signups and OOC (out-of-character) posts, like questions about the tournament. If you don't like asking questions here, you can ask them in #sports in our RP Discord server or message me there directly. The IC (in-character) thread where we will be posting our nations' team information (players, kits, logo, anything related to such), roleplay (preparations, match day events), and results will be separate. The link shall be announced in Discord or viewed here in our forums soon. Also, I will be scorinating this tournament or the OOC host. As to the IC host of the tournament, the Lorekeepers and Loremasters will select from the received bids of Veteran Storytellers. So, for now, we will only accept signups for this tournament. That's all for now. Confused about how we will be doing this? New with scorinating? Taking a page from Reçu's book, read below. Signed-up nations (24):

It has 16 teams coming from private companies, branches of the military of the country, as well as its military academy (which is not a member of the UAAUA). President, United Adaikes National Volleyball Federation: Becka Reynolds Commissioner, Adaikes Volleyball League: Amado Tupper It has two tournaments in one season. They play a double round-robin with the teams in their group before the top four (4) teams in each group advance to a final double-elimination stage to determine the winner of the AVL Invitational.
