Official statement regarding the suspension of the Ryxtylopiana-Ystiandes match This is an official statement from the Ryxtylopian Football Federation, regarding the suspension of the match between Ryxtylopiana and Ystiandes on the 20th matchday of the first stage of the First National League. INCIDENT REPORT: During the match between clubs: Unyon Ryxtylopiana, and Club di Diporte Ystiandes di Ryxtylopia, an unfortunate incident occurred were, proyectiles including rocks, bottles, and a few flares were thrown by the local supporters towards the visiting team's players after an inapropriate goal celebration was done in the 68th minute by visiting player Dinco Arvález towards the local supporters. The action by the local supporters in the Diportivo Ryxtylopiano Stadium forced the referee to stop, and later call off the match for security reasons by the 70th minute, no injuries have been reported on either side, however behavior like this from supporters is unacceptable due to the risk of injury to players from both teams and, however the actions of the visiting team are being reviewed to confirm if said actions were provocative towards the local team. MEASURES TAKEN: The match will be suspended until further notice, while representatives from both clubs discuss the situation, as well as allowing sport authorities to review the case, to see if further action will be taken. The preliminary review shows the actions of the home team supporters to be unacceptable, but also find actions by the visiting team to be provocative, and that the player from the visiting team that made the provocatory goal celebration knew the potential mesage they were sending to the home fans with said goal celebration. As per concrete action, the measure being currently considered is a fine towards the local team and the temporary suspension of the offender from the visiting team, any further action will be reported through official means in the next days. We apologize for the inconvinience, this is a necessary measure from the RFF to promote good sportsmanship and protect both players and supporters from both teams.
