Ironically, everyone sneaking around behind each other's backs was Early nationstate as well.
p.s. hi halmont.
Hi Dilber, talk to me about those freaking squats!!? omg.
I also started writing a post here, and kinda hit the back button and lost it. *shakes head*
And yes, all human behaviors have been present in NS since the beginning. Poker faces were easy back then. I should know.

I was 16 years old when I found Nationstates in 2004 (hence the name 'the poo dynasty'... erm, yeah).
I'm 30 now.
Along the way, I think I was a dick to most everyone here at some point in my career, particularly in my late teenage years (sorry about that). My first three years in the game were spent spinning tires as a younger and dumber version of Cormac, first as a rigidly hardcore Francoist, then as an ADN hardliner, then back to a more antagonistic gameplayer, etc. I matured just a bit in my early 20s and stopped taking the game so damned seriously, which in turn enabled me to become a somewhat better player and coup a bunch of places. Afterwards, I spent a year or two boasting endlessly about it on the NS GP forums and elsewhere. Eventually, I lost interest in this and "retired" about 5 years ago, which brings me to the present.
Some of my best memories of the game were from the old s8 TWP forum. TWP had a completely unrealistic government structure at the time -- loosely based on the US Constitution as far as I could tell, and with a figurehead delegate. But the player base at the time was so great that it didn't matter. I even miss F&P; in fact he's one of the few I miss the most. The kid could always be counted on to spice up a debate lol. Back then, we fought over lofty ideals, like offsite forum democracy vs Francoism or whatever, and that made the game stimulating. Now, it's just boring and endless R/D drivel, as it's been for the last 5-10 years.
Saying that you even miss F&P is quite a statement. Most of us barely liked him -- awesome human, but oh my god his views were so annoying at times, that whenever he replied something in the forums I was already shaking my head before reading. Great times!

I miss my old Meritocratic Census...back in the day before NS really provided any stats outside of the XML API.
Winni, is that you?!
-
Yup, I told them via private message.
-
Yay, I'll work on it.
-
TNP - they make drama.
Almost like the TNT slogan.
-
Cool enough, I put in a request for a World Assembly Affairs subforum.
Thanks!
-
We could ask Winni to build a sub-forum here dedicated to WA resolution discussion if you think that'd help.
That works for me.

I took this from the NS Wiki, because... well there's much stuff I didn't remember.
I only added the information from TWP, but if you want to read more just click here

I started in NS in March 2003, and by 2009 I was kind of out of the game... but always came back for a bit.. Now, I'm back and let's see what happens.
IRL - I was 18 and in my first year of University when I joined NS. I studied Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering with a minor in Economics. It's been almost 10 years now, and I'm less than a month short of my 28th bday. For the past 6 1/2 years I've been working in a major Telecommunications and ISP in the Dominican Republic, which is where I'm from.
And yep, I'm happy of being here.

I was wondering if you should formalize it by posting the new issues in a single thread...
Thoughts?

Hi Hal
Nice to see you again.
Hello Kingsteck!! what's up?
-
Hey Kevin!!
-
Hear hear JR!
-
This is too funny.
-
My initial response upon seeing the topic title was "of course" :-P
My thoughts exactly.
-
In the end we can bring all of the issues here, but only really discuss and vote in those who really matter.
-
Hello all,
There's something that I was looking for on the few days I've been around, something that used to be of some importance back when the WA was the UN.
That's the discussion related to the issues posted by the WA that every WA Member and WA Region should vote.
I was wondering if its the interest of the Delegate and the members of the Region if we should renew this type of discussion here.
Thanks for your attention.

Activity in the forum has always been a major factor in NS, even back in the day - we had some sort of activity most of the post had replies at least once or twice per day, but still when you looked into the collective of posts activity was low, and it's not surprising... forums tend to be places of more analysis, looking for information and less about day 2 day or trivial conversation. Now with the availability of discord and other apps, makes more complicated to keep up.
I have an idea circling what to do with the forums, but still needs more analysis.
